Great music but save big bucks with the 5-disc set!

This CD is great. It has both old and new Disney classics. But...for a little more money you can get all these songs and about 80 more. The 5 disc set sold here at Amazon has 99 Disney classics and sells for about the price of 2 CDs. The 5 disc set includes songs such as Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah from the no-longer released Song of the South, songs from the theme parks like the Electric Light Parade theme, It's a Small World from the NY World's Fair...it has them all! Buying the CDs seperately you probably spend twice as much + shipping; save some money--the 5-CD set is the way to go.
Classic Disney Music

I was looking for a CD with the Mickey Mouse theme music and it was impossible to find a copy. I saw this on the Disney website and bought it. The music was great and it had the theme music. These songs bring back memories as you recall the Disney characters from Mickey to Bambi to Snow White. Also the price was right! Better than any store. If your looking for this kind of music than you can't beat this CD!
Great Disney CD

This is a really great CD. I bought it because I am a huge fan of Disney, and I was not disappointed. This CD includes such great songs as "The Bells of Notre Dame" From the Hunchback of Notre Dame, and "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes" From Cinderella. It has a great mix of older and more recent songs, and is a wonderful listening experience. Great CD for all fans of Disney.

I love all the Disney songs on all of the "Greatest Hits" CD's! Any Disney song makes me smile and I enjoy listing to the new and old songs from my favorite movies!

- Seems Lighter Than The First But....

Disney is one of the few motion picture companies out there who are lucky enough to have such a large selection of tunes to cull "hits" from. This second "Greatest" album seems to be lacking when compared to the original, but it gives the listener a few tunes from films not on the first album and a few others that should have been on the first one anyway. Examples of this are the timeless and wonderful "You'll Be In My Heart" from "Tarzan," "Be Our Guest" from "Beauty and the Beast," and "Go The Distance" from "Hercules." The songs are listed in a descending order of newest to oldest. Great classics on here include "Someday My Prince Will Come," "Ballad of Davy Crockett," and "It's A Small World." Other wonderful tunes on here include the unforgettable "Under The Sea" and "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes."
This album is a worthy second collection of Disney's "Greatest." It features an excellent mixture of tunes from modern Disney flicks as well as beloved classics. Although younger children may not know of tunes like "Second Star To The Right," just a few listens will have them singing or humming along with all of the songs on this disc.
I should note that I am a huge Disney freak and my review is most probably biased. I highly recommend this album along with the first. I haven't purchased the third installment in this series, but it does seem to be a bit of a drop off from these first two albums. I hope that you enjoy this album with your family as much as I do with mine!

Good, but not as good as volume 1. Would have preferred more of the recent Disney Classics as they are more fun to sing along with. Ditto for volume 3.

I love this CD. I play this CD in the car with my 2 young children and they love it too. We listen to the music and talk about which movie the music comes from. A definate must have for anyone who loves Disny movies!

I've ALWAYS been a fan of the songs in disney movies, and now that I'm past the stage of watching the movies (and all younger cousins who I would watch them with have grown up) I'm building a soundtrack collection. This is the first one I bought, and I wasn't disappointed. The songs are as refreshing and fun to listen to as they were in the movies, and reminded me of why I like disney in the first place- because some of my all-time favorite songs, the best music I've ever heard, are on disney soundtracks!

I like to listen to this cd with my 7 month old son. We just skip songs from some of the cheesier recent Disney films and dance around. Fun times!

hey lets face it, second instalments are difficult whether it's movies, tv show spin offs, or aparently even cd collections. well, sadly was the case for disney's greatest volume 2. even though this is an increadable cd that anyone who bought the original should own, it just doesn't seem as great or epic as the first.
part of that comes from the song listings which are much lighter as a rule, but again this has exceptions, "colors of the wind" seems much more dramatic than "just around the river ben," but it is the latter that makes the first cd. all in all, these are the songs that bring back funnier, true-to-life memories of their featured films and not the larger-than-life memories provoked by the first volume. that may be better or worse, you'll have to be the judge, but over all, this is increadably worth owning.
the nicest thing about this album though, is the way it juxtaposes off of the first one's intensity. this warmer compilation definately does deserve to sit next to it's predacessor because of its brilliance, but it is just a little below its predacessor in overall quality.

I'm a huge fan of Disney. And I'm a huge fan of music. Better yet, I'm a huge fan of Disney music! I just love the stuff they've been composing these days! Not like, LOVE!
Now you can listen to all your favorite Disney classics without necessarily having to watch the movies. Best of all, you can listen to the songs as many times as you want. It's nothing but pure fun, or as they say, pure Disney magic.
If you haven't purchased one of these CDs yet, then I very strongly recommend that you go and do so.
- Relive you childhood

I bought this album for my son, and I think we've just about worn it out. I really enjoy the fact that now he can sing along to many of the Disney songs I grew up with, and that we can both enjoy songs from some of the newer Disney movies. This is a must have for anyone who has kids. They have taken the best songs from the past and present Disney movies and put in on one CD. Vol. 1 is also a great buy.

Nothing brings sweet recollection of Disney movies like hearing the wonderful songs. In an age where there so much music with no redeeming qualities, these Disney CDs are priceless. Wonderful for the entire family to listen to around the house or in the car while traveling. We can't help but sing along. We love that these are the original tracks from the movies! Wonderful! We now have all three volumes.

We recently purchased this cd, after already having Vol. 1. My kids (3 and 1 1/2) love both cds. It can be a real help in the car on extended trips.

This is a great CD. I love it, my kids love it, and it worked perfect for our road trip. It is something we can all enjoy and listen to. We have collected all of the volumes. They are great.
