  I have 3 sons so we have over a thousand hotwheel & match box cars, so I have bought every car case there is and this one is the Best!! It's very durable my kids stand on it, throw it and open & close it a zillion of time (we've had one of the case now for 3 yrs) and still in one piece and still closes tight. Compare to other car case I have bought that have fallen apart within days of abuse from my 3 boys. I like this case so much I bought 3 more and won't buy any other. It keeps the cars orgainized and off the floor.

  The Hot Wheels carrying case makes putting toys away more appealing. Kids may find themselves sorting their collection by type of vehicle, color, or favorite status as they place them in the case. Seperate compartments within the case keep cars from scratching one another, and each vehicle is visible once arranged inside. Plus the case has a handle so the collection can be carried to a friend's house or on a trip. All of this teaches the rewards that come with keeping one's collection neat.

  I thought this case would be a great storage solution for the many cars that are crammed into a clear storage box with no organization. My son loves pulling his "suitcase" around the house, but seldom does it contain cars. One simple reason: it doesn't work. The partion that should hold the cars in place is a flimsy piece of cardboard that can be removed and almost always falls out on its own. Without the partition in place the cars don't stay in the molded compartments. We still use the clear container for car storage.

  I thought my three-year-old car enthusiast would love this. He hates it! He pulled the cars out faster than I could put them in. I finally figured out that he like to view his "collection" and bought a clear-viewed sorter for him.

  This is not a good way to store Hot Wheels. A lot don't fit in the slots, and the ones that do fall out when you open it. Bummer.
  
  
• Hot Wheel Car Case

  This is a great car case. I gave it a 5 STAR in the educational value because it helps teach my 5 1/2 year old to become more organized...it's not hard for him to lift and even though it holds 48 it could hold more if you put 2 thin cars together in 1 slot. We are looking into a bigger case though, but I do give kudos to this design
  
  
• Functional not fun

  While this toy is not designed to be fun it is extremely functional. My 2 1/2 year old can open and close it on his own. He loves to load his cars into it and carry it around the house. It's also a great place to put the cars when trying to get them up off the floor. It doesn't take up much space so it's easy to take with us on a trip.

  My four year old received this as a gift over a year ago and it still looks brand new. It has been dropped and stepped on and still has not broke. He loves to sort his cars by color, type, size or whatever category he happens to invent. This is our standard birthday gift and all of the little boys that have received it, love it. What parent wouldn't be thrilled to finally contain the dozens of little cars that are all over the house?
  
  
• more than just a carrying case......

  My son loves to put his Hot Wheels into the slots and then dump them all out.

  Also, it's fun to prop up one side of the case and have cars drive down - especially thru an empty paper towel roll.

  It's been in our home since December and is still in one piece, which is more than I can say for some other toys we've gotten for him.

  We've got friends with a child a month older than mine and he's got about five or six of these, filled with cars and trucks and they're all in great shape.
  
  

• A lasting toy...

  I got my son his first case at age 2 and it survived the terrible 2s. Now at almost age 9 with 2, still, intact cases and a history of 2 other brands (no longer with us)... will purchase more of the Hot Wheel case to replace the overflowing shoe boxes he is now using to store his cars.

  My son loves this case, it is opened and shut a number of times every day. Kids can be hard on toys, and this has held up well! I actually need another one. He likes storing all of his cars and thinks its fun to drag it all over the house!
  Great product, my only recommendation would be to make some slots bigger than others so that we can fit the Fire Trucks in there too!

  Made very well and a terrific price! This case holds all kinds of cars not just hot wheels and also all kinds of vehicles (Helicopters, towtrucks etc.) Very happy with this purchase and so is my son!

• You get what you pay for

  [The cost of this ]should tell you about it's durability. My son loved this case and pulled it around everywhere including up and down stairs and everywhere a 3 year old boy thought it should go. Needless to say it didn't last long.

  The partition came loose. The plastic hinges cracked one by one until it wouldn't hold together any more. This all happened in less than a year.

  Also, for a kid who loves fire trucks, construction vehicles and monster trucks there just aren't enough large slots to fit the vehicles.

  I have found other car Carry cases made by the same company are better, they can hold larger vehicles, such as Semi's and limousines. This case can not hold such large vehicles, its good for most other cars. Its ideal for larger cars like vans and truck but its not that suitable for cars, it has too much room. They can becomed scratched and what not.
  
  
• A great carrying case for little boys with big car collections!

  I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old boy and we used to have cars lying all over the house. It was difficult to store them anywhere. Also, the strange thing was that many of them seemed to dissapear into another dimension. This case was therefore a great addition to our household. It can be pushed around like a backpack on wheels which is great for playing in different parts of the house - my boys no longer need to carry armfulls of cars around, dropping them all over. Ever stand on an upside down car in the middle of the night? Ouch! There is also space in the case for bigger cars. The only thing I don't like about this is that it is difficult for little hands to open.

  I bought the case as a gift for my 4 year old son. It's great for organizing and transporting. The only problem we had was with the hinges. My son played with the case so much that from the opening and closing all the hinges cracked and now the case is in two pieces.

  this is a great and compact way to store all of the hot wheels and matchbox cars the compartments are large enough to fit 2 of most of the styles of cars, this is a great product at a great price. my son lugs it around with him all of the time. he is 2 years old.

  This case is great for storing ALL the little cars - matchbox or other. My son loves to carry it around, however the latch does not always "latch" for a three year old and the cars come tumbling out.

  This is a "MUST HAVE" item...Mom's...if you are tired of taking your own tiny trips after stepping on a stray hot wheel car, then this is a case you have to buy. It IS durable, my 3 year old is more than happy to load it up with cars and tote it wherever we go. It makes cleaning up, and storage much easier.
  
  
• Not happy with your available info on site and packaging

  My son loves his new track, but I am having a real hard time finding out which cars can go on this specific track and if it can be amplified with other tracks. Info on all tracks is very unclear for a person who is not too familiar with Hotwheels. It took me ages to find out which tracks were electrical, motorized or just tracks. There is hardly any info on the site of Hotwheels and believe me, we have spent hours there browsing. I finally ended up buying Serpent Cyclone because it was the one that appealed most to my 5 year old because of the photos, but it was just a wild guess it would be okay for him. It says some hotwheels cars can't go on the track, but it turns out most can't run on it. I think packaging should be more specific, both of tracks and cars, indicating for which tracks they are suitable and the tracks, with which other tracks they can be amplified, if any. Right now it is a lot of guesswork and searching.

  Once the 2 sides of this case come apart they never stay back together. It looks like it's supposed to snap on and off but the plastic doesn't stay the same after. Not so good for the younger kids that like taking things apart. Also, the way that it shuts isn't so great as it's not reliable.

  This car case is ok...it has a lot of room and is good for storing cars. However, the edges inside the case are too sharp. My son has scratched himself several times while using the case.

  I think it is very instrumental in the storage of my Hot Wheels cars. They seem to be happy in a place they can call home. I tried a clear plastic carrying that I bought ... and I didn't like it. I think the Hot Wheels case is a better place to store my cars largely because it is a Hot Wheels product (even though it is not produced by Mattel) and not some generic one.

  I love this thing! I got it as a christmas gift 4 years ago and the only thing damaged on it is a little crack on the corner of the lid (when I accidentally stepped on it) other than that, it's very nice. I love organizing all my cars by wheel, color, etc. Another thing I like about it is it's made in the U.S.A instead of some sweatshop in china. I guess that's why it's so good.

  We had been looking for a case to carry hot wheels in and were pleased to find one listed. We are very pleased with the two cases we purchased.
  They are well constructed and hold several cars. They will make the organization of the cars possible and a very easy way to keep the cars together. I was pleased with the price we paid for the merchandise.

  My son has collected so many hotwheels cars that it is difficult to keep them all together. This is a wonderful way to store all the loose cars. I wish it would hold up to 100 cars instead of having to buy a second case.

  My two sons ages 10 and 13 love the hot wheels case. The individual compartments keep the cars from hitting one another. This way they don't get scratched. Not only does it protect the cars, but also allows you to tote around your cars. The hard case provides added protection. The price is very reasonable.
