    (4 reviews)
Best Price: $20.00
104 color photos and diagrams with full color on every page. Tee shirt quilts recall important events in a person's life. Combined with fabrics that celebrate a favorite activity or place, they become uniquely personal keepsakes. The book gives you information on how to: choose fabrics to show off your motifs to their best; cut the motifs from the tee shirts, with expert advise to prevent stretching; reinforce the motifs to make them strong; combine motifs of different sizes; camouflage little holes and stains. There are nineteen pages explaining how to use tee shirt logos in quilts plus step-by-step directions for the making of six different quilts, and details on finishing the quilts: quilting, tying, binding, and making quilt labels. The book gives you the same information that the author provides to her students, which is how to turn treasured tee shirts into very personal and beautiful quilts. A tee shirt quilt is like a scrapbook, but it's better because you can sleep under it!

Fabulous quilt book!!! By A1A8F7SKJP6LXU on 2007-08-20
This book is a great resource for t-shirt quilts. I love the graphics and all the pictures of different quilts to give me ideas. There are many suggestions and tips that help make it easier and help you to avoid common errors. I love the way you can see the authors personality come out in the book, because she has spent many years perfecting her craft. Thanks, Caryl for giving me the resource I needed to complete my t-shirt quilt projects for my kids. I have recommended it to many friends!

Good "how to" resource for saving those favorite tee shirts in a quilt that could last forever.
Wow! By A2RI4P4SBW6VXH on 2008-03-06
Excellent book ... I went through it, and made a great quilt with no problems along the way. It was nice to use all those old shirts, and the look is spectacular!
Lots of ideas for some different quilts are in the book too, for me to try later.
Wish I had this book sooner! By A1HPQO911M19U5 on 2008-11-11
I have four other books on making tee shirt quilts, but this one is the easiest to follow, especially for someone who hasn't done much in the way of making quilts.
I wish I had found this book sooner. I had already started to cut out t-shirt logos, but didn't feel comfortable to go on from there. I got this book and felt that the info and steps were written so I could easily go on with the project.
I hadn't been sure about choosing fabrics to go with the tees and make them all go together, since there were so many different colors in the shirts; the book covered that very well. I found the info about how to use the t-shirt logos in quilts very helpful, too.
I just finished my second tee shirt quilt now using this book. The instructions on finishing the quilts: quilting, binding, and even how to make quilt labels were simply explained. The best part is that I was able to follow the book and be successful.
My grand kids love having their favorite t-shirts in quilts. They love cuddling up under them and of course, they love to show everyone their special quilt and point out their most special tees. And I think the quilts will hold up well, because I prepared the tee logos to prevent stretching, and I reinforced them to make them strong.
