  • Best of all the leapster games!

    By A20Z6ZF7SJJHYA on 2003-12-30
I bought a leapster for Christmas, and I have the Sponge Bob, the Dora, the Kindergarten, the 1st grade and the cartridge it comes with. Out of all those cartridges the one all my kids like the best is the kindergarten. My 7 year old played it today for almost 2 hours, my 3 year old played it for at least 30 minutes, and even my 5th grader enjoyed it for a whole hour. Of all the games it is the one that is the most like an educational game boy game. You are at a carnival and you are trying to earn tickets to build the funniest monster and to buy cool tunes for it to dance to for the show. You can then make the monster do funny dance moves for the show. Games to earn tickets include a balloon popping game that teaches opposites, a candy making game that teaches sequences/ patterns, a blaster one, and the fun house that is like a game boy where you have to find the letters to spell certain words. You earn red tickets at certain games and blue tickets at other games, then as you buy monster parts it teaches addition. I have to admit even I have enjoyed playing it and think it is the best of all the leapster games out.

  • What a Godsend!

    By A1PYG8UHNBBPET on 2004-04-06
My son is newly 5 years old. I first purchased the Leap Pad quite some time ago and it seems, even to this day, he's too young for it or he just gets bored of it quickly. I purchased the Leapster for Christmas and he LOVES it. On his birthday, I gave him the kindergarten software. (He will be going into Kingergarten this coming September). Its his FAVORITE one to date. Its like owning a video game, only EDUCATIONAL. He plays with it CONSTANTLY while learning his letters, numbers and even how to spell small words. I can't rave about it enough.

  • GREAT LEARNING -LOTS OF FUN!

    By A360YYJWNJ6BU0 on 2003-12-30
I have a 4 year old that got this for Christmas. I have been trying to get him interested in alphabet, numbers - anything!!! Well, this toy did it! He has spent more time learning than playing with his beloved action figures. I would recommend this item very very highly. Great games, very simple controls and easy to set up. Games have lots of levels that make it a challenge as they grow.
Can't wait for more games to come out.

GET THE LEAPSTER - it is that good.

  • The Leapster is BEST $ Spent

    By A1IF1WZRUS636C on 2004-07-17
My daughter got a Leapster for Christmas along with the Dora cartridge....she was 3 1/2 years old. She has played with it every day. We have never had any problems with it and just changed the batteries for the 1st time at 7 months. We got her this kindergarden cartridge for her 4th B-day in May. It is amazing what she has learned!!!!!! We also just purchased The Letter Factory cartridge for our last trip....it has taught her all her letter phonics...and in such a short time!!!!!! Thank you Leapster for such an awesome educational toy!!!!!

  • fun

I am six. I liked balloon kaboom the best, because you got to pop balloons and it was funny.

  • The BEST cartridge by far!
    By on 2004-04-07
This one is AWESOME and teaches so much~ I can't believe how much my little boy has learned. This one is his favorite by far~most like a video gane but 100% educational. Thanks Leap Frog for such great products!

  • Brilliant
    By A3VILPOHNJMTVL on 2005-06-29
I bought this for my little boys 3rd birthday, he loves Leapster. It has been dropped and banged and still works. He is now 3 and a half and can write his name and some other words, he knows all his letters and sounds. Leapster has really helped him. My little girl is about to turn 2 and she loves the painting programs.

  • Awesome Learning tool!
    By A2U7ZMK409CLIH on 2005-09-30
This educational tool is wonderful, helps children get the phonics beginning they need. Leap, tad and lilly make using this more fun for my 5 year old. I highly recommend this to anyone who asks!

  • Leapster games are fun
    By on 2004-04-04
My name is Skylar and I love to play the games I have for my
Leapster. My favorite one is Dora the Explorer. I love them all
though. I like the letter factory because it has taught me how
to say all of the letters in the alphabet. I really like the
drawing one also. I can't wait for the new games for my leapster
to come out. I also really need the battery pack also. My mommy
says she needs to buy stock in AA batteries. I Love Leapster

  • **A great leapster game!**
    By A10566TEP2SO6I on 2005-03-25
Santa brought this cartridge, the Leapster and some additional Leapster cartridges for Christmas to our little boy who is almost 4. Each game we have for the leapster my little boy has really liked but he does have his favorites and this is one of them that he will play longer than some of the other cartridges he has. It is full of learning games and the little carnival and little monster you get to build is so cute! You would have to play this game to understand, but it definately is worth every penny! If you are looking for something for your child to keep playing with after 3 months and to keep learning from daily- then purchase this cartridge!

  • Leapster is the best!
    By A1ZBEIL78MLR9Z on 2005-10-27
I bought this for my 3-year old daughter, she absolutely loved it, well worth every penny I paid, the downside is she doens't want to play her leappad any more.

  • Can you say ten stars
    By A2UKT61KI6L496 on 2005-01-05
There is not much to say about this reinforcer, You have to buy it to see what We are talking about. An the game it comes with is ok, but not hours play like this. It keeps my son occupied for about an hour (because I encourage him to do other things and I want to keep this exciting for him) But I love it. I hear him go, oh, mom, Just a little bit more. I am like five minutes. His brother is always over his shoulder, we will get him one for his birthday. :).

  • Great fun!
    By A2W9AZ2R2U843C on 2005-11-08
My daughter (age 4) loves this cartridge. She feels like a big girl getting to play "kindergarten" while she's still a preschooler! She enjoys earning tickets for the monster parts. This is definitely one of her favorite Leapster games! A must-have for the 4 and 5 year-old Leapster fanatics!

  • Great learning entertainment
    By A31ZBCYAUJENYV on 2006-01-30
My kids each recieved Leapsters for Christmas but we bought only one of each game for them to share. I had to buy another Kindergarten game because they both wanted to play it all the time! It is easy for them to navigate around the game and some of the levels are pretty challenging for them (they are 4 and in preschool).
I'd highly recommend this for kids their age! I'd highly recommend the Leapster, too!

  • excellent educational software
    By AZR3ISPCA7NTE on 2006-01-30
This software was easy for my 3-year-old to learn to use, and he feels rewarded by his accomplishments. The game also provides some wonderful games that help you to learn fundamental kindergarten skills without realizing that you are learning. Excellent!

  • Wow
    By on 2003-12-29
My five year old received this for Christmas along with the Leapster, the Spongebob Game, and Mr. Pencil. We are now begging him to go to bed. He is putting words together, etc. It is excellent!!

  • Teaching my learning disabled daughter so much so fast!
    By ARAHJ4DFOW7PB on 2007-09-29
I bought this for my daughter who has high-functioning Autism and did not learn anything in her Kindergarten class other that kids are cruel. She was called retarded by her classmates and I got little to no help from the school. I pulled her out and we started homeschooling her. I bought this to get an idea of what she knows and how she likes to learn. She loves this game, and has even learned how to spell a few words since playing it. She learns through play so this is perfect for her. I also bought her the first grade game when she is ready to move on.

  • My 5 year-old's favorite Leapster game!
    By A122EWGU044ONU on 2007-01-15
My five year-old chooses this game over Spongebob, Cars, and Dora just about every time he plays! It's awfully fun and cute, with the carnival-style games like popping balloons. He also loves making the characters jump, bounce on the trampoline, and hang from the tightrope as they move to catch letters and spell short words. As they play games and collect tickets, they can buy monster parts and build a dancing monster. My son LOVES feeding the tickets to the ticket machine (it reminds me of the Chuck E Cheese ticket machine!) The games themselves are fun, but this added motivation is icing for the cake!

By the way, my son got a Gameboy Advance from my mother-in-law for Christmas, but he hardly plays it. He still very much prefers his Leapster games!

  • Who doesn't love making monsters???
    By A3N0ZGOY1ESGCC on 2006-01-08
Another great leapster game! My boys love collecting tickets to buy monster parts. Who says learning can't be fun!

  • Fabulous pre and early school learning
    By A1YFQF62L3P5LS on 2006-11-10
Leapster is a wonderful, durable and entertaining product for young children. The Kindergarten cartridge has kept my 5 year old grand daughter captivated, entertained and enhancing her basic skills for hours. with a school teacher mother, of reading skills, this module has passed the test with full marks. Battery life is excellent. The unit survives the beating of a two year old sister without a hitch.

  • WOW! A MUST HAVE FOR ANY PARENT**
    By A20TV4PMONGLF1 on 2006-12-05
My son is 4, VERY active, never even watches t.v. for more than 5-10 minutes. I was more than amazed when I found him sitting down to use the Leapster for long periods of time. It's the first thing he grabs when he wakes up in the morning and the last thing I PRY from his hands at night. He even turned it on & started using it alone before I could sit with him to show him how to operate it. Very kid friendly! I use the Leapster on airplane rides, restaurant outings, etc. I even saw 2 other mom's yesterday raving about theirs at a local restaurant. I run a Parenting Center at an Elementary school and have ordered 10 for our student's to use. Can't say enough about the Leapster **** EXCELLENT PRODUCT! ****

  • Good game but son likes Jump Start World Kindergarten better
    By A2PLIN3FT3N5TM on 2007-10-03
My 5 yr old son really likes the Leapster Kingdergarten game when traveling or out an about. At home he ignores it to play his Jump Start World Kindergarten Computer game. I have to cut him off after an hour or so or he will play it until he is cranky. I like Jump Start becuase it gives mastery percentages broken down by skill for us parents. Leapster's building Monsters reward and earning tickets is not especially motivating for my son. For another personality or if you do not have a computer I recommend Leapster's kindergarten game wholeheartedly.

  • my grandchildren love the leapster !
    By A38ZY2KA00B6CI on 2004-01-15
It keeps them stimulated and encourages them to learn, and their parents prefer a toy that educates them as well as stimulates their imaginations. The only complaint we have is where can one possibly find an adapter for one? We have searched many different stores and web sites that sell the leapster, but to no avail. Other than the lack of an adapter, the leapster lives up to our expections.

  • this game is the best!!!
    By APQKBRE0M8G1L on 2005-12-29
Gave this to my 5 year old for Christmas. He LOVES it!!! The games are so fun for him and he will play them all day. He loves the fact that there are "rewards" (tickets) that he gets for completing the games and then being able to shop at the Monster Shop to build monsters is very fun and rewarding for him. Just a very fun game. Great way to get in some school reviewing with out it seeming like actual work. I tell him he can play this game or do some worksheets and e always chooses this.

  • Durable isn't even close
    By AJ5U7R2EELANH on 2007-06-12
My daughter lost this cartridge four days after I received it. It turned up in the washer (after the load had completed). I took it immediately to see if it still worked. All of the information was still saved and it works perfectly! My 5-yr-old really enjoys this game. I'm definitely going to be adding more to her collection.

  • A bit easy for kindergarten
    By A10K7LVW5QB47Z on 2008-01-16
This game is cute and has some good ideas, but it's definitely too easy for my kindergartener (luckily, he has a younger brother who can help us get our money's worth out of it). Just be aware that it's really more of a preschool game.

  • AWESOME!
    By AF18Z6MRMVY6N on 2004-01-19
I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH MY 3 YEAR OLD AND 5 (ALMOST 6 FEB.7TH) LOVE THIS GAME AND ALL THE OTHERS THE LEAPSTER IS A HUGE HIT IN OUR HOUSE! WELL WORTH THE MONEY!
IT'S A MUST HAVE WE MAY WEAR THIS GAME OUT! AND IF WE DO I WILL BUY AGAIN!!! IT'S JUST GREAT!

  • Hercules Is Loving Learning
    By A1NFA5GYQUA9HT on 2004-01-22
My son loves the Leapster. He calls it his "gameboy". My son (Hercules) was having a lot of problems with identifying his letters. He now can identify his letters. He loves to count and draw using the shapes. I think this is the perfect gift for any kid. I also love the way it is helping him with phoenetics and not just sight words. I would buy this for any child!

  • FANTASTIC TOY'S FOR KID'S!
    By A3LWERKGUWL15W on 2004-01-23
I have to say this is the best toy I ever got for my kid's.
My 4 year old son can't put it down. He play's with it for hours.
He's having fun while learning. I love that he can interact with
it. It's a MUST for every child!

  • Great game for 4-5 year olds
    By A3DJZP906AZ0WW on 2005-12-28
This game is a favorite of my 5yo. It has one game that must be manipulated with the arrow pad instead of the pen. I was impressed with how Leapster made this an easy skill to learn. My daughter loves collecting tickets to make a monster.
