Great toy!

My 5 year old son rec'd these for Christmas and when I first saw it I thought there really wasn't much to it. But from the minute it was opened my son and his seven year old brother set aside their other gifts and started building! They have played with this toy some much - their three year old sister even enjoys it. It comes with cards and the kids have to recreate the picture. The kids do play wit h the cards, but a lot of the time they just build with them - much more fun than regular blocks!
Wonderful toy, but get a bigger set to get the most use....

Wedgits are wonderful!! We got this small set at a yard sale, and it only interested my youngest child (I think he was 3 at the time) and he only built a few things with it and didn't play with it very much. But then he got the "35 Wedgits to go" set for Christmas last year, and it made all the difference. It had an idea book, and with all the extra pieces, all of my kids (now 5, 8, and 10) have gone to town. This toy is ALWAYS out, mostly my 5 and 8 year old, building lots of cool things.
So if money is an issue, this set may keep a smaller child happily occupied. However, if you want to extend the toy's lifespan, I would get the largest set you can get, preferably one with a good idea book.

My daughter received these as a christmas gift from her uncle when she was 2. I had never heard of them and thought they were pretty much a useless gift. Well I was completely wrong, not only can she now follow and complete all the cards at the age of 4, but they are simple enough to put together that her 2 yr old brother can also use them. I highly recommend them to any parent.

my sister-in-law has some of these blocks and my daughter loves them. my daughter is 13 months old and she has so much fun with these blocks especially when we are trying to have dinner.

This Wedgits set is so cool. My son played with it at my sister's house and was addicted. Her 18 month old niece is also intrigued by it. So, we added it to Santa's list. It helps them problem solve and be creative. So, I highly recommend it.
My only suggestion would be that they have some kind of carrying case or box to put it in due to the pieces. I regret that we threw out the box it came in.
