water proof map paper By A2LLQC6G6N0UU6 on 2007-01-21
This is great paper to print your own maps on. I use my inkjet printer to make focus maps of hikes I take. This paper can be folded but not torn. I like the durability as I frequently fold and unfold it refering to the landmarks on the map.
very disappointed By A1731WPMYLOSF7 on 2007-04-03
I bought this rather expensive paper and waited for it to be forwarded to me overseas since I cant get it here. It did not work with my inkjet, the ink literally washes off under running water. Too expensive to mail back for refund. Back to using paper in a ziploc.

This "paper" is fantastic. It really is more of a thin, plastic/rubber which feels like paper. It doesn't tear, but if you pull hard on it, it will actually stretch.
I use an HP Deskjet 940c - nothing fancy with real HP ink and I used the printing prefs for "other inkjet paper" at regular ink volume with best quality. Fantastic results! I use it to print USGS topo maps you can download in PDF for free. After printing and letting it set for 10 minutes, I can run it under the water faucet solid for 3+ minutes without any indication of ink running - I can even run my thumb against it and nothing.
I'm an avid scuba diver and I think I just found a great way of printing my decompression schedules for deeper dives!! This paper rocks.
all it says it is By A15SQ09X96THJ8 on 2008-11-07
I am a Christmas tree grower and we wholesale a few hundred trees per year to health food stores. We print our own tags to explain the unique qualities (freshness, sustainably grown, regionally marketed, etc), and the tags need to withstand the weather on the lot for a little while (though much shorter than most trees stand on the lot, as we cut just prior to delivery).
We print on our home office HP and Canon inkjets and have had no trouble. The reviewer who said the ink washed off must be a competitor, b/c we have found that after the first few minutes, it remains bright in any weather or water conditions. Doesn't tear either which is very important. We have tried the IGage waterproof paper and it did pretty well but faded slightly more quickly and the ripped more easily - but given that it is half price it may be a better buy for some situations.
