Best Price: $19.95 $11.34

Every 13,000 years on Earth a sacred and secret event takes place that changes everything. Mother Earth's Kundalini energy emerges from its resting place in the planet's core and moves like a snake across the surface of our world. Once at home in ancient Lemuria, it moved to Atlantis, then to the Himalayan mountains of India and Tibet, and with every relocation changed our idea of what spiritual means. And gender. And heart. This time, with much difficulty, the Serpent of Light has moved to the Andes Mountains of Chile and Peru.

Multi-dimensional, multi-disciplined, and multi-lived, for the first time in this book, Drunvalo begins to tell his stories of 35 years spent in service to Mother Earth. Follow him around the world as he follows the guidance of Ascended Masters, his two spheres of light, and his own inner growing knowledge. His story is a living string of ceremonies to help heal hearts, align energies, right ancient imbalances, and balance the living Earth's Unity Consciousness Grid-- in short to increase our awareness of the indivisibility of life in the universe. We are all--rocks and people and interdimensional beings--one!

"Life may seem to be business as usual, but it is not. We are changing fast . . . Remember this for life is going to present stranger things to you in your lifetime, and they all have meaning and purpose . . .Only Mother Earth and ancient Maya know what's going to happen." --from Serpent of Light

* Part travel adventure, part spiritual instruction--a firsthand account of a once in 13,000 years process. * Drunvalo Melchizedek has a story to tell--an adventure story, a story of healing ceremonies that take place from the Yucatan to Kauai and Moorea to the Grand Canyon and New Zealand and to Peru. * See what can happen when we choose to open our hearts and follow the path of light.

"In Serpent of Light, Drunvalo Melchizedek tells the story of indigenous people around the world creating ceremonies to relocate the kundalini serpent to the high Andes Mountains in Chile, an event that happens every 13,000 years. Spiritual ascension will only come to our planet if men and women are totally integrated and balanced, and during this next cycle, women will be the leaders. Drunvalo was chosen to share in critical ceremonies that were created to empower women because he is a man who dwells totally in his heart and truly respects women. As a female ceremonial teacher during these same years when Drunvalo was creating beautiful ceremonies within many of the same sacred sites with the people, I can say that Drunvalo speaks the truth. He offers as much closely held information as is allowed, so there is significant indigenous knowledge in this book. Drunvalo is a great storyteller! You are there with him while he follows synchronicities and communicates with the great guardians of the sacred sites. Serpent of Light is a masterful description of the great Earth activations that are occurring during the end of the Mayan Calendar." --Barbara Hand Clow, International Mayan Elder, a Cherokee Record Keeper, a ceremonial leader, and the author of The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind

  • A Real Life Spiritual Adventure Story

    By A19JWCGN5LNDLT on 2008-01-28
It is hard to do justice to this spiritual adventure story. Words seem totally inadequate.

That we have depleted and vandalized the Earth's resources in over a few decennia is a well known fact, as we grapple with issues like greenhouse gases and global warming. However, there are other facets of our lovely planet that we haven't yet been made aware of, at a global level. The 'Serpent of Light' is one such. Simply put, it is the Spirit of the Earth. Legend has it that it moves every 13,000 years from its resting place to another. The area that the Serpent rests in, gives birth to great schoars and thinkers because of the heightened energies. The movement of the Serpent, according to this book, appears to have taken place recently, (in accordance with the dawning of the Aquarian Age) as it moved from its latest home, high up in the Himalayas to its present resting place, somewhere between Peru and Chile. This shift in the Earth's energy was predicted by the Mayans about 13,000 years ago. Anchoring this energy properly in its present home has involved a concerted effort worldwide at different levels of consciousness. In this book, Drunvalo Melchizedek talks of the work in which he himself has played a major part.

For the first time in my reading, I find a spiritual action story. Coincidences take place so often that one is surprised that one can be surprised at all, that one has not got hardened to the rapid turn of events. Where, for instance, people whom you don't know at all, but are supposed to meet, turn up out of the blue, where you happen to be, to participate in a complex ceremony that required their presence. Where a group of people, drawn from all over the globe, come together to perform intricate rites, and the joy and exhilaration they generate together, as these ancient rituals are conducted, as the consciousness of native American tribes who have been wiped out, are resurrected from the Nether Worlds. The sense of an unceasing party, full of wonderful surprises comes through very vividly in this book.

Drunvalo mentions, also in some detail, his role in awakening and balancing the Goddess Consciousness in the late 1980's. In this, as in all his other ventures, he is mentored by Thoth and the angels. The book concludes with the story of his ongoing interaction with the Maori from New Zealand.

The author attributes his success in getting across to the ancient tribes of the world, to his own heart based perception, heightened after years of doing the Mer Ka Ba meditation. He mentions a time during one of the ceremonies which focused on healing the heart chakra, with a globally drawn group of participants, when one of them said that she sensed (at the end of the ceremony) that 'the Tower of Babel was shattered to splinters'.

This book has moved me as very few have. It contains many nuggets of badly needed esoteric wisdom within its 270 odd pages, pages that bear testimony to a way of life, devoted to living in the eternal Now with total trust of being provided for. It is not meant to be analyzed or understood, for it speaks directly to the part of us that knows all things and holds its wisdom in silence, the human heart. For those of us who are acquainted with Drunvalo, this book is some sort of an extension and elaboration of his earlier books, 'Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life' (Vol. I and II) and 'Living in the Heart'., and written in his characteristically humorous, self effacing style. All in all: Advanced Wisdom, very readable, and highly recommended for all, especially during these times of uncertainty, confusion aand doubt.

  • Not what I thought it was ...

    By A1OMK5UV2Q3PCX on 2008-02-07
Well, I've read the Flower of Life 1 and 2, and those books were great because they explain a lot of information in just two books. Actually those books were just a written version of Drunvalo's Workshops, so technically he didn't write those in specific. When I bought this book I was expecting to have more info about what's coming in 2012, but I found something totally different. They were the repetition of the same little adventure over and over. They would just go to a place in the middle of nowhere, pray, find some people in their way, throw a cristal somewhere around the sacred sites, and that's it!. The most amazing thing that happened was the appearance of a condor three times ....??? Indiana Jones is more fun than this. What I mean is that if we are looking to read about adventures, we could simply find that somewhere else. I totally believe in these sacred ceremonies, but in my opinion there's nothing to read/write over and over about them. They are very simple to tell, but to experience them!! is the real deal. I would like to see a less materialistic Drunvalo, because I'm starting to feel something weird about certain things. I see constantly the advertising of his former and future books. I don't know, it doesn't feel right. Maybe I'm wrong, but each would sense these things differently. To end this, I didn't like the book at all. I'll stick to the FOL 1 and 2 until I find something better.

  • Will magical thinking lead to happiness?

    By A3DIGM3KB4E11V on 2008-03-19
I was disturbed by many aspects of this book. For example, Melchizedek says on page one: "St Thomas in his Gospel of the Christ". But St Thomas the apostle never wrote a gospel. The so-called Gospel of Thomas was actually written by Gnostics about 200 years after the death of Christ. Gnostics were anti-woman (one of the lines in the Gospel of Thomas is "Women do not deserve to live") anti-flesh and anti-world. I am puzzled that the author esteems them.

He also claims the outer priesthood from Atlantis "went to the shores of what is now the Yucatan in Mexico and today are known as the Maya" (p 17). As any history books will tell you, the Mayan priesthood used to cut the still-beating hearts from their vast numbers of victims. They sliced people to death, stoned them, skinned and buried them alive. Children were frequent victims of these cheery rites. Then the Mayans would cook and eat the bodies. Archaeologists have found mounds of gnawed-upon bones. This is your enlightened people? Are you kidding?

In addition to not knowing anything about the history of the Gnostics and the Mayans, the author needs to look up the history of the Sufi Assassins. Also, Arica is not "an ancient form of knowledge, based upon something that was not understood at the time, sacred geometry" (p 23). It is just a later version of numerology. And, like astrology and reading the bumps on people's heads and studying the lines in their hands, there is not the smallest shred of evidence that any of these things reveal anything.

Some years ago, a psychologist gave every student in his classroom a detailed astrological chart based on their birth dates. Without exception, all the students claimed to be amazed at how accurate the charts were.

Then the psychologist pointed out they had all been given the same chart.

  • Interesting adventures, avant garde info

    By A2L4ZGN7GZJ95T on 2008-02-22
Drunvalo is great at telling stories of synchronistic adventures and avant-garde metaphysical info, including angelic guides and ETs who are shaping the destiny of our civilization. In this new book Drunvalo describes how he was guided to participate in ceremonies at sacred sites using sacred objects to assist in the transition of the Earth's kundalini energy line from Tibet across to South America, and the shift from masculine to feminine energy dominance foreseen accompanying the end of the Mayan Calendar in 2012. Drunvalo has some remarkable stories to tell and meets a variety of native elders and shamen as he completes his journey. I don't know how accurate the ideas he presents here about Earth kundalini and 2012 are, but it's an interesting read even just for the window into some native cultures. For example, whether or not you believe some ancient mesoamericans placed their consciousness into crystal skulls upon their death, you have to admit it's an intriguing concept. So I recommend that you enjoy this book but don't assume all Drunvalo says (or his guides say) is gospel truth or reliable facts.

  • Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!

    By A1MMABHEG7EK33 on 2008-04-25
Drunvalo Melchizedek is stupid and so are you if you spend money on his books. This guy has never bothered to check a fact or vet his "channeling". For instance in his flower of life books he talks about astronomy, but is clear that he doesn't know a quasar from a galaxy from a solar system. All of which could have been looked up for free on the internet. Wikipedia has very accessible articles where you can check all of his mistakes. This book (as are all his books) is for new agers who want to be told that they are perfect just the way that they are, that they will stay young forever, and that they can have all the money they want just as long as they buy the author's books, attend his workshops, say his affirmations and never question anything he has to say. I hate giving this guy even one star. Don't contribute to global deforestation of the earth by buying this guys books.

  • Fascinating
    By A1I4LFJZWQQHFZ on 2008-02-18
This book tells of teacher and spiritual guide Drunvalo Melchizedek's journeys to sacred sites in North and Mesoamerica. Guided by Mayan prophecy and contact with Mayan shamans, Drunvalo leads his groups from one sacred site to another, performing earth healing ceremonies as they go. Unusual experiences happen at each site, confirming that the purpose of the ceremonies has been fulfilled. Drunvalo's message is that energy moves through the earth similar to the Kundalini force, and that with healing and open heart exercisesLiving in the Heart: How to Enter into the Sacred Space Within the Heart, the earth can be healed and readied for the rebirth of a new spirituality in the area of Peru.

  • Boring, boring, boring ....
    By AQOJO8Z2ZSOJU on 2008-03-21
I was hoping for real insights into what's going on now and what's going to happen in the future. I expected spiritual knowledge. What I got was page after page (like a diary) of what he did when, where he planted crystals, how his girlfriend had an orgasm. .... on and on. It was not enlightening.

I don't doubt all of this happened, but it was never tied together in a meaningful way. The book has no spiritual value IMO, though some interesting observations.

  • The Serpent Of Light By Drunvallo Melchizedek
    By ANCH7TWO17H8Y on 2008-04-13
This is a fascinating story by a master story-teller. It can be enjoyed from many levels and it is a very important milestone in our understanding of what monumental changes are taking place on our planet at this time.
The eagle and the condor, symbolizing North and South America, are coming together in the historic gathering of elders of the indigenous tribes in the Yucatan area of Mexico. Drunvallo is invited to join them in assisting in the journey of the Unity Consciousness symbolized by the Serpent of Light. This Unity Consciousness has been in Tibet and is moving to The Andes in Chile. Every 13,000 years it moves location, as it did from Lemuria to Atlantis to Tibet and now to The Andes mountains. When it moves to a new location a new spiritual awareness enters consciousness from that location and a shift of power from the male to the female takes place. The female spiritual light will permeate human experience and will and will expand throughout human experience for the next period of 13,000 years.
We are taken on a fascinating journey through the Mayan Peninsula and Moorea and there we meet the enlightened elders of many indigenous cultures and are introduced to amazing ceremonies of Light and experiences beyond our usual experiences. Many interesting aspects of MAyan wisdom are esplored e.g. crystal skulls, kivas, orbs of light, sacred geometry, to mention just a few.
This is a book I will return to again and again and also as a reference book. I have bought a second copy for a friend because i dont want to lend it.

  • Great story
    By A4L46KV50AEAR on 2008-01-21
Drunvalo has a fascinating story to tell. It is pretty far out but it resonates with me.

  • More Than A Travelogue
    By A20WY6SFOT7K3R on 2008-02-09
Some of the material in this book has been covered in past books, on the website, or in books by others (Ken Page). I was disappointed at first because it seemed like a review. But after reading for awhile, the impact of the book hit mne full on. Some of the paragraphs were so powerful or so reverent, it took my breath away. I found I had to stop reading and close the book to allow the impact of what I had just recieved to sink in. Read this book. It's an experience!

  • Disappointed and Unenlightened...
    By A2L0N4039QLOWE on 2008-07-18
As a Truth Seeker, especially with Native American Wisdom, I was disappointed. I expected to be better convinced, but felt I was on more of a hippie tour of Sacred areas. I am convinced the author has found a way of financing expensive trips around the world... I guess I have joined the financiers. I expected much more, than just male to female conversion provided by dropping crystals down holes, while experiencing sexual erotics. I did not find anything, that I would seriously consider incorporating into my belief system. I continue to have a open mind, but not to the point of infection! My conclusion is, that this is another attempt to capitalize on the 2012 gravy train interest. I do think there is great truth in the author's claim of being an ardent hippie in the 60's. It appears the 60's were very good to him. However, I still refuse to use recreational drugs!!!

  • Earth's great shift
    By AP2ER1U29JHWO on 2008-07-07
Drunvalo's chronicled life as a volunteer in service to Mother Earth seems more like a fantasy or science fiction story, than real life...except for one's inner sense that these places exist, and the events really happened. Each adventure adds a unique piece to the story, while also teaching a different way to perceive the world...for those with ears to hear.

His best writing by far, destined to receive mention in National BEST BOOKS 2008 Awards, SERPENT OF LIGHT is as compelling a read as Jonette Crowley's THE EAGLE AND THE CONDOR is, and the events noted in each support the greater story of which both writers have played seminal parts.

Compelling writing; immensely significant information; plants seeds for the opening of the Heart Center; you may even receive a transmission or six.

  • Great storyteller...very poor historian!!!
    By AGTBNC4DT7AL6 on 2008-07-25
I'm only a little over half way through this book, and I've already run across some errors that set my teeth on edge. One glaring example is a comment on page 130 that the Anasazi were being threatened by the Spanish conquistadores, hastening their decision to abandon the Four Corners region. Then, on page 133, the author states that the Anasazi existed until about 1300 A.D. Hmmm. Unless the conquistadores landed a lot earlier than recorded history tells us (the first conquistadore, Cristobal Colon, wasn't born until the middle 15th century), we have a little timeline issue here. Maybe Drunvalo's angels know something we don't?

And what's the great mystery surrounding the placement of those all-important crystals? Why make a mortal man find the exact location that the crystals are to be placed, using only his heart? A man who might second-guess himself and make a terrible mistake, landing all of humanity in a real pickle? Is this a wise course of action? And why use the fate of humankind as a test to see whether a mortal man is psychic enough for the job? Seems a pretty inefficient way of getting us to the next level! Not that I would question the actions of the gods, I'm just sayin'...

Now on a nicer note, the author is really a wonderful storyteller. Yes, it does seem like there was a lot of trudging through the jungle, mile after mile. But the story flows nicely, and there is no doubt that he has spent a great deal of time in the presence of some wonderfully enlightened people. I get the feeling that there is a whole lot of reading-between-the-lines to be done here. A feeling that we are being given a key to a secret so astounding that when we do finally comprehend what Drunvalo barely understands himself, we will be blown away. Would I buy this book again? Absolutely. But please, Drunvalo, check your historical facts a little bit better on the next book, or at least let me be your editor!

  • The best Adressing the year 2012
    By AO9GK8KYTUGLX on 2008-02-22
Drunvalo's best book so far. He answered many questions I had for years.
It is easy reading and profound at the same time. I was on the trip to Yucatan with him and I enjoyed reading some pages I was not aware of, as so much work accomplished was below the surface. And I remember vividly that pouring rain we had at the end for several hours with thunder etc.
It is the first time I understand why 2012 is only a turning point, not at all the end. Maybe the end of the world as we know it, but especially the beginning of a brand new one. I cant wait to experience it!
Once you start, you wont be able to put it down.
I bought several copies to give away.

  • Serpent of Light, Beyond 2012
    By A2OB546RP35DBT on 2008-03-15
I have read a lot of "New Age" material. He hits on all of it in one way or another. But as most purveyors of New Age belief would say,"you must look inside to find the truth." One idea is promoted consistently. And to believe and act through one's heart IS what "all there is" is all about! On the back of the book it says that Drunvalo is a good story teller. He is that! And MY mind is open to all of the possibilities that what he is saying is valid. Thanks, Drunvalo! It is an easy read that presents a personal journey about what is happening for the future;a belief I share!

I have read Drunvalo's Flower of Life books and I new I had to get this one. This is a helpful book to those who may have questions about Earth's
rapidly changing energies and ascension. I am looking forward to 2012 and beyond (it will only get better!) Thank you Drunvalo for helping all of us Lightworkers do what we need to do.

  • Clear Information on 2012
    By A5OU0WAKF76DY on 2008-02-08
This book was the best I have read on what we can expect for 2012. This is the first book in which Drunvalo takes you into his personal life and shares his experiences. It was entertaining and informative and read like a fast action thriller. I couldn't put it down. Enjoy!!

  • What an amazing journey.
    By A2HF53ERAN7VRP on 2008-03-04
I could not put this book down. The synchronicity that happens in Drunvalo's life is incredibly amazing. This book is more of a diary then a teaching book, although I learned so much from it. Don't get this book if you think you are going to get information on what's going to happen on the big day. It's more about what needs to be in balance and healed in order for the shift to occur. Thanks Drunvalo for you tireless work.

  • Life changing

This book changed my life, opened my heart and brought me back to the real definition of reality. This book is magical and reading it changes you. Thank you Drunvalo for writing it. You've brought me back home to our Mother.

  • Serpent of Light- Beyond 2012
    By A1SFVA79JH58VU on 2008-03-23
This book is a reflection of the recent progression of Drunvalo's life intertwined with the spiritual missions he has orchestrated on behalf of spirit and humanity. It is a good read, and it actually had a flavor of a real life "Celestine Prophecy" to me. While I would question whether a more traditional Christian would find value in this book due to what I view as a more eastern spiritual foundation, Drunvalo's care for the earth and commitment to fulfilling his life destiny for the good of humanity and spirit is inspiring.

  • There is hope after 2012
    By A1530KFMP25TO2 on 2008-04-05
Serpent of Light by Drunvalo takes us to ancient sacred areas to help Mother Earth with her healing - and gives us hope for humanity after the end of the Mayan Calandar in 2012. With all the war, destruction, hate, greed and lower human energy - it is nice to know there are elevated beings working to save us from ourselves and helping us all to evolve into the spiritual beings we are capable of becoming. The book gets into so much more than I can explain - but this is a book everyone should read. It might be a little odd for people who have not experience sacred ceremonies, sacred geometry or the power of crystals - but it is time everyone understands how important it is for us to evolve.

  • Acknowledgment of the Native Americans
    By A3496WNUSJBCV6 on 2008-04-11
This latest book from Drunvalo gave you a detailed account of the part of his extra-ordinary experience related to his native American root. It helped me understand the critical role played by the 'red race' in our planetary ascension. A really nice works. I felt like reading The Celestine Prophecy, a book I couldn't put down once started, except this book recorded historical happenings.

I wish he could provide more insights of what's beyond 2012 as the title suggested. However, maybe that is all we need to know for the time being.

    with love and light,

  • Drunvalo's Saga of Mother Earth
    By A2FD6V5H9CESLP on 2008-02-13
I have read all four of Drunvalo Melchiezedek's books and this one is a terrific summary of what he has been doing for Mother Earth and all of us. This book is for those of us who are awakening and those who are already awake. Others will view this as pure fiction . . . which it is not.

  • Serpent of Light - deeply inspiring! a must have!

I hope he keeps releasing more books before 2012-13! Don't waste time get this & read asap!

  • a tribute to nature and ancient people
    By A3BYQ0R2G0R6WJ on 2008-03-08
It taught me how important the ancient people and their traditions are still important today. It's more than knowing about 2012. It's also about being part of mother earth.

  • Mind Bending
    By AX5FGHMCVU1X7 on 2008-03-12
Very enjoyable read. It doesn't quench my thirst on alternative points of view, though. I plan on looking at other books by Drunvalo. This was my first. Great book to have if you're researching for your own assessment on what the future holds. Just a great mind expanding read. Other great reads are "The Convoluted Universe - Book One, Two, & Three" by Dolores Cannon.

  • Outrageous
    By A2IPKKQQYDJY6H on 2008-12-03
If you are searching for in-depth information regarding Maya predictions, this is not your book. If you want to learn about the earth's Kundalini, this is not your book. If you want to know what will happen beyond 2012, this is not your book. But if you want a book about the 'psychic' trips of an egocentric, self-proclaimed guru, then buy the book. But let me add just as a warning: this book is a 'Castaneda Gone Bad' type of book. Ancient spirits not only communicate telepathically with Mr. Melchizedek but they even leave written 'thank you' notes! I didn't have the stomach to finish the whole thing. I'm sorry I wasted my precious time in such an irrelevant book.

  • Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012

Serpent of Light is the first of Druvalo Melchizedek's books that I have read. His spiritual experiences at the sacred sites listed in his travels, will assist many others on their search for understanding. His experience of connecting to Mother Earth and female energy parallels the path of many seekers. Ancient teachings will become known and understood by sharing them. This book has great value and is for us Now!
