Our Favorite Bed Time Story! By on 1999-09-20
Every night my son and I read this book and watch Blue get ready for bed - brush her teeth, wash her face, and go to the bathroom too! Very helpful for establishing a good bedtime routine.
Bedtime favorite By A1S0WBC0CPNA9Y on 2001-06-12
This book is our daughters favorite our of all the Blue's books. It's the current bedtime book and she could easily spend the entire night reading it. It is fun for parents to read in bed with their kids and you will enjoy it too. Pages are bright and colorful and holds the childs attention. Parents add a few sound effects, dog barks etc, like on tv, and you will have a winner here. The whole Blue's videos and books are a must and in association with parental teaching your child will improve greatly. Where was Blue many years ago for our other children. One of the best learning shows around. Our daughter is two years old and now has a great imagination and play skills, which, thanks to Blue and Steve, is improving each and everyday of Blues Clues. Buy this book, plenty of fun adults and kids.
Great Bedtime book! By A3I39Q8544DZFW on 2002-07-06
My 18 mo old son had become a Blues Clues addict. He calls them "coo-clues." I bought this book for him along with a few others, and this has become the overwhelming favorite. He brings it to me all the time, requesting me to read it. In the book Blue goes through her bedtime routine and my son finds it easy to follow along pointing out to things along the way. He likes this book so much we usually end up reading it several times in a row!
just okay By on 2003-05-14
My daughter is a huge Blue's Clues fan so we had to get this book for her. I was also looking forward to the subject of bedtime since my little girl tends to have trouble winding down and getting ready for bed. So I thought maybe this would help a little. I thought the story was not really as good as some other Blue's Clues books we've read. And the main thing I didn't really like was that the pages just had too much text for us. My daughter is 20 months and actually has quite a long attention span for her age, but she just doesn't stay interested in this book long enough for me to read a whole page. If your child is a little older though, it should be okay. Overall I wouldn't say this is a bad little book...just okay!
Good bed-time book - but no clues By A8H8YCMCGTCD2 on 2001-02-15
This is a nice little book for walking your child through a bedtime routine. It doesn't require any familiarity with Blue's Clues for it to make sense and be a good bed-time read. However, if your child (like mine) is a Blue's Clues nut, and constantly scanning for clues, this book may cause some dissapointment at first. He got over it though, and now makes up his own clues as he goes through the book. Good stuff.
- His new snuggly?
     By AZ1EKMG5591XG on 2003-12-30
My 20 mo old son hasn't "bonded" to an object yet and this book may be it...he LOVES the pictures and makes sounds like Blue when he reads it. He's hard to get to concentrate on a book...we may get the whole series!
- Bedtime, Step-by-step!
     By A3P01JK5ZY6DID on 2006-03-01
This book is excellent for the 2-3 crowd, providing a step-by-step guide to going to bed. My kids love the Blue's Clues theme and pictures, and relate well to the book. We especially like that included Blue on the potty, it gives a definite step-by-step structure to the task of going to bed, and it did not include a bath (so many bedtime books include a bath, and my child's bath-time is in the mid-afternoon). However, it is a little wordy, and you are in the persona of Steve, which my children found a little off-putting; for Steve to talk, they want Steve's voice! We just disregard the words and make up our own. When my kids are closer to reading age, with long attention spans, we'll actually read the words.
- Daughter Loves it.....and Blue
     By A6FTKCUAUPCZD on 2006-02-21
This is the one book my daughter (19 mo) consistently grabs and carries around with her. She loves to have it read to her and loves turning the heavy duty pages. She sits for long periods of time looking and re-looking at the book. Could have done without seeing Blue on the toilet but hey, that's all part of bedtime.

I am sure that every preschool child would like to have this book.
- Sleepy Time With Blue.
     By A38N7SFDOB3MR3 on 2006-08-22
Good Night Blue is a great book to read prior to nap time or bed time. The book shows Blue going potty, brushing his teeth, and getting ready for bed. Children get a great story, and get to learn about all the things they need to do before going to bed.
The book is sturdy and well made, and is fun to read. My 2 daughters love this book.
- Blue goes to sleep...like all children do...

A nice bedtime story for your child. She asks for Blue all the time.
- Blue's a Hit
     By A2TQRHRP9KTWS9 on 2007-03-02
I know Blue's biggest fan. His name is Jaylon and he's 19 months old. Blue can do no wrong and this book does not disaapoint. Steve and Blue take you through Blue's bedtime ritual. The steps are simple, the pictures are colorful, it's small enough to carry around and the book is sturdy enough to withstand eight teeth.
- Super Cute
     By A1607L2BJIZYKQ on 2007-04-11
This book is cute and the perfect bedtime story for my 2 year old. There are several "bedtime" plots among the Blue's Clues set and they all do a good job of easing into slumber land by coming to a peaceful place at the end of the story.
- Really cute
     By AD88M6LAJSA68 on 2007-12-28
This book is really cute. If your kids like Blue, it is a great book. My son is 17 mos and likes to sit in his chair and look at the pictures.
It is a pretty good bedtime book, which is the reason I bought it. I got sick of "Goodnight Moon".
It starts out like the show does- shot of Steve's house, "Hey there..." Then it goes through Blue's whole bedtime routine. then it says "Good Night, its time to go to bed now..." It is cute and I recommend it.

ISBN 0689829507 - Steve Burns' fans will be thrilled to find him here; current fans of Blue, those who've only known the show with Donovan Patton, might not be so excited by that, but they'll still enjoy a sleep over at Blue's house! The illustrations by Jenine Pontillo are almost straight from the TV show, absolutely perfect.
Steve greets you when you arrive for your sleep over at Blue's house. After welcoming you, he and Blue take you step-by-step through the preparations for bed. From brushing your teeth to a bedtime song, you're in bed and ready for a story... until Steve remembers you've just had one!
The "story" is told by Steve, just as the show was. Rather than give orders (like Mom does!), Steve asks "What do we do next?", gently leading Blue and the reader. There is a lot of text (by Angela C. Santomero) - this isn't so much a book that you'd read at bedtime, when you've got your kid tucked in, but more something you'd read as you go through your bedtime routine. That might make it a tough book to enjoy for those who like to curl up and read but, then again, it just might make the entire "brush your teeth, go to bed" routine a little less a routine chore.
