HIGH OUTPUT HAND PUMP 19"L 3 nozzles Pumps on up & down strokes RWTUV approved Large nozzle threaded for athletic ball inflating needle (included) Inflates athletic balls up to 8 psi Inflates and deflates

File this under "why didn't I think of that." This high-volume pump, designed to inflate any raft you happen upon, forces air both on the upstroke and the down so you actually get your pumping done in half the time. Not only that, just switch the hose connection and it can be used to deflate as well. It comes with three different nozzle attachments so it will fit most valves as well as product information on the side of the box in 12 languages. It's not often the word "cool" comes to mind when describing a pump, but this one fits the bill. -- John Moe MPN: 58615 - UPC: 078257586158

  • This is not a toy, but a great tool.

    By A39FCPRLJAEA78 on 2004-07-25
I just got this pump a couple of weeks ago, and it has performed great! It inflates my Coleman kayak in less than 10 minutes without straining (blowing it up without it took over 1/2 hour and feeling like I was going to throw up). It has a very simple mechanism that disassembles easily for educational or repair purposes. A big advantage is that it can be used to suck the air out of things just by switching the hose to the other end, which is great for collapsing the kayak into the smallest bundle.

  • This Pump Rules

    By A28XIJEG6TJR4P on 2001-06-15
I purchased the intex easy set pool which was very easy to assemble only part that was a little tricky was the ladder any way this pump blew that top ring up in 3 minutes try doing all that by mouth!! This pump is an excelent value at that price becuase it pumps both in the upward and downward strokes as your pumping which cuts your time in 1/2 (half). I recommend this to anyone that would like to inflate pool toys, pools, etc. with out passing out.

  • Pump It Up With Intex

    By A1K5DUV1L52MUD on 2005-11-19
We first made the purchase for the Wet Set Whale Rider and then utilized it frequently for the Intex JumpOlene. It inflates and deflates in record time without the use of batteries.

My son is able to use it with ease. This measures about 19 inches from the black handle to the red base, while the hose comes to 40 inches. The red base has a flat surface with the two holes for the hose to be inserted. The hole to the left has the arrow pointing up indicating this is for inflating. The hole on the right side has the arrow facing down to be used for deflating items. The handle is easy to twist off and pull out. There is a plastic ring divider with two other black tubes in this suction cup container.

In order to maneuver the hose to fit into the intended slot it is necessary to squeeze it just so and jimmy it into the hole. The nozzles are attached to the top part of the hose and need to be fastened before sticking it in the hole of the item needing to be inflated.

I have used it both with bare feet while indoors and with shoes on with no problems either way. I also used this for an air mattress and it was a cinch.

There are times when we become over zealous with our pumping and cause the hose to pop out of the socket. In just a minute it can be fixed and pumping can resume. The bottom part of the base once you turn it over has a black cover that appears to be secured by six slots secured into the portion of the pump.

A good tool to use for all your home inflating needs and can get the kids involved in the process too.

  • SAVE YOUR BREATH!!

    By A2Q94R09SZORJH on 2001-05-20
This product is excellent especially for the price. Last summer I blew my sons pool up myself and I thought I would pass out! So this year I broke down and bought this pump and am I glad! It worked great and the 3 attached nozzel heads make it easy to switch, and find, for someone who misplaces everyting like me. You can't do without it!

  • Double Duty Pump, More than one use!

    By on 2003-07-02
This pump will pump you up! It works beautifully at inflating not only your pool, toys, and balls- but your muscles as well!! It is definitely faster than a single mini pump! If you plan on inflating something large with it- I would say you will either need to tag team someone or be in really good shape. I inflated and Intex pool with it, and by the next day my arms and abs felt it. Love the added extra bo nus of a workout! But for real, it is a great product and came with 3 different filling 'needles' perfect for anything from pools to playgroud balls.

  • what are you pumping up?
    By A3I6ZINNMQ3T8Q on 2005-04-07
this pump inflates our toys and balls well. however, remember that you will need a different pump for a bicycle. keeping that in mind, no complaints. unfortunately, there isn't a pump out there that i know of that can pump everything....

  • Not a very durable pump
    By on 2002-07-25
I purchased one of these pumps about 1 year ago. I used it to pump up an inflatable ball pit and it worked great. It inflates things quickly due to the output of air on both the up and down strokes. However, after using it only 6-8 times, the inner mechanism was not working properly and when it did still pump, the amount of air being pumped was reduced. Finally, it would not pump air at all. Not a great bargain at over a dollar per use. : (

  • fantastic!

talk about filling up the pool fast!! I love this pump, just a shame that it doesn't fill bike tires, i would actually pay more for this pump just to have that feature

  • Good pump for the money
    By AXBOFTJJ0PICS on 2005-09-27
This pump is great for small jobs like blowing up balls and small inflatable objects. However, we bought it to inflate a jump castle and had to really work up a sweat to do the job!! Talk about getting your exercise!! So, buy this pump for the small jobs, but invest in an electric one for the big jobs!!

  • pumps up great!
    By A1K9HPXWXCSEN2 on 2005-10-26
We got the pump for use with a kayak and it works very well and we can get out on the water within 10 minutes. I really like it versatility for the deflate it is great.

  • worth the money
    By AE9DX7OHHOYRN on 2005-09-30
This air pump isn't anything fancy. It's inflates at a decent pace, not really slow nor fast. I only paid $10 for it, which is worth it, certainly better than having to inflate something myself.

  • My Hair Is More Durable
    By A18D507RONY28G on 2005-08-12
In layman's terms, it sucked. Yes it did everything it was said to and more, but about 4 minutes after i opened it up and tried to use it, it broke. I put a little water on the needle and on my basketball and pumped it up. When I tried to take it out, the end nozzle separated from the needle. I couldn't even get the needle out, so I ended up having to cut open the basketball...But it did pump really well.

I blew up the giant lawn sprinkler & a pool playground with this pump. My arm was cramping some, but at least I didn't get light headed from blowing!

  • a good pump
    By A1IUOAXURPPRUF on 2002-08-24
this pump works well. you get inflation with both the up and down motion. it also has three tips to place on the tube, so it can inflate different sized openings.

by the way, if you are inflating a large item, it provides a pretty good workout on your arms and legs!!

I bought this with one of those huge bounce houses, it worked awesome and it didn't take that long at all, just don't buy the bounce house it deflated all the time.

  • Not a good pump for me.
    By A23VEK8D5JBI9O on 2006-04-17
This pump could not increase my inflated exercise ball. The ball has been sitting around for months and it is deflated to the point where my body is not properly positioned. I am sure that the folks with the boats/rafts need that extra inflation too. I really relied on everyones feedback before making my purchase. This one seemed promising. I will need to buy another pump.
Not sure why Amazon is asking us to rate this item as a 'toy'. Nothing fun about this one.

  • Great Pump
    By A2BIUD6E63A4D5 on 2006-05-31
This is a great little pump, I blew up my kids' pool and all the beach balls and toys they had to go with it in about 2 minutes. I also like that they different nozzles are attached to it so you don't have to worry about losing them. No assembly is also a plus.

  • For strong people

It works, but it needs lots of energy and time. I haven't disvered the way to used in a reverse way.

I bought this on sale for $9.99 and it was a great bargain. Very handy for blowing up the kiddie pool and beach balls. It has a needle attachment for basketballs, footballs, etc.

  • If you're buying an inflatable pool, this is worth the money
    By A34G279C9A18GF on 2007-08-02
If you're considering purchasing an inflatable pool but don't want to spend the money for an electric or battery-operated air pump, you are going to need this product. I remember getting my first kiddie pool as a child and how long it took my dad to inflate it using the old lung-powered method. I also seem to remember some cursing and some muttered oaths regarding the possibility of his ever making any similar purchases again...and those were the days before inflatable kiddie pools were made any bigger than maybe a 50-gallon capacity. If you think you're capable of using your lungs to inflate a 300-gallon (or more) capacity splasher pool for the kids...well, okay... My advice would be to start on it early in order to be ready for summer...if you begin the task around mid-December, you should be all set!

Seriously, though...if you're buying an inflatable pool, it's worth it to go ahead and buy one of these, too. It's cheaper than an electric one and you'll be surprised how quickly it gets the job done. (NOTE: Before you purchase an inflatable pool, please read my product review of the Intex 90" x 22" Swim Center Color Whirl Pool. I WOULD NOT recommend buying that one!)

  • Very large
    By A3QMADFTD2GI2O on 2007-11-25
This pump works to blow up all my pool toys, but keep in mind it's very large. I bought it to take on vacation but, I definitely won't be traveling with it. It does the job though.
