• A TON OF FUN!

  I got this set for my daughter for her 3rd birthday. She loves it! There is a bunch of stuff in it. Everything that's in my makeup bag has a duplicate now in her's so she stays out of my stuff! The hairdryer is a real hit, too. It's really heats but doesn't blow very hard. She hasn't figured out the curling iron just yet, but I say she'll have that figured out in no time. The brushes aren't real, like another reviewer noted, however, this doesn't seem to matter to my daughter. She loves them just the same. The lids stay on the nail polish and lipstick really well, so you don't have to worry about them falling off and getting lost. You can really squeeze the pump on the fake perfume. And I don't know what that other reviewer was talking about, but I never expected the eyeshadow to be real. My daughter is only three and does not need real eyeshadow. I specifically made sure the eyeshadow was fake. If it was real, I wouldn't have purchased this set. It's just what she needs to make her feel like she's really putting on makeup. I think it's a great set. And the price was great, too.

  Great product for thwe little girly girl. All parts are fake but look just like the real version. My daugther is 2 and had really enjoyed "Painting my toe nails and finger nail".

  I got this play set for my 2 year old daughter who loves to get into my makeup. She LOVED this toy so much she hasnt put it down since we got it. She has to take it everywhere we go. But the only thing i didnt like was how hard it was to open up the compact. I could barely get it open for her. But overall it was a great toy

  My 2-year-old and 5-year-old daughters received this and they love it! They love to imitate me when I'm doing my own hair and make-up. They received a "real" make-up kit in the past which was awful--it made a mess and ended up on walls, clothes, and the floor. This is entirely pretend so therefore makes no mess at all and is great for little imaginations!

  I bought this in addition to the barbie head and it is wonderful fun! The hair dryer runs on batteries and it sounds real. It is a great addition to the barbie head because that alone doesn't come with much for kids to keep occupied but this does!

  my 3 yr. old recieved this as a gift. and true to the other reviews, it was a hit! my girl loves to pretend to put on her makeup and do her hair. the only disappointment was the makeup brushes. they are just stiff plastic. keep an eye on all the little pieces though, as ours tend to get lost easily. overall great pretend makeup that does not stain anything.

  I got this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. She will be 5 next week and she has never tired of this set. It has held up perfectly and brought us hours of fun. I have never even had to change the hair dryer batteries! Now, we have another daughter who is almost 2 and she loves to play with it too.
  The brush tips are hard plastic like everthing else in this set. The only thing I would change would be to maybe make the make up brushes have soft tips with real bristles, but its not a big deal.

  This is wonderful! My daughter loves to play with this. There is no mess from the other playmakeup out there. I dont have to worry about it ending up on my walls or furniture, OR my daughter "dressing up" when we are about to leave to go somewhere. I am buying more of these for gifts and replacement parts for the kit my daughter has. I LOVE THIS!
  
  
• this toy is not worth the money

  I bought this toy from target, it didnt come with te lipsticks or the compact but its the exact same thing, its a waste of money. My 3 year old absolutely had to have this toy so we bought it. When you look at it quick you think oh a makeup set alright. Then when you take a better look its ohh the make up brushes are all plastic not even real. The eyeshadow, all plastic too, well at least she can use the kleenex, okay once bcz theres only one piece! Im completely dissapointed and now that shes had it not even a week and it just sits there its going back to the store,. but hey i guess the nailpolish wont spill...
  
  
  
• Just what I was looking for.

  This was purchased for my 2 year old daughter (Package says for 3+, need to use your discretion). My daughter is at the age where she loves to follow me around the house and try to do everything that she sees me doing. This play set is great because everything is fake and there is no mess! Definitely worth the purchase, the night we bought it she played with it for 3 hours. Since then, it gets used on a daily basis...she will see me using the hair dryer and she will get hers (the pretend dryer really makes sounds, so she feels like big stuff)the same thing goes when she sees me put on make up and use nail polish. My only complaint is one of the fake brushes has a pointed tip that my daughter scratched her face with, so I threw it out. Overall, this was a product that fit my needs. Great practice for her until she is old enough for the real stuff!

  My daughter received this for Christmas and it's one of her favorite toys. It's also a big hit when we have playdates over. They end up fighting over the real-sounding hair dryer. Perfect for pretend play and now she'll stay out of my stuff!

  After scouring the internet looking for a cute pretend makeup set, I finally found this one.
  
  My Likes:
  -The makeup's pretend! Yea! No mess! And my daughter doesn't even care!
  I guess her imagination is awesome!(She's 3)
  -The lids on the nail polish come off and there's a little brush on it
  (it's plastic, but its bendable)
  -The blowdryer works
  -It keeps my daughter entertained for quite awhile
  
  My Dislikes:
  -The brushes are plastic. BUT they are bendable (except for the bigger
  blush brush)
  
  Overall this is a really adorable toy. I wished it came with a tote, but I went to the dollar store and bought my daughter a makeup bag to put it all in and a set of real brushes. She thinks she is so grown up!

  I bought this for my (almost 4 year old) daughter because she has been really into makeup. She has borrowed some things from the neighbor, and often asks if she can put on nail polish or makeup. (Sometimes I let her put on nail polish.) The real makeup was messy, and I bought this in hopes that she would like it instead of the real stuff. I also have a 1 1/2 year old, and I was worried that she would get into the real makeup and make a mess.
  
  Well, my daughter takes it EVERYWHERE and has given everyone she meets a makeover. She is thrilled and so am I. It has only been a week, but I think it is well worth the purchase. I bought the in-store version (with no curling iron or compact, and only 1 lipstick) and that seems to be good enough. Although if I had known, I might have bought this one instead.

  The Barbie Hair Accessory Set is a good deal, with lots of different items to play with. My daughter likes the hair dryer, which makes a real hair dryer sound when she turns it on. So far, the set seems fairly durable. The lids falls off of the eye shadow often, but other than that it is holding up after about a couple weeks of play.

  I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas 2007. She was just over 2 years old at the time. She really likes this set and plays with it almost everyday. The working hair dryer is really cute and all the nail polish tops actually come off so she can pretend she is really painting toes. The makeup is realistic but not real(as stated in some other reviews). It would have been nicer if it had a carrying case with it but we just purchased a clear storage container with a lid and handle and now it is her "beauty kit" that we put some other "beauty" items in with this set. Good value for this set. Yes I would recommend. Small pieces require you to be careful if you have younger ones.

  Daughter really likes this set. She is always in my makeup and loves that she has her own. Her favorite items in the set are the real sounding hair dryer and the compact with makeup sponge.

  My 3 year old loves this kit. She plays with it every single day. I like it because it comes with both hair and makeup accessories and is durable. The only complaint I have, my daughter can not open the compact.

  Gave it to my 2.5 year old niece along with a stylin head. She loves the hairdryer with it's realistic sounds. She sits next to her mom as she does her hair and make-up and pretends to do the same with all the accessosries. It's very cute. I highly recommend this for any little girl!
