Fisher-Price Healthy Care Booster Seatx$24.99

(618 reviews)

Best Price: $26.99 $24.99

The Healthy Care Booster Seat has a feeding tray you can sanitize right in the dishwasher. With the snap-on lid in place, the tray will stay clean until you're ready to use it. So you can take it wherever you go (it folds compactly) and always be sure that your baby is eating from a dishwasher-clean tray. Three height adjustments allow for a custom fit to any table. Front and rear seat straps adjust to fit virtually any chair and three-point harness adjusts to hold your growing child securely. Folds compactly for portability, with a carry strap so you can take it anywhere. (Weight limit: 45 pounds).

What do parents really want in a booster seat--and did you think you’d ever have to ask? Well, besides knowing the seat is comfy and accommodating, parents want two things: safety and convenience. The Healthy Care booster, about the size of a potty seat, gets good marks there, too. In the name of convenience: the seat back folds down and the tray snaps off for easier travel, and the plastic body is easy to clean off. To ensure a safe experience, the seat fits most chairs and car seats (but double check your brand), and has a 3-point harness to secure tots while in a chair or car seat. Light assembly is required. --Diane Beall MPN: 7275 - UPC: 027084054521

  • Awesome booster seat!

    By A2ZM9BGE3K3SY2 on 2003-12-29
I originally bought the "Swing Tray - Portable Booster Seat" because it was cheaper and I thought that it would be just as good. Well, it fell apart. I got this one and have been very please. It's is like a travel version of the Healthy Care Highchair.

There is a removeable feeding tray that can be put in the dishwasher. It has a cup holder and snaps right on to the main (blue) tray.

There are three different height settings. This is great for traveling because different tables can be different heights.

The back of the car and the trays are removeable, turning the seat into a booster for older and/or larger children.

The seat is all one piece and there are no seams or crevices for food to get stuck in. It also makes the seat very easy to clean.

The seat has a three-point seatbelt that adjusts, so it can accomodate a growing baby and toddler.

The booster folds up and even has a shoulder strap to make it easier to travel with. There is a lid that snaps onto the feeding tray. It is also dishwasher safe. I like the cover you can put on the tray, just so you know it's not getting dirty.

There are straps on both sides and on the back of the seat. This makes it much easier to fit onto a variety of chairs. This is great especially when eating out.

  • Definately one of my better choices in baby gear

    By A1XAYSI96X8YVH on 2004-07-23
I have made some unbelievably moronic choices when it comes to baby gear. This was definately not one of them!

I had originally wanted to just go with an infant to toddler feeding station set up, but then I saw and purchased a Peg Pergeo Prima Pappa out of the PennySaver. Oooooh, Peg Perego... Had to have it...

I hated hated hated HATED that chair. It was huge. The tray was too high. It had a zillion and one little nooks and crannies to get food into. I ended up shoving it back and forth between the kitchen and the laundry room for months. Once my baby really got into eating solids (which he didn't do until 7 months) I fed him in his bouncy, on the floor. I just didn't want to deal with cleaning that high chair. Even once he got to be a better (neater) eater, the space issues drove me bananas.

I sold it - at a loss - and bought the Fisher Price booster seat instead.

I love love love LOVE this little chair.

First of all, it goes on our dining room chair - so it takes up no additional space. My baby fits in it very comfortably - it is just his size. I can put Cheerios on the tray for him and he can pick them up and eat them (although it does seem he drops and sits in them about half the time, too...) No nooks and crannies so clean up is easy. We can easily pack it up and take it to a resturaunt and he is so happy to sit in his little seat, smack the tray, play with his toys, eat his Cheerios - we are able to eat out in public again. I never thought I would be a germophobic parent but I do appreciate being able to take our own seat along from a cleanliness aspect, too. This chair is inexpensive enough that if you are lazy, or just like to be prepared, you could even buy two and always keep one in the trunk of your car for going out.

I don't really see the point in having the tray insert - the tray is so easy to wipe down but, who knows. Maybe it will come in handy some time.

I do have some concerns about this chair really suiting a child from infant to toddler. It does not recline, as some of the other boosters do. However, in my experience, my child really was not ready to eat until he was able to sit up right. I think that a lot of people force solids onto children too soon, partly in hopes of getting their kid to sleep through the night sooner, partly out of deference to grandparents. You can always feed your baby in his bouncy, if he needs a reclining feeding seat.

It does seem a little small to fit a toddler into, but once the tray is removed and it is used as just a booster seat, it will probably be fine. I really like that your child can get so close to the table using this little seat.

Thumbs up, way way up, for this little seat. I plan to buy two more as baby gifts for my brother and cousin who are expecting babies in October (not with each other).

I recently purchased this seat for my 16 month old. Who is 33 inches tall and 25 pounds. We just needed something for going over to friends and/or family dinners/lunches. My child looked like a giant in this seat. He's much to big. The tray was on the lower part of his belly(leaving his bib out in the open to play with), and his buns were just about to big to sit in the seat.
I guess it's a nice booster for a smaller child, but if you are looking for something your child can use for a while I would recommend "The First Years" booster seat with tray. It works much better for a larger child...

  • You will love it, I promise!

I recently got rid of my very expensive Peg Perego high chair and replaced it with this. The high chair was impossible to clean and feeding time turned into a huge mess and left me with a major clean up job every time my 10 month old son ate. I don't know why I ever got a high chair to begin with. Just save yourself the hassle and get this booster instead. I can't think of anything bad to say about it!

The tray fits perfect in my dishwasher and comes out looking brand new after every wash. I love the fact that the tray has 3 different positions when attaching it to the seat; on the closest setting I can get it right up next to my son's chest so that any food he drops falls onto his BIB and not into his LAP (which is what happened with the high chair, I had to change his clothes after every feeding). There are no cracks or crevices for food to fall down into. I also love the fact that it folds up into a neat little square so that I can take it with me when we go to visit Grandma. It's lightweight and takes up much less space than a full size high chair. When not in use, I just slide it under the table so you can barely see it. I love the fact that there is no cushion or seat cover to wash. This booster seat wipes off so easily, I never spend more than a minute wiping it off and it looks brand new. I wish someone had told me about this product before I wasted money on a full size high chair!

  • Love It!!!

    By A11EHAYA9DFA49 on 2004-06-04
I bought this because, after two children and two big highchairs, I realized that I rarely used the highchair anyway, so what was the point of having this huge thing taking up half the space in my kitchen? I almost bought the fisher price healthy care high chair, when I saw this at the store. I figured that if I didnt like it, I could always use it for trips to grandmas house. Well, I LOVE it!! It stays on our chair VERY securely, the dishwasher safe tray(s) are great, and I can fold down the seat so that you dont even see it under the table! I put both trays on the bottom rack of my dishwasher with no problems (our water doesnt get to a burning point like some though). It is soooo easy to wipe up after she eats. I also got one of those temperpedic pillow things and cut it down so that it fits on the seat and then made a cover for it out of PUL (water proof but soft). She didnt really seem uncomfortable but I like my babies comfy! I dont think I will even buy a new high chair when the next one comes! I would recommend this to anyone. Oh and my 4 year old DS fits in it perfectly too!

  • As close to perfect as it gets!
    By A213MNNCABU95F on 2005-11-16
We love this Booster Seat. It's reasonably priced and has every feature that parents in the real world demand.

    The good:
    1) It travels well, as it can be completely folded in and it's straps used to carry it over a shoulder like a pack.
    2) It can be set at 3 different heights for different tables and for your growing toddler.
    3) It straps on securely and most importantly - QUICKLY!
    4) All straps adjust, both to the chair and to your child.
    5) It doesn't have any cloth or nasty nooks that are hard to clean... Just a quick wipedown is all that's usually necessary.
    6) Has a detachable tray with a food tray that comes with a cover. So you can play with playdough for 5 minutes before dinner on the main tray, and then break out your covered dinner when you are ready! Very convenient and sturdy.
    7) Solid construction. Our VERY strong 2 year old can't get out of it or break parts off.
    8) The straps will come off (with a little work) so they can be tossed in a washer
    9) The food tray is dishwasher safe
    10) It will grow with you as a booster seat even if you don't use it as a stand alone "high" chair.

I can't think of anything bad about it and that's saying something in the parenting world. Buy it and never look back. In fact, we just put in an order for our second one so we can leave one in the car so we are never without. It's simply fantastic. Our little one has started requesting this seat instead of his (soon to be retired) high chair. He loves eating dinner at the same table with his Mom and Dad.

  • We eat out A LOT.....
    By AFC0G11CFA3O3 on 2004-05-26
...and this seat is AWESOME!! We have the Healthy Care High Chair at home, but needed something to take with us to friend's houses, Grandma's house, and especially RESTAURANTS! We just keep it in the car so we have it whenever we need it (almost every day, it seems)
The straps are a generous length, so you can adjust to fit ANY CHAIR. The whole thing folds up and is easy to carry either by the back strap over your shoulder, or, our preferred method--by the handle on the seat back. We have been using this seat for about 3 months now (Anthony is 8 1/2 months old) and got our money's worth the first day! He couldn't sit up very well when we first got it, so using a high chair at a restaurant was out of the question (I still don't like the idea of him leaning forward and chewing on the wood of most restaurant highchairs). The high seat back on this booster chair and the built-in waist strap has kept him upright and secure since the beginning.
The best features for restaurant use are:
    1. Getting a table with chairs is much easier because the booths are always seated first.
    2. Your baby isn't hanging out in the aisle of a busy restaurant with hot food and drinks passing by. He/she can feel like a grownup being in their own chair right up to the table next to you.
    3. The tray is always clean because it has the cover (just wipe off when you're done so it's ready for the next trip)
    4. You can bring books or toys and the tray makes a nice "play" station--which keeps little hands off the main dinner table.
    5. It seems to be comfortable-- Anthony has never complained.
    and finally...
    6. It's just more sanitary. You know where your chair has been, who has been in it, and when you last cleaned it. Plus, the wait staff think it's pretty cool because they don't have to round up a chair or deal with cleaning up when you're gone.
    My advice:
Get this chair as soon as your baby is eating solids. I noticed that a lot of reviews were from people with older babies/toddlers, which is great because I know I'll be using it for A LONG TIME, but why wait?! This is one of the most practical, most used, and most favorite baby products I have purchased. Enjoy!!!

  • Forget high chairs, buy these!
    By A2E5P0U1NI7GQU on 2004-08-27
My recommendation on high chairs - especially for parents of multiples like us: Forget them unless you have an enormous kitchen! Ours take up WAY too much room, were expensive, and they are difficult to clean. What we got instead (and I wish I had gotten first, I never would have bought the two pricey high chairs) were these Healthy Care Booster Seats by Fischer-Price.

They quickly strap on any regular chair and have two trays plus a cover. (We use them on PVC outdoor-type chairs so that we can clean them off easily). The trays go in the dishwasher and the whole thing can be wiped down quickly. The trays are adjustable so that they fit the child MUCH better than the ones on our high chairs. The chairs can also be packed up and taken to restaurants and used for booster chairs, or even set on the floor to be used for little play chairs. They're great!! We get a LOT of use out of them!

The only disadvantage is that the babies really have to be able to sit up properly to use them, whereas with our high chairs we were able to use them slightly reclined for a couple months until our girls got strong enough to sit up straight.

  • I made the right choice!
    By on 2004-01-28
After exploring the internet for booster seats I decided on the Healthy Care by Fisher-Price. My 16 month old had decided that she didn't like her highchair any longer and I was skeptical that I was going to find ANY chair that she would like. Her grandma had bought the On the Go Fold Up and she wouldn't even sit in it. She seems to love being a "big girl" in her FP one. I love that it comes with a cover for the tray as we have two dogs and all highchair trays seem to attract dog hair (static). It really attaches snuggly to our chairs and is easy to clean. The only thing that I am disappointed in is the size of the tray-it is a bit small. Overall though I am very happy with this chair.

  • Why buy a highchair...
    By A2UVZISUGHQND2 on 2004-07-27
...when you can have a seat this neat?

Upon the advice of a mommy friend, we decided not to buy a highchair. We waited until our daughter was ready for solids at six months to even think about whether we were going to buy one or not. When the time came, we looked and I did my usual research on amazon and epinions. First of all, I couldn't find a highchair that got good across-the-board reviews. Second, I kept going back to the advice of my friend, which was to buy a booster seat instead.

Reluctant to add more baby gear clutter to our house, we shopped for a booster seat and this one got high marks. However, we went for another brand first because this one does not recline. Like another reviewer here noted, though, your baby really shouldn't be eating solids until she/he can sit up on her/his own anyway (my opinion and my pediatrician's opinion).

The brand I bought (The First Years) does not fold compactly, though, so on a trip we took via airplane I bought the Fisher Price Health Care Booster upon arrival to our destination, my parents' Florida vacation home. We loved it so much that my mother and I fought over who would get to keep it and where. They ended up taking it back to their permanent home in Tennessee, where it is now. We have it there for visits and whenever we are there I am reminded of what a great product it is.

Here are the features I love:

    1) The tray has a cover, so when you take the highchair with you places you don't have to worry about cleaning it when you arrive to your destination (germs from transporting it) and again when you leave (mess from the baby eating).

    2) It folds up relatively compactly. Imagine trying to take a highchair with you.

    3) It is easy to put together and install on any chair that has a back.

    4) The tray and tray cover are dishwasher safe.

    5) There is no padding to deal with, and no crevices that you just can't clean.

    6) My child loves it! She likes it at 10 months and still at 14 months. Even my nephew, who is almost 3, liked using the seat/booster part of it. After they reach a certain age or size, you can just use the seat portion as a booster without the tray.

    Excellent Product!

  • Great booster!
    By on 2004-03-13
My mom bought me this booster for my 18 month old son. He's 31" and 31 lbs. and he fits in the booster comfortably with the tray on. Other booster did not fit his belly, but he has a couple inches to spare. Like the healthy care high chair, he whips off the tray insert, but no big deal. The seat is super easy to clean, too. Don't hesitate.

  • Great seat!
    By on 2004-01-10
I read reviews about several booster seats and wasn't enthused about any of them so I take a gamble on this new one from Fisher Price. We used the Healthy Care highchair up until now and have been pleased with it so I felt safe trying the booster seat.

It is a great booster seat! Lots of nice features I didn't see on other ones. My favorite feature is the smooth seat that cleans up easily and doesn't trap crumbs.

My only complaint with the seat is that my son takes the top tray off and plays with it so we just use the bottom tray with him. It doesn't go in the dishwasher as easily as the top one. But this is not a big deal.

  • Best buy for price, portability, look and ability to clean
    By A1MI96CZGRIHPD on 2004-11-02
After contemplating a portable booster/high chair and reading reviews on the different brands and went with this one and am SO satisfied! I love that I don't have a big ugly plastic high chair with nowhere to hide it. When I fold down the back of the fisher price booster, it's hidden under the dining table and my home looks normal. When folded up, it fits perfectly in our stroller basket. We bring it with us everywhere: friends and families homes for dinner and restaurants (better than the unsanitary restaurant chair). I've even packed it into my suitcase when flying to visit relatives! It's nice for my daughter to have a familiar chair to eat in even if we're in an unfamiliar location.

When I bring it out to restaurants to meet my other mommy friends, they all gush over it. I'm so proud of my wise purchase. I love how the trays fit in the dishwasher - then I know everything is sanitized. I also like how when she grows out of it, it will fit in a small cupboard, where I can pull it out for guests. She's been sitting in it since 4 months (the tray holds her in) but my friend's 18 month old fits in it just as well. At only $25, we'll probably buy a second for our next child and it still won't interfere with our home's decor.

The only concern which my husband has is that if you don't attach it to a really stable chair, he's afraid one day that she'll knock herself over. But I think that's a concern that one should have with any high chair and never leave their baby unattended (althought the big high chairs definatly do look more stable).

  • Great for busy moms and active toddlers!!!
    By on 2004-06-02
I was so happy to find a booster tray with two trays in one. How many times has your baby eaten, made a disaster on the tray and on theirselves. Sometimes you don't have the energy to clean both baby and chair. The top tray is removable and can be cleaned later while the blue base tray is ready for the next meal!! Once they are both dirty just run them in the dishwasher.
Another perk is that you can take the white tray, have your babies meal already prepared with the lid and store in the 'fridge.
This booster is extremley portable (ex. grandma's, friends homes, restaurants).
The boosters seat back even folds down so the chair it is attached to still can be pushed in all the way. Perfect for parents who still like a house that looks like thier own and not completley taken over by baby stuff.
Above all else, our daughter loves it! She is comfortable, and she loves sitting along side us during meals. Great booster chair!!!

  • Really a 3.5...
    By A1HPXKNXSE5OQ4 on 2005-07-15
I own two of these chairs for my 2 year old, and my 7 month old...

I havent used a highchair since my first daughter was born, nearly 6 years ago... I found that these fisherprice chairs ARE the answer...

First of all they are very easy to attach to a chair, you use the bottom straps to secure the booster to the bottom of your chair, and then you use the straps behind the booster to fit it around the back of your chair... The straps are adjustable, and very long, so I doubt anyone should have troubles. The booster works best on flat chairs, and chairs that it can "grip" to... It just so happens my wooden chairs work well, espcially since the boosters have grips on the bottom.

The boosters have many commonly found conviniences of regular highchairs... First of all it has "3 trays". The 1st tray it the one-handed main tray, a.k.a the blue tray. Its quite durable and easy to use, and it stays on well for babies... My daughter (the 2 year old) has since figured out how to remove it, so she is in the booster while its slid up under the table top. The next tray is tray #2, or the white tray... it snaps on easily, and snaps off just as quickly... the only problems are (1) it doesnt cover the entire main tray, and (2) my baby was able to remove this tray in seconds, so we have both of them stoed away underneath the sink. And the last tray is the 3rd tray, the clear green cover... I am not too sure what use this tray provides, so it too remains underneath the sink. Along with the tray, the three point harness (that doesnt remove for cleaning and just happens to be WHITE!) contains the kids well, and niether of them have ever climbed, or fallen out.

As far as adjustable features go, there are many... Firstly, the chair has a few hieght settings so the tray can fit ontop of your table (which ours does) or the whole chair can slide underneath the table (which it does). There are also a few tray adjustments, but I find the farther you pull the tray out, the flimsier it becomes... but luckily, my son is still on the first level... The chair also can be used with the back, or without the back, and with the tray, or without the tray... Currently my daughter is still using the back, with no tray... and my son is using the back and the tray...

It would be a great "grow with me" booster if it were not for one thing, its tiny! My daughter is a little stringbean (tall and thin) and she is even rapidly outgrowing the confienments of the fisherprice booster! I recently purchased two hook-on chairs for them, and have been seeing which they prefer... and it seems that my toddler wants the hook-on chair, while my baby could care less! I am now giving my daughters booster to a friend, and leaving my baby in the booster until maybe age 1, only because (1) its easier to feed him while the booster is facing me, rather than at an odd angle while the hook on is at the table, (2) because the booster has a tray for self-feeding, and (3) because he is a bit TOO small for the hook on chair...

I would highly recomend purchasing a fisher price booster if you have a small child starting on solids, but once they get the hand of self-feeding, purchase a different booster, because quite frankly this one is just too small (although cleaning is a breeze with the lack of nooks and crannies!). And I would also like to add in that the boosters are much harder to travel with than the hook-ons...

  • My favorite baby item
    By A35C4KMENMU2MP on 2004-09-11
9/04 - I had my heart set on a traditional high chair, but my cousin advised me to just get a convertible chair that sits on a regular chair. I bought this chair, and I absolutely love it. We have had it about two weeks, and so far, we have used it at the dining room table, on the floor, in restaurants, at friends' houses, and took it with us on vacation. Try taking your regular high chair on vacation! We use it both for meals and play time.

My daughter is 7 months old, around 15 lbs. and can sit up well on her own. I was a little worried when I bought it that it might be a little too big for her, but the straps and tray adjust so that it fits her perfectly. It folds and unfolds very easily. She likes to lean over the edge, and it is very sturdy, doesn't tip. Sometimes I forget that she's fastened in and try to pick her up, but I can't, so it keeps her very secure.

Taking it to restaurants has been the best part. We have been to restaurants that don't have highchairs, or have big wooden highchairs. I just hate putting her in those, because I feel there is too much room for her to wiggle out, lean over, etc. The only minor disadvantage is that it is one more thing to carry on top of the baby, diaper bag, etc. But I'd much rather carry an extra piece than put her in a restaurant high chair.

Update 6/30/05 - at 16 months old, we still use this for my daughter and it shows hardly any wear. Still highly recommend!

  • So good, we bought 3 of them!
    By A3CAX1QW8BEYMA on 2004-09-20
Our daughter began solids earlier than expected and we wanted a nice, small chair that would not overwhelm her, but would also be something that was easy to clean and not too massive to move around. After looking at several high chairs, we opted for this one and couldn't be happier.
This chair easily fits almost any chair and is very lightweight and easy to take when going out to eat. The tray can be taken out and washed in the dishwasher and the tray cover is great for keeping messes on the tray and away from everything else. Plus, we can leave the seat on our dining room chairs and it is stored away under the dining room table. Also, when you take it for outings, it is very compact and is very easy to carry/store.
We were so thrilled with this, that we bought two more (as they are quite inexpensive) - one for the grandparents' and one for the car. That way, wherever we go, our daughter has a seat.
For those of you looking for a great seat to use for dining out, or for those like me who just really do not want a big high chair, this one certainly fits the bill.

  • Awesome booster seat!
    By A2NSFRWYNTYF32 on 2005-02-11
I bought this booster chair instead of a highchair to save on space, and it has worked out great! She can use this for years, and the trays wash in the dishwasher, and it was alot less money than a highchair would cost. I have since bought three more-- one we keep in the car for when we go out to eat, and one for each of the grandparents houses. It's a big help when eating out, as she can sit in it securely, and can play with toys or eat cheerios off of the tray.

  • Great Seat, Great Price
    By on 2004-01-19
This is easy to clean, portable, and comfortable for my children. I LOVE it, and it is replacing the big room-size high chair we were using that was a cleaning nightmare!

  • great booster seat - a must have
    By on 2004-07-06
We bought this booster seat for our baby when he was about 10 months old. (Now he's 17 months). We have a full sized high chair which we keep in the kitchen, but it was becoming a major shlep to move it to the dining room each time we ate there. So we bought this product. My baby loves sitting in it, and it doesn't take up any space. He loves to eat at the table with the rest of us. If you don't have any high chair yet, I recommend you only buy this. A full sized one is unnecessary, just take up a lot of room. The extra tray insert is also a great feature. We also take this with us whenever we go to eat by relatives so we don't have to worry about them having a high chair. It is easy to transport.

  • Easy Highchair/Booster
    By A1QT4B52OUQPZR on 2004-08-16
This Highchair/Booster is a good buy. It is easily stowed for company and folds up for travel. I also like that you can buy one product and your child can use it for years. Once your baby can sit up they can use this and it changes into a booster once they are eating dinner with the family, but aren't quite tall enough to reach the table comfortably. The straps are easy and washable. They also strap tightly around the chair so you can be confident it won't move. No problems here.

  • Awesome booster!
    By A204DIATWVZMWF on 2004-08-19
We bought this booster seat when our daughter was around 7 months old. I love it and she does too! It's a great travel booster, and I even use it at home instead of our bulky highchair! My daughter is now 14 months, and at a whopping 26 lbs she still fits in it nicely with the tray attached. When she's older, we'll use it as a booster alone. It attaches securely to chairs, fits in restaurant booths, cleans up in a snap...I couldn't ask for more! And the price is unbeatable! I highly recommend this chair (I just bought another for my nephew!)

  • Please be careful of tipping hazard
    By A3NDUBKYPI47N2 on 2007-05-20
I don't have a whole lot to say about this booster, but wanted to note to other buyers that there is a potential tipping hazard with the seat.

We visited with friends for lunch one day and they pulled out this booster and attached it to a folding chair and brought it to the dining room table. I sat next to my 10 month old daughter the whole time but simply did not react fast enough when she leaned forward and tipped the entire apparatus (the high chair and the adult folding chair) forward. Since the chair was facing the dining table, she ended up busting her lip right on the edge of the glass table. The booster with tray can be quite front heavy, so please be sure you only attach it to a very sturdy and preferably wide chair. My daughter is not a very active or bouncy baby, but she managed to tip it over while leaning forward. There aren't warnings to this effect on the booster seat, but I wanted to make the issue known to other parents for whom it may not have occurred.

  • great for infants and toddlers

We bought two of these seats to travel with for our 2 year old twin boys. We like them so much, that we packed away the highchairs, and use these seats everyday now too! We just bought a third seat for our four month old daughter who is starting on cereal. She is not sitting up on her own yet, but is able to sit in this seat quite securely when strapped in and with the tray in place. She loves to sit in her chair and eat with her brothers, or just play with a toy on her tray.

The contour of the seat is comfortable for little bottoms. There is plenty of room for our toddlers to sit, but not too much room - enabling them to squirm and turn around. (A major complaint we had with traditional highchairs.) The tray snaps on and off easily, but is secure enough that a child can't get it off himself. My boys can put the tray on by themselves, but cannot get it off - they have tried!! The different positions available for tray seem adequate. We put the tray on the middle tabs with our two year olds and they have plenty of "gut room". The child straps are great for extra security for an infant, or when not using the tray. The straps used for securing the seat to a chair work nicely on a wide variety of chairs.

There are a couple of things that are not "perfect". The cup holder on the removable tray is too small for some sippy cups. We just use the main tray. The back of the chair folds down a little too easily. When our boys try to get in their seats by themselves, the back often folds down when they hold onto it.

  • What a lifesaver!

Two words: BUY THIS! I have a one-year-old daughter who has been using this booster for MONTHS. I purchased this and loved it, but we forgot to take it on vacation with us and had to buy a different brand. I knew we loved this booster, but I REALLY knew it after trying another brand! In fact, we've purchased one for each car and one for use at home! We use it instead of a high chair at home, because our daughter seems to like it more, AND it's easier to clean! When we're in restaurants, I know she's eating from a clean surface, instead of the tabletop, and it's so easy to transport. I take her out to lunch with friends a couple of times a week, and I have no trouble carrying the baby, the baby bag and the seat. In addition, I have a friend who has a younger baby, and when they came to visit, she felt like her life had changed, because her baby seemed so much more content in this booster than in a high chair. She bought one immediately! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

  • This is a GREAT booster seat!

This is a GREAT seat! The tray is secure when it's put on and the feeding tray is dishwasher safe. That's a big plus! I love that it has a cover so I know there's no dust getting on it in between feedings. The seat itself is also very easy to clean. There are no places for the food to get stuck.

It's very easy to adjust the height, and the seat itself is very secure. It has a strap that wraps around the back of the chair, a strap that wraps underneath the chair, and the strap that secures the child to the seat!

It folds up for travel and one of the straps can be used to carry it over your shoulder. Very handy for when you have a wiggly child in your arms. This is a great seat and I highly recommend it!

  • Not for big toddlers

I took my 13 month old to BabiesRus to see if he liked this booster. They were nice enough to take one out of the box so that he could actually sit in it in the store. Good thing they did. At his one year doctor's appointment he weighed almost 24 lbs and was almost 32 inches long. He took up most of this chair. The clerk and I both agreed that in a couple of months he would outgrow this thing. Too bad. It is probably very nice, as so many of the reviews state, but if you child tends to be big, you might want to try before you buy just to make sure you can use this seat for a while. We went with another booster in the store and so far we are very pleased.

  • I love this chair!

I have twins so I need two booster chairs. This is the second brand that I tried. The first kind I tried is The First Years Swing Tray Portable Booster. I'm very glad that I tested it before buying two because I disliked it enough not to buy another. I'm happy to have found this one.

Here is what I like about this chair. These are all things that I do not like about the other chair.

    It came fully assembled.
The straps are easy to remove when they need to be washed.
It's one piece so no food gets caught in cracks and it's easier to clean.
My boys haven't figured out how to remove the blue tray by themselves yet.
It doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart and the back of the seat can't be removed easily by your child. (I am always picking up the back to the other chair off of the floor).
It folds up compact and is easy to travel with and store.
The removable white tray is great and takes up less space in the dishwasher. I also love the cover for it if you can't clean it right away.
You can adjust the chair height to the table height.

Here are the only problems, but they are not a big deal to me.

I can see is that it may be too small for bigger children because you can't adjust the height of the actual seat to give more room under the tray. That is the only good feature about the other chair. This is not a problem for me because you can adjust how close the tray is to your child, and when they get older and can eat at the table you don't need the tray anyway.
The white tray comes off easily, so when my boys got a little older I couldn't use it any more because they kept taking it off.

We don't have high chairs, we use the boosters and it works out great. I just wish that I had bought this chair first so I didn't waste my money on the other,

  • cute but not practical

I bought this seat because we have two other items from this this line (the gym mat and the jumperoo). It looks cute and the toys also made it more appealing to me. The downside was that it is frustrating to operate. The tray snaps into three places depending on the size of your baby. It is not easy to adjust the tray or remove it if you are holding your baby. Locking it into place also is not as easy. Although it has three adjustable height positions, even on the highest, I felt it was too short for my daughter. The toys are nice but for smaller babies. Mine is 8 months and she has limited interest in them. I would opt for something a lot more user-friendly.

  • We LOVE this Booster

We bought this chair to have at Grandma's house and for other outings since it is much easier to transport than our full size chair. I never expected I would like it as much as I do. I'm seriously considering trading Grandma for our big chair. The booster is soooo much easier to clean! All smooth surfaces with no creases or crevices for food to get stuck in. Also very easy to strap to chairs and to adjust.
