• The guy who said they are not durable is incorrect

  He determined they are not durable because the 'replace heads' light came on soon after he installed them. That is just because he replaced the heads early before the light came on. The light is just a timer and comes on every so many minutes of use. His new heads were fine, but he did not understand what makes the 'replace heads' light come on.

  Replacement blades are a must. The razor will remind you about once a year which is fine in most cases. But, if you have a heavy beard or shave more than once a day, as I do, then you should replace the blades every 8 months or so. The reminder on the razor is only a suggestion, not a command. After all, it does not know when the blades get dull. So, I simply ignore the reminder and replace the blades when I feel it is necessary.
  
  One thing you must do is use the new blades for several days until they settle in and adjust to your skin. Until then you may have a little irritation. Another problem I have solved is the hair on my neck. I use to think the harder I press the razor, the better it would get those stray hairs. But, all I got was a rash. I discovered that if I simply use a very light touch and not press hard then it got those hairs much better and with no redness.
  
  Replace your blades at least once a year and your face with thank you.

  One of the best electric razors I've ever used. Went on vacation and a buddy of mine had one and I liked it so much I bought it. In the 2 years I've had it I never had a hair yanked out. Not as smooth as a regular razor, but no electric is. Be cautious with the replacement heads putting them in. Make sure you don't seperate the pieces as it's hard to put back together, but it should just pop right into the razor.

  The razor blades work fine for a close shave. The problem here is that the blades are shipped from an independent seller who has charged me 10$ shipping costs on a product that costs just 33$! Why does an item that weighs just a few ounces warrant an inflated shipping cost like that? Shaver's Outlet, who supplies this item for Amazon customers, care to explain yourselves? I can go into any retail discount store and buy a new razor for that price. This will be the first and last time you receive an order for one your products from this very ticked off customer.

  I use my 8894 XL once in 2 days and the head doesn't last long enough. I replaced mine just about 3 months back and i think it already needs a replacement again (get that burning sensation after my shave)

  This razor (Spectra 8825XL) shaves comfortably and closely. Heads mould to your facial contours and just feels great on your skin. Battery lasted an entire week when I went camping.

  On February 17, 2005 I bought Norelco HQ8 Spectra Tripleheader Replacement Heads from Amazon for my Norelco Spectra 8894 XL electric shaver. In September, the shaver displays the message "Replace Heads". I can only conclude the Heads were defective or of poor quality.

  Purchasing the Norelco HQ8 Spectra Tripleheader Replacement heads for my 5+ year-old Norelco razor was a really good move. The "old "razor" now works like a new razor. I should have replaced the heads long ago but kept using the old ones and complaining that "I need to get a new razor."

  Well, they did what they were supposed to. The shave was about as good as new. But, is it just me or is Norelco outsourcing stuff and it all and all, seems a little more cheaply made. Considering a new shaving system all in all. But, these heads were indeed good.

  I've been a Norelco triple headed electric razor user for over 25 years. The razor which I use now is one which is about four years old and still going strong. Replacing the blades [heads] every 6 - 12 months is still cheaper than purchasing a new Norelco razor. I've not noticed any irritation after installing new heads, just a better shave with less effort. Keep your old razor and replace the heads! You can't go wrong! Amazon's price for these HQ 8 Spectra replacements was the lowest I could find on the Internet. Shipped very fast!

  I have found these easy to change, it just takes a couple of minutes.
  These replacement heads are just as effective as the originals and they last about the same amount of time in my case that is about 12 months.
  I am now using my second set, since purchasing my shaver and would have no problem recommending these to someone else.

  This product replaced the heads in my Norelco Spectra shaver. I found a great improvement in shaving by being able to shave closer and quicker. It was like getting a new shaver for much less cost. However it did require my old shaver to still have a good motor and battery.

  These blades are direct NORELCO brand replacement blades for the Spectra razor. They fit perfectly and restore the "brand new" shaving experience that you may be missing due to old, dull blades.
  
  If your blades are more than a year old or you notice that your shave is not as close as it once was, getting a set of these new blades may make the difference. This is my second set and they really did the trick.
  
  Check the Norelco Website if you are unsure if these fit your model but other than that there is nothing to worry about. Incidentally, there are less expensive places to buy them other than Amazon. The shipping kills their competitive pricing.

  I bought this razor 14 months ago and haven't regretted it an instant. I use this razor everyday without irritation of any kind. I use to use a regular triple bladed razor with shaving cream and I hated it due to the irritation. The Norelco doesn't shave as close but no electric will unless the blades actually touch your face (and then talk about irritation!) but it does a great job and I look well groomed.

  i got mine about a year ago. its been very handy. the battery last a long time. dont have to take the charger along or anythign its awsome. if im going out on a date or something i usually use a mach3 to get it real smooth but other than that this is preobobly the easiest way to go.
