Swing Baby swing Infant swing to Toddler swing Fisher Price Child Seat successor to liftn lock Fisher-Price Shipping Included in Continental USA This swing is as friendly to parents as it is to kids. And now it can be reclined for use with infants as young as six months. A dual restraint system, with three-point harness and tray, keeps them secure. The tray holds toys or snacks, and lifts up out of the way for easy in and out.Approx. 22" L x 14" W x 14" H.

Now baby can experience outdoor fun with the Fisher-Price infant to toddler swing. Once you find a place to hang and hook your swing, level out the thick nylon ropes for an even hang. Getting the ropes adjusted is the most difficult part, but after that is done it's playtime. The swing would not twist without doing it purposefully, nor would it tip or roll. The seat can be reclined via the ropes for infants or more upright for toddlers. Unlock the tray and lift to the side, place baby and secure with the three-point harness, lock the tray and swing away to smiles and giggles. The manufacturer recommended age is six to 36 months, and the maximum weight is 45 pounds. --Scott Teal

  • BUYER BEWARE

    By A2ZEHPPWLEE122 on 2004-07-20
THIS PRODUCT IS NOT SAFE! I recently purchased this swing for my 6 month old son. It looked safe enough at first glance, however it is not stable, even when used with a swing set that provides an even and balanced support surface. My 6 year old daughter was gently swinging my son (under parental supervision thank goodness) when he leaned back, suddenly tipping the swing UPSIDE DOWN! Had I not been standing right there my son would have fallen several feet to the ground as there are no shoulder harnesses for this swing. I can assure you that this swing was installed properly by their every safety direction, but still failed miserably to perform as it should. PLEASE DO NOT BUY this swing! Look for one that utilizes the shoulder harness feature at least.

  • Terrific Swing!

    By A3MKDMZX43VEU3 on 2006-03-18
I first bought this swing 8 years ago when my nephew turned 1. He LOVED it, it was his best birthday gift. Since then, it has become our standard one-year-old gift. I've given it to dozens of children and received rave reviews every time. When a friend bought this for my son's first birthday, we were thrilled. He and his friends are now nearly four and still like to swing in it even though they have mastered the big-boy swing. My one-year-old will sit in it watching the big kids play in the garden and he is a mover - does not like to sit still at all. It is also perfect on days when the ground is too wet to crawl around (which seems like everyday lately).

By the way, I read the 'upside down' post. I was concerned and tried to turn mine upside down without a child in it and the ropes are balanced that I could not turn it even empty. That family may have had defective ropes or it was installed improperly...

  • love it

My daughter is 5 months and loves this swing. We added it to the swingset we have. It installs easy. It is easy to get her in and out of. She looks comfortable in it. It has a nice buckle and it has a tray in front for snacks or toys. It reclines back which is nice since she can't sit up straight yet. I highly recommend this swing. My swingset came with a bucket swing, which is too big for her. I looked at several other swings, and I am pleased with this one!

  • Wonderful Swing!

    By AUPUZ14778SD7 on 2005-02-28
we hung this up with some plastic tubing and chains in the backyard and our 6-month-old loves it. I now have a place to put her while I'm in the backyard getting some air. The swing is secure and comfortable and there's enough room for a blanket.

  • Awesome swing

    By A3EFYM91ZBLZ7D on 2006-03-27
This is the best swing out there. Best features:
-ability to adjust back as baby grows and wants to sit more upright. Many other swings sit back way too far and my baby didnt like that at all!
-ability to remove the tray makes for ease in taking baby out
-VERY SAFE...3 point harness, in addition to the tray that comes down.
-length of ropes is perfect...not to high or too low!

Overall, I dont think you will find a better swing with all these features.

  • Best thing I've ever bought for my infant
    By A368MVNCDGD1M2 on 2005-02-28
I bought this swing second hand at a garage sale and have never been sorry. My mother's bought a number of swings for her 4 other grandchildren, and this one is by far the best we've ever had. The swing is easy to adjust, easy to get open and get baby into, and easy to close. My daughter was born in May and we have used the swing since July. We've brought it in the house, put it on the front porch, back porch, and hung it from a ladder when we've had to. This swing has been a wonderful calming source for my daughter. There were times when she didn't want a thing to do with the graco indoor battery operated swing, didn't want anything to do with us, didn't want to be alone, but when placed in this swing, all was well with her. I recommend this swing to anyone with a child under the age of 4.

Looked at lots of swings but this one had NO sharp edges, tray is nice and safety belts cover a wide range. Good product and was reasonably priced.

  • t-bar swings are better
    By on 2004-07-20
I had bought this swing and returned it the next day. Everyone on the block has the old model of the swing with the t-bar, and that is what I wanted. I put my son who was 7 months old in it, buckled him up, and I felt like he was going to fall out or end up dangling somehow. He had figured out how to get the stationary swing to move when it wasn't on, by moving himself forward and backward. Also fisher price thinks the snack tray is a benefit, but it really isn't. You are supposed to feed your child while they are sitting still. What if the baby chokes while they are swinging and eating? I think the directions even say not to leave your child unattended and to only have food when the swing is still.

  • Great for my infant and 2 year old too
    By A200554RPDX882 on 2005-02-08
This swing is awesome. We have used it for my infant son from the age of 3 months. The nylon cords are great because they don't fray apart. The swing adjusts into 2 different positions which was great for the different stages of my baby. My 3 year old took an instant liking to (of course) and he even gets in and out of it to have me swing him.
We have put hooks into the ceiling in the basements and the swing has actually come inside. it is the hit of all the toys when the kids come over. I highly recommend this swing.
Also, there are safety straps for your child. I could not bring myself to pay for a bucket swing and I am glad I did not waste my money on those. Enjoy!

  • A must have!
    By on 2004-05-05
We bought this swing for my daughters 1st birthday. We hung it from the rafters in our porch. She just loves it! It is so safe and easy to use and clean. I researched lots of swings before we decided on this one. We are very pleased with our purchase!

  • Very Concerned Parent
    By A2G9R9RSR0269V on 2004-07-17
My husband and I purchased this swing for our 14 month old daughter. At first we liked it, but yesterday we changed our minds. Our daughter can unbuckle the belt. We are very concerned about this. If she can do it what is stopping an older child from doing this and getting hurt. Thank God my husband was standing there or she may have fallen out. I called the company and they said they would refund our money after they got the swing. Please if you own this swing, don't leave your child alone. I am hoping Fisher Price will recall it and do something about this problem. We are going out this weekend and look for a new swing. Please Please watch your kids. I am hoping the company does something about this problem before someone gets hurt. Let the company know how you feel or if you have a problem of any kind let them know. I'm sure they will do all they can to help.

  • Swing is OK... constricting
    By A35I70NYO4L59Z on 2005-03-12
When I ordered the swing I thought that it would have a flat seat for the child to sit in. Instead it has grooves for his legs. The rope is a little short and it is somewhat difficult to adjust for proper swinging. It does swing. I will choose a different seat today.

After reading others reviews of this swing, I had to comment. I bought this swing for my daughter when she was 18 months. She is now turning 3 and the swing is still in wonderful condition(even the ropes!) even though it's been outside for 1 1/2 years. That's even inluding a storm that brought us about 5 inches of ice. My daughter loved this when I bought it for her and she still does. She could swing for hours if it wasn't always raining in the Northwest. I would most definitly buy this again if I have another child. As for those that are complaining about the ropes... they are ropes! They are eventually going to unravel unless you happen to have a rope from a shipyard that is ment to hold vessels and not a child that ways less than 40 lbs.

  • great swing
    By ALCXODPDVCNFQ on 2005-10-21
My one year old loves this swing!! It is hung from hooks on our back porch and he swings for hours!! The great part is the tray for cheerios, toys etc.

  • Not a good buy....
    By AO2EOJG16X9S7 on 2004-07-06
What a waste of money! I bought this for my daughter's first birthday and when we got the cardboard off it we found that one side of the rope was much longer than the other. It had been crimped in the wrong spot, there's no way to fix it. It also isn't long enough to hang it on any tree except maybe a small bush. Save your money for a better swing, this one's not worth it.

  • Kind of tricky to get kids in and out.
    By A2HHC8U8ZSBYCQ on 2004-10-16
A good swing, but sometimes it can be hard to move the t-bar up and down, and also hard maneuver a squirmy baby in to a swinging swing at the same time. But, maybe that's true of all infant swings.

  • What's Up With These Horrible Ropes?
    By A30YKBYF7782PL on 2005-06-21
I got one of these today before I read any reviews on them. I took this thing out of it's cardboard and ran outside to my daughter's new swingset only to find out that the ropes were crimped IN THE WRONG SPOT on one side! At first I thought that maybe it was suppose to be like this for some strange reason. I fiddled with it until I was so mad I was ready to throw up! Then I took a deep breath, counted to 10 and decided to come inside (slinging the evil thing into the car to return it tomorrow on my way into the house) and got online to read some reviews. It seems there are other people who wrote reviews with this very same rope crimping trouble. I think there are some major quality control issues with this swing because the majority of the reviews listed are written by happy campers with no rope drama. I'm not going to buy another one of these because I will surely have a meltdown if the next one is like this one!

I love my fisher-price infant toddler swing. I have two of them for my twin boys. They love it and I know it is safe. Also is it easy to get them in and out of.

  • Didn't work for us
    By on 2004-06-26
I bought this swing for my 10 month old. Even though she loves swings we used this one only 2 times. First of all, if your child is more on a chubby side, it will be very hard to put her in or take her out of the swing. Also, there is someting sharp under the little tray. I still can't find what it is, but when I picked my daughter out of the swing, something scratched her and now she is afraid to come even close to it. Maybe we just had bad luck, but we are definitly not going to use this one.

  • Great outdoor swing
    By ADEBSLP819YYR on 2005-10-11
This swing is great for my 6 month old baby. He can spend up to an hour in it outside with the fresh air and swinging a lot higher than his little indoor swing. The angle is just right for him as well so he can both play and sleep easily. My parents bought it for my son first and we liked it so much I had to buy one too. I have no complaints about this swing. The tray is nice. It's very easy to put the baby in and take him out.

  • Lots of laughs
    By on 2004-08-18
We bought this swing a couple of weeks ago and our 10 month old daughter loves it. She shreks in delight the whole time. My biggest complaint is that when it was manufactured they didn't make sure that the ropes were even. Before I could hang it up I had to feed the rope through from the long side to the short side to even it up (someone's review states that they couldn't use the swing because of this -not true- the manual tells you how to fix this.) We have also joked that putting a tray on a swing is useless. You can't put snacks on it when they swing both because they will fall off and, more importantly, the risk of choking. Hopefully any parent with common sense would be smart enough not to try this. I also don't see that any kid would sit still enough in it when it isn't swinging to be able to eat anyway. I would definitely recommend this swing. Ours is still in the infant recline position and once our daughter is bigger and more stable we will be able to use it in the upright position.

  • This swing lasted through two grandchildren!
    By A2XGJUXUF96C4T on 2005-09-06
This swing was one of the best investments we ever made. My two grandchildren literally spent hundreds of hours out in our backyard. We hung this swing from a tree, and both children used it long after the recommended age of three. This swing held up in weather--through rain, snow, and sun. It was very durable and proved to be quite safe. Of course, adults were usually pushing the swing. I would recommend this swing very highly!

  • wyatt new swing
    By A233NCR90HCJ3D on 2005-10-12
My grandson Wyatt now 9 months old, loves his new swing. The swing seems to be really safe for little ones. The only thing is that it is a little difficult to remove the tray to get him out, however since it seems to be so safe and very cute design we can deal with this little problem. We took pictures of him in his new swing and he was really smiling.

  • Great!

This swing is perfectly safe... Setting it up was a piece of cake and our 6 month old Loves to swing in it!

  • Safe and fun swing
    By AL6DAVBUX07FK on 2006-12-15
We've had this swing for three summers (we take it down in the winter)and it still works great. The tray is nice to keep the older kids off this swing and theres a three point safety strap we use once the girls got old enough to try to stand or climb out. The seat reclines a little for when the girls were real young. Holes in the bottom of the swing means no standing water after it rains. We love it.

  • Twin boys LOVE this swing!
    By A3KWXI0NNRTVP3 on 2004-06-16
We have 10 month old twins-one very active, the other more laid back and not crawling yet-both are VERY different in their current growing stages. Although they are quite different, they BOTH love this swing! We bought two of these swings from Toys R US (cost 2.00 more in the store than online- not sure why but SO glad we found them in the area-no other store had them) Very easy to install on swing set, great secure seat belts -but still easy enough to get them in and out of the swing. The table adds a more secure environment for them as well as very NICE to have for snacks or for the twins to hold on to. The recliner slider on back of seat is easy to adjust and GREAT to have as one twin prefers to sit up, while the other prefers to lay back. Also, one twin quite larger than the other making this swing great for little and chubby alike!

  • A Swinging Good Time!
    By A1GTFKOAZT8GQL on 2004-06-17
We love this swing because it has a recline setting that we used when our Toddler was an infant and we love the the pull up tray that clicks into place and the secure belt. Our family finds this to be a safe toy you can use for quite some time!

  • We LOVE this swing!
    By A1P8K9H9VCJW65 on 2004-07-25
I haven't encountered the safety issues that other parents have noted, perhaps it is due to our application of the swing. We got it as a Christmas gift when our daughter was 14 months, so we haven't ever tried it with an infant. I promptly asked my husband to install it in our barn. My hobby is horses and my daughter loves to swing while I feed and groom them. We sing and play while she's in it, and she really loves it. She's almost two now, and still enjoys spending time in it. We haven't had any safety or durability issues, but ours is hung in a way that's probably different when compared to swingset applications. I couldn't spend any time with my horse without it!

  • great swing

Perfect size allows for any size baby and therefore wide age range. My son loved it ever since he was 6 mons till know that he is one year and six months

  • This swing is a hit with our baby girl!
    By A16CV7DW33J17F on 2007-01-10
We bought this swing for our 11 month old daughter, and she loves it! We attached it to our back porch easily enough, and she swings in it every day! We've had it for about a month and it is still her favorite toy!
The only issue that we have had is that it hangs slightly crooked because of the way that they put the hooks on the swing at the factory. The aren't both facing the same direction, which is something that we cant fix, but it isn't bad enough to not use the swing or to cause any problems. Its more irritating than anything. Also, the swing seems secure and safe. We've not had any issues with safety, or even any close calls.
