Best Price: $99.95
What's a kitchen without bowls? Designed for function and style these handy bowls are most economical by the set.
Renowned worldwide for its cookware collections, All-Clad now makes kitchen accessories, and that's welcome news to serious and professional cooks. This set of gorgeous mixing bowls is a perfect example. Made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel polished to a deep, gleaming mirror finish, they're stain- and corrosion-resistant and nonreactive to acidic foods like salad dressings and marinades. Their side handles are generously sized and cleverly angled to provide an exceptionally firm grip when whisking egg whites or whipping cream, and the rolled edges permit pouring without dripping. The set consists of a 5-quart bowl (10 inches in diameter), a 3-quart bowl (8-1/2 inches in diameter), and a 1-1/2-quart bowl (7 inches in diameter) that nest inside one another. The bowls are dishwasher-safe and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

ALL-CLAD IS ALL TERRIFIC! By A3M174IC0VXOS2 on 2001-10-12
This All-Clad 3 piece stainless steel mixing bowl set really bowled me over! It's the best. The three sizes, 1 ½ qt., 3 qt., and 5 qt., cover every kitchen need. And the convenient easy grip handles enable users to maintain stability for mixing or blending. While most know that this line was originally designed to meet the demands of professional chefs, perhaps some do not know how great it is for a novice. Not only are the All-Clad bowls utilitarian, but they are most attractive with a sleek design that compliments any kitchen. As for dishwasher safe, that's an understatement. They retain luster after countless runs through wash cycles. Almost best of all is the "stainless" quality - these bowls refuse to take on stains from even the most challenging fruits and vegetables. From now on, All-Clad is my top choice!
Wonderful, but I'm glad I didn't pay for them! By A1IW8BGN8EN9AA on 2001-07-02
I received these bowls as a wedding present and I LOVE them! Even though they do nest nicely for storage, I put up wall pegs for one-handed access while I am cooking. I can't seem to make anything without using at least two of them. They hold a chill nicely for working with pastry and pie dough Perfect for beating egg whites. They havn't dented, even when I have knocked them off the pegs onto the counter and I use a variety of hand mixers in them. I wash them in the dishwasher, but find that I will hand wash before mixing in another bowl. Why not 5 stars? They could use something- either a non-skid bottom or a rubber ring- to allow for counter mixing. Sometimes I would like the option for one hand mixing without having to pile up my dish towels. Price is daunting. Went to get a set for a friend, but almost fell over when I saw the price. This is a definite wish list item! However, if the company really stands behind the lifetime replacement gaurantee, they might be worth the dough.

Living in a sparsely settled rural area, I had no easy way to search for the stainless-steel mixing bowls my daughter, in another state, wanted. So I used the Internet to order the All-Clad set plus an extra bowl not offered as part of the set. Without comment, she reported that the bowls had arrived. By the time I visited her, 3 months later, I found that she had totally rejected the bowls mainly because she found the diameter of the base far too small. She felt, and I agree, that the size of the base creates a real problem by degrading the bowl's independent stability. I can easily visualize a bowl containing soft material or liquid tipping over if it's not held 100% of the time it's in use. And that is very difficult, if not impossible. I never even considered the possibility that All-Clad would create such an imperfect design in a product whose cost tacitly implied flawless production.
All-Clad Stainless Mixing Bowl Set - Excellent Design! By A257TRBUBKJYDB on 2003-05-08
These are the best mixing bowl I have every used! I use at least one or two every day. They have a nice handle so you can get a good grip on it. The polished stainless steel is so beautiful you could definitely use them to serve as well. I find I use the 1.5 quart for mixing sauces or beating eggs and the 3 & 5 quart sizes for cake mixes and fillings. I also have the 7 quart that is a must have for making meatballs. The base is a good size and there is no danger that anything could tip over, that is unless you tip it over! Top quality and excellent design! And this 3 bowl set is also a great value! Highly recommended!

The design is perfect. Although you want the bowl to be stable on the counter, the rounder the inside of the bowl the better, And the nearly round bottom is important because then the bowl and the whisk share the same profile enabling the whisk to do its job easily and well. These bowls also make good hats.
- These bowls deliver with style

I received these as a Christmas gift 5 years ago, and they still look new. The stainless steel has a nice weight, without being too heavy. The deep bowls and steep sides make spills and splashes very rare, and the generous handle makes mixing and whipping a breeze. Although they are a lot more expensive than others, these do an excellent job.

I replaced my very old Pyrex colored mixing bowl set with these gleaming Stainless Steel beauties. My reason for replacement was the amount of noise that the glass bowls generate when removed from the shelf. Also, the color diminshed with use and washing. The wonderful All-Clad Stainless Steel bowls de stack easily with virtually no noise. They clean up perfectly. They are dishwasher safe. They also resist scratching and gouging (Of course, I resist the temptation to use metal implements on stainless steel cookware). I am slowly treating myself to new All-Clad products. I like every single one.

I am very pleased with my new Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set.
It is easy to clean, easy to use and looks great too. It does an especially nice job with whipping cream and dough ... the SS gets nice and cold in the freezer.
