Shinji Yagami had always heard the rumors about female students being raped on campus - everyone did. A Dark Side to Anime

There are those who find the Japinese view of women old fashioned and non PC. However it is educational to see how other cultures deal with morals and mores. DARK goes a bit far for my tastes. The use of rape as a theme is fair game. But not to include a real statment on the effects on the victum changes the anime from an art form to bad pornography. I have distroyed my copy.

Hey a lil of this kinda stuff never hurt anyone Besides amazon doesnt sell porn or as people like to reffer it as "hentai" i mean its not exactly a bad movie just rent it firs!!
Par for the course for Vanilla Series

This would definitely not be a Soft Serve Vanilla Series Title (such as Campus, or Endless Serenade). The premise behind the title (which is broken up into 2 episodes) is that there is a series of rape going on at the local school, and pictures from these events get broadcast on the internet. The main character sees these pictures, and his voyueristic and darker side kicks in as he find himself taking part in the "fun".
I'm not a big fan of rape hentai, myself, but this one wasn't bad, as far as they go. If you've watched Bondage Mansion (also Vanilla Series), it isn't even quite THAT bad. The characters were gorgeous, the scenes were fairly graphic, and the english dubbing was bearable. An average hentai fair.

I HAVE JUST BEGAN TO GET INTO THIS ANIME THING, AND I MUST SAY....IM HOOKED. IVE SEE MAI, SAKURA, AND THIS ONE. THE OTHERS WERE GOOD BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE..ITS SHOCKING BECAUSE THE MOVIE DOES EVERTHING MOST GUYS DREAM OF (INCLUDING ME):)
Rape may be fair game, but...

I thought this film was seriously lacking in plot development it just seemed to jump around or rather move from point a to b without really any storyline. Even though this is an adult feature i think that there should still be some storyline that actually suggests or shows the actual delemma that the summary entails. For me, it seemed too much of a straight forward transition from a to b and back to a again without any consequence to the main character--who also seemed to be marginalized as a main character. I think this lack of attention to the stor and its development has had an unintented consequence of turning me of the 18+ genre of animae--at least for the time being and has, also, made me quite sceptical of the Vanilla Series productions. That being said, there does seem to be 2 or 3 one or two minute portions of this DVD that make this DVD salvageable..perhaps barely so but they do keep me from given this a one star rating.
