What's not to love

On my Dell, access to the USB ports is either in the back under the desk or in the front, under some plastic overhang, and skewed sideways. Either way it was a pain to use for something that you need to plug in and out a lot like an iPod or digital camera. Worse, they are impossible to use with something like the flip video that has a built-in USB plug on a short arm.
So I decided to get an extension cable so that I could plug in anything easily. I checked out Staples and Radio Shack and found $25 minimum for a simple A/A cable. But amazon and Cables-to-go came through with an inexpensive 10 foot cable that simplifies hooking up my peripherals to my computer. (I probably could have gotten away with the 3 foot cable but better to be too long than too short.) I plug in the cable and leave the other end disconnected on top of the PC where it waits patiently to be needed. The cable feels solid and gives every impression of being able to hold up to some abuse. I have used it with my iPod, my digital camera, and my flip video camera without any problems.
Anyone who buys a flip video camera MUST buy either the 10 foot or three foot A/A cable. Everyone else should buy it so that they don't have to struggle to get their iPod or digital camera hooked up. It does the job it is supposed to do, does it well, is solidly built, and is cheaper than anything else I could find. Strongly recommended.

I was unable to even find any male/female extension USB cables at my local bricks & mortar stores, and the male/male cables available cost an arm and a leg.
These cables are extraordinarily low priced, arrived in the blink of an eye, fit perfectly, are of heavy construction, and work like a charm.
I couldn't be happier.
Great For FLIP Cameras!

My FLIP Camera has a USB port that hangs precariously onto my computer, so I bought these lengthy cables. Now I can set my FLIP Camera on my desk and pass the information through the cable to my computer's USB ports. I don't know why FLIP didn't think of this sooner. No chance of breaking the FLIP USB port anymore. Plus these cables are dirt cheap and very well made!
Does not work well with usb 2.0

I ordered 2 of these USB extensions.
With USB 2.0 devices (5 devices tested) one cable worked sometimes and the second cable worked rarely.
With USB 1.1/1.0 devices (USB mice and keyboard) both cables worked fine.
Be warned, these are not high speed cables.

I ordered two of these cables and found them to be well-constructed and fully functional, as would be expected for something so simple. However, the plastic housing around the male connector is thicker than on a standard USB extension cable making it very difficult to plug this in right next to another device if you have side-by-side USB ports. In fact, trying to plug both of these extensions into such side-by-side ports starting to put so much side pressure on them that I feared I would damage the ports. Keep that in mind if you are thinking of using this cable.

Works great. I have a desktop computer that I keep below the table. USB ports were difficult to access. This cable works great. I use to synch my IPod, camera, etc. Much easier than accessing the front or back of the computer.

This cable works as advertised. 4 stars because I just got it and don't know how it will perform in the long-term, but my guess is that if it works well now, there is not much that can go wrong with a USB cable.

I use four of these connected together to operate a DDR mat from my office computer to my living room TV, and it works great! I've got a feeling connecting many more together eventually wouldn't work, but if you need up to 40' of extension, these are the way to go.

I needed this USB extension cable because I have a small camcorder that I need to plug into my computers, but the USB arm on the camcorder is too short to use by itself without risking damage to the camcorder. This USB extension cable arrived fast and works perfectly for my intended use.

Got this cable to accompany a Flip camcorder. Makes hooking up to computer much simpler than plugging in Flip's USB plug and should reduce wear and tear to the plug over the long run

I have an older PC, where the USB port is in the back of the CPU instead of the front. I use a flash drive fairly often, and this way, I don't have to get on my hands & knees to plug the flash drive into the USB port. I just have the cable handy at the side of my desktop. Just plug and go!

Inexpensive and good quality as it anything I have purhased from "Cables To Go". I have several of these cables which provides me extension and placement of peripheral equipment for both desktop and laptop. It is a male to female connection and can be used with any standard USB connection. Remember if it doesn't meet your needs you can return it and amazon with provide you with the shipping label online to send it back as they do with any of the items you order and most have 14-30 days for such return. However, I think you will like this product and it is usable for many items with USB connections.

Bought it to ease the connection between my flip ultra and my macbook but it only work once out of 10 attempts. Flip-Mac connection works fine without the cable, so the cable must be the problem.
Two-star because I'm keeping it and use it to extend my usb hub for the other peripheral which works fine. Also the return cost is probably more expensive than the product it self.

It gets the job done, but the one I received is definitely not white which was kind of a big disappointment. It's closer to that old grey/yellow color that they used to make cases and CRT monitors out of; very ugly.
