Super Troopersx$7.08

(191 reviews)

Best Price: $7.08

Always looking for action, five over-enthusiastic, but under-stimulated Vermont State Troopers raise hell on the highway, keeping motorists anxiously looking in their rear view mirrors. Between an ongoing feud with the local cops over whose you-know-what is bigger and the state government wanting to shut them down, the Super Troopers find themselves patrolling the boundaries of good taste as they hilariously and unwittingly skid towards solving the crime of their lives.

The fine art of handing out a freeway speeding ticket gets a deviously funny twist in this smart-alecky farce written and performed by the comedy troop Broken Lizard (consisting of Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske). These pranksters in patrol cars (led by their long-suffering commander Brian Cox) are little more than overgrown frat boys in a campus rivalry with the brawling Vermont bullies of the local police force, and they know how to have fun on the highway patrol. This skit-like collection of comic moments clumps from one scene to another like a variety show, but the gags are more hit than miss, thanks largely to terrific ensemble work and inspired motorist mind games. With a nod to such 1970s comedies as Animal House and Caddyshack, this "boys in blue just wanna have fun" farce is hardly sophisticated, just clever, raucous fun. --Sean Axmaker MPN: FOXD2004953D - UPC: 024543049531

  • Cops Rock!

In classic, Animal House style, this movie about a squad of bizarre state highway troopers is sure to entertain. While it appears to be what some may call "frat boy" humor, I find that many different kinds of people with a good sense of humor can enjoy this film.
Super Troopers is about a group of Vermont State Troopers, led by Capt. John O'Hagen (Brian Cox) whose department is in danger of shutting down. The governor (Lynda Carter) doesn't have a big budget to spend on police work, and the more professional local cops, lead by Chief Bruce Grady (Daniel von Bargen), are the more likely candidates to get the money in the upcoming budget overhaul. And, to the casual observor, it would be the right choice. The state cops have a tendancy to play games with the people they pull over; one game involves one cop repeating everything his partner says, while another has one of the troopers saying "meow" instead of "now" in an attempt to drive the pulled-over motorist crazy. And when dealing with stoned teens, they really have a blast. While officers Ramathorne (Jay Chandrasekhar), Foster (Paul Soter), Mac (Steve Lemme), and "Rabbit" Roto (Erik Stolhanske) do everything in good humor, the force's black sheep, Officer Rodney Farva (Kevin Heffernan) tends to go too far and get himself suspended and give the department a bad name (he jumped a fast food clerk for messing with him).
But when a murder on the highway is connected with a drug ring, the Super Troopers find a way to redeem themselves and get back in the governor's good graces- as long as the meddling local cops don't solve the case first.
This film is hilarious. While most of the humor is pretty "dumb", there are a few intelligent things here and there, but it is the sheer wackiness of it all that makes it great. The romance between Foster and local cop Ursula Hanson (Marisa Coughlan) is great, especially the prank call sequence. Although, for people who aren't into crude humor, this won't be your kind of movie. There is a lot of drug-based humor, some nudity, and gratuitous use of the f-word. If you can get past that, I highly reccomend this movie.

  • A Complete Surprise

    By on 2002-02-26
When I first saw the previews to this film, I felt like I stepped into a time warp back to the 80's. Was this movie trying to be Cannonball Run? Police Academy? Why? WHY?

On the recommendation of a friend, I swallowed my fears and my dislike of so-called "wacky" comedies and shelled out the cash to see Super Troopers. I was almost embarassed to even walk into the theater, but I'll tell you what...it was the best $7 I've spent in a long time.

All the other reviews of this film seem to emphasize that the movie is "slapstick," and "brainless." I'd actually disagree with that diagnosis. On the contrary, I think this is really a very smart film. Why? Beacuse it doesn't rely on formulaic plot devices, or try to squeeze in a contrived family-friendly moral(like the wretched "Orange County"). Rather, it just presents some of the most original, unexpected, laugh-out loud comedy I've ever seen. It's just plain funny--Funny beacuse you don't see the jokes, punchlines, or plot twists coming from a mile away.(Hey, "Orange County." Once again, I'm looking at you!).

If you're a fan of Kids in the Hall or the Upright Citizens Brigade, see this film. See it now. You won't be disappointed.

  • The most underrated cast and movie

    By A254Z4O7ORVL6U on 2003-02-25
I think it's safe to say that anyone who saw this movie saw it because of its trailer. No one had probably heard of the comic group "Broken Lizard", I'm sure of that. But then that's the point of the trailer. The five-man police team of Broken Lizard stars Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske; along with their ill-fated chief Brian Cox. The group, who's on the verge of having their station shut down, does pretty much whatever they please out on the road. I mean, they are cops. Maybe not good cops, but still cops. They do things ranging from highway games such as "repeater" to seeing who can say "meow" the most. And I can honestly say the first 10 minutes or so of 'Super Troopers' is the best first 10 minutes of any movie I've ever seen.

And even after the beginning, the comedy and laughs continue on throughout the movie. And in fact, the point that their station is going to be shut down doesn't even phase them. They just keep on making jokes until we (the viewer) can't handle it. The movie was said to have no plot, and that's very true. But a good plot isn't even needed. The acting is so awesome, you'll seemingly have a new respect for your local boys in blue. Okay, maybe not. I do have to say that Kevin Heffernan's role of the dense and almost stupid Farva is the best. He is basically the odd man out, as the other four officers are good friends. The lines that Farva has are so dumb that you can't help but laugh out loud.

Besides Heffernan's infamous Farva, there's Thorny (Jay Chandrasekhar), Mac (Steve Lemme), Rabbit (Erik Stolhanske), and Foster (Paul Soter). All five characters bring their own blend of comedy to the force, which is why they work so well together. The comedy they use almost seems to be like small skits; and they even manage to give Jim Gaffigan, who has done stand-up comedy on Comedy Central, a small but hilarious role as one of their many quote-unquote: victims.

I don't like to give away movie endings, even if the ending is not what makes the movie. So that's where I'll stop. If you like comedy films you'll certainly enjoy 'Super Troopers'. It is one of my favorite movies, no doubt. I gave it 5 stars, even though it didn't have a truly good plot. And it derserves 5 stars; which if you see this movie, you'll understand. Like I said, the five-man crew may or may not give you a new respect for the force; and if not you'll still laugh for the entire movie. If you saw the trailer and even thought about seeing the movie, do see it. The trailer provides for only about five percent of the movie's true, comical greatness.

  • Many many misses

There really is nothing too funny in this movie. It's the very typical "throw everything and see what sticks" attempt at comedy. I actually found myself extremely bored with the predictable slapstick and crude 'humour'. It's the very worst of frat-house attempts at laughs. The extra features of the DVD add nothing to ease the suffering of having spent any money on this trash. Get it as a free rental if you must see what the laziest, sloppiest attempt at comedy looks like.

  • A WASTE OF 3 BUCKS.

    By A1LV2HUHAB8GJW on 2003-08-01
I rented this movie last night because I had heard such great things about it and it proved the old saying "don't believe what you hear and only half of what you see." I wanted to like this movie, but at best all I can say is that it's funny in spaces and then only mildly. It never made me laugh out loud the way the original king of cop comedies "Police Academy" did in 1984. Bottom line, it had potential but never lives up to it.

  • jokes were old and stale
    By on 2004-12-12
every joke in this film was recycled. i thought the movie had no plot and i fell asleep watching it.

do not buy this movie. it is a waste of money. this movie is very boring. the acting stinks and the plot is razor thin. this movie is not even worth a rental. sorry, to the people, in the movie but it is a real piece of junk. this movie is actually one of the worst "comedy" movies i have ever seen. almost as bad as NATIONAL LAMPOON'S "GOLDDIGGERS".

  • Worthless
    By A2DVQHR6FYBSC3 on 2005-01-03
Everyone thinks Super Troopers is such a great movie. The beginning of the movie when the three stoners get pulled over is funny, but it's all downhill from there. After the stoner scene, the movie gets really tedious. Maybe Super Troopers is amusing when you're stoned off your ass, but I watched it sober, and it sucked. A great comedy should be funny even when you're sober. We now have a bunch of morons repeating the lines from this crappy movie. People, it's not funny when YOU say the lines from Super Troopers, hell they're not really funny in the first place. Anyway, this is just my personal opinion. If you wanna rate this review not helpful, go ahead, enjoy smoking your pot and chewing your mushrooms.

  • Almost as funny as it is stupid...
    By A3NUM3JIE6II0F on 2002-02-19
"Super Troopers" is almost as funny as it is stupid, and I've got to tell you, it's a pretty funny movie. It's the first movie that's made me laugh out loud repeatedly in the theater since "Best in Show".

The screenplay is almost non-existant, but as Bill Murray once said in "Meatballs," "it just doesn't matter." What makes this quirky movie work is the unresistable funniness of its cast. Kevin Heffernan, as Farva, is particularly funny. In his better moments, he's almost as naturally funny as "SCTV"-era John Candy. And that's saying a lot.

My all-time favorite comedies are the great ones of the late seventies and early eighties I grew up with as a kid--"Stripes," "Caddyshack," "Vacation," "Animal House," "Porky's," etc. I saw some of the wild exuberance of those movies in "Super Troopers".

Yeah, it's a stupid movie, but if you've got the right kind of sense of humor, it's a stupid movie that will make you laugh...very hard. What's better than that?

  • I refuse to take responsibility
    By A15TNUM2PBS6F0 on 2002-08-24
    for renting this awful movie!!
I didn't laugh once in this moronic movie.
This is strictly for men between the ages of 17 and 23, or fans of "dude where's my car"...which could relatively be close to the same audience.
I am a grown woman who appreciates comedy, and this was not funny. It was poorly written and poorly acted. It could have at least been camp, but it wasn't even that.
It's just a total waste of film.

Stay away from this one!I don't recommend it at all. I'd recommend "Police Academy" over this, and i didn't even like that all that much.

  • It's delicious!
    By A1CJK8IYTR797B on 2003-07-24
This is probably the funniest movie that I've seen in the last few years. I started watching it on cable with very low expectations, and I found myself laughing non-stop for the next hour and a half.

Basically the movie follows the antics of 5 Vermont state troopers who enjoy playing pranks on motorists, each other, and their arch-rivals, the local police. There is a loose plot having to do with a cache of drugs, and a sweet romantic sub-plot as well, but all these elements really take a back seat to the clever and good-natured humor.

One of the highlights for me is the opening sequence in which the troopers pull over and mess around with 3 stoner kids. After pulling them over, they take off without warning and then back up and order them to pull over again. The frightened and drugged-out kids don't know what to do since they're already pulled over. Probably the funniest section of the movie has to do with Officer Farva, the fat, belligerent black sheep of the Super Trooper family. Once he gets the opportunity to walk the beat after being banned, he immediately goes on a trail of terror that begins with his cruel and crude version of a Super Trooper prank and ends with him in jail in a homage to First Blood's delousing scene. It's a truly great comic performance.

I'm surprised that this movie is so polarizing, with a number of 1-star reviews peppered among all the raves. The comparisons to Police Academy seem totally off-base to me. Police Academy is filled with juvenile, obvious, ham-fisted gags, while Super Troopers humor is more diverse and effective. There's clever dialogue, gross-out humor, and physical comedy, and it all works really well. The criticisms that the plot is weak seem kind of pointless to me. Many great comedies don't have strong narratives (eg. Monty Python's movies, the Farrelly Bros' movies). It's really more of a question of whether the movie offers the laughs and quickly, and Super Trooper definitely delivers the goods in this area.

  • Astonishingly Bad on Every Possible Level
    By A5TZXWU8AALIC on 2003-12-31
If this movie was like most horrendous comedies, it could be dismissed for its lame jokes and complete lack of timing along with its bad acting.

But it really distinguishes itself by having NO POSSIBLE CONNECTION to the real world or law enforcement or anything. Do they know ANYTHING about the police or highway patrolmen? Apparently just recycling the Delta vs. Omega scenario from ANIMAL HOUSE while putting everyone in uniform is enough.

I don't know which world would find this movie funny, but it ain't this one.

  • A solid comedy and a substantial DVD
    By A2OWYWDJ752MSS on 2002-08-08
Super Troopers presents itself as an odd goofball comedy that has only one real purpose- to make you laugh. Thankfully, the movie fulfills this promise, and how.

Generally, movies scripted by comedy troupes can be trusted to entertain. A look at Monty Python and the Holy Grail or the Kids in the Hall's Brain Candy should validate this point. Broken Lizard (the fledgling troupe behind Super Troopers) continue this tradition of hilarious skits centered around a simple plot.

The basic premise of the film involves Vermont Highway Patrol troopers who, due to the lack of crime, find creative ways of alleviating their boredom- mainly, messing with pulled-over drivers (such as the should-be-famous "meow" scene) and brawling with the local police force.

The jokes constantly remain fresh, and the film even manages to defy the greatest of comedy film curses by never getting boring. Super Troopers is also loaded with some great gags and one-liners not appropriate enough for advertising. (Such as any scene involving the Germans, each one of them greatly funny.)

The DVD is, while not great, definately good. A substantial amount of extras are included containing several extended scenes, and alternate ending, outtakes, trailers, and shameless promotions. (The outtakes aren't what you think they are, and, I'll admit, are a little boring, but stick through it because the Farva Puking segment is priceless.)

Also included are two commentary tracks featuring members of Broken Lizard, the standard scene selections, and some rather impressive menus. (On the main menu, just watch for 30-40 seconds for the butterfly- you'll thank me.)

To sum up, Super Troopers is exactly what it tries to show itself as- nothing groundbreaking or innovational, but still an incredibly smart, and most importantly, fun comedy.

  • Super Looser
    By A33YWF48IYWZ6H on 2002-08-29
I love comedy, especially when it comes to spoofing known agencies and corporations, etc. However, I hung my head in absolute shame for the guy that produced this inane piece of garbage. My mind reels at the thought that someone actually put up the money (and it couldn't have been much) to put this atrocity of comedy on film. The acting (if there was any) was pitiful right along with the lame jokes and god awful punch lines. I only rated this as one star as I couldn't find a lower rating. Stay away from this one.

  • Hilarious
    By A3JCWR2HVDE4BL on 2002-07-17
Okay, it does LOOK dumb. I didn't think I was going to like it at all, but it was the only thing playing by the time my friends and I made it to the movie theater...so, I watched it. Thank God! Super Troopers is absolutely hilarious. It's the funniest movie I've seen in a long, long time. The writing is extremely funny and the acting was top-notch, especially for a bunch of guys I hadn't seen act before. This film is definitely on it's way to being a cult classic. I, for one, just ordered the DVD and will be anticipating the moment when I can invite my friends over, pop it in the DVD player and light one up. ;)

  • I wish I could give it zero stars!
    By A28A6CUDRXQ9XM on 2002-08-08
I usually love stoner stupid movies and was looking forward to seeing this movie. It is by far the worst movie I have ever seen. The writing is horrid and the acting is ridiculous. Save your time please!!! Rent 'Dude, Where's My Car' instead! Now thats funny!

  • Great comedy with hilarious cast
    By A2Q13PHEXGR48Q on 2003-11-16
Super Troopers is a great movie that will no doubt have you laughing throughout. The story follows the efforts of five Vermont highway patrol officers and their captain. Because of certain budget cuts, the station may be shut down forcing them to transfer to another station. The officers know they have to do something big or else they could all lose their jobs. Their opportunity arises when a murder and a drug trafficking ring is linked together. All the while, the highway patrol is battling nearby local police for control of the area. This is a very funny movie with an excellent ensemble cast. The best part of the movie is the routines the guys have that they use to mess with people when they pull them over on the road. Some of the other routines are just as funny like the bulletproof cup and Rabbit's diversion late in the movie.

Super Troopers has an excellent ensemble cast that works great together. Brian Cox plays the veteran captain trying to keep his men together and is very good especially the last half hour. The five officers are played by Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Eric Stolhanske as Thorny, Foster, Mac, Rabbit, and Favra. The DVD offers theatrical trailers, widescreen format, extended scenes, deleted scenes with commentary, outtakes, an alternate ending, and a featurette. Super Troopers is a vastly underrated comedy that is hilarious from beginning to end. Don't miss Super Troopers!

  • A Rating of Zero Not Allowed
    By A2SKEQT0WTB954 on 2004-01-27
If a zero rating were allowed, that is what this poor excuse for a comedy would get. I love comedies and have seen few I did not like a great deal... this is one of them. Even saying I smiled a few times would be a stretch... It is so poorly written that I do not know how a studio could make it. Considering this, the actors did the best they could, but it was a hopeless disaster after a great opening scene. It goes downhill from there all the way into the septic tank.

  • I'm probably the only one who hates this
    By A3F3QQNI6PJ8FB on 2004-07-28
I usually like senseless comedies, but this movie is junk. Pure, pointless garbage. This movie starts out funny, but it starts steadily declining until it's rapidly going downhill. It goes from hilarious to being just short of something you would burn as a fuel source. It probably wouldn't burn well either if it can't stay funny for more than the first half hour. I almost did not enjoy this movie at all. I only found the first 30 minutes entertaining. The rest of it is TOO senseless and TOO pointless. Some of the scenes make NO sense at all(like the naked doll on top of the police car near the end, and part where those two people are jumping on the bed doing SOMETHING and the guy keeps fussing at them). This is senseless trash. Rent it if you still wanna see it and have an opinion of your own, but make sure before you waste your money on this garbage.

  • This could be the worst movie I've ever seen.
    By A1FPNVS29CHLGE on 2002-02-20
In this day of high ticket prices, I feel it is necessary to watch the entire movie. However, this movie was so terrible, that I left 3/4 of the way through it. The humor was below any intelligent level, and the plot was virtually non-existent. I would say avoid this movie now, and tune out when it comes out on cable in 2 months.

  • My New Cult Classic
    By A25VWZTZR8GKMN on 2002-08-24
I took my little brother to Super Troopers in the theater in the perfect state of mind - low expectations - which I highly recommend. I died laughing! Then I went again with a buddy and I died laughing again. I ended up seeing it again with him and his wife along with another couple and now it filters through random conversations we have. Lines like "I can't pull over any further...I'm already pulled over", "It smells like sex in here", "that little guy... I wouldn't worry about that little guy" and "I want a liter of cola" - totally crack us up. I bought the DVD the first day it came out (I only own one other DVD so this isn't a normal thing for me) and I've watched it again 3 times including last night, it's become one of those movies for me where I look forward to each scene and start laughing just thinking about it.

I'll have to say that I know a couple of people who saw Super Troopers and didn't like it. But I think it's more that they wouldn't like any movie in this "genre". So in my perspective - if you like Office Space, Caddyshack, Airplane, you'll be down with Super Troopers.

  • MOVE THAT GIGANTIC COTTON CANDY
    By AM9CAM6XHYU35 on 2003-05-26
Disclaimer: This is not a "The Story Begins With..." movie. The plot is incidental. No one dies, discovers themselves, becomes a man/woman through struggle, or learns how true love feels. 'Dude, Where's My Car?' has a more solidly aligned plot. Tax, tags, title extra.

Everyone should have that one friend who is overly sarcastic with bone-dry wit. If you do not, then you may not have an appreciation for this movie. Broken Lizard has assembled numerous scenes forced into a poor "boy meets girl" and "corrupt law enforcement" plotline. These scenes are individually funny, proving that this is simply top-notch sketch comedy. Each "joke" is simply a razor-sharp wit battle between characters (minus Farva) that doesn't wait for the laugh track to kick in.

There is no plot synopsis because there is no plot. Unfortunately, some people who have seen this are inflicted with Smartest Guy in the Room syndrome (a rare infliction which forces the sufferer to see his/her opinion as correct and the 100 opposing opinions as incorrect.) If you don't like the content of "R" rated material, don't see this. If you require 2 hours of pre-recorded audio and video to change your life, look elsewhere. If you have that friend that never smiles, yet leaves all around him/her in tears and cramping, buy this movie. As another viewer deftly observes, it gets funnier each time. Soon, you too will be offering moustache rides to acquaintances and fitting "Meow" into unknown song lyrics and conversations. Fare thee well.

  • Less than the sum of its parts
    By A333J214SI1VFZ on 2003-11-19
A friend of my wife recommended this to me, insisting it was the funniest thing she'd ever seen. I'm not convinced.

This movie is ok; not great but ok. Not the funniest thing ever made or the greatest comedy of the last 30 years. The opening scene is funny - it then tails off from there.

Ok so I know that the plot is allowed to be absurd but I got the feeling the movie didn't know into which genre it wished to be placed. Was it straight comedy, slapstick, black comedy or what?

Watch it and laugh a couple of times. Then take it back to Blockbuster.

  • Funny!
    By A35XMSURGM0L1N on 2004-02-22
This movie is about a group of State Highway Patrol Troopers in Vermont who are in a constant struggle with the local cops to keep their job because the station might be closed soon.
To keep patrolling interesting they do stupid pranks as asking the same question over and over again, saying meow in every sentence and two cops repeating each other.
The pranks are stupid but also very funny. The opening scene might be the best when they pull over three kids smoking pot. I have a feeling the movie is also better when you do that.

there are so many "comedies" out there these days that just dont make you laugh like you should. But fear not, this movie goes above and beyond the normal expectations. This movie is by far my favorite comedy movie ever. if you havn't seen this movie and you like comedies...you suck for not having seen it yet. Do your self a favor and put on your adult diapers so you can piss yourself while laughing super hard at these super troopers

  • Hilarious comedy that never lets up
    By A1W0ODR0SK9H4R on 2005-01-02
Super Troopers is one of those movies that no matter how many times you watch it, you're still going to think it's funny. It's the story of 5 Vermont State Troopers fighting to keep their station open. They then go into a war with the Local Police who seem to try to take credit for everything they do, or sabatage their progress. After a while though things about the local cops start to get suspicious, and it seems something that's not exactly legal may be going on with them. The movie is written by "Broken Lizard", a team of 5 writers who play the five state troopers in the movie.

The best part of the movie by far is the characters. The 5 state troopers are each unique and different, and are absolutely hilarious.Among them you have Rabbit, the rookie cop who doesn't really know that much about his job yet, Mac the crazy one who will do absolutely anything, Foster the one with a love affair going on with the local cop Ursula, and of course Farva the funniest part of the entire movie. It also seems that the troopers don't take their job seriously, as they like to pull pranks on their unlucky traffic victims, like saying meow ten times to a driver who's been pulled over, no wonder their station is being shut down. However if you buy this movie for only one thing, you have to buy it for Officer Rob Farva. He is perhaps the funniest character I've ever watched. The things he says and does are just outrageously funny, and you could very well picture this guy being a state trooper. If you watch the credits after the movie, you see Farva's famous school bus incident which is talked about in the movie. One of my favorite things that Farva does is when they are at a dinner party, he says to Mac "hey you wanna go hit for hit?" and Mac hits him downstairs. All Farva can say "Oh I did not specify". Haha. The pranks and other gags are also very funny, and enough to keep you entertained for the hour and a half or so the movie lasts. The underlying story isn't that bad either.

If you like comedies, I don't see how you couldn't like Super Troopers. It's definitely one of the funniest I've ever seen. I think the people who don't like it either read into it too or expect something else, and the movie never really gets a fair chance with them. Officer Rod Farva is definitely worth the price of admission though, and this one is much better than
    "Broken Lizard"'s latest "Club Dread"

  • In one word - BORING!
    By A2VJUBBKFJNVMF on 2006-01-11
Either I was way too sleepy, or this was one of the most boring movies I ever tried to sit through. The slapstick wasn't even worthy of one 'ha' let alone a belly laugh. Definitely not worth purchasing for your DVD collection. I would definitely rent it first and decide for yourself. As for me, I wish I would not have boughten it.

  • Excuse me, are you saying meow?
    By A1VCPMT1RRS7K0 on 2006-02-08
This group of comedians (called Broken Lizard) remind me of "The State": the team of actors who went on to make "Wet Hot American Summer". They're a unique grouping and they've created a unique brand of comedy. Super Troopers is one of those movies that you might find yourself quoting afterwards. There are some really funny scenes and some truly hilarious lines.

Our boys battle it out with the local police using fraternity-type tactics and mentality. It's an entertaining ride and there is not a stretch of any more than a minute or so during the movie that something funny doesn't occur.

My favorite character has to be Farva, though. He is such a buffoon and so funny in his idiocy.

If you have a sick sense of humor like me, you'll definitely appreciate Super Troopers. It's a very off-beat and funny little movie that shows us into the lives of a state trooper's department somewhere in Vermont. To protect and serve has no meaning here...it's about making us laugh. The plot is about this department trying to save themselves from being shut down due to budget constraints. They desperately need to prove that they are still needed so they don't lose their jobs. So they write lots of speeding tickets, but a drug bust could be their ticket to job salvation. However when you go along for the ride with these troopers, you're in for much more than car chases (yes, you get those too). You get stoned college kids (and I won't ruin it by detailing more...awesome), the repeater, meows, speeding Porsches, syrup chugging, and a ton of wacky little pranks along the way. I could go on all day about Super Troopers but I feel it's a total disservice to someone who has never seen it. I absolutely love this movie and recommend it to anyone who needs a little more silliness in their lives, who loves to laugh and who wants a different comedy than the mainstream things you typically see mass produced by Hollywood where they practically beg of you to find things funny. Super Troopers is just one of those movies I wish they made more of. Enjoy!
