definately got my money's worth

Note: this is a "kids review...sort of"
I bought this map on a whim after almost deciding on a model that would have cost ten times as much...with the same dimensions. I received the map, unrolled it and found very clear labels, bold colors, and an over-all pleasing appearance.
I only wish it were laminated
This map will definitely serve my purposes.

I ordered this for my office because I have the same map that I purchased as a set (US, World, some other smaller map) in my office at home. The map is great but the set that I have at home is laminated.
This is a great value for the price though.

I recently purchased a paper world map from amazon and it arrived in very poor condition. The map was in a solid, cardboard tube which was not dented or damaged at all, but the map itself was rolled and covered in plastic and was bent and crushed in at several different areas. Obviously, this map was put into the cardboard tube damaged and just sent on without regard to the customer receiving it. We decided just to keep it and smooth it out as well as possible, because it wasn;'t worth the hassle to return a $3.00 map.

This map is large, and nicely colored. It is paper and just what I wanted. It was a little difficult putting it up by myself since it was rolled up but that is to be expected.

Excellent map for having in language schools. I teach English in Mexico and it is always a great conversation starter. I use it for some of my English activities regarding geography and culture. Students love it as it is very colorful and easy to read. I highly recommend it for ESL teachers to put up on their classroom wall.

Very good, current world map for use in classroom work. Not really "wall sized", but good for group work in social studies, foreign language, current events, etc. Not printed on very substantial paper.

A great price for a great product. The map has different colors for the countries and many cities labeled. It gets a little crowded in Europe where there are alot of abbrevations, but I dont know if that could be avoided at any price unless you make it even bigger, and it is quite big. Not much of Anarctica is included, but what there is of Antarctica had to be made proportionally larger, like Greenland always is on maps, so again it might not have made much sense to include it.

This is a great map and not just because of its price. I was looking for a map that was updated, large, and colorful. And that's exactly what I got.
I actually like the fact that the map is not the paper typically used for posters (it feels more like printer paper) because there isn't a glare effect from light; useful because I'd rather not have to shift, twist, and turn just to read it. Also, the quality doesn't strike me as being any lower. You can always laminate it as well- we have a similar map that is laminated and (if you don't mind the glare) it looks very, very nice.
I have to reiterate how colorful this map is! A good buy for anyone, especially those who will use it fairly often and beyond "decoration."

This is a very nice map for the price. Good clear text and all the major cities. However, my only complaint is that it came flat in the mail. So there are creases every inch or so that I cannot get out. I suggest this should be shipped in a hard tube. Take your chances.

I ordered this world map and shipping was very quick and arrived (rolled) in perfect condition, there was just one problem... I received a US map in the mail instead of the world map I ordered. Obviously I e-mailed about the return policy, and I was prepared for the headache of having to return a $4 map.
Then next day I got an e-mail back apologizing for the mix-up. My money was refunded and I did not have to send back the US map. The only thing I had to do was order the world map again (and the price had gone down on it).
So not only did I get the product I wanted (this one also arrived quickly, but had gotten slightly crunched in the mail), I got a free US map also, due to their mix-up.
I was very satisfied with the policy of not making customers return items that would cost more to send back than they are worth, and the prompt reply I received to my e-mail.
I would recommend this seller, and the maps (while not laminated) are HUGE, colorful, very detailed, and look great on my wall!

We use this as a wall map for geography homework. It's terrific. It's got good color, and good detail. We put it up with 3M poster strips, which are removable from the wall. The poster hung up easily. It's been up for over a month with no problems. We have it at eye level where the kids pass it every day.

It took me a while to discover that my kids were not going to learn any geography in school. About the time my 10 year old asked me what the capital of London was, I started shopping for maps.
Because the world changes so rapidly now, I decided to order maps large enough for a 6 and 10 year old to look at and comprehend, but cheap enough to be replaced once the borders of various countries are re-done.
The positives - this map is correct, it's large (we tacked them up in the hallway to the kids' rooms) and it's very colorful, which is good for 6 year olds.
The negatives - it's not laminated, now if I was buying this for myself that would be fine, but the paper is also some strange form of paper that attracts and holds small sticky fingerprints. Being maps, little fingers are naturally attracted like magnets.
If you are making the purchase for an adult or a classroom, or if you intend to frame it, then I highly recommend this map. If you are buying for little ones, I'd spend the extra money to get a laminated version.
One last note - if you purchase from Amazon, they are not particularly well packed. They put them in a tube that is too large for the map so it bangs around and the ends get a bit bent up. Also they don't tape the ends of the tube so I had to have a second one sent after my first tube arrived empty and without ends on it.

It looks nice and I'd love to hang it on my wall but Amazon mailed it to the wrong address and now will not take action to get it to me. They should send me a new one.
