Good read, but probably basic By A2VCKKQ1RGGL7S on 2005-08-16
I bought this book in hopes I would get some simple, straightforward advice about how to perform oral sex and touch my boyfriend in pleasing ways. I don't have a whole lot of experience in these areas, and when in doubt, I read. This book certainly gave me the information that I wanted. The instructions were well illustrated, simple to follow, and haven't failed me yet. It's also short and easy to read. At the same time, I give the book 3 stars because, like some of Sadie Allison's other books, the techniques covered in the book are a bit simplistic. If I'd really sat down and thought about it or simply practiced, I probably could have come up with most of the things in this book on my own. If you have a lot of experience, this book probably won't give you much useful information.
I thought it would be "BIGGER" but then size does not matter By AO5F3MTTFCQR8 on 2004-11-09
Okay, this book should have been published in Hardback considering the price I paid but other than that the book is a keeper and 'super fun'.
There is nothing new in this book that you can't get from a dozen other sex educators but what makes this book special is the presentation. I said earlier, 'super fun', and Sadie Allison surely delivers that in this book published by TickleKitty. Where else will you find a cover with an enthusiastic woman and a pickle. I loved some of the chapter titles: He's comming, Slippery Stuff. Anyway, the book is full of facts, techniques, and some common sense advice when it comes to pleasing your man!
The book is broken down into ten chapters, an appendix, and a bonus letter at the end of the book. In 152 pages Sadie Allison covers everything you can do for your man with great caricature illustrations. The greatest message of the book is do it with 'enthusiasm' and I whole heartedly AGREE! If nothing else you'll have fun flipping through the pages and you might even learn a little something fun to do tonight.

Male Review: Get This Book By A1LWKLMNBEYCI7 on 2006-02-24
Its always mausing to be in a supermarket check-out line or in a woman's bathroom and seeing Cosmo's (or whatever mag) How To Please Your Man, or 10 Things He Wants In Bed. The articles in themselves arent too bad, but are often a little innaccurate. I always thought it amusing that the articles were written by women...basically what women think men want.
Having met someone who read this book, I not only recommend this book, it should be required reading after Our Bodies, Ourselves, and Kama Sutra! Hands down it was by far the best pleasure I received! If it's something you want to learn to do or do better, I dont know if there is a better place to start than this book. I havent read it or seen it, I just know that it's instructions are extrememly uh, accurate?
More useful than I expected By A3C5ZZQ143WG6T on 2004-12-20
To be quite honest, I never imagined in a million years that a woman would need a book on how to please a penis. But the cute title of this tome and the reviews piqued my curiosity. Now, I don't claim to be a sex goddess, but when was the last time you met a nineteen-year-old penis that didn't literally jump out of the guy's shorts? Touching it causes it to quiver. But getting oral with it -- will literally send it to the moon!
Also, in talking with my girlfriends, I can't think of one instance where one of them has ever had a problem going down on a guy successfully. Looking back, I was nervous the first time I did it, as I'm sure most women are! But hey, have you ever met a guy who was shy about telling you exactly what he wanted? Not every guy is the same, I'm sure. But it doesn't take long to understand what get's him off! (Because he normally won't let you stop until he does!)
Granted, this book could be useful for girls who haven't done this before, or older women who are trying to rekindle their relationships. And if you're married to an older guy, it might take a little more coaxing to get the same response from him that was almost reflexive when he was younger. (Luckily, that's a bridge I haven't yet had to cross.)
This book, however, does give a lot of good background information, such as how to get yourself in the mood, and how to sharpen your "pleasure focus." There's a very thorough anatomy lesson, and tips on grooming and seduction. The author also devotes an entire chapter to using your hands - which did improve my own technique somewhat, but still not enough so that I could ever be successful with it. (Maybe penises aren't nearly as responsive as I had thought.)
The book also helps women to address the "gross" factor and overcome any misconceptions (or bad experiences) one may have had in the past. I guess I probably underestimated this as an issue, but the author talks about how the unpleasantness of a prior experience may prevent a woman from expressing her oral love for her man more completely.
Some of the last sections in the book deal with swallowing and deep throating. And the author encourages women to make the decision on their own as to how far they should go. (She breaks one of the topics into three sections: tasting, swallowing, and, of course, gagging. She also gives some suggestions how to accomplish the first - without necessarily having to experience the other two, which many women might find helpful.) She further explains how a man's flavor can vary - and how it can also be enhanced.
In regards to the latter point, she provides a recipe for a "smoothie sweetener" made with strawberries, blueberries, peaches, freshly squeezed orange juice, and bananas. (It sounds `yummy,' doesn't it?) And I don't know where my mind was at, but I thought the author was suggesting that a woman use this concoction - as a base -- to create a sort of mixed drink cocktail! It took me a few more moments to realize that she was intending for the MAN to drink this - BEFORE the love making session begins!
One of the last sections of the book - and the real reason I picked it up - was for the chapter on deep throating. I thought for sure that the author would advise me that my own problem with it was all mental, and that I just needed to relax in order to accept my lover more fully. But her instructions were actually much more practical - since she recommended a new position (lying on one's back with your head out over the edge of the bed) which positions your mouth and throat more in-line - sort of like a lady sword-swallower (but lying down instead of standing). At this higher level of achievement, gagging and controlling one's breathing both become more of an issue. But since I haven't tried to duplicate this - and I probably won't any time soon - I'll just have to take her word for it!
All in all, even though only 10% of this book was stuff I didn't know, I still got a lot out of it. Hopefully you will too!
good for the Newlyweds By A1ZF2MSBDUM5SF on 2005-10-31
as I am retired from the Mustang Ranch just outside of Vegas, I could teach a class. all old stuff here, but, then, you have to start somewhere! this is a great start.
if you are young, need some confidence, are just getting married, or really don't know what you are doing - then this book is perfect for you!
written with humor, and nice illustrations. your man can tell you what he would like to try. a good way to get this subject on the table, especially if you are shy.
most girls are taught to not talk about sex, and find it embarrassing to ask her man what it is he'd like done. so, this book is a great way to bring it up.
personally, I loath pickles, so the title is less than appetizing. but, I'll get over it.
buy a few for wedding or shower gifts. I did!
- Not what I had expected...
     By A2ZL5W6AP7DO7N on 2008-05-23
I ordered this book thinking it would help me with the tricky task of preserving a hoard of over-ripe vegetables, recently harvested from my garden.
I imagined reading about the merits of low-temperature pasteurisation, drooling over pictures of crab apple jelly and studying recipes for spiced red cabbage.
To my horror, this book contains none of these delights. It is, in fact, dedicated to the non-reproductive, carnal pleasuring of men.
Am I the only person who was fooled into purchasing this lewd handbook by the opaque title and the misleading cover - which clearly shows a pickle-waving housewife beaming with pride at her culinary success?
- awesome read!
     By A2PZWD2FGX8K7T on 2005-03-01
This book reads very easy, but deals with a lot of information. I literally couldn't put it down. I feel I'm pretty experienced, but I learned a lot of new things from this book and would definitely recommend it!
- Very clear
     By AAKZ0CD9EAAFW on 2005-05-24
I got this book to learn techniques on giving my man more pleasure. This book is clear and easy to read. (I read it within about an hour) I had him go through and highlight things that he would like me to try. Now, I can just go through and look to see what he wants. Great book.
- A Must Read!!!!!
     By AJPE5JVGJOUAP on 2004-08-13
I have always been a little shy when it comes to "going down." I had read a few of the authors other books, and recently came across this one. I thought the title was too cute to not read...bascially it made me curious. So I bought it, and I recently finished the book. I think it's one of her best because not only does it have great illustrations with every technique described, but the content was fun and lighthearted and made me laugh a few times. When I showed my boyfriend, he was so excitied about it that he wanted us to try a few of the techniques. We have been trying a few new ones nightly....and I'll tell you....they have really put that extra uummmppppphhh that we have been missing for awhile. This is a book that both you and your man will REALLY ENJOY! :)
- Fabulous Felatio!
     By A31YPO9299YQXL on 2006-07-11
I understand why Dr. Sadie Allison is America's Pleasure Coach. This book is hilarious! Great illustrations and tons of information. It answered all the questions I've been too shy to ask like "What if I gag, or What if it smells". I know I'm not the only one who was wondering. It also has some great technique filled chapters, particularly "Giving Great Hand", (my boyfriend loved the pleasure tunnel) "Giving Great Head" (check out the fruit juicer) and "His Back Door And More"(hello galactic finger play). Tickle His Pickle is 150 pages of penis pleasing! My boyfriend continues to thank me.
- Simple Pleasures!
     By AWDI7P0WCX2BQ on 2005-10-27
Thanks goodness for simple pleasures! I have to admitt that I'm not your most "expereced" girl.... Though some of the other reviews said the book was too basic, I have to adimately disagree! It had a ton of great information written specifically for someone like me! I learned a lot of techniques that I didn't know existed! My boyfriend loooovvveess what Sadie's done for my sex life!
- Ten Stars and more...I'm melting
     By AFYX5K5PTICGU on 2006-02-25
This book may be basic, but all techniques are accurate and DO TICKLE YOUR PICKLE. My wife and I are using the book to re-learn each method and refine new ones. You must get this book.
- Guys, this is a god send for us
     By A447AH9ECH6Y2 on 2004-12-01
I realize this book is aimed squarely at women, but guys listen up. This book is a god send for us. If you're like me, its kind of awkward saying, "Hey, could you please retract the teeth" in the heat of the moment ... or at any other time for that matter.
Better idea. Get Sadie's book and give it to your girl. Let Sadie do the talking for you. It'll save you an uncomfortable conversation and lots of even more uncomfortable encounters.
Afraid she'll be offended and think you're inferring that she's doing it wrong? So was I. My solution? I just said, "Hey love, I just stumbled on this really cute little book that I thought we'd enjoy. There's some fun new stuff in here we could try together." Which is true.
Because Sadie also gives a bunch of great tips on how guys can make it equally as pleasurable for their girl ... and of course the more she likes it, the more we'll get.
- Awesome Read!
     By A1QCVMXOBRB8IH on 2004-12-31
I thought I knew it all... until recently! My girlfriend bought "Tickle His Pickle" for me as one of my bachelorette gifts. In the book, the author definitely covers the art of pleasing your man's penis. I learned lots of new great techniques (and I already know a lot). And just the added touches of what you can do to make it even more exciting makes me enthused! Doesn't even matter if your experienced or not,
I think this is a great book to refer back to from time to time. The illustrations are great, fun and cute and she covers everything you need to know from shaving your man, to giving great handjobs and how to make it more exciting when he comes! Showed my fiance' and we were excited to try something new each love session, I even picked up her other 2 books (Tickle your Fancy and Toygasms!) and really looking forward to checking it out before my honeymoon!!!!
- WoW! Now this is a great manual.
     By A2S4NOSV9VH70J on 2005-01-31
This book seriously taught me how to please my man! We all know what are men like but once you read this book you'll learn what your man LOVES! Pick this book up as a reference book.. Once your man sees what you have learned he will be armed and ready to please you!!!!
- Wow! Does My Boyfriend Love Sadie Allison......
     By ATY0C3W7MRKPY on 2005-08-02
After hearing Sadie talk on a radio show, I went right to Amazon and bought her book! I thought I knew all there was to know but after reading her book I went to my boyfriend and showed him what I learned! Boy, was he impressed! Now he wants to name our first born Sadie!

- Fun! Fun! Fun!
     By AQF7XKOQECNG2 on 2007-03-25
I found this book to be really fun!
This book has fun and flirty illustrations throughout. I found it to be rich with quick tidbits that are called Sadie Sez they are neat to read. This book covers anything you need to know head to toe to please your man! It even has backdoor play and helps your relationship open new erotic doors. It will help with lube choices and fun cute names for different techniques she describes them in full detail and pictures! Tickle His Pickle by Sadie Allison is amazing and will even cover impotence in men and give us (the partner) "help" in deciding how to "help" him through it wink wink nudge nudge. As well as being a nice quick read it is a small book so you can fit in your carry on luggage or purse even a backpack. I would highly recommend this book to every type of couple or non couple. She has a few safe sex ideas thrown about in the book. (As her little friendly reminder). High quality material covered in this book. Tickle His Pickle written by Sadie Allison is not for someone without a funny bone (it will make you giggle at her creative take on the male anatomy)! I bought another copy to give away to my friend! Worth every penny I spent to buy this! Just a little recommendation check out her other books she is a spectacular author! Just type in her name and pow books written by her. Enjoy!
- Great for Beginners
     By A3U8N7HNF8Z9JR on 2007-04-18
This book was very helpful. When in doubt I turn to reading and I was completely clueless on how to please a man orally. I had no idea what to do before I read this book. I'm surprized my boyfriend put up with me feeble atempts, after learning how to perform correctly. I know he greatly appreciated this bit of literature, even though he laughed when I first recieved it in the mail.
I'd say it's an excellent book for beginners, and help me get the basics down real quick. Although if your looking for something more advance, I would probably try a different book.
- Great book!

Great book. Bought it for my wife at christmas. She loves it. We've been married 18 years and there are lots of ideas to keep a healthy and intimate relationship stay that way.

- Buy this as part of a set
     By AF2238QLAMC41 on 2008-04-22
This book is one of three I would recommend to learn all about oral sex. Taken from a couple's point of view, I would recommend this one for fellatio and The Master's Guide to Cunnilingus: How to Perform Successful Oral Sex and Provide the Highest Degree of Pleasure Possible for cunnilingus. To complete your library and for an interesting switch, try Was that an earthquake? The Sensuous Couple's (Flip Over) Guide to Seismic Oral Sex. This is a fantastic flip over guide for COUPLES that contains virtually any information you might want to know. Cunnilingus is covered on one side and fellatio on the other. These are three great books, fun to read and heavy on content. Try all three!
- Great!

- Good fun
     By A3SOUM5ZL6TLSC on 2007-12-12
Great book, lots of great ideas, even for a couple like us who have been married 9 years. The book is done tastefully, not soft pron like other books in this category. We really enjoyed reading it and trying out several different ideas.
- Quick and easy (read), tasteful illustrations for visual aids
     By ASNGEUJ0LCACM on 2008-01-18
The book is relatively quick and easy to read. The sketches/illustrations make it easy to visualize the techniques without showing distasteful photos. I have yet to try out the techniques on my boyfriend. However, some of them are basic, but there are several refreshing ideas that are worth a try or sound fun. I do recommend it to others, even if you are no longer a novice. Learning a new trick here and there helps keep things interesting.
- Best Vacation Ever
