Nikon D80 inBrief Camera Reference Cardx$11.99
    (14 reviews)
Best Price: $11.99
Digital SLR cameras come with many controls and settings that allow you to capture the perfect exposure. Remembering where they are and exactly how they work together is a difficult, if not impossible task. You can carry the user manual in your bag, but in most cases, it s over one hundred pages long. Finding the answer to your question can be a frustrating experience. The inBrief camera reference card is a laminated, foldable guide that answers most camera operation questions quickly and easily. The information is arranged logically so you can find the answer to you question in the shortest time possible. Each inBrief card shows an annotated line drawing of the camera and an index to the information on the other panels. If you have a question about white balance, simply look at the purple panel. Answers to custom settings are always on the green panel. The inBrief card has laminated hinges so the card lies flat. When folded, the dimensions are 5.5 inches by 4.25 inches. It fits neatly in the outside pocket of your camera bag for instant access. Each card is subdivided into twelve color-coded panels. An overview of the information on each panel is listed below. Teal: Annotated line drawing and general index Blue: Viewfinder, Control panel, and Monitor displays Red: Camera functions by exposure mode and flash information Lime: Focus, Drive Modes, and Self-Timer Yellow: Exposure, Metering, Bracketing Purple: White Balance, ISO, Image Size / Quality Orange: Displaying Images, Resetting the camera Green: Custom Settings and Functions Each card is professionally printed on 10 point card stock and laminated on each side for long wear and protection from the elements. Once you have an inBrief, you can leave your manual at home.

If you own a Nikon D80 you NEED this reference card By AWEYWJSMMOZ3F on 2007-05-17
I had just purchased my Nikon D80 (superb camera) and realised that it was far more powerful and feature rich than I ever imagined. I am a competent photographer, but even so I felt a little out of my depth using this camera for the first few times.
So I started to look for help and found this invaluable little reference card on Amazon. I have to say that this is the best $10.00 I have ever spent.
It is durable, folds neatly into my camera bag and best of all provides me with clear concise information about all of my camera's multitude of functions.
If you own a D80 - buy this card!
If you need this card, read the manual By AY05E7CC7EMDS on 2007-05-24
I find that the items that InBrief covers are the superficial items that are easy to learn and remember. Where I would need help is in using the advanced modes, where I still get pics that are worse than my PhD (Push here Dummy) pics. Therefore, I do not find the "In Brief" manual helpful.
Don't leave home without it By AY6A9HU0ZDHEG on 2007-05-13
I never leave home without it.Being fairly new at photography, I don't have to drag out the manual every time I don't know how to do something. I get what I need 90% of the time with this handy little reference card.

cleverly concise By A2J8GWGVVWVXCH on 2007-05-15
Really neat item for your gadget bag. Summarizes a ton of data clearly. The diagrams are very clear too. I'm going to search for one for my wife's camera.
- A Good Resource
     By A17GCATT80507I on 2008-01-20
This covers the "more than the basics" of the camera and keeps the information at your fingertips.
Best of all, I highly recommend this tool to anybody who doesn't use the camera on a regular basis. If you are like most who pick up the camera every now and again for those family gathers or the occasional trip this helps put you back on track. If you use the camera frequently enough to know the ins and outs then perhaps you will know most of what is covered.
I find it useful and much easier than the manual. It is also easier to replace eventually instead of wearing thin the manual from flipping through it.
- Waste of money and time.

Just waste of money. It does not ever deserve 1 star. Too bad that Amazon does not have an option without any stars at all.
- Wonderful Information

Love this in Brief Camera Reference Card. Smaller than the book that came with the camera, takes up less room in my camera case. Has the information I need to refresh my memory on differed things to do. Highly Recommended... Blue Crane inBrief Quick Field Reference Cards for the Nikon D80 Digital Camera.

I am a happy new owner of a Nikon D80. Having come from the film world this wonderful camera can seem intimidating. The manual provided with the camera is sometimes difficult to navigate. Presto! There is this beautifully laid out quick reference card. Its a gem. It is color coded and clearly organized. Quick and relevant core information is right there. It even helps folks like me go back to the Nikon manual. I recommend this card without any reservations at all. Get one!

- Not Worth It
     By AUEZRZ7SE76V8 on 2008-02-17
Not helpful at all. Overpriced. The manual and/or a field guide are much more informative. I never use this.
