  • Our baby loves it! Great for driving the baby around too!

    By A1IANEBSMVGHS9 on 2004-02-09
We've given this toy a spin, and put it in our car's handle for hanging clothes, for times when we drive with the baby in the back, and it's proven to be very useful in soothing him at times when he gets cranky because he loathes being strapped in his car seat. The sound of the chimes is very relaxing to him (and to us too, it should be said). It's one of those toys that he gives us a smile back to, when he kicks it or we swing it for him.

  • Perfect for very young babies

    By A12C0UER29529W on 2005-05-16
I wanted a toy to hang from my month-old daughter's play gym. The toys she already had hanging there gave her stuff to look at, but at her young age, not much to actually do. All she could really manage was to bat the toys around, and none made any noise when she did this. I bought the wind chime hoping to give her at least some sort of "reward" for her batting efforts. I wasn't disappointed! The chime rings with the slightest touch, and the sound is sweet and melodious - I don't get tired of hearing it (and neither, it seems, does my daughter). It *is* a little expensive at about $10 compared to other hanging toys, which is why I haven't yet invested in another one to hang on her carseat/stroller. However, the price is really the only downside I've found - overall, this is a fabulous toy for even the smallest of babies.

  • Beware of the center flowers pink foil!!!!

    By on 2003-06-04
I got this product for my son when he was 2 mos. he loved them
they are very cute and make the nicest sounds. However.... today I realized that the center orange flower with the shiny pink foil on it peals, and he had obviously ate some of it. I easily scratched some of it off with my finger nail. I called Tiny Love & they have had other complaints so they are going to remake them with a plastic cover over the foil. I am sending mine back. The customer service rep. did say it was non-toxic, but I don't want my son to have a toy that peals off and he can injest. I thought I'd write a review to warn others. Like the other people who gave this product 5 stars I thought it was a great product until today.

  • My Then 3 Month old Actually "Chose" this toy!

    By on 2003-07-04
My then 3 month old (Now 4 month old) Literally picked out this toy. I was just sifting through different activity gym toys, when I picked this one up she squealed in delight. I wasn't sure it was b/c of the toy and set it down and started to walk away and she began to cry. As soon as I picked it back up and moved it around she was happy again. A month later and this is hands down her favorite thing to play with!! (Aside from mommy and daddy ofcourse) It doesn't matter if it is at her feet or by her hands she kicks or bats away at it. She even learned to grab and hold things early. I totally give credit to this toy! Not to mention it is a very pleasant sound for me to listen to as well! Great Toy! Don't hesitate to buy this one! (Mine does have the plastic covering over the pink sparkly center of the flower)

  • Great toy!!!!!

    By ASSFK8GPSARP5 on 2003-07-26
My son has loved this from day one. It is the only thing that has kept him happy in his car seat/carier. When he was very small and all he could do was sit there, the soothing sounds and bright colors held his attention. Then he got a little older and had a great time kicking and batting at it. Now he can grab it and shake it. He also loves to chew on the soft toys on the ends. It is very plesent to listen to. This is the best money I ever spent on a toy.

  • LOVE it!
    By on 2003-11-14
My son got this when he was first born from my mother-in-law. At first I didn't think much of it until she came to babysit for us when he was two months and promptly attached it to his play mat. He was so enthralled by kicking it - he would lay there for a long time just listening to the music coming out of the chimes and watching how they would move around from his kicks (and nothing ever caught his attention for that long before).

When he got a little older, he loved to start using his hands to manipulate the chimes. He would hold onto the bird or flowers and just ring the chimes back and forth. This actually saved us on a car trip as I sat in the back with him and held the chime toy over his carrier so he could play instead of being fussy.

With his zealous love for this toy, he did pull out one of the flowers which I couldn't figure out how to put back in. But the toy is pretty strong.

As he's 9 months now, the interest in the toy has diminished, but we now can't pass up a real wind chime without reaching out to touch and ring it.

  • Fun for baby!
    By A1GLDFIG0HN875 on 2006-01-31
My son has a good time with this toy. I attatched it to his Baby Einstein play gym/mat and he kicks it around a lot more now that he's discovered he's got feet. I think it has helped him get a little more coordinated with his feet because I've caught him a few times trying to use both of them to pinch one of the chimes together and bring it up to his hands--probably so he can stick it in his mouth. Talk about flexibility! The chimes are made of hollow, thin metal, and are attached by soft fabric. The chimes make soft, soothing sounds, which is good because some toys are noisy-loud-irritating. One time, he was kicking so hard that I was afraid he'd smack himself in the head/face with the metal part of the chimes and hurt himself. This is the only part that concerned me about this product, but it didn't seem to bother my son and he's had it for 3 months already and has been bruise-concussion-free and hasn't knocked an eye out, so it's all good! It's probably me just being a mom. I'm impressed on how this item takes a beating/pulling and hasn't come undone.

  • Fantastic addition to your Gymini Toy
    By AZK9CCTYQNRNL on 2002-12-10
I have had a Tiny Love playgym for over 3 years. My 3rd baby (just 3 weeks) is already enjoying his turn under the playgym. My two girls loved it as well.

These wind chimes are a new purchase as I only saw them in the store the other week. I thought they were a fabulous idea as all babies love to kick their legs around! I was right - my son loves kicking his legs around and seems to do it over and over again when he hears the wind chime sound. They have a lovely sound - just like wind chimes that you would hang outside your home.

My toddlers love to make the noise for him and have pulled quite rougly on each chime and rattled them. I checked to make sure they weren't coming loose and it was fine. As with all Tiny Love products ... it's very durable - even in the hands of over enthusiastic toddlers.

I'm sure as he grows and develops his grabbing and kicking skills this will be a favourite. Highly recommended.

  • Kick toy fantastic
    By on 2003-10-20
This is a must have if you have a gymini. My 2 month old daughter just kick kick kicks this toy for 45-60 minutes. She has just so much fun with it. She loves the sound it makes. We got to hear her first laugh while she was kicking it. The wind chimes sound is very soothing and has not bothered my nerves like some toys can. Tiny Love does it again!

  • A MUST HAVE!!
    By on 2003-11-17
We got this to attach to my eight week old daughter's gymini, and she loves it! It will hold her attention for over an hour!! (as you know... it's hard to believe anything will hold her attention that long!) Even if she is playing with the other toys on her gymini, she will keep swatting at the chimes with one hand. It was the first toy she has ever intentionally reach for!!
    HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!!!

  • Great Baby Toy!
    By AT7JKTKYKSHKT on 2006-06-30
I'm not real big on a lot of baby toys, I don't buy hardly any and I prefer the simple. This is one I'm really glad I got, my baby loves it and it's so cute. The chimes are a sweet sound and the design is great with the soft little flower and bird hanging from the chimes. It's a gentle toy for a young or calm baby and fun for the more exhuberant ones. It is easily attached to most anything, we've hung it on several different things, so don't worry if you don't have the play mat to hang it on. It's really a wonderful little toy for babies just about any age, even my husband enjoys it :) This one is worth the price.

  • Wonderful addition to gymini
    By A2P74E9X2M2ZVT on 2003-02-08
I bought this item to hang from my daughter's Tiny Love Gymini Mat and she absolutely loves it. She kicks and giggles at the beautiful sounds that come from the chime. My older children even like to come over and tap at it to hear the chimes. It is a very vibrant and colorful toy. Highly recommended.

  • Entralls my daughter
    By A65I8S6TS9YC4 on 2003-05-06
I bought this toy for my daughter's Gimini Deluxe 2 weeks after she was born. At first, we would shake the chimes for her, and she seemed captivated by the sound. Soon after, she began to hit the chimes by accident, then would bat at them on purpose to hear the noise. By three months, she was able to grab the chimes and swing them around. Now, at close to 4 months, she grabs them and tries to pull them into her mouth. They were the first things she noticed on the gym because they hang low enough for her to reach. Of all the toys we hung from the gym, this is by FAR her favorite, and has grown with her. She still loves it and often plays with it for 20-30 minutes. Also, the noise is actually quite nice, compared to the tinny sound of many musical toys. A rare find in a toy - and inexpensive to boot!

  • Great Toy for Baby!
    By on 2004-06-27
I bought this toy to use with my Gymini activity mat. I hang it low on one end. My 2 month old daughter has been enjoying it for weeks. At first she'd kick it by accident. She now seems to know that when she kicks she's rewarded with the chimes. She also will reach for it and bat it with her hands. It makes a very soft chime so it's very pleasing for both baby and parent! I highly recommend this toy!

  • Cheaper solution at another store
    By A2FWKNM7GSF80J on 2004-07-15
Just wanted to say that they have a very similar item at Walmart for about $6.00 and it's much softer too!

This is a great toy to hang onto a mobile or play gym or car seat - unlike most baby toys, this one has a sound that is actually quite pleasant for adults as well as babies, and our baby loves it. It's great to see something that doesn't require batteries to be musical.

  • WARNING!!!!
    By A1MA7TUTZJQAKN on 2005-09-11
This is a fun toy when babies are too small to put things in their mouth but make sure to remove from your child's play area when they they start to chew on things. My daughter chewed off the pink plastic center to the flower and choked on it. I noticed she started gagging and fished a piece out of her mouth. It is a cellophane material that comes off fairly easily... I can't believe a company would use this on an infant's toy!!!!!

  • A Must Have For Your Gymini or other Activity Mat
    By on 2004-06-25
We highly recommend adding these chimes to your Gymini or other activity mat. Our son has enjoyed kicking, swinging and chewing on them! They have added bright colors and enjoyable sound to our son's playtime.

  • Crib Security System
    By A3PQCSVVWZMV4D on 2005-08-04
Our strong and very well-coordinated 13 month old has discovered her ability to climb and does chin-ups on the edge of the dining room table---needless to say, we suspect she is working on climbing out of her crib. I keep this hooked to the front of her crib and it tells us if she is trying to hoist herself over the side. This is a good example of a toy that is useful from birth and way, way into toddlerhood.

  • Gentle chime sounds soothe baby!
    By A2UYLD3M1LV4VY on 2004-07-21
I bought this product for my 3 month old, since she is just starting to bat and grab at toys. When I showed it to her for the first time, she was instantly hooked! It kept her attention for more than 20 minutes as she stared at the bright colors and listened to the chimes.

I shake this for her when she is fussy, and the gentle chime sounds actually soothe her and calm her down instantly. I like that it can be hooked onto our Carter's Butterfly Gym for her to bat and kick at.

I also hang it from the handle on her bouncy seat for her to watch and bat at. She smiles and squeals when she realizes that her touch makes the chimes sound.

This is a very well-made product and definitely a great buy for the money! Highly recommended!

  • Wonderful little item!
    By A2V9QTMC38VXQC on 2004-08-24
I bought this for my 14 week old daughter Zoe, and she can't get enough of it! She loves both batting and kicking at it, and unlike other toys, the sound doesnt drive me up the wall. The chimes also soothe her when she is fussy, and distract her while I am changing clothes or preparing her clothes for the day. I love it, and highly reccommend it!

  • Entertainment for Less
    By A2MDELFOLAZVYX on 2004-10-12
I bought this for my 5 month old while he is having floor time. I love this toy and so does my son! I love wind chime sounds to begin with but I attached this to his jungle gym and he loves to kick and grab it making the gentle chime sounds that are not like some of the loud annoying electronic toys. I just got it, but I can't wait to try other places to put the toy like the car and crib. I just might have to go buy another and it was reasonably priced too!

  • Lots of fun!
    By A2NQHOK6QLT6QP on 2005-03-10
This product has proved to be a great deal of fun for our son! He just loves to kick away at it & listen to the jingle jangles! He also enjoys swatting at it if his hands are closer to it than his feet. This really keeps him occupied while on his playmat. No wonder it's an award winning toy!

  • Very soothing
    By A1YTVJFPH8XZOZ on 2005-05-24
I love these wind chimes. They are really soothing to baby and mommy. This is a favorite on the play gym and a lifesaver in the car. A refreshing break from all the noise most toys these days make. You will not be sorry you bought this toy!

  • Great all around
    By A1R9ZPKE741ZWH on 2005-06-29
My son absolultly loves this toy! I recieved it for my shower when my son was 2 months old. I hung it on his gymini and he loved it! Before he could really "do" anything he would kick it and get so much satisfaction out of it. I loved it too, hearing it was nice and seeing his smiles when he knew that he had done something to make that noise. Now that he is 6 months old and sitting up in his gymini he loves to grab the chimes and "eat" them as I call it. I guess it feels good on his teeth. :) He still enjoys hearing them make noise and he still smiles when he does it. I love these chimes so much! Its great to have a toy where you can see your child getting some satisfaction out of it. I am sure that he will love this for a long time from now and I will definitly save it for my "children to come".

  • The best baby toy
    By A1XOLLL9NDJ7UY on 2005-07-02
I am the mother of a 4 month old. Out of the many toys I have bought and have been given, this is my son's absolute favorite. I took the mobile off of my pack and play and put this on. He not only kicks it but pulls it and touches it with his hands as well. He is mesmerized by it. The sound is soft, gentle and soothing. The colors are bright and fun. I can put him down under it and actually get things done around the house when I need to, because he is entertained by this for many minutes! It is a life saver! I would have paid double, even triple the price for it when I see all the enjoyment my son gets out of it.

  • Great Toy
    By A3THW6RUF80ICV on 2005-11-26
I bought this for my youngest daughter to use on the activity mat I had from my oldest daughter. I've never had to change out the toy since this keeps her occupied for a long time. Kicking it, swatting it, trying to grab it, this toy keeps her entertained while I do things around the house. I would recommend this toy!

  • Great Toy!!!
    By A2EKCQJ2XI3T7I on 2005-12-06
My daughter loves this toy I bought it to attach to her gymini activity mat and its her favorite thing about the mat. She's 9 weeks old right now and she can't get enough of kicking it to hear the chimes. I also dangle it from the canopy to her stroller that way when we go on walks she can hear the chimes. My friends 8 months old loves this toy too he's always putting it in his mouth and sucking on it and shaking it to hear the chimes. This is a great toy and has many uses.

  • Chiming away
    By AV1JMLLV9H9GP on 2006-07-09
What a wonderful toy...the sound the chimes make is loud enough to be engaging for my baby, yet gentle enough not to be annoying to me...got one for grandma's house too...this moves from the side of her pack 'n play to the dry cleaning handle above her carseat in the car, to the hood of her stroller..she loves it!!

  • Saw it in the toy store and had to get it
    By on 2002-08-28
We are purchasing the Tiny Love Super Deluxe play mat and this is an additional item for it. I love windchimes, and this has a lovely sound to it. If I was having fun playing with it in the store, I can only imagine it'll be fun for a little one to kick at. Granted, my husband and I are relying on what looks like fun to us - we're great big kids and are *really* practicing restraint in the toy purchasing department. This mat and attachment are all we've purchased so far so as not to overwhem us or the baby.

I rated durability at one star because I don't know yet. As far as educational value, again - it's sensory stimulation and rewards movement - but "educational" for an infant toy seems a bit premature. As far as fun - like I said, I was having a ball with it in the store. It's not an annoying sound that will drive you nuts - unless you don't like windchimes.
