The Purpose-Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here For?x$0.80
    (1097 reviews)
Best Price: $21.99 $0.80
The #1 international bestseller! This 40-day spiritual journey will help you understand why you are alive and God’s amazing plan for you both now and for eternity. Winner of the Gold Medallion Book Award and Christian Book of the Year Award. "Excellent for Homeschool Use"
The spiritual premise in The Purpose-Driven Life is that there are no accidents---God planned everything and everyone. Therefore, every human has a divine purpose, according to God's master plan. Like a twist on John F. Kennedy's famous inaugural address, this book could be summed up like this: "So my fellow Christians, ask not what God can do for your life plan, ask what your life can do for God's plan." Those who are looking for advice on finding one's calling through career choice, creative expression, or any form of self-discovery should go elsewhere. This is not about self-exploration; it is about purposeful devotion to a Christian God. The book is set up to be a 40-day immersion plan, recognizing that the Bible favors the number 40 as a "spiritually significant time," according to author Rick Warren, the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, touted as one of the nation largest congregations. Warren's hope is that readers will "interact" with the 40 chapters, reading them one day at a time, with extensive underlining and writing in the margins. As an inspirational manifesto for creating a more worshipful, church-driven life, this book delivers. Every page is laden with references to scripture or dogma. But it does not do much to address the challenges of modern Christian living, with its competing material, professional, and financial distractions. Nonetheless, this is probably an excellent resource for devout Christians who crave a jumpstart back to worshipfulness. --Gail Hudson

Good overall picture of Christianity--I had 2 criticisms By A11B61QBGHLQDN on 2003-11-14
The Purpose-Driven Life focuses on helping readers answer the question, "What on earth am I here for?" Warren sets out to help readers become the people that God wants them to be.
He elaborates on five truths to answer this question of why we are here. According to Warren, we exist for the purposes of worship, ministry, evangelism, fellowship and discipleship. He states that in fulfilling these roles on earth, we find and fulfill our purposes.
This is a comprehensive book about how to live the Christian life successfully. It discusses most of the major themes of The Bible. Warren cites over 1,000 scriptures in the book. He rarely makes a point without quoting from the Bible. The messages of the chapters are relevant for new and mature Christians.
The book is formatted in 40 chapters. Warren suggests readers study a chapter a day for 40 days, so that the reader can take time to reflect and meditate on each chapter's lesson. Each chapter ends with a main point to consider, a scripture to remember and a question to answer. I found these questions to be thought-provoking and meaningful.
This book is an excellent tool for study groups to read and discuss. It emphasizes the importance of Christian character development and of becoming an active member of a community of believers. Warren provides reasons and practical ways for the reader to serve others inside and outside the church.
For a church wanting to develop individuals excited and prepared to do ministry, promoting studies of The Purpose-Driven Life would help to meet this objective. Warren concludes the book by addressing each person's mission within the church and world. He also includes an appendix with further questions to initiate discussion among readers.
In citing 1000 scriptures throughout the book, Warren uses 15 different Bible translations interchangeably. He explains that all translations have limitations and that he uses various translations to present scriptures in a fresh way. The references for the scriptures he quotes are in endnotes, so I was continually turning to the back of the book to discover the version and verse of a scripture. To a minor extent, I think this undermines the integrity and flow of the book.
I always try to keep in mind when reading a book like this that the author's opinions are not infallible like the Bible. I say this because there are a few times while reading this book when I disagreed with an opinion of Warren's which was stated as a fact. Readers should keep in mind that opinions of Christian authors are debatable and not gospel.
I don't think these two criticisms detract much from the value of this book.
Warren writes that "The purpose of your life fits into a much larger, cosmic purpose that God has designed for eternity. That's what this book is about." In The Purpose Driven Life, Warren has written indefatigably about this purpose, and I think reading it will help you identify and fulfill your purpose.

A blueprint for christian living By A3CTIEIZ75OOJ6 on 2003-11-21
The Purpose-Driven Life is a blueprint for christian living in the 21st century---a lifestyle based on God's eternal purposes, not cultural values. Using over 1,200 scriptural quotes and references, it challenges the conventional definitions of worship, fellowship, desclipleship, ministry, and evangelism.I have the book as well as the cd. This is a program that you will want to read and re-read, listen to and re-listen to over and over. It will be a classic treasured by generations to come. My personal testimonial is that I have been following the program for just under 40 days and feel renewed. Some people have written in their reviews that they have a problem with Rick Warren because he recommends going to church. Say what! People don't want to attend church? Any church? They can go to the movies, but can't go to church? Can spend hours on the internet bashing good, quality books like this one, but can't find the time to go to church? Well I think that speaks for itself.
Design a life of purpose By on 2004-01-01
I rate this book as one of the best christian books available. Although I was aware of this book for quite some time, The Purpose Driven Life was given to me as a gift for Christmas. I read the whole book in a few days over the holiday vacation and have since started over taking a chapter a day and really absorbing the contents. The Purpose Driven Life is truly a life changing book and a must read for anyone who wants the most out of life and live their lives according to the principles of God.
What is your purpose in life? Why are you here? By on 2003-11-16
This book helps to answer these questions. Fans of rah-rah feel good type books may not like this book. People who have forgotten about God, definitely will not like this book. I bumped into a gentlmen the other day who gave me a great scientific explanation how this universe came to be and it wasn't because of God. I also found out that this guy is behind on his bills, has been going from job to job and driving a 20 year old beaten up piece of junk that cost him more to repair that what it's worth. We were all put on this planet for a reason. Discovering that reason is what will take you from where you are now to where you want to be. The Purpose-Driven Life by Rick Warren is a great book and I highly recommend it.
40 DAYS TO GREATNESS! By A314BWDQVC20D7 on 2003-12-30
I have read a lot of books on christianity and I have read alot of books on personal development. This books ranks right up there with Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People in terms of being a great personal development/self help book and ranks up there with the best of the best in Christianity books.I recommend reading a chapter a day for 40 days and then repeating the process and supplement with the Bible. In another regard, I really cannot understand the 1 star reviews and bashing of this book. But then I noticed that some people even gave The Holy Bible 1 stars and bashed that book. Heaven help us when people bash the Holy Bible. Says a lot about those people. I highly recommend The Purpose Driven Life for anyone who wants to reach their potential.
- Very impressive book - definitely a must read
     By A20MQET76X0ZDU on 2003-11-23
This book was recommended to me by one of our church leaders who in turn had it recommended to him by our minister. Anyone who is a bonifide christian and has practiced faithfully christian principles (not those who quickly pervuse a bible and few other religion based books to write nasty review and try to appear knowledgeable) will understand the value of this incredible book by Rick Warren.Other books I recommend are "The Traveling Light", "The Prayer of Jabez" and "The Case for Christ."
- Very good book
     By A2N4I2SMSXOGSH on 2003-11-18
Our family really enjoys this book. We read a chapter every day and that includes our children. Sally and Paul listen as we read a chapter per day after our evening meal. It's like high protein for the soul.I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to make the most out of life. The Purpose-Driven Life is an OUTSTANDING book and I highly recommend that you share it with your families.
- I found it!

I had been searching for a quality book and this is it. Based on scriptures, this book helped me find my life purpose and I highly recommend it to everyone.
- Outstanding book - a must read

With so mnay horrible books on the market. So much calamity inthe world, never has there been a better time for a book like The Purpose Driven Life.Christians will appreciate th is book. Some whose only purpose in life is to become a "Top 500" reviewer at Amazon will not find this book worthwhile and for good reason; their values are way out of sinc and are meaningless. So are their reviews. 5 stars all the way!
- Why are you here?
     By A1I6QXCG5KNA9U on 2004-02-02
This book, The Purpose Driven Life may very well answer that question for you. Based on some of th e reviews that I have read, it appears that many people have missed the whole point of this book and perhaps don't know why they are here.I am not here to preach, only to advise. Our time on this spinning planet is so preciously short. Why not make the most of that time? The Purpose Driven Life is a great start.
- Powerfully impacted my life
     By A3JX295R589TX5 on 2004-04-05
I picked this book up on Saturday at our local Costco's. Couldn't put it down. Our family took turns reading passages of this great earlier today at Sunday dinner and had a family discussion afterwards. This is an AWESOME book. Highly recommended.
- Very inspiring book
     By on 2004-02-23
The Purpose Driven Life inspired me to make several changes in my personal and business life. For one, I am now more active in my church and in regard to family, I am now spending more time with family where previously I was a workaholic going for the money, spending way too much time at work and giving whatever was left (which wasn't much) to my family. The Purpose Driven Life is an OUTSTANDING book that will impact your life. This is truly a must read.
- Outstanding book by Warren
     By AQJBABHQNBJF2 on 2004-02-23
I was talking to my minister over the weekend and asked him what he thought about this book and he highly recommended it. In fact, he was so excited about it that he brought it up in church and highly recommended it to the entire clergy. The Purpose Driven Life will help you design a life of purpose that will go beyond the bashers of this book who have no life other than in front of their pc's all day and all night bashing good books like this one. This p erson (it really is only one person who reposts over and over) is hoping to keep the ranking on The Purpose Driven Life low so that low quality books written by Nixonites and fired White House personel can make the top ten list. That should tell you a thing or two about his values and his lack of purpose. My minister and I also talked about people who commit suicide. I asked him if he thought that God would allow these people into his Kingdom since taking a life, even your own is clearly against God's commandments. My minister thought for a second or two and said he thought that God would allow those people into his Kingdom if for no other reason than people who dropped to the level of comitting suicide are probably not responsible; they are so far gone that they cannot be held responsible for their actions. Perhaps God will look at this sole 1 star basher in the same way (I hope for his sake) and forgive him for wasting so much valuable time that could be better utilized and for attacking the word of God. Forgive him for he knows not what he does and obviously lives a very boring life.
- The Meaning Of Life.
     By A1JM52GL0KDRGW on 2003-05-31
Ever wonder what your purpose in this world is or what lies beyond it? Are you unhappy with your life? Wish there was something better than where you are now, or how you live your life?Well, there is a solution, and Rick Warren points us all to the answer. Mr. Warren has created the first self-help book at looks outside the self. What do all self-help books suggest? The answer lies within you. Your problem and solution are within you. Really? Let me ask you a question, that the author poses. If I gave you an invention, some device lets say, and I asked you to figure out how it worked, what would you do? Ask the person who created the device? How about look up how the device works in some form of an instruction manual? Well, when it comes to you, where is your instruction manual? One didn't pop out of the womb when you were born. Well, actually the creator of you, and all of us did leave an instruction manual of sorts. Its the bible. The very word of God. Its his message to us. What God expects from us. How to live our life. What awaits us in the next life and eternity. Rick Warren has put together the most comprehensive manual on how to live like a Christian. He's divided the book into 40 chapters, and suggests that you read only one chapter a day. The chapters breakdown a particular area of subject matter, backed by very appropriate passages from the New Testament. Each chapter ends on a reflection for the reader to think and pray about. The author poses 5 points that a Christian should live by in order to not only life a fulfilling Christian life, but also have a meaningful relationship with God and a fulfilling life in heaven. The main points are belief in Jesus Christ and how you live your Christian life. The first point determines if you are going to heaven. The second point determines what you are going to be doing in heaven. The remaining points the author makes help clarify what is expected of us Christians. Many Christians these days don't go to church, or go to church only 1 day a week. God doesn't want you one day a week. He wants you every moment of the day. The author suggests in our daily activities, no matter what they are to do them in remembrance of the Lord. By doing so, he suggests that we are in fact worshipping God. Also, its important to attend Church to maintain fellowship with other Christians. Fellowship can't be stressed enough as it helps us all in our walk. Prayer? Many of us don't pray enough. Rick Warren gives some great suggestions on improving prayer. I'm finding that I pray more often than I've prayed before. I thank God for Rick Warren's ideas. Purpose Driven Life is a great book, but I did have some problems with it. What I didn't like about the book? I understand that Rick Warren would like to make money from this book. Hey, how else is he going to pay the bills and upkeep. The first chapter and final section in Purpose Driven Life covers all the Purpose Driven Life branded items you can buy along with this book. Purpose Driven calendar with inspirational quotes. Purpose Driven date book. Purpose Driven mouse pad, coffee mug...etc...etc. I found commercial aspect of these sections to border on the tacky. It wasn't enough to detract from the book and the message presented, but it sort of put me off initially. Perhaps a single page in the end of the book with a web address to a site that sells these items would be more appropriate. Also, the author claims that God has changed many people's life in the course of 40 days. He gives a number of biblical examples from Noah, to Daniel, to Jesus Christ. Yes, God does work miracles in our lives over time, but to make a claim that God is going to change your life in 40 days is a bit preposterous. God works on his time, not ours. How do you know that someone may read this book in 1 day and not be changed by its word in a week? How about a year? A few years? First time Christians or even those that are seeking the Christian life may be let down in expectations that God is going to change them in 40 days. Overall I highly recommend Purpose Driven Life to the new as well as the old Christian alike. I've been a born-again Christian for about 3 years and I feel that Mr. Warren's book has added a new dimension to my relationship with God that I've overlooked.
- Not Impressed
     By ATXV05JC5UVBT on 2003-11-03
I bought this book on a recommendation from a friend. I was pretty excited to read it after reading the introduction, and even the first day. But as my 40 days wore on, i got tired of the way Rick Warren repeats himself, refers constantly to his church (Because they do everything RIGHT, obviously) and the way he is always plugging his other products (the Purpose Driven Life Journal, The Purpose Driven Church, etc.) Soon after i started reading the book, my church started doing the 40 days of purpose campaign... complete with videos featuring Rick Warren himself who actually prays on the videos. Overall, I really didn't like the book. I got a little bit out of it, but not really anything new that i couldn't have gotten straight from the Bible itself... and by that I mean a TRANSLATION of the Bible, not a Paraphrase (the message) which Rick Warren is SO fond of using.
- A life without purpose?
     By on 2004-02-28
I am confused and confounded by all of these one star reviews. Perhaps it really is one person repeatedly posting, I don't know, buut what I do know is that a life without purpose is not much of a life at all.Pastor Warren really delivers in this book. It is not Pastor Rick Warren's opinion or based on theory, it is based on fact and is backed by biblical scriptures. If you can't trust the word of God, who can you trust? Perhaps some people feel uneasy about scripture. They are the people that need this book the most! And I would add one other---THE BIBLE! Ric Warren offers powerful advice. If you will follow his program for just 40 days, your whole life will change. It has helped me and everyone that I know. Great book. Highly recommended.
- If you are looking for mental protein then this feeds like
     By A265PKLLZ83YYD on 2004-02-27
a steak! The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren is in fact a "GROUNDBREAKING MANIFESTO ON THE MEANING OF LIFE."This great book by Rick Warren is like a low carb/high protein diet for your mind and even more importantly, your soul.On page 19, I found an interesting qute from the Bible;"Self-help is of not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way to finding yourself, your true self."And on page 18; "Focusing on ourselves will never reveal our life's purpose."And..."You were made by God and for God and untill you understand that, nothing will make sense."The Purpose Driven Life is not a self help book obviously. It is about what matters most...about becoming what God wanted you to become and what he created you for. Some people have problems with the scriptures. So did I at one time in my life. Then I changed and my whole life changed for the better. I found it it interesting that even Billy Graham at one time doubted the bible. None of us are perfect but fortunately we were willing to be corrected. The Purpose Driven Life is a must read book, more necessary today than even. What, with same sex marriages and all sorts of crazy things going on, God's word is more important now than ever before.Read this book and pass it along to friends and family.
- Outstanding Book--changed my life!
     By A2PVXDHVJLMW2L on 2004-04-07
I can't recommend this book highly enough. What a great read! And what better philosophy than the word of God. Judging b y the 1 star reviewer and number of unhelpful votes by that one 1 star reviewer, it looks like this book is needed now more than ever. Purpose! What is your purpose? Read this book and discover it or accelerate achieving it.
- no replacement for the Bible
     By on 2003-03-09
Our pastor asked us to replace our normal devotional with a 40 day study through "The Purpose Driven (R) Life". I'm not sure why we feel it's an okay thing to replace God's Word with a man's book, but I'm reading it any way. It's okay - kind of "basic". Oriented to a very new Christian or someone of high school age. In the spirit of the Bereans, there some things I question. For example, on page 242, Mr. Warren says that "many studies have revealed that the average person posseses 500 to 700 different skills and abilities" - but doesn not reference even one study. How do we know this is true? He goes go on to say "your brain can store 100 trillion facts". I'd like to know who counted this up? It seems to me that this would very greatly. Someone with a disabilty such as Alzheimer's might not be able to store up even one fact. There are other things I question. For example, page 203, he says that "temptation starts when Satan suggests (with a thought)...". So Satan can put thoughts in our head? Where's that in the Bible? Perhaps it's true, but I can't think of any passage that says that. James 1:14 says that temptations comes from our own evil desires. One thing about studying the Bible, is their is never any question where the Biblical reference is - it's right there in front of you. But when we study a man's book instead of the Bible, then everything is open to question. I think it's interesting that part of your book's title is a registered trademark. I see there are many other Purpose Driven (R) products out there for us to buy. I must say it leaves me with a very uneasy feeling. The apostle Paul warns us about "Super Apostles" who would peddle the word of God for profit (2 Cor 2:17, & chapters 10-13). I'm not saying that's what this is about, but I'm wary... "Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and yoursoul will delight in the richest of fare. "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' declares the Lord. "...so it is with my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it". (see Isaiah 55)
- What happened to the five star reviews?
     By A3O7VZDO4NVMKI on 2004-03-22
It appears that since last Friday, MARCH 12 a dozen or so five star reviews have been deleted from this book website. As far as I know, only the publisher or an Amazon employee has the ability to delete a review. Obviously, Mr. Warren would not have 5 star reviews deleted. Heck he doesn't have the scandalous reviews deleted so why would he have a five star review deleted? Obviously he wouldn't.Which brings us to the question, why is Amazon having five star reviews deleted from one of the most popular and productive books available today? Doesn't make any sense. Another thing, The Purpose Driven lIfe is rated as the #2 best selling book in America today except at Amazon. Again, it appears as though something is seriously wrong with Amazon or the people that they let in control. Easy to see why Barron's wrote such a negative article on Amazon in their current issue, why more and more people are taking their business elsewhere and why AMZN stock is sinking like a rock in water. Amazon, I hope you get your act together before it is too late! The Purpose Driven LIfe is an OUTSTANDING book and a must read by anyone who wants more out of life. Er, more than just writing negative reviews and trying to become a "Top whatever" at Amazon. Perhaps Amazon should change that to "Top Loser" at Amazon (doesn't apply to all Amazon readers who have honestly earned a "top ranking at Amazon just one individual who is way off course) Amazon: Is it really worth it?
- Powerful and timely book
     By on 2004-04-11
With so much confusion and even hate in the world. With so few people knowing what to do or where to go and considering that I am writing this on the Eve of the Resurection of Jesus Christ, I cannot think of a better, more appropiate time than right now to read and apply the concepts in this book.
- The problem with people with no values is.......
     By AAVB3B44XC6RN on 2004-04-06
That they write reviews like the one that precedes this one. Exactly the kind of people that need this book, a Bible, regular church attendence and life outside the internet.Nowhere in Warren's book does he or does God via the scriptures advise to live a life that is closed to everything but the internet.
- What happened to the five star reviews here???
     By A2P8MFH6ZNZRSC on 2004-03-28
A large number of five star reviews have been deleted. Why? Does this book bother people that much? Does Amazon not care about making profits with the second best selling book in America right now? Does Amazon only want 1 star reviews to stand out? (Or five star reviews written by the 1 star reviewer)The Purpose Driven Life is an outstanding book. I highly recommend that you buy and read this book. Even if you buy it from Amazon who apparently knows nothing about integrity or fairness.
- What did happened to those 5 star reviews?
     By on 2004-04-12
Interesting at how only the 5 star reviews were deleted and still no explanation from Amazon as to why. Also interesting as to how the 1 star reviews were not only never deleted but continue in their pathetic crap. One piece of good news is that according to recent polls, not many people pay attention to Amazon book reviews anymore. But still we have to ask, Amazon: What Happened to those five star reviews and why were they deleted without purpose? Huh!
- Oversimplification to the extreme
     By A10T0OW97SFBB on 2005-07-07
When I saw how popular this book was, I expected that it would, like other popular books usually are, be a good book. I was wrong. I found this book horribly shallow, lacking in logical thought, and a gross oversimplification of the christian faith. Some of my objections to this book include:
1. The 40 steps or whatever he calls them. There are not 40 steps that you take and magically become a good Christian. If you want to be a Christian who follows God's will, it is a whole lot more than a 40 step program. It is a life commitment.
2. The focus of the book is on fulfilling YOUR life, while the goal of Christianity should be doing GOD's will.
3. There are NO Old Testament quotations.
4. There are many, many verses taken completely out of context and misused to support his points.
5. It is widely used by Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah's Witness, etc. If you write a book about Christianity, and other religions feel comfortable using it to support their theology, there is probably something wrong with your book.
It is a crying shame that this books is so popular. People fill their minds with this mush when they could be reading books with substance. If there were a 0 star option, this book would get it.
- Great Book
     By A15YYLXXZ8B0J4 on 2003-06-11
This book is very simple and to the point. You won't have trouble time-wise reading a chapter each day. I will use this as a guide to teach my children about how to live a Christian life.
- Superficial and Disasterously Written
     By A2S66FB2SQ7IX3 on 2003-10-21
This book is so ridden with cliches, arbitrary lists, generalizations and straw men, that I could hardly see through its good intentions and doctrinal truth. I have no argument with the theology of the book, but huge issues with the writing, structure, style, marketing and presentation. Statements like "The most shocking thing is that Almighty God wants to be your friend," just make me wince--over and over, the author says the obvious in terms of the outrageous. Another favorite device of the author: making a bold stand against a position no one is taking. "God doesn't want us to be robots," he courageously asserts, as if anyone was making the case that God DOES want us to be robots. This book is a perfect example of what I call "Power Point Christianity," in which difficult, complex, challenging issues of faith are watered down to bumper stickers, Sunday School-level questions, and platitudes like "The heart of the matter is a matter of the heart." That is simply thoughtless writing masquerading as profundity; no more insightful than "A stitch in time saves nine." Finally, the IDEA that anyone could discern God's purpose for their lives in 40 days of simplistic reading and facile questions is hard for me to believe. It's possible--miracles happen--but I am very very skeptical about the long-term efficacy of this program. Ten years from now, let's see how influential this book has been and how much people are directing their lives by it. I think this book will be viewed as just another fad, a momentary craze, and that the dust jacket endorsement of this book calling it the "My Utmost for His Highest" of the 21st century will look laughable. My advice on this book: save your money. I got more, spiritually speaking, out of "A Tale of Two Cities," and I am not joking.
- the reasons for this book
     By A3QGGPQK77IWD1 on 2004-11-08
This book and its success will tell you much about whats
wrong wrong with America and many Churches today. But it
will not help bring you closer to God.
America is full of churches that have no purpose and are
spritually dead. But these same churches are experiencing
huge growth and large numbers of new members. They are
held out as models and praised.
Why is this? Because many so-called evangelicals have become
more interested in getting people into the doors of Churches
than getting Christ into the hearts of people. And the leaders
of the Church are as often as not playing politician or
businessmen while the people of the Church are neglected.
That neglect leads to a need for a "simplier" and more
attractive christianity to appeal to the ignorant and worldly.
So in comes Rick Warren with his new commandments. The new
christianity is much more attractive because it turns the
Church into a sort of community "club" and entertainment
center. In the new purpose-driven christianity, "sin"
(an unpopular topic) is replaced by "loyalty" to worldly
institutions.
Rather than confess sins and bow before God, the new Christians
believe that they are above sin in many cases. Or (worse)
they see Grace as a license to sin without consequence. Sin
is a problem for the people they hate outside their Church,
not for them.
Rick Warren gives these new Christians five new commandments
(or purposes) all of which they can fufill while leading an
utterly sinful and amoral life. Its a christianity of works
over faith and of pride rather than confession of Sin. Its
a christianity where bodies stacked in Churches means more
than bringing people to God.
The true "purpose" in all of this is to turn our Churches away
from God so that they are like stadiums, entertainment complexes,
political halls, clubs and places where businessmen (like Warren)
can sell products.
- Ignoe those 1 star reviews
     By on 2004-04-25
All those 1 star reviews proove is that prisons and mental isntitutions allow liberal use of the internet for their inmates/patients.Do not believe that anyone of substance, anyone of high moral value or any good christian would write this garbage. The Purpose Driven Life is a five star book all the way and judging by how it is doing in book stores, it is still the #4 best selling book in American and the World. Great book. Highly recommended. Even good for the mentally deranged, criminals in prisons and satan worshipers...as long as they want to change.
- Why were the five star reviews deleted?

I have noticed too that many five star reviews were deleted from this board and please don't be fooled by five star reviews being written by one star reviewers. One definite sign is when the same person reposts the exact same post 4-5 times. Nice try, but it won't fly!So Amazon, answer the question, why are some 5 star reviews being deleted, especially when they approach 100, 200, 300 or more helpful votes and individuals pass a certain self publisher in the Amazon top 1000 or the Amazon top 500?? Why is that Amazon? I'm curious. We are all curious.
