Best price around By A3S87ZOPB3UM9N on 2001-06-12
I had to buy a printer cable for my Epson 890. When I priced around, this could not be beat. WILL NOT WORK WITH PARALLEL PORT ONLY COMPUTERS For the person that had a previous review, this is a cable that will only work on a printer that has a USB outlet. This is not for printers that are strictly parallel port hook ups. ENDS FOR PRINTER AND COMPUTER DIFFERENT The USB end that is for the printer if you look in the photo, is the small end to the left. It is only about 3/16" wide and shorter than that. The USB end for the computer is the big end to the right in the picture(about 3/8" wide and shorter than that). MANY USB PRINTERS HAVE BOTH USB AND PARALLEL PORT CONNECTIONS Many USB printers have both a parallel port cable connection as well. That is one of those huge flat type ones (roughly 2" wide). This may sound simple for all you computer experts out there, but with the plentitude of this type of cable or that, it can get very confusing. Great buy.
An Even Better Value Now... By AVQGH3S01ZDI0 on 2003-02-25
Psst... A little secret - part # F3U133-06 is now a Belkin Hi-Speed USB (USB 2.0) cable and is backwards compatible with USB 1.x devices. This makes the price that Amazon.com offers even more amazing (thanks Amazon)! Purchase this for most USB devices (1.x or 2.0) and if you ever upgrade to a 2.0 device later you won't have to buy an additional cable. You also get the exceptional quality of a Belkin product, so you know it will work the first time.
Ok it's a cable!! :o) By A2H1C7VP0BWVSE on 2002-04-10
I do not really know what to say about this item except that it is a cable. Yep it is!!! :o)However, when I bought my printer, I didn't know the USB cable didn't come with it (Mister salesperson at Sears didn't feel obligated to tell me I guess!!), so I had to find one. After looking around I found out that Belkin was the most famous and reliable brand for computer cables, and others... Brand doesn't make a big difference for me usually, but as far as electronics are concerned I want to be able to get the best, so I went for Belkin... The Belkin website didn't really offer the best price (I wouldn't have thought so!!). However, Amazon did!! I've had the cable for about 2 months... I actually forgot about it because I never had any problems with it. The connection between the printer and my computer was done right away, without ANY problems. I would definitely go for Belkin again if I needed to.
Belkin F3U133-06 USB Device Cable By on 2003-01-27
ok i bought this cable a month before i bought my new Canon S820 printer. I just got the printer today but need to let it sit for a day before opening it because the 7 degree temp. when ever you buy computer & componets they should be at room temputure before using. Now belkin is a well respected name in computer cables so just price counted. One important fact others failed to point out is that this cable is UBS 2.0 - 1.0 ready. Make sure anything USB you buy from cable to hubs are usb 2.0 because all new computers are usb 2.0. A USB 2.0 cable & hub can be used on USB 1.0-1.1 but not vice versia. YOu can't use a USB 1.0 cable to hook up to a USB 2.0 device. The speed is much different.
SUPER PRICE! Get it while it's in stock! By A5N4NHMYGF41T on 2001-11-07
Best Buy wants (dollar amount) plus tax for this exact cable. The ONLY difference in the Belkin USB cable at the Best Buy store is the "24K gold-plated connectors and contacts for optimum conductivity" which I assure you will NOT be measurable or noticeable with a six foot USB cable anyway. They have consumers at their mercy and know that people buying a printer or other USB device need that cable today and don't want to wait to order it by mail. That said, thank God for Amazon.com and Amazon's customer reviews!! I have saved a bundle and avoided a LOT of frustration due to reader's valuable comments on products rather than relying on the more biased commercial reviews.
- This is a USB 1.0 AND 2.0 cable.
     By on 2004-04-23
The product description doesn't state this, but this is a USB 2.0 cable meaning you get access to all the extra speed USB 2.0 offers. It's also backward compatible with USB 1.0. The cable is dark grey (it matches the 2004 model Dells nicely), very sturdy, and has a great solid connection when plugged in. The price is low, the quality is not. This is an excellent value.
- Don't get ripped-off by computer stores!!!!
     By A5I75Q8VR91XE on 2001-12-28
I purchase a new ink-jet printer from a very well known computer store ... I wonder who that might be... hehe! But getting back to the review ... As most of you know, a lot of USB devices don't come with a USB cable. The same thing applied when I purchased my new printer. The clerk who sold me the printer suggested I purchase a USB cable along with my printer ... the asking price: $29.95 for a 8 foot long cable. I told him "NO". Then purchased this cable on Amazon for $10.95 which included shipping. The only thing that got to me about this deal was that the shipping cost more than I paid for the USB cable. Oh well! I bought some sushi with the 19 bucks that I saved!
- Best Cable for UBS
     By A3QBNN3TILABDD on 2000-06-22
I had tried a cheaper cable for my UBS connection but it didn't work for me so I thought I'd give this one a try. I found this brand to work especially well for me. I bought a new printer to use exclusively for photos and I still wanted to use my other printer for everything else. I needed a UBS cable and this one worked perfectly. I would recommend it for anyone needing a UBS connection.
- great bargain
     By A1TX3VNWII1TOJ on 2003-12-05
Okay, since most of the printers don't come with cables any longer, you always need to purchase one separately. A "regular" printer cable can cost around $20 and it can be difficult to plug and unplug correctly without breaking one or more of those tiny prongs. So a USB cable is a great solution. It costs less and it's easy to plug and unplug, especially if your computer has front-mounted USB ports. I bought this one for my new HP LaserJet 1012 Printer and it works just fine. For this price, it's a great bargain.
- Exceptional Quality at Low Price.
     By A2DF62DP20RIXF on 2004-12-15
This is a good USB cable. It is compatible with both USB 1.0 and 2.0 ports. It is long enough to give great flexibility with arraging whatever it needs to be connected to. The price is extremely good (even though amazon.com changes it every now and then) for this cable. It is way more expensive in stores. And getting a Belkin product for such a low price is excellent. This is totally worth the money, and is a great buy if you need a USB cable.
- Hot Deal on a USB 2.0 device cable
     By A2G1X23J9AATJ on 2003-11-13
This is an exceptional buy for under seven dollars! (this currently retails between $20 - $25 at local electronic stores) Although you can buy generic for a few dollars cheaper, you are guaranteed quality and a lifetime warranty through Belkin. Now to the product - This is a 6' USB 2.0 (A plug/B plug) device cable. It is both Windows and Macintosh compatible. I found 6' to be an adequate length for the reach from the device(e.g. printer, scanner, etc) to the back of the computer/hub. They do have longer cables available though. Note that your device must have USB support(as most now do). However, the device doesn't have to be USB2.0 as the cable is backward compatible.
- The Best
     By A398S4SL2Z6U6S on 2004-01-24
This is my second Belkin cable. The first one I purchased it from Best Buy for 4 times the amount that I paid at Amazon. I bought the Belkin F3U133-06 because it's the best cable avilable in the market.
- ... your basic cable.
     By A1G9ENUS1ABJG7 on 2004-09-22
It's cheap, it works. What more could you want from a cable?
- if you can use a usb cable for your printer this is the one
     By AQMD0WGJVD4RJ on 2004-01-22
I have been using this cable with my Samsung Laster printer for over 2 years now and couldn't be happier with the no problem performance. Its long enough to be used as a printer cable (which is important) and it works. What more can you ask for from a usb cable? Much nicer setup than the bulky parallel port setup.
- Just the right length
     By A3OA3Q4J3K9SNQ on 2001-07-24
You can't go wrong with this USB cable at this price - it's over $10 at my local electronics store. Just remember, as with all wires and cables, this one is a potential choking hazard and should be kept out of reach of small children.
- good price, it works too
     By A8BUYABEEHJUD on 2001-12-03
I got this cable for my USB printer and it works perfectly, has a nice color, and is nicely priced. The package was nicely designed, too, as it was simple to open.
- Great Price - Don't Buy More Length Than U Need
     By ARS8ME1RBBOYT on 2002-10-11
Good cable. .... No need for premium cables. Most printers recommend 6' length. Over ten feet may cause some problems.
- well.... its a cable
     By A3ETC6UFA3HWFW on 2003-11-28
perfect printer cable i have an HP Deskjet 3550 color printer and this cable has just been perfect...excellent price and serves the same purpose as other more expensive cables and for a college student the price is...need I say anything ;-)
- Unbelievable Savings
     By on 2003-06-26
I typically find that you get what you pay for... with this item... it is well below the retail price (about 75 to 80 percent less) of the EXACT SAME item in local stores! Not sure how Amazon can sell these NEW, for this price... I bought three of them!
- Great Stuff. Good Quality. Cheap Price.
     By A1BAT4NZAP6B07 on 2001-10-09
Its always good to have extra USB cables floating around. 2 for home 2 for work and 2 for the laptop/spare.
- Works as advertised... however 6 feet does not go far
     By A19ILU71453CX4 on 2003-02-13
This cable works great. The only suggestion I have is to probably go a little longer (10 feet +)
- Service from Raintree and Belkin product
     By A261CVJUKH5UOD on 2003-02-14
quick timely service and the cord works great. no Problems
- Nice Cable Dude!
     By AWNV9URWEJXVY on 2003-08-03
This cable rules. I plugged one end into my PC and the other end into my printer and VIOLA! I was able to print stuff!!!
- Excellent!
     By on 2003-08-27
I recently went to circuit city to buy a printer (good deal after rebates), and you can imagine my surprise when I found out the USB cable was more expensive than the printer!!! Thank goodness I decided to look on amazon.com before I bought it. I saved so much money for the EXACT same product! Thanks amazon.com!!!

- Great Cable, Belkin Strikes Again
     By A3PLX6PTM2ERKL on 2001-06-17
I've always seen high-quality products from Belkin, and this one is no exception. It is a high-quality USB cable at a great price, by a leading computer accessory company. An extra bonus is the lifetime warranty!
- Good cable
     By on 2002-03-04
This cable does what it's supposed to do, so I have no complaints. It's a good value for anyone looking for a basic USB cable.
- shoelace
     By on 2003-07-29
One time, My shoelace broke and I used this cable to fix it. It worked ok but its kind of hard to tie.
- Second to none
     By A398S4SL2Z6U6S on 2004-01-09
The best USB cable available in the market.
- works well, but??
     By A2YNQWNJ4CLNX6 on 2001-05-26
I purchased this cable since the printers now require one, and do not come with them. It connected to the printer as well as the computer with no problem, and works well. My only problem was not knowing that in order to use the scanner with the printer, this cable will not work. I needed a usb (square) on the printer end, and a parallel port on the other end. This is not a problem with the cable, just probably lack of knowledge on my end??
