Poor Value

I have the Epson R300 printer and it does a nice job printing photos. I am sure lots of printers do as well. My Problem??
The ink is expensive and...
1. The cartridges are not full when purchased from Epson and
2. The printer shuts down when there is at least 20% of the ink remaining. How do I know? I cut one open and ink poured out.
I called Epson to see if there was an override available - no sir. So you are faced with buying expensive ink and changing cartridges that have a lot of ink still in the cartridge.

Wouldn't have bought the printer if I know the ink is going to be so expensive. OTOH, I might just buy more printers, sell the ink and be a multi-millionare. Better than winning the lottery.

At $1,000,000.00, this ink is a steal! My photos have never looked so nice, and I've spent up to $50,000,000.00 on ink so that I don't have to get them professionally developed (too expensive to have the pros do it).

I would have to give this 5 stars because, with this ink I was able to print over 40 pages of text. I know it sounds to good to be trus but yes folks over 40 pages. This wasn't regular text either, in was Font size 12 Script text ad here is the sinker, it was BOLD type not regular text
Smudges vs. runs!

This ink may not smudge much, but it sure runs - a lot!! The least bit of moisture and the words become illegible. I'm going back to HP -- as long as I'm getting ripped off on outrageous ink prices, I may as well at least get something that will hold up.

Okay, I don't get it. ALL of these FIFTEEN reviews were written on either October 29 or 30th. What are these people talking about it having a $1,000,000 price tag?? It costs $13.49!!! The only reason it's sold at this price is because it's the same size as the other color ones at the same price. The larger black ink cartridge for the CX6400 is almost twice as big, that's why it costs more. Gosh, people these days.But apart from that, I guess the cartridge is okay, I mean, what can you say about an ink cartridge. I had the printer to this cartridge -- BAD printer, the R300. Never worked. But I guess the ink was aight.

This ink is exactly as the original supplied with my printer. The original lasted over six months with no clogging or drying out.

I ordered this same cartridge in June and paid $13.68. It was a good price and I was happy with the product. When I went to reorder today, it was $18.40. It went up almost $5.00 for the same cartridge in 3 months. I think I'll check out my local office supply store instead. They still sell it for about $14.50.

I'll give it one more star, if the price drops by couple of hundred thousand dollars.But then the printers are so cheap (and you are not paying sales tax on this ink) that it may not be a bad deal at all

---- ok, this review was written when the price of this was a million dollar, price msitake on behalf of amazon.This is a great product though, I've used it for couple of time include one time as a gift. The quality of print out seems much better now. I think it's because of better quality of ink and it seems like it doesn't dry that often. Also, graphics which black heavy usage appears more uniform without shades of gray. So I guess, even if its using more ink, the quality is more uniform and better

This item, although pricey, is worth much more than it costs. They're actually selling the machine that makes the cartridges, complete with materials. You can earn your money back and more by selling the ink cartridges =)

At first, I was hesitant as to whether or not to buy it. But looking at all the reviews of other similar $1M dollar inks, I found out that, surprisingly, it had no competitors! No other company would sell ink of this high a quality! This ink was DEFINATELY worth my money...now the words I print look better than ever! I am definately coming back for more once I run out...(...) (...)

If only this item qualified for SuperSaver shipping I would have bought it. Too bad, :( now I have to shop around for a better deal.To the people who haven't figured it out why its so appropriately priced. This cartrigde has the special ability to print all the secret service document. I think they forgot to mention that you need security clearance to add this item to your shopping cart. Don't worry if they don't catch you there they will catch you at the check out.

The Epson T048120 ink works great, but even at Amazon's disounted price, buy the second time I buy ink I could have bought a new printer. The high price of ink is a hidden cost of inkjet printers.

After trying a cheaper imitation ink cartridge, I can now say that using Epson ink cartridges is the only reliable way to keep your printer working properly. This is mainly true for color accuracy of printed color material. Now I am convinced.

The service was speedy, as usual. I wish Epson would offer an online deal that includes all the ink in one pack. Currently only one store offers this, and it still is not as cheap as buying the 5 color ink and black ink packages through Amazon.com. Maybe most people go through black ink faster than the colors, but most of my Epson R320 printing is photos, so my ink use is pretty even.

The cartridge inserts easily and the ink doesn't run or smear.Epson makes a quality product but ink prices are just to high for how quickly it runs out. I bought my epson printer for $39.99 and have just spent over $70 on ink?!

This toner is not sold any cheaper around here. It is so worth it to have your toner cartridges arrive at your home without searching the shelves for the right one. I LOVE the fast service and every cartridge I have received has been full and has worked until the last drop is gone.
