• My Son LOVES this toy!

  I was quite surprised to see this toy on the BRU website because my son got it for his 1st birthday from his Aunt who lives in England. This tractor is so cool. It sings Old McDonald when you press on the farmer, the lights flash and horn honks when you press on the horn and it moves forward by itself when you press the orange steam valve on top. There are buttons on the tractor so when you put the appropriate animal in it's place is makes the animal sounds.

  He immediately caught on, on how to make the tractor go. He loves the animals and this is the first toy he goes to every day. If it broke, I would have to purchase a replacement. Great Toy!

  My son loved this toy also. HOWEVER, this morning as he was playing he started coughing. I looked over to find the small hand piece missing off the farmer. When initially examining the toy upon purchase all the pieces appeared safe for a toddler as the package indicated. Obviously that is not the case as one hand piece had come off completely. I plan to contact the manufactor, however I strongly caution anyone who chooses to purchase this toy. As fun as it may seem it is obviously a choking hazard.

  As cute as this is and as much as my son loves it, you should be warned that this toy is obnoxiously loud. I would give it five stars otherwise, but the volume issue is too great.

  My son receieved this as a 1st birthday gift and he loves it. IT was his favorite gift from that day onwards. He loves to push the buttons that make animal noises and copies them (oink and moo especially). He also loves when it sings "old macdonald has a farm" and the horn makes him giggle for some reason. He plays with it every single day and has done so for the last 2 months. Its the toy I grab when he's upset and it makes him smile every time !

  We gave this to our 15 month old boy for Christmas last year, and he loved it. Once he opened it, he wouldn't play with any other toys he opened. Almost a year later, its still one of his favorite toys. He loves having Old MacDonald sing, pressing the animals down to make their sounds, and, msot importantly, having the tractor move on its own. My only SLIGHT complaints about this toy is that the animals don't stay in place very well... and I do agree that its a very noisy toy. Otherwise, I'd give it five stars.
  
  
• Very pleased with this toy for my 1-yr old

  I thought the quality of this product was excellent. The toy has appeal for my 12 month old daughter and as her fine motor skills and comprehension develop I think she'll get more out of it too. The animal noises and the tractor noises are convincing and the forward motion of the tractor thrilled my daughter. She quickly grasped the need to press the buttons to move the tractor and make noise; the placement of the animals into their allotted footprints to make their designated noise will take longer, but for now she enjoys watching her 4-yr old sister or 39 -yr old mother do that for her.
  
  
• Entertaining and Educational

  My daughter got this for her 12 month old birthday and she loves it. She loves the song Old McDonald and wants to play it over and over again as she dances to it. The animals are great for her to learn the noises but mostly to identify the animal. I'll tell her to go get the horse and she'll come back with it! It also goes great with the Baby Einstein video Baby McDonald because they use that toy in it and she recognizes it and will go push the button to make the song. Our daughter loves it and has had it for 2 months now and has not gotten bored with it.

  Not only did my 1 year old love this toy when he got it, (as did his big sister) but he has been riding around the house on it for over a year and it is still in good shape! He thinks the trailer is great for sitting on and pushes himself around on it. (And he weighs 25 pounds!) The mechanism for moving itself forward automatically finally gave out recently due to his misuse, but he doesn't seem to mind. The animals are all included. (One person seems to have gotten an open package.)

  My 11 month old absolutely LOVES this toy. Once he figured out how to make it move he won't stop playing with it. I don't think that it is a loud toy but if you are noise sensitive you might. The reason why I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 is I wish the figures were not made out of hard plastic but something a little more pliable since my son tries to chew on them. Overall a Great toy!

  My son loves this tractor. He loves the fact that it "drives" and all the various animal sounds and of course "Old MacDonald song." He plays with it daily. Great toy. Compared with many other trucks (especially Tonka), I don't find it too loud--I think it is cute.
  
  
• where are the animals?

  The star ratings I put down don't express how much fun my 3 year old son and my one year old daughter are having with the toy. In theory it is great. One major problem though, where are the animals? Only the farmer is included and I don't know where to buy the anumals from. So there are holes where each animal is to be placed and buttons that makes an animal sound in the hole but no animals. Also, for [the money] I would think they would be included.

  My son is nearly 2 and I bought this toy as he is really into farms & farms animals. He absolutely loved it! There has never been a toy that has captured his attention as much. He dances to the "Old MacDonald" tune, and loves the animals - he even takes them in the tub with him!

  As irritating as toys with noises can be....my daughters both LOVE this toy. They love the old macdonald song and pretending like they are driving as well as riding it themselves.
  
  
• A Good Solid Toy

  My son received this tractor as a gift for his first birthday. He dislikes toys that make electronic sounds, and this was no exception, so we removed the batteries. With those gone my son now plays with it every day. He loves to push it around and move the animals and farmer in and out. We sing "Old MacDonald" to him and make the animal noises ourselves. The wide flat trailer works great; when he doesn't line the feet of the animals up perfectly they still stay roughly where he wants them.
  
  Sometimes it can be hard to find toys that aren't all about the lights and noises; this one is still a lot of fun for our son without them.
  
  
• What would we do without this tractor??

  We have had two of these. The first one was my brother's- he has twin boys and they beat up this tractor for a few years. He sent it to us and we finally sent it to tractor heaven. But not until we'd had it for a while. I'd say it has endured 2-3 years of boys abusing it... it went through a lot and kept ticking! Thus, we have bought a new one. This toy is a blast. The animal sounds are realistic, the tractor makes beeping sounds and sings Old McDonald, but none of the sounds are loud. Too many toys are so loud anymore, I can't stand that- do toy manufacturers think all kids can't hear well?? Anyway, it is a truly durable, fun toy that my 2 year old has loved for a year and I think he'll be into it for a good while longer.

  I got this for my daughter for her first birthday. We saw it on the Baby Einstein video and she always pointed at it. It is easy to push around. The animals are easy to hold. We live on a farm so the tractor and animals are a hit. It sings Oh Mac Donald Had A Farm. Great toy.

  I bought this toy for my nephew christmas of 05 and he still loves it he takes the animals out and shows them to people and mimics the sound they make, it is so adorable, and would definatly recommend this toy!!

  My son received this at about 9 months and still loves it at his 2nd birthday. It has been very durable, and considering how much he plays with it, I am surprised how long the batteries last. We have lots of tractor toys and this is definitely the favorite!

  Yes, it makes noise and animal sounds but my 1 year old son really loves it! It is very cute the way it moves along the floor and I don't feel the sounds are that obnoxious as not to buy it. When your kids love it you will too!

• Love this toy - great for little ones and older kids

  My son just received this for his first birthday, and it is a big hit with him and his brother. There are lots of things to push, each of the animals and the farmer have a different shape so there is a little matching involved. When you push on each animal, it makes the appropriate sound, and pushing on the exhaust pipe starts up a (slightly annoying) song and the tractor drives forward.
  
  Most electronic toys for little ones are annoying, especially after the 30th time the sounds play. I find that a small piece of tape over the speakers does wonders for reducing the annoyance level

  This toy has qualities that make it both entertaining and educational for the young set. How exciting that the child can hear the sounds for each of the animals in the wagon. As farming becomes more distant from today's children, this toy can help in teaching more about the farm. My 3-year old granddaughter connected with the toy so well that she even wanted the animals to watch her eat breakfast.
  The funtime tractor has become an immediate favorite for the 1-year and 3-year old who were the recipients of this gift. I made my purchase based on recommendations from others and was very pleased!
