Let's Have a Tea Party By A5SLWA1ETVHG9 on 2000-07-05
My little one loves tea parties and with this book we have the best parties in the neighborhood. There are so many wonderful themes to choose from. There are wonderful "how tos" so you achieve that theme. Once you get started you'll start adding your own personal touches. Having a true tea party is a dieing thing and this book show little ones what a wonderful non electronic time you can have with a theme, some friends and a pot of tea. We practice our manners and have wonderful talks at our tea parties. Tea parties are a thing of grace, style, and charm. In todays world these things are lost. Children grow up to fast today this may not slow them down but it will give them a wonderful memorey of their childhood.
One of the best books I have in my possession! By AXIZ1VPVBQ9XY on 1998-01-24
This book is not only for young girls but older girls as well. I am a young grandmother and I love sharing this book with my granddaughter. Content is great and we have used the ideas in the book on several occasions. A "must have" book for grandmothers and granddaughters!
Lovely Ideas Book for Children's Parties!!!! By on 1998-01-10
This pretty hardback is full of wonderful little-girl ideas for teaparties, with a pink-gingham border to every page! Just some of the ideas are a "Little Women" tea party in which to dress up like Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy, a "Pony Club" party with appropriate ideas and menu, a Grandmother party, and more. A very nice book for a little girl you know. - Bethany Williams

This is an absolutely wonderful book! It has everything a child or adult would want to know about Tea Parties including child-friendly recipes and crafts. I liked it so much I kept it for myself and ordered two more for my grandaughters. Ok, so I never grew up. It's still a great book.
A bit old-fashioned if I may... By A38X9HQXXTUA3K on 2002-01-17
A nice looking little book but frankly, I should have looked at when it was first published...1997 you say ? So maybe is Emilie Barnes getting a bit 'off' the real world nowadays...It certainly is a dream book for grandmothers who wish to get invited by their grand-daughters for a tea party...surely did not ring a bell with my own (yet adorable but within her own style) daughter. For nostalgic people only.
- How meaningful to spend the afternoon having a tea party
     By on 1998-02-23
After reading this book, it is easy for me to see how important is to spend time with our daughters and granddaughters. We as adults need to spend time with our off spring and their friends to have a tea party. It will mean more to them than you can ever know. And in doing so we are teaching them to spend time with one another. No matter what the color of their skin. We are all friends.

I used to own a Tea Room and this was one of the books I sold in the gift shop. There are so many wonderful themes to choose from and "how tos" so you achieve that theme. Once you get started you'll start adding your own personal touches ... we couldn't keep this book on the shelves.
Having a Tea Party is a wonderful thing for little girls - we hosted many birthday and holiday parties for young girls in the 6-12 year old age range and this was a popular book!

This book has good ideas about different kinds of tea parties. But not many of them fit my daughters likes. We enjoyed it though.
