  • Comfy and hard to part with...

    By A31XE8322XFJCN on 2006-05-23
We bought this bed for another toddler that was staying with us for a week. My daughter insisted on sleeping in it as soon as it was filled and ready to sleep on, and she still rather sleep on it instead of her very-cool big girl bed!!

Bed is easy to inflate, and inflates in seconds. Comes with a soft, plush cover which secures on with elastic straps (very neat feature) so it won't come loose during the night. Raised sides prevent falling out. Deflates in seconds, folds nicely into the provided bag.

We have definately gotten our money's worth! Looking forward to using it when we travel. Highly recommend!!

  • Saved My Life

    By A3T0OW5PFMZGHR on 2006-09-06
This bed is an excellent product. I was recently very worried about travelling and leaving my 3 and 5 year old kids at my parents house for 2 weeks as they are always reluctant to spend the night there. They would have to accomodate on someone else's bed or on a couch , so there would be no sense of security while mom was gone. I bought these beds to give them a sense of belonging and ownership. Since it is deflatable you don't have to worry about it taking any space except while they are actually sleeping. They were ecstastic to realize they had their own beds and could take them to any sleepover in the future. The inflating and deflating is a piece of cake for any grownup and is extremely exciting for kids watching a piece of plastic turn into a bed in less then a minute. The bed is very sturdy yet very comfy since you can adjust the air pressure easily. The size is perfect and the included bedsheet with the star print is really cute and gives the bed a warm feeling. When deflated it goes in the included drawstring bag along with the bedsheet and air pump. Even the kids are able to haul the bag around. Now my kids love to spend the night at my parents just to get a chance to use the beds!

  • GREAT bed

    By on 2002-10-06
I bought this bed for my 3 year old for travel/vacations. He had been using a toddler travel bed, but he would roll over the sides of it and end up on the floor. This bed blows up within a minute with the electric pump (enclosed) and is a breeze to deflate. This bed comes with a cover, so your child isn't laying on plastic. The cover comes off for easy washing. This bed will take standard twin sheets, so no expense of buying special sheets. My son loves it so much that he will ask to sleep in this instead of his regular bed.

  • Am I missing something?

    By A20E41CDBZAWY7 on 2007-07-02
Did anyone else find this mattress extremely noisy? It's just awful and impossible for my grandson (who is 2) or anyone else in the room, to sleep. The loud screeching noise every time there was movement was unbearable. I put a rug under it - I put a mattress pad inbetween the cover and plastic - nothing worked! The "5 star" rating that everyone gave it was the reason I purchased it. I'd send it back but the box was thrown away before the bed was used.

  • Great for all kinds of trips

    By A2WNXS3CNAQS01 on 2007-09-06
Note - mattress cover is not as pictured - the one we received had a cute stars and moons pattern on it. Very adorable, but not pure white as shown.

We recently bought a second one of these Aerobeds for our younger child. We use this whenever we are sleeping away from home - so often we stay with relatives and there aren't enough beds for everyone kids included. We used to use a typical full size adult air mattress for them, but when you get near the edge of a regular mattress, you tend to roll off and the kids would constantly be falling off. The dip in this makes it rollproof, and the smaller size is great for being able to tuck them beside a bed or wherever there is space when visiting grandma's house or going on vacation!

Blowing it up is quick and easy - the included pump blows the whole thing up in less than a minute. It rolls back up easily too and stows neatly in the included bag.

My kids are 4 and 2, and I'm thinking we can easily use these for many years to come before they will be outgrown. Heck, I could probably sleep on it, as I sleep curled up on my side.

  • worked well on our trip
    By A303V8BIJIRXCW on 2007-01-03
Previously, I had used a toddler travel bed, not an air bed. The Toddler Travel Trundle was very uncomfortable for the kids, so I tried this. It worked very well and was much more comfortable. The pump is very heavy, so is the deflated bed, so we mailed it to our destination ahead of time.

  • LIFESAVER for Traveling w/Baby
    By A3GT51U816QZE3 on 2007-01-14
I bought this aerobed for travel when our destination did not have a crib or pack-n-play. I wanted something lightweight, sturdy and that would last a long time. I felt a pack-n-play was too heavy to transport and kids outgrow them too fast. The aerobed, in my opinion, was the perfect solution. My daughter loves this bed and we take it anytime we go out of town, especially to grandma and grandpas.
PROS: Bumper prevents child from rolling over/falling off bed
Electric pump makes inflation/deflation super easy and fast (< 1 min)
Comes w/carrying case that holds everything in size of a large backpack
Comes w/Fleece crib sheet that attaches to bed with elastic
    Holds up to 150 lbs
CON: Instructions say it is for children aged 3+ but I use it with my 15 month old. I began using it when she was 1 year old and I don't feel it is a safety hazard b/c she cannot roll over the bumper.
    Excellent product.

  • Fantastic
    By ASV1YNNLA7VIQ on 2006-09-04
Our grandson (age 2 1/2) was coming to visit - purchase of a crib not economical because he will be too big for it next visit. He took to the Aerobed so well. We put it on the floor in our computer room, packed pillows around it and he surprised his parents by adjusting to it right away. Just the right size for him for a couple of years when he comes to visit - good price and can probably be resold when he gets too big for it. Easy blow up and close up.

  • A good bed. A fair price.
    By AE2H22PR0TSLC on 2005-08-08
We purchased the AeroBed for a trip to Maine. Our 3 year old daughter loved it. We have since used it as a spare bed when little cousins are spending the night with us. The bed is very easy to inflate and when you are done with it, it deflates and stores away in the included bag. I have read some other posts where people are complaining about the price. I thought $70 was a fair price to pay. I have purchased lesser quality air matresses for myself and with proper care, they are still usable. If you take proper care of this quality bed it should last several years.

UPDATE: April 14, 2008. The bed (or trampoline, as my daughter prefers to treat it) has been on many trips and has taken quite a beating. It still inflates quickly and holds the air until we decide to let it out. It is well worth the money.

  • Worth Every Penny!!
    By A3TZX9PT6USF8C on 2006-06-10
I have had this bed(well the one in this picture..which is the one without the BUILT-IN pump which is described on the page...picture is without "built in" pump..but comes with pump as is fast and easy!) for about 4 and a half years!!!! I have had NO PROBLEMS at all...until about a month ago, and a part came off the valve ON the bed and it slowly leaks. But I can probably get a new gasket...or maybe I'll find the one that came off ( and this was due to our own abuse!!! ). This bed has held up to kidS and four big dogs who like to wake up my son and jump on it almost every morning!!! I don't remember what I paid for it but whatever it was, it has been WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

  • Aero Bed for Kids - the only way to travel with a Toddler
    By A1LPL4XF1ORY6D on 2006-03-30
We bought this for our 2 year old daughter after she had outgrown her pack n play. I searched high and low for the perfect solution to her travel sleep needs since she's too big for a crib but too small to lay on an adult bed with no rails. I compared the Ready Bed, the Travel N Trundle, and the Aerobed for kids. The Aerobed for kids is by far superior to either of the other products I looked at. It is incredibly well made and best of all its so simple and quick to operate. It inflates in less than a minute and deflates nearly as quickly. Once its deflated you simply roll it up and place it in the carrying bag - it's REALLY that easy! Some of the features that I appreciate the most are the raised surface around the entire bed so my daughter will not fall out, and the very nice and very soft mattress cover for her to lay on. This is truly one of those products that has completely lived up to my expectations. Definitely something we would purchase again as it is indepsible to us for our monthly travels.

  • Lifesaver!!!
    By AMYUFD1MPR8QE on 2007-03-08
We bought this bed for my [...] daughter as she is too big for a pack 'n play (and can also climb out!). It inflates and deflates in just a couple of minutes and is small enough to fit almost anywhere. My daughter loved it - it is her new "big girl bed" for traveling, of which we do quite a bit. The banked walls keep her safe, unlike some of the inflatable princess beds I have seen where a child can fall between the bed and the "side-rail." I highly recommend this bed to all who consider it for their child. One word of advice to new buyers - let it air out, if possible, before using it as it has a very strong plastic smell.

  • Maybe when she is older....
    By A276HL22UI5CRS on 2007-07-05
My daughter is 19 months so not an age she should really be out of a crib but I bought this to use while traveling. I have only used it once because she woke up in the middle of the night when she rolled out of the bed. After that it was back to the pack and play. It does have 4" high sides but they are rounded. So they are easy to roll over - not like a straight wall. Easy to pump up and deflate... great size. But don't rely on those walls.. pretty useless.

  • Aerobed for kids
    By A3TMGLECV7IMNT on 2005-05-04
I bought one of these for my 5-year old niece to use when she visits me. It was wonderful. It keeps her and her dolly from falling off in the middle of the night and it is not too big for the room. In the morning I can deflate it, or stand it up on its side. I am going to buy two more for her 3-year old twin brothers who will be coming over with her to visit in a few weeks! It would be nice if it was a little cheaper! Otherwise it is great!

  • Perfect for Young Kids!
    By A1CU1XYA5XZYVS on 2005-12-18
We have tried several different inflatable beds with our 2 1/2 year old son. This is the only inflatable bed he sleeps comfortably in when we travel. The slightly raised sides keep him from falling off of the bed (which was a problem with other models). As with all AeroBeds, it inflates and deflates quickly. The size is perfect (a little wider and shorter than a twin), our son is very tall for his age, but I am confident he will be using this bed for many years. I agree with other reviewers that this is a fair price for the quality you are getting. FYI - twin sheets work fine for this bed.

  • Good night sleep for everyone
    By AH687K8REWVN0 on 2007-03-09
Bed says it's for 3 and up, but works great for traveling with our 19-month old. Our son refused to sleep in the pack-n-play and we weren't getting much sleep when he slept in the bed with us, so we found this to be a fantastic alternative. We've used it for local trips to visit family and also our first family vacation at a cabin in Tahoe. We were able to pack it in our luggage and fly it with us. Trick is to make sure it's confined. To keep our little guy in one place, we usually place the aerobed between a wall and the adult bed (making sure it's snug enough that he can't get caught between the bed and wall, but not too snug to burst the bed). We especially love the raised sides which keep safe and snug.

  • Great for toddlers
    By A3I4ZYMOB0E0HW on 2007-03-17
My son who just turned two really took well to this bed. He just loved it from the moment he got on it. He doesn't roll off in the night and the cover is very soft and warm for him. The cover also washes very nicely as we found out after just one night! The description of this item didn't make it clear that the pump was separate from the bed. It is, but it pumps up the bed very quickly and it is very easy to use. Letting the air out of the bed is extremely fast and simple. What a great product for my toddler!

  • Great yet not sound free
    By A12BOMAYCZ3FVG on 2007-04-10
excellent although the plastic is not sound free while the child tosses and turns in bed.

  • He loves his big boy bed!
    By A2AO1F5MZRCFZK on 2007-06-01
We recently went camping and I was not sure where my 2.5 yr old would sleep. He's still in a crib at home and is too big for a pack-n-play. So, i found this item and thought I'd try it. It seemed pricey at first but now I know it was well worth it. The sunken middle helps him not roll off the bed. The fleece covering is so soft and comfortable. It blows up in a matter of seconds. Just make sure you air it out before using it so the plastic smell doesn't make you gag. Overall I love it. And I know that we can use it on trips for years to come. I'm not one who lets my child sleep with me so this is a perfect alternative.

  • Great, but a bit noisy
    By A26UQP0UVD1JU7 on 2007-09-09
I bought two of these to take on a week long beach trip with the family. My girls love these things. My only complaint is the noise that they make when the kids move around on them. If you or your children are light sleepers then these might be too noisy for you.

  • Perfect for our grandson!!
    By A2WEDJW2ERIMXB on 2008-04-28
Our grandson, who is 2 1/2 and quite tall, spends the night with us about twice a week. He had been sleeping in our King size bed with us, but it was getting so my husband and I could not get a good night sleep when he slept over. We did not feel comfortable having him down the hall in a different room and we did not want, nor have the room, to put a bed in our room. We thought about a cot, but then I saw this on Amazon. It is PERFECT!! We can blow it up in less than a minute and when he goes home we can let the air out and put it away in a drawer if need be. My grandson LOVES it..he slept 10 hours the first night we had it and my husband and I got a good night sleep as well. It has a very comfy sheet that comes with it and it has elastic that goes all the way around the mattress to hold it in place. It is exactly what we were looking for.

  • Kids Loved It!
    By A11BQBTD0FH0P7 on 2006-01-26
We bought this bed to use in Hotels. My husband travels every other week for work and we occasionally go with him. My daughter is 2 1/2 and my son is 3 1/2. They have outgrown their portable cribs. The kids love the air bed. The first night we received them they both had to sleep on them in their rooms. My son is tall for his age and he has no problem sleeping on it with plenty of room to go. I would highly recommend the mattress for anyone who travels to Hotels or for use at Grandparent's house.

  • My Toddler loves his new travel bed.
    By A8GEQJ5OIRE0R on 2006-08-11
We camp and travel alot and I love the conveyance to have a bed every where we go with comfort for a great nights sleep for our toddler. I love this bed knowing that my toddler will not fall out of it. It is a great size for him to have some room to turn as he sleeps. The bed inflates just as ad states. It is well worth the price to have for years to come as he grows. It was nice to have the mattress pad and carry bag included with the purchase.

  • a great product
    By A360PYV5J1AC1Z on 2007-03-12
We were looking for something for my 2 1/2 year old who long ago outgrew the Pack N Play as a means for bedding when we travel. This has been a great purchase for us. My daughter loves sleeping on it. I like the detachable sheet for laundry purposes. It fully inflates in a minute and deflates just as quickly. It is big enough that an adult could sleep on it so it's not something that a child will outgrow quickly. That alone makes it worth the money in my opinion.

  • kids aerobed
    By A32FNOGI4525PW on 2007-09-08
Happy with this product overall. More expensive than kid's camper mattress & like products, but worth the price. Much better quality than Dora bed, for example. Very easy to inflate, deflate and store. Great for travel or sleepovers. Flannel mattress pad (inclu) is fine for colder months, but way too hot in summer. Also, mattress squeaks when she moves, so not ideal if you are light sleeper or if you have another child in room who is light sleeper.

  • Now he won't go in his regular bed!
    By A16PUD6V3KAZ0Q on 2005-12-21
We bought this for use for sleepovers at his Oma's as she doesn't like keeping our son (almost 2.5) 's crib up and it's a pain to put it up everytime, and now that we've converted his home crib to a toddler bed he hate's being contained....Got the package, opened it up to try it out- Son was very afraid of the pump as it sounds like a vacuum cleaner...
Easy quick assembly- threw on the cover (a really soft and plush fleece cover, with straps that go all the way around for comfort and safety-and a really cheerful and cute pattern-definitely gender neutral) and he got right on and then gave us a big fight when we wanted him to sleep in his regular bed and had a fit when we deflated it, rolled it up, put it in it's bag, and put it away...
So I'm saying this is an A+++++++++++++product! With quick and reliable delivery by Amazon!

  • Very nice, but heavy for travelers
    By AX7SH6S5Y2MKQ on 2006-02-24
I highly recommend this bed for in home use. The fact the pump is detachable is wonderful so young children are not with electrical cords. It is very comfortable, and the edge did keep my son from falling off. However, it is really too heavy to take along in trips.

  • BIG FAN OF AEROBED FOR KIDS
    By A3RS0HEWBVI29P on 2006-04-25
I purchased the AeroBed for Kids when our son turned 2, for use in travel and for sleepovers with Grammy & Boppy. Our son is now 4 & half and he loves his AeroBed.

It is very durable and very, very comfy. We've never had a problem with a hole or tear, even when our son jumps and plays on it. The pump that's included makes set-up a breeze. The bed folds up neatly and is perfect for travel. Takes up about the same space as a large sleeping bag when rolled up. The "railings" are wonderful, and work perfectly for keeping your little one safely on the bed. I also love the padded, fitted cover which is included. It's soft and comfy and you can toss it in the wash for quick clean ups. This bed is larger than the cheaper kids inflatables, so you'll get more years of use.

We also use it during the Spring thunderstorm season, when our son is a little frightened about sleeping in his own bed. We set the AeroBed up in Mommy and Daddy's room and our little guy sleeps peacefully next to our bed. That way, everyone gets a good nights sleep.

  • These beds are the best
    By A2NRIH2MMWFGQB on 2006-12-21
I use these for my 8 grandkids. They are sturdy and durable. The are also comfortable. I just wish they made sheets to fit them.

  • Excellent Choice for Toddlers
    By A1IEFNGJY8SMQL on 2007-01-19
My son and I visit my Mother in North Carolina frequently. Over Christmas, she had a house full of family, so we decided to order the Aerobed for Kids for my almost 3 year old son. He LOVED it! It was very easy to inflate. The mattress pad that was included is thick and soft, so after washing, we just used that as the sheet. We just added a pillow for him and a blanket and he was snuggled in for night and also for naps during the day. I highly recommend this for anyone with a toddler that travels, or needs extra beds!
