  • A fun toy

    By A305B38DDZW3K7 on 2006-08-02
This is a nice little set of plush animal bowling pins and a soft ball with which to knock them down. We purchased it when our youngest child was an infant (he's now 16 months) and his brother was a toddler set on throwing everything he could get his hands on. The soft aspect of the toys drew us to them, as did the different sounds, which would appeal to the baby. As it turns out, neither of them have ever really used it for the intended purpose - the older child (now 2.5 years) prefers body bowling over using the ball! He sets up some of the pins and then jumps off of the couch into the middle of them. I have only two complaints about the toys. First of all, they attract animal hair and other floor muck very easily and are difficult to clean. We have two dogs, and the pins often seem to have more dog hair on them than the dogs! Secondly, they can be hard for the kids to stand up on the carpet. After a few tries on his own, the 2 year old gets frustrated and walks away or, if he's in a bad mood, starts tossing them all over the living room. Ultimately, this is probably a set better suited to a pet-free household or a no/low pile carpet floor.

  • Unstable Pins

    By A2ASH493BHZT3R on 2006-10-30
I hate to be the bad apple, but these pins were more frustrating for my 20-month-old than fun. It is very difficult to get the pins to stand up...even for an adult. And, if you have a pet, pet hair really sticks to the fabric they're made of.

  • Great Toy

    By A17A35KYB83U2P on 2005-10-01
I bought this for my second grandson's 1st birthday. The whole family loves it. (even the adults) The ball makes noise and the pins are soft enough that even if a pin battle breaks out it doesn't hurt.

    Definitly a winner!

  • Best "little ones" toy, and no batteries.

    By on 2003-11-27
Love this toy! Animal "pins" are easy for little guys('n'gals) to set up, AND knock down. And furniture (and people) is (are) safe from overactive or poorly aimed throws. Great for building motor skills, and the "pins" are really cute. I also liked that they are numbered, as this gives game possibilities room to grow. Great for him (or her) to play alone or with you. We need more toys like this!!!
    HIGHLY RECOMENDED for little ones.
    (good price too)

  • So darn cute!

My 19 month-old son got this as a gift from his great-grandmother. In the three weeks since it arrived at the house, he has been walking around with one or more of the pins under his arm. He takes them to bed with him and I can hear him over the monitor making kissing noises with them. Suffice it to say, he LOVES it. My 5 month-old is starting to love it as well (especially the cow). I would recommend it for any baby or toddler, especially an affectionate one.

  • 9 month old having a great time with this
    By AGF2ZGAZSDIFT on 2005-04-21
My baby clearly isn't bowling yet, but is having a great time knocking these down with her hands and shaking them to hear the different sounds. If we set them up on the sofa across the room she will cruise/crawl to them in order to know them over and pick them up and shake them. The ball is a good size for her hands, and also makes noise. I suppose when she's older we'll eventually get to the bowling aspect.

  • Adorable and down right cute

This toy is really cute, soft, and fun. I bought this for my son's birthday. It was a great choice. I even bought it for a friends son for his birthday.

  • Good toy for 18 months
    By A28NF8MCCUMP2U on 2006-09-07
My daughter loves these, she has played with them continuously even though we have lots of other toys. We gave them to her at 13 months and she is just now at 21 months starting to get the bowling. But since the beginning, she has loved the feel, sight, and sound of the animals, ball and the case. She just carries them around the house! Easy to clean too!

  • Adorable

Got this for my 20 month old son; I thought maybe its a lil' too late introducing this toy - Boy was I wrong - He loves to play with it and when I arrange the soft toy pins - he goes around saying 1, 2 :-)
Recommend for kids under 24 months

  • Very Cute
    By A2H2X4FQDZHJ8A on 2004-10-04
When I saw this bowling set in the store I just had to buy it for my 14 month old daughter. We have had it for three days and she just got the hang of rolling the ball to knock over the pins. The ball and pins are so soft; I think this toy would be appropriate for a younger baby too. The pins are numbered so this toy will be great when she starts learning her numbers. I can see her using this toy for at least another year. I would recommend this toy for anyone with a child under 2.

  • Fun and educational
    By A2GQ30KT6VMQFQ on 2006-07-11
My 20 months old daughter loves them. She learned cause and effect with these animal pins. She realized that she can throw the ball and knock the pins down with out having to use her hands. She also learned all the numbers up to 6, and associated them with the animals. Her favorite color is blue, and her favorite animal is a dog. In this game the dog happens to be blue, and his number is 5. So, of course her favorite number is now, 5.
When she looks for the pins, she reffers to them as "Puppy Five". "Duck Six" is her second favorite, and so on so forth. Very cool!

This toy has been a wonderful gift for my 2 yr old son. He received for Christmas and we didn't think he would get much use out of it, but both of my children who are 3 yrs apart enjoy playinf it. I know for a fact that it gets brought out everyday.

  • Christmas gift for a friend
    By A187E6G5NDDFPE on 2006-06-11
Bought this for my friend's 18 month-old daughter who is a very active kid. She enjoyed carrying the pins around as much as doing any real bowling. Friend was very appreciative of the gift.

  • Cute and well made
    By A3AOSL63CYGPJE on 2006-09-05
These are very well made and a 'classic' toy. No batteries, no electronic sounds, just nice soothing old fashioned baby sounds, emminating from these adorable bowling pins.

  • Cute but not played with
    By A3M3MC7577AHRW on 2006-12-01
After reading such favorable reviews I bought this bowling set for my son's first birthday. We've had the toy now for a month and he is not very interested in it. If I set it up for him he will toss the ball at the pins a couple of times and then look at a couple of animal/pins and then he is done. I don't much care if he bowls with it, but he doesn't pick it up or ask for any of the pieces either.

While the toy is cute, something not played with is money wasted. The toy seems well made and probably durable but without a child to love it, I just can't recommend it.

  • cute toy

This is a cute toy, and I like the idea of playing with it. It has been a few weeks, the my 18 mo. son hasn't played with it much. He likes it if I stand the pins up and show him how to throw the ball at them, but I think he'll like it better in a few months when he can do it himself. The pins and ball are very cute. Soft with different colors and textures.

  • Excellent toy
    By A3T3ETCUVQKBFV on 2007-01-10
Bought this toy for my 1 year old daughter and she has a wonderful time with it. It's hard to tell who enjoys it more, her or her 6 year old brother! She manages to throw the ball at the animals most of the time, the rest of the time, she just enjoys playing with the animals individually, especially the duck, which has a tuft of hair that she likes to tickle us with! I highly recommend this toy for any young child.

This bowling game is wonderful. The bowling pin-animals are very cute and the kids can handle them and the soft-belled bowling ball easily.

  • So much fun

My nephew loves it, it soft, each piece has a different sound and the animals are so cute.

  • Great Toy
    By A1UUI7PFQ5FU4E on 2007-02-12
I purchased this product for my 3-month old infant. She loves chewing on the soft bowling pins and the ball (which rattles) is one of her favorite toys. I might also add that my 3-year old also loves to set up the pins in the hallway so that he can try his skill at bowling. Since the bowling pins and the bowling ball are made out of soft material, there is also little concern on my part of anything getting destroyed in the house. Really cute toy for infants and toddlers.

  • Cute set of bowling pins
    By A4QTYGJS4Y44F on 2007-03-05
My 14 month old son loves these. He absolutely loves balls - holding them, throwing them, rolling them, so bowling is right up his alley. We don't have any trouble getting the pins to stand up. The pins are very cute, and I can use them to teach my sona bout animals. They are very simple, and I like that. We have enough toys that light up and make lots of noise!

  • Bowling game

My granddaughter is 19 months old. She has fun playing with this game. It is durable. Also she is learning her numbers which is on the front of each pin. A versatile game.

When I first purchased this product my daughter had just turned a year. At first, she was not interested in knocking down the animals with the ball, she just wanted to eat and kiss them, and carry them around. The first few months were teaching her what the animals were by singing Old MacDonald, and doing a counting game whilst I set up the pins. My daughter is now 14 months. She loves to watch me set up the pins and knock them down. She thinks it is the funniest thing ever. She is learning herself to roll the ball and knock the pins down. I like the little bag that it comes in for easy storage. I am planing to buy this toy for a gift!!.

  • Great for toddlers and preschoolers

Its so nice to have a product that isn't made of plastic that the children will love and enjoy over time.

  • Great for Toddlers

I bought this set for my 3 year old niece, and she loves it! She screamed with excitment after opening the box! She's been playing with it since, and is even practicing trying to count them! I recommend it.

  • bowling for baby
    By A1GWJRBQ6I0NCZ on 2006-11-04
the baby farm friends bowling was excelent for babys because the pins and ball was softly with the animals in each one.

  • Pretty good toy
    By A3T8LG8W6YU801 on 2007-12-11
This is a pretty fun toy. I like that my 1 year old and 3 1/2 year old are able to play with it together. There are lots of things to do with the pins and ball, in addition to bowling. My only complaint is that the soft ball isn't heavy enough to knock down the pins when my 1 year old rolls it. She has to use a heavier plastic ball.

  • Bowl down the barnyard
    By ALQGJESV9J13P on 2008-01-07
These bowling pins are a great way to run and play inside with your young ones! The ball even makes a fun noise when you throw it!

  • The Kids Enjoyed it BUT...
    By A3V2WKNIFHFVT6 on 2008-03-09
My children really enjoyed this toy but I really didn't think it was all that great. The only thing they enjoyed about it was the ball. They threw it around a lot.

I couldn't get the animals to stand up right, EVER. It is not educational besides the pins are animals. Since the pins don't stand up though the kids don't really pay attention to them.

I ended up giving this toy away to someone who had a baby. I thought maybe it would be better for a baby who is learning how to hold things since the game part just doesn't work.

  • Best gift for baby showers, etc
    By A2SD4LBC68WD7U on 2008-05-12
I have purchased this toy for several baby showers. Everybody loves it, they end up purchasing as a gift for others. It is always popular. The animals have numbers on them - so it's educational and the ball makes a jingling sound when you roll it.
