USB printer cable By A1ZDQ7E4VJDWBH on 2002-02-03
I recently needed to buy a USB cable for my new printer and I found out that there are many USB cables at very different prices. So, doing a search I found the "Belkin 10FT USBA/USBB Device Cable" but I was not sure if it would work for a printer. Since it was the less expensive I decided to give it a try. I'm happy because the cable works great with my USB printer and I found out that the cable actually exceeds the features displayed on amazon site. The cable manufacturer part number is F3U133-10. With the following features: - Hi-speed data transfer to 480Mbps - 10 FT (3m) - A plug/ B plug - High performance 20-gauge power wires. - USB logo guarantees cables are 100% compliant with current USB specifications (Works with all USB devices A/B plug). - Works with USB 2.0 - Connect a USB 2.0 or 1.X device to your computer. - Belkin lifetime warranty. - Gold plated copper contacts provide maximum conductivity and minimizes data loss. According to the manufacturer site you can connect your USB printer, scanner, hard drive and more to your computer. As I said, it works great with my USB printer. I definitively recommend it because I got the less expensive (good length of 10ft) and great quality option for a USB printer cable. I'm also happy because the cable specifications exceeded my expectations for the money I paid.
Works great By AY1EQBBL2BONH on 2002-06-28
When I purchased this product I thought I was getting a USB version 1 cable. It turned out to be 2.0. Fortunately the package said it was backward compatible and it was.The book that came with my printer stated I needed a USB cable with a length of no greater than 6 foot, shielded, etc. They should tell you this before you get the printer. Fortunately, the 10 foot cable connected and worked flawlessly. I always try to buy Belkin since they generally have top quality products and good support.
All USB cables are created equal. By A37HT2DY7N8LIE on 2005-01-10
At $3.99, this is a good price for a name brand USB cable, but only because they tend to dramatically overcharge on their prices. There are no differences with USB cables other than length and the shape of the connectors placed on each end. There are plenty of online retailers that sell USB cables for less than $1.00 and they will work just as fine as any high priced one you may see at BestBuy, CircuitCity, Staples, OfficeMax, Radio Shack, etc. Many of the high priced cables will include gold plated connectors which is just a gimmick, they provide no better connection that those without it. Also USB cables do not have speeds associated with them they way computers and laptops do. There is no such thing as a USB 1.1 or 2.0 cable so if you have an older USB cable when USB 1.1 was the only thing out, it will work perfectly with the newer USB 2.0 technology. They are made exactly the same, you're told you need a newer "high speed" hoping that you'll throw away you perfectly capable current cable and buy the new $40 gold-plated zero-loss oxygen-free cable when you really don't need it. As I said at earlier, $3.99 is a good price for this set, but you can find better if you shop around. If Amazon is the only site you trust buying from, definitely get these.
1-17-2005 Update. At the current price, this is no-longer a good deal.
great buy By A3GQKB1KF0CRPE on 2003-11-05
one cannot write poetically about cords, but I can say this is super value. Much less than I saw on the market. Works great, quality is superior to what I was checking out for comparisons, and I was so THRILLED to have the longer length. If you need extra USB cords, this is a good deal.
Amazon keeps asking me to review this here wire By A1KFCZF2V2FS62 on 2007-04-15
USB cables annoy the beejeebers out of me. You buy a printer for $40. Then you are supposed to pay another $25 for a cable to hook it up to your computer? I have heard of the "add on sales" model, as successfully used by Gillette to build their razor blade empire, but this is ridiculous. Particularly ridiculous as those yokels selling the printers aren't making any money on the cables (in fact, they're getting you on the printer ink).
I bought my cable from amazon for $11. It isn't a great price. A great price would be $2, and that would be what a USB cable is worth. USB should be cheaper than old school 10base2 ethernet cable (which, by comparison, had better shielding, and a relatively complicated connector), but it isn't. Someone, somewhere is making a zillion dollars on USB cable, and I'd like to track him down and punch him in the throat for it.
- Works great

I got this cable for my new Canon i320 printer. It was easy to hook up and fit perfectly into the printer. Overall, I'm pleased.
- 10 ft is better than 6!
     By A1522TN5FVJL0Y on 2002-07-22
Nice printer cable that gives you a little extra length than normal 6 foot cables. Amazon price is always better than over-inflated superstore prices on USB cables.
- Great Printer Cable
     By A185MSH9XFYAFT on 2004-12-15
I bought a new printer on Dell and was going to buy a USB cable from them but when I saw $25 for the cable, I decided to look elsewhere. When I saw this cable on Amazon for such a low price, I was concerned that it wouldn't work with my printer. I received it quickly from Amazon and it worked great. Higly recommend to everyone.
- Worth to purchase
     By AV0U3QHRJTJ8D on 2002-08-09
$4 for a USB cable, nowhere except Amazon.com can offer this price. Compared with other local retail stores ($19.99), this is a lot cheaper. The cable is exactly the same as the local stores' USB cable. Worth to buy.
- Absolutely the best
     By A5JLAU2ARJ0BO on 2004-11-10
Wow, the price on this USB 2.0 cable is just incredible! It's high-quality, high-speed (USB 2.0), and just all-around excellent.
Plus, it can be used with more than just printers. You can also use it with many external drives (hard disk, DVD drive, CD drive, Zip drive, etc.) that use USB 2.0.
This is the best USB cable to get.
- Better online than in the store.
     By A1403840HDGP7H on 2002-10-22
It plugs into the PC. It plugs into the scanner. Everything works fine. But the most important aspect is the cost. It was $20 cheaper than any place near by that I could have picked it up at. And it is quite nice to have a cord longer than the 3 footer that came with the scanner.
- Plugged it in and it worked
     By A3G01RI3MUWWQ6 on 2002-07-03
It's a cable. How much can you say? I plugged it into my printer and the other end into my computer. Both the computer and the printer worked. The cable did its job.
- Good Cheap USB Cable
     By AMZLLEFIOOQCN on 2004-08-22
This was a great bargain! Most of the stores sold their USB cables for at least fifteen dollars and this one was half the price with the same reliability.
- cheap on Amazon & nowhere else
     By A3I9VSSDDPG477 on 2004-07-14

- Just what the PC doctor ordered
     By A2UCOSEHTW6I0H on 2003-12-14
This USB cable is an integral component of my home MIDI studio. I use it to connect my PC to a Midiman MidiSport 8x8 MIDI Interface/Patch Bay. The cable is sturdy, easy to install, and reliably routes my MIDI data.Best of all, you can't beat Amazon's price! It costs less here than it does at retail computer "superstores."
- perfect cable

- Where's my thing?
     By AO3GPUEVD8MGF on 2005-01-06
This is the best price and quality you'll find for a USB cable. I wish i would have bought more than one, just don't have a need for another one. Buy, buy, buy!
- Price, Price, Price!!!
     By A63X1AT2OCYYM on 2005-07-08
Went to a local store, same product was $22.00. I can wait a few days for shipping with these prices. This is a nice regular usb cable which fits most printers, Scanners and other USB Devices which don't come with their own special cable. I bought three of these. The length let me place my scanner and printer and Logitech Camera "off my desk".
- It works great
     By A1W0IMZ5IHSH6K on 2005-08-28
This USB 2.0 cable works perectly. Its a shame that retail stores sell these cables for $25 and up. I recently purchased a computer package from Dell and I'm glad I opted not to get an overpriced cable through them. The cost of this cable through amazon was almost half of what I would have paid either through Dell or any retail store.
Don't be tricked into paying more than you need to for this item. Same quality, cheaper price through amazon.
- AMAZING VALUE
     By A1P6FPOHTL2AXT on 2005-09-06
Wow - great item. We looked at the exact same item at a store and it was about $30. Cant beat the price and it works great.
- Very cheap and works great
     By A1Y0UJ13IX977R on 2005-09-16
I don't have an expert's opinion about USB cables, but this one was so cheap and it works great!! It's hard to imagine why anyone would spend a minimum of $20-25 dollars in stores for the same thing, and actually for a shorter 3 ft long cable (this one is 6 foot).
- Good deal
     By A2745S4W0ZJS0 on 2005-12-24
I was about to buy a cable from dell for a dell printer. costed $$ compared to this one. Thanks Amazon!!
- Works Great with my Epson Stylus CX4200 Printer
     By A3DQWFWINN3V5A on 2006-01-15
There's not much to say about this USB cable. It's exactly what I needed to connect my Epson Stylus CX4200 Printer to my computer. Plus, I got it here on Amazon for about one fifth of what I could get it for locally. Excellent deal. I rate it at 5 stars out of 5.
- Great price for a great item.
     By A1FISS9YFJCXVG on 2006-01-17
This is a STEAL! The day before I found this cord on Amazon, I bought a similar cord, although it was only 6ft long, at a nationwide electronics store for about $25. Needless to say, I returned that item for this one. I am using this cord for a printer/copier/scanner. Don't let the 10ft length scare you; if you don't need that much cord, just roll up the extra and secure it together -- that what I did and it still works GREAT!
- Belkin is the Best
     By ASUX09FQRR0L on 2006-03-10
Belkin products are famous for their functionality and their lifetime guarantee, and this USB cable is no exception. Amazon prices are at least 75% lower on this item than the typical computer stores. Highly recommended.
- All-around satisfactory purchase and transaction.
     By A1ER6OCZWD0FPD on 2005-08-13
As a novice to the computer world, I cannot speak for the technical aspects of the Belkin USB 2.0 Device Cable. When I determined that was what was needed to set up my newly purchased Canon printer, I was pleased to see the great price for this item offered on Amazon's site. It arrived in just a few days, as specified, and all was very satisfactory from start to finish.
- Great Deal
     By AGZL8HDMSEENB on 2005-09-29
You may worry about cheap computer cords, but this one really is a great deal. The cord and connectors are solid, don't feel cheap at all, perfect USB 2.0 speed, and the length gives it access where ever you need to put your printer or what not. Don't shy away from the price.
- great. Works like it should
     By A7ED6BJO320TG on 2005-10-10
It does what it should. It is dependable and so much cheaper than the brick and mortar store. What more could I want?
- Good Deal

Very satisfied with the deal & quality, same cable was available in CircuitCity for 29.99.
