Fisher-Price Musical Tea Setx$10.99
    (147 reviews)
Best Price: $10.99
This teapot over for magic pouring sounds, or presses the lid to hear a tea time tune. Set includes four cups, saucers and spoons, plus a creamer and sugar bowl with lid, and a tray for serving treats. It requires two replaceable button-cell alkaline batteries, which are included
Every child should have a tea set somewhere in the toy box, not just for feeding favorite dollies and teddies, but also for practicing tea-party manners before a special party or dinner. This molded plastic set is made with the thoughtful design and extra-durable materials of most Fisher-Price toys, with the added bonus of a jolly musical teapot. It plays "I'm a Little Teapot" when the top of the lid is pressed, and also provides a "magical" chiming noise when the pot is poured (requires two button-cell batteries; included). The set includes four teacups in pastel shades, matching saucers, a sugar bowl, a creamer, and four white spoons. Everything fits onto a sturdy lavender tray with large handles and a built-in stand for the teapot. --Marcie Bovetz

The Perfect Tea Set By on 2002-02-17
I searched all over for a tea set that my 2-year-old daughter could actually use. This one is wonderful! The set is sized just right -- the cups hold enough that she (and I) can actually drink out of them, the teapot holds enough to pour liquid into all four cups, the teapot is easy to pour, and the cups are easy to hold. To top is off, it's a really pretty set, has a very well designed, easy to use tray, and is made of super durable molded plastic! Not to mention then cream and sugar set, spoons you could actually use if you wanted to, and a very reasonable price.I was concerned about the "pouring" noise making us crazy as it kept going off when I wrapped the gift, but found that in the course of normal play it's not bothersome. Just store the gift flat until it's unwrapped. My daughter found it really intriguing to unwrap a gift that was singing. My daughter has a lot of fun playing with this toy and serving all her stuffed friends. It's on my gift list for all the little girls I know.
Hours of fun By AZK9CCTYQNRNL on 2002-02-13
My daughter received this for her second birthday and it has been a favourite ever since. The cups, saucers and spoons are just the right size for little hands (and not too bad for parents hands as well if you are playing along). The teapot is cute and makes a twinkling noise when you "pour" or plays the song "I'm a little teapot" when you press the button on top. It also comes with a milk jug and sugar bowl. All the things you need for a wonderful afternoon tea. Everything fits neatly on the tray and my daughter doesn't seem to have too much trouble carrying it around when serving tea to me and her special doll. This is a wonderful tea set for play, not too many pieces and made by Fisher Price so you know it's going to last.
Superb! A Wonderful Tea Set. By A30H2335OM7RD6 on 2003-07-26
My daughter was 18 months old when she got this for a gift. It has been a favorite of hers ever since and she's two and a half now. This is just perfect for little fingers (and mom's fingers too)! The teapot holds enough water to fill four cups and the four cups are big enough to hold more than a drop of 'tea'. Yet they are small enough that a spill does not equal a disaster. Everything fits onto a sturdy tray and my daughter seems to have no difficulty carrying the tray with everything on it. There is a cute creamer and sugar bowl and spoons that are just perfect for using. The teapot plays I'm a little teapot when the button on top is pushed and makes cute tinkly sounds when the teapot is tipped to pour. It is a pleasant sound and not so loud that it annoys. If you are like I am and look for gifts that encourage creative, imaginative play this teapot is perfect. If you look for toys that do more than blink or play music at a push of a button, this toy fits the bill. It is fairly quiet and easy to play with and fun. Enjoy.
fun tea set By A1TEFMU4NRWK84 on 2006-11-08
My daughter now 4 - has had this for 3 years and her little sister is now using it. It has withheld even the most rough play. I love it because I have put it in the dishwasher and it has no problems. My kids like to not only play "pretend" but use the cups as well for snacks and juice. this has to be one of the best sets out there and if for any reason something gets broke just contact the company, for a small fee - if any - they will replace it. I would buy it again in a heart beat!
Over twice MSRP! By A3VCEWSD7ILOXH on 2006-11-28

- This set has survived 3 years of a pre-school class!
     By A29M9VHAJWWETA on 2006-11-17
My sister bought this tea set 3 years ago for my now 5 year old. My daughter LOVES it.
We had been looking for a non-breakable tea set for several months. We looked at fabric and plastic sets, but did not find one that wouldn't carry germs or break easily if it fell to the floor. In telling this dillema to my sister, she said not to worry, she had the perfect set. Boy was she right!
My daughter not only pretends to serve tea, but also any other drink you can think of. For a while, she used it to serve the make-believe food that we had ordered from our "waitress". It has withstood many "tea parties" with her friends. We gave a set to her pre-school class, and it has survived 3 years of 15+ kids playing with it daily 7 days a week!
We love it so much that we started to give it as a present to other little girls. Mom's at the parties always ask where we got it and how much it costs.
My only problem is that sometimes the battery has to "die" for a while. The sound of the teapot can get on my nerves after a long day of tea-partying. This may not bother you, but my daughter can play with this toy all day if the fancy strikes.
With that said, every little girl should have a tea set like this.
- TOO CUTE ~ Perfect Tea Set
     By A3O1QMC0DZ9PZV on 2002-10-15
This is the cutest tea set I have ever seen. My daughter got this for Christmas last year and she's now three and still plays with this set. The colors are beautiful and the sounds are clear. We have tea parties all the time. Great toy investment for lots of fun!!
- Simply the Best Tea Set Ever!!
     By A3PDLVXGOUMW0 on 2003-08-26
I bought this tea set for my granddaughter when she was 18 months old. She loved it right away, and was excited to be able to "serve" tea to guests. A year later, she still plays with this toy daily. The tea set is very sturdy and colorful. It plays the song I'm a Little Teapot when the top of the teapot is pressed, and makes a tinkling noise as the teapot fills up the cups. The set consists of four plates (with different designs), four cups, a platter, teapot, creamer and sugar with lid - all the pieces for a complete set. I was skeptical about the song and pouring sound made by the teapot - I thought "this will never last" - but it has and it is the feature that most enchants a child. This set makes a great gift; it is always a hit and the price is very reasonable. (The teapot will not make noise when packed since it comes with a stopper that has to be removed before using & activating the sounds.) I would rate this as my all-round favorite toy for little ones.
- I'm a little tea pot, short and stout....
     By A3PC3LSYOKAQ3N on 2006-06-16
Although this tea set plays the tea pot song over and over again, I hardly ever hear it. As a parent, this is a wonderful invention! The kids can push the button over and over again and enjoy the music, but the sound doesn't travel very far.
The set is made out of very durable heavy plastic. It has survived the traumas of being thrown around and chewed on by our puppy. It looks just as good as it did coming right out of the box.
The different pieces are all so very cute and completely match. They are soft colors that will match any room decor so it looks like they belong.
- A great, durable, fun tea set even without the noise
     By on 2003-04-21
My 2 year old daughter received this tea set last Christmas and has played with it almost daily since. My 5 year old son loves this toy as well. They "make" and "serve" tea and coffee and other beverages during the day, and love to pretend to pour and drink and mix. There are enough pieces that fights over the parts are kept to a minimum. Also, the set has survived dropping, throwing, and stepping on with nary a mark. The set is very cute, colorful, and extremely durable. My husband and I, however, do not like toys that make noise. Call us party-poopers, but we removed the batteries from the top of the tea pot the very first day. The tea pot, sans music, is every bit as fun as it was before, and is easier on adult ears. With or without music, this is a good, durable, fun toy.
- Great Buy for little girls
     By on 2004-06-05
II BOUGHT THIS TOY FOR MY NEICE LAST MONTH AND SHE LOVED IT. SHE HAS A BIT OF A PROBLEM NOT DROPPING CUPS AND SPOONS ECT. WHEN "SERVING" TEA BUT ALL IN ALL A NICE BUY ALSO THE LID WHICH MAKES THE NOISE CAN BE SOME WHAT ANNOYING AND AFTER 2 MONTHS THE BATTERIES RAN OUT AND WERE HARD TO REPLACE THE SPOONS ARE ALSO EASILY LOST AND THE TRAY IS JUST BIG ENOUGH FOR EVERYTHING YOU HAVE TO ARRANGE IT JUST RIGHT A TASK OFTEN RESERVED FOR ME OR MOM. THE PLASTIC IS THICK AND DURABLE AND CUPS PERFECT SIZED FOR WEE HANDS SHE WAS A LITTLE DISSAPIONTED WHEN SHE FOUND OUT YOU COULDN'T HAVE REAL TEA (THE ELECTRONIC COMPONETS MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE.) WE ARE NOW HAVING TEA EVERY DAY THOUGH SHE LOVES AND SO DO I A GREAT BUY RECOMENDED HIGHLY FOR THAT FIRST TEA SET
- Great toy but you cannot put liquid in it!!!
     By A3V78UU8E7PMBO on 2008-01-14
BEWARE! I got this for my 2 year old's birthday and she was immediately in love with it. The problem is that the teacups each have 2 small HOLES near the top of the cup!! Which means that when a child tries to drink real "tea," the liquid drips all over their shirt and the floor!
I called Fisher Price and was told that this was a new "European regulation"--something to do with kids not being able to drown themselves in a cup... They said that every teapot sold since MAY 2007 has the holes in it. Also the set is allegedly not meant to have liquid in it, even though the directions that came with it do not say that, and even say to protect play surfaces from liquid. I said, ok, but we don't live in Europe, can I order replacement cups? and said no, they are all made that way now, and actually told me to try looking for an older model at Big Lots, Ollies, or other closeout stores.
Have you ever seen a kid that didn't want to put water in a teacup? My daughter had it open for 10 minutes before she ran to the sink to fill it up! Then she had water all over the place! I recommend that you keeping looking if you want a fun teaset. This one would get 5 stars from me if it didn't have HOLES in it!
- Fun for kids, extremely irritating for mom
     By on 2003-10-16
This tea set is cute, durable and noisy! The tea pot plays a little tune when it is poured, fun while you are playing, torture when it is in the toy box or in some other hiding place. I cannot tell you how many times I have torn my three year old's room apart in the middle of the night to find it and shut it up. The slightest movement will set it off. If you purchase this toy, make sure that you keep it out of reach when not in use. Believe me, you do not want to play what is that God awful racket in the middle of the night with a crying toddler.
- Very durable!
     By AVOFW6XUCR8XA on 2004-10-14
Our daughter received this toy when she was 18 months old. She is now 4 years old and she still loves playing with it. It is very durable and has withstood falling on the floor many times. The musical tea pot has also lasted this long and still plays the music. Although, that can get a bit sickening after a while. ;)
All in all, a great tea set!
- A toy for the long haul...
     By A2RPBCD4IWEXEP on 2005-11-10
We recieved this tea set for our older daughter's second christmas, 4 years ago. She has used it constantly since than and is now enjoying tea parties with her baby sister, who is two. Both girls have had hours of entertainment with it! However, I must confess we removed the batteries the minute it was opened and have NEVER put them back! The song is a horrible refrain of "I'm a Little Teapot" over and over and over!! It plays every time the pot it tipped, or bumped, or dropped or moved in any way!! My in-laws brought the box in their car 4 hours and it sang most of the way...My girls don't know it's susposed to sing and have never missed it in the least!
- my daughter loves it. her grandma even wants one.
     By A1QON0C2M3TXJQ on 2006-09-20
this tea set is a lot of fun. it is durable. my daughter is 2 and a half and she tends to be hard on toys and this tea set holds up. my daughter loves to play tea party. the tea pot plays music as you pour. if you press the button on the top of the tea pot it plays "i'm a little tea pot." when Violet's grandma (my mom) came to visit she absolutely loved the tea set. it made her happy. she was laughing and saying she would like to have one, so i am ordering her one for christmas. it will make her smile and Violet and her can have tea parties at grandma's house now. this is a great tea set. the only draw back i can see at all is that all though everything fits on the tray at one time, it is very crowded. when my daughter wants to do things with out my help i just make sure all the cups and saucers aren't there at the same time, so her little hands can put everything she see's on the tray.
- VERY Sweet!
     By AR52EUJVR95FF on 2002-11-10
My 4 year old LOVES this tea set. She loves to have "tea parties" with her dolls and stuffed animals. The tea pot plays music and makes a "pouring" sound when tipped. Very nice.
- bestest tea party ever!
     By on 2003-11-23
My daughter recieved this as a gift when she was 18 months old. I was shocked at how she got the idea immediately and started serving us all tea! It is durable enough to endure a teething toddler, and the somewhat annoying musical/pouring sound lid can be removed and hidden by a parent if need be. ;)She is 2 1/2 now and still plays with the tea set practically every day. I highly recommend this product!! Good old Fisher Price....
- Wonderful! Traditional toy brought right up to date
     By A23XVF23C7BHP0 on 2004-01-12
Fisher Price rarely disappoint, and this tea set is no exception. There is the usual set of four cups, four saucers, four spoons and a tea pot, plus a milk jug and sugar bowl. What this adds is a little turntable (is it called a lazy susan?) in the middle of the tea tray on which the child can place the tea pot (or anything else they fancy spinning round!). They have also added a little mechanism in the tea pot lid which plays a little tune (The theme from Watch With Mother) when the button on the top is pressed and another to indicate that it is being tipped. This is really an excellent toy for all ages. Even after my nearly two year old has gone to bed I find myself making myself a sly cuppa just so I can hear the pouring noise!
- Squeals of Delight
     By A16EQHPF26V9YE on 2006-08-26
I ordered this teapot set and had it sent directly to my grand daughters, 3 1/2 and 5 1/2. When I called them yesterday my grand daughters were so so excited about having received this gift. I have sent them gifts often over the years, and this was the biggest hit of all. They were just enamoured with the teapot set. Sure brings joy to my heart to please them so. They are such good girls.
- LOVE IT!
     By A13DDCYF6ESE3Z on 2006-11-06
I got this for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it! We have more than one tea party set, and she loves this one the best. Makes a pouring noise, plays I'm a little teapot tune, and there are matching shapes on the cups and saucers- too cute!
- best tea set for the money
     By A1RWYE9539PVKJ on 2001-11-12
I bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter, it has a special place in our china cabinet. We serve tea all weekend and it's lovely in the center of my coffee table. She spends many hours playing with this and that alone makes it a very special purchase.Very durable and easy to clean.
- Going on Three Years of Fun
     By A2RODT7X53PN3H on 2006-04-30
My oldest daughter got this at least three years ago and not only does she still love it, but now my younger daughter is playing with it. It is the best $[...]I have spent!
This set comes with a tray that is easy for little hands to carry, four tea cups of different colors and corresponding saucers and spoons, a sugar and cream set, and a tea pot. When they tip the tea pot it plays "I'm a Little Tea Pot." Now I have to admit that once the first batteries wore out, I never replaced them. I did that for two rreasons - first, it requires the button style batteries which are expensive and second I didn't feel it was a necessary part of the toy. I really felt like my daughter played with it and loved it as an imagination toy and did not need the electronic part of it. So many toys make noise, this one didn't need to, so in my house it no longer does.
This set has been used for hundreds of tea parties in my house. I have taken it on trips and the cups served double duty as bath toys (don't put the pot in the tub). It is colorful and cute. It is just right for little hands - and it is really durable - not a chipped cup or broken handle!
- It's Tea Time...
     By A2YA7IC6PUGQ5O on 2006-08-31
This is a fun toy for a 2 year old. The pieces are big enough not to worry about chocking. The lid to our teapot has good and bad days but for the most part works. This toys will last as it's been through both of my kids.
- Slightly dissapointed with the tea set
     By A2ZSK9CLMZEIKO on 2007-08-24
I purchased this toy with my 15 month old in mind. She loves putting covers on items so I thought this tea set would combine imagination with dexterity. Its definitely not easy to put the cover on the teapot or sugar dish and its not easy to remove either. My youngest and mellowest cried with frustration. Even my daughter who is almost four, comes to me to help put on and remove the tops. Its a nice toy for imagination purposes but its unfortunate that the stem is not larger to allow more room for little fingers to manipulate the teapot and sugar dish lids.
- The best tea set I've seen
     By on 2001-10-17
This set is colorful and whimsical, yet it is very durable for such a petite toy. It stays out all the time and is perfect for pretend play. My daughter loves "hosting" a tea party and it really opens the door for imagination. We invite all of our dollies and bears and have a wonderful time together with this great toy.
- Cute but annoying
     By on 2001-10-18
We bought this for our three year old daughter. This set is very cute and will actually hold enough liquid to have a small drink. I think that Fisher Price has overstated the pouring noise. Instead of sounding like liquid pouring it is a sing songy twinkling noise. If you do not set the teapot up straight it will twinkle and twinkle and twinkle and twinkle . . .(get it?) This made wrapping it a chore.
- Still having tea parties after two years!
     By on 2003-11-08
My daughter received this as a gift for Christmas two years ago. She loved it then and still loves it now. We have had countless tea parties. She still looks for it at least 2-3 times/week. It is very durable, cute, safe for younger kids, and fun for older ones. Our batteries are still working after two years. The noise doesn't bother me as much as it bothers some other posters, but I also keep the set inside a tin in the toybox in the living room, so it may just be muffled enough that I don't notice it in my usually noisy house. Anyway, I would highly recommend it.
- AMAZONS INFLATED PRICE TAG: OUTRAGEOUS!!
     By A1YLVVA7LDZ05U on 2007-11-20
My daughter LOVES this toy. Very sturdy. Perfect chunky size.
I have one question.........WHAT IS WRONG WITH AMAZON?? They need to work on their pricing. This tea set is $14.99 everywhere else. Just come here for the reviews...........it's a great toy. Always a good gift.
