Most of us have become masters of multitasking--answering phones, checking e-mail, and reading simultaneously, and Corningware follows suit with dishes designed for the microwave, oven, tabletop, dishwasher, and refrigerator. These three serving bowls can be used interchangeably to cook, serve, and store food. The set includes three Pyrex serving bowls (3, 6, and 10 cups), ideal for salads, sauces, or leftovers. Made from sturdy Pyrex, which can be microwaved or baked (but not under the broiler!) and is dishwasher-safe, each bowl comes with a tightly fitting plastic lid. Note that the plastic lids cannot be used in the oven, and are intended only for use in the microwave or for storage. Indispensable and Invaluable

Because I often make things and bring them to family gatherings, these bowls and lids have become indispensable to me. I will NEVER get rid of them or give them away.The sculptured design is attractive, timeless, and presentable on the dining table. It's also easy to clean and doesn't hold dirt. Because I hand wash, having no dishwasher in my dinky studio apartment, this minor detail is tremendously important. I like that these are clear class with no coloring; you can easily see the contents of the bowl. The glass also doesn't stain and scratch like plastic storage containers do over time. Mine have some scratches from years of use, but nothing like the gouges you see in old plastic containers. The dark navy lids do not show stains and that's important for plastics that are used year after year. The lids still fit very well and they're easy to clean on the inside, unlike the aggravating grooves in my mother's old Tupperware containers. If I want to be certain that no leaking occurs during transport to a gathering, depending upon the contents, I cover the bowl with plastic wrap and then put the lid on. So far, so good. I happened to see this set on display at a grocery store, thought it over a bit and bought it. It's one of the best kitchen purchases I've ever made. It's unfortunate that this set has been discontinued because I consider my set to be invaluable. If you're very much the practical cook and you often bring food to gatherings, I'd suggest grabbing this set if you ever happen to see it somewhere at a good price.

I was very happy with my choice of the pyrex bowls with the lids. I liked the simple design, the weight of the glass(not too heavy)& the nice tight fitting lids. I recommend them & would buy them again.

Great sizes. Nice texture to the bowls, making them simple yet attractive for serving or storing. Lids fit well, and smooth insides make for easy cleaning.

The Pyrex name usually speaks for itself... and it does, with respect to these bowls. Nice "ribbed" design. Great for all kinds of uses.

The bowls are everything I have been looking for and more - lids, attractive for serving, good design for stirring and mixing. I just like glass so much more than plastic for storage and microwaving and these bowls are in three great sizes.

These beat the little plastic food savers all to pieces! Wish I had known about these years ago so I wouldn't have wasted money on the plastic stuff that has to be thrown away after a year's worth of stains and wear. I've even bought a set and several other pieces in the series for my mother so she can throw out some of her old beige tupperware. No more bringing a dish to parties and asking the hostess if she has something nicer to serve it in. I did knock off a star because the lid of the smallest bowl was slightly deformed and it took a pair of pliers to get it to fit on. The lip had been crushed down in two places when it was packaged at the factory(not Amazon's fault). After I actually got it on the bowl, ran it under very hot water & let it set for a couple of days it bent back into shape and has stayed that way.

I ordered this set after seeing a friend of mine with one similar. These bowls and lids have been in use since the moment I got them. They are pretty enough to go right to the table as serving pieces. I only wish I had more sizes.

CHRISTMAS PRESENTS FOR MY MOTHER. SHE ALWAYS WANTED GLASS BOWLS. PLASTIC BOWLS GET DISCOLORED, LOSE THEIR SHAPE, AND MELT IF TOO CLOSE TO HEAT. IT WAS A BONUS TO FIND GLASS BOWLS WITH THE LIDS.

nice heavy glass, no worries in microwave or dishwasher; like using them to transport food for potluck.
lids are thick and a pretty good seal, though not perfect. (but I haven't put them in the dishwasher in case they warp).
the sizes are useful for small families.

This set of 3 covered Pyrex bowls is great. You can mix a cake, store leftovers, or mix a salad to take to a party. These bowls look good enough to use for any occasion and come with their own cover.

I won't repeat all the raves others have written here -- I agree with them all. I'll just add that it is very safe to store and cook foods in GLASS containers whereas it's not in plastic containers. From now on, I will keep buying these Pyrex containers -- adding to my collection every month or so as my budget permits. They're so beautiful, and incredibly handy.
I just bought a convection oven too, and these fit perfectly in that oven! (Which is an issue with many baking pans.)
I also bought two bowls as a gift for my daughter -- it's a gift I feel proud to send because the bowls are beautiful as well as practical.

I actually got the bigger set which was a fantastic bargain at $19.99 with free shipping and no tax. And no toxins from plastic AND Made in the USA. What a feel-good purchase it was! Now as stated in some reviews, the plastic lids can be hard to get on but if you run them under hot water first.....they'll snap right on with no problem.

The set arrived on time. The small bowl's lid was damaged in the packaging and unable to use it. The other bowls and lids were in good condition.
