    (7 reviews)
Best Price: $9.93
"Meet Kipper™, a lovable dog with a big imagination!" The Purple Park Monster: Tiger is searching for a monster in the park, even though Kipper says there is no such thing. But when they set a trap, the monster they capture is someone they know quite well! The Robot: Clank! Clank! When a friendly robot makes a surprise appearance at the pond, Kipper takes it home where it eats everything in sight – including his favorite toy, Hippo! The Dinosaur: After jumping in puddles, Kipper and Tiger have fun making footprints with their muddy boots. But when they spy a huge footprint, they wonder who – or what – made it? Jake’s Friend: Jake introduces Kipper and Tiger to his friend, Wilbur. Even though Wilbur is invisible to them, they pretend to see him, too. But they soon begin to wonder if Wilbur really does exist! The Ball: Knock-knock! Kipper opens the front door and discovers a ball. He soon finds out that it’s not an ordinary ball and has a life of its own. Even Arnold has fun playing with it! Flying Machine: When Kipper discovers old bits and pieces lying around, he decides to make a flying machine. What would be more useful on a hat day though – a flying machine or another type of invention? Approx. Run Time: 60 minutes
The animated British pup and his buddies tackle monsters, dinosaurs, robots, aliens, flying machines, and invisible friends in these seven stories from the Nick Jr. series based on Mick Inkpen's books. Of course, the monsters and dinosaurs don't turn out to be real and the balloon-powered machine needs a steep hill to get off the ground in this gentle 54-minute program. But, to the delight of young viewers, the imaginary friend and the aliens are quite genuine, balls bounce of their own accord, and cookies rain down from outer space. The characters are quietly droll, the situations harmlessly absurd, and the message of friendship and consideration unmistakable. Less cloying than some of its competitors, this series will spark the imaginations of children aged 2 to 6, without annoying their parents. --Kimberly Heinrichs

Not this one By A26QO5IB1UWM7Y on 2002-08-15
My son LOVES Kipper. He likes to watch the videos at night when he's winding down but not this one. It scares him. He doesn't like the Robot, the park monster or the dinosaur. He isn't usually scared of things. He watches Scooby Doo. Whenever I put this one in, he says "Not this one, it's mean." (???)
A video kids & parents can watch over & over & over again! By AUQPDRQTLVYE8 on 2003-12-30
My 4 year old son is not allowed to watch TV. Instead he watches educational and fun videos. He has the entire Kipper collection, and is eagerly awaiting the next release in January. Of all his videos (Thomas, Barney, Bob the Builder and Trains) this is the one he watches the most frequently and loves the most. He likes me to watch with him and as any parent knows, that can be very trying on a parent's sanity after the 750th time. Not so with Kipper, he still makes me (the mom) laugh, even though I know the dialogue by heart. The thing I love the most about this character is that Kipper has taught my son how to deal with all sorts of situations in a positive manner. I've watched him in playground situations where he's used Kipper's words to express his displeasure at unfairness without being mean to the other child. This alone was worth the money I spent on this video. Don't hesitate, buy it, you will both love it!
If it were available on DVD it would be 5 Stars By A37PV5GMP2ILJC on 2003-08-13
Another excellent set of stories, this time encouraging children to use their imagination.Even though some of the stories deal with scary subjects like monsters and dinosaurs, these are revealed very quickly to be harmless, and only very timid children would have a problem. There are also stories about an imaginary friend, a flying machine, a robot from outer space, and a very smart ball. Grown ups will observe that Arnold, although just a toddler piglet, is very aware of what is going on, and in many of the stories is a lot more knowledgeable than the others give him credit for. Excellent viewing for toddlers, as well as the parents who watch videos with them.
As usual Kipper is an automatic classic By A3QQQI6CEKPWJV on 2002-07-17
My 3 year old son enjoys most all the Kipper videos and has picked up the cute British accent that goes with watching them over and over again. He likes the "The Robot" and "The Park Monster" out of all on this tape. I would recommend this and all Kipper videos for toddlers.
Some Scary Parts! By A1KITQ9CBRXRP6 on 2003-03-16
My 2 year old son absolutely loves Kipper the Dog. He watches it every single day. This tape however is probably his least favorite. The first three parts are about monsters, dinasours, and a robot (which causes him to scream as soon as he sees it) but we just fast forward and he loves the rest of the tape!
