  Well, stung a second time on Belkin products--shame on me! I open the package, plug 'er in, and the left channel sorta works, sometimes, if you wiggle it around a little and don't move when you get both channels. Should have paid a little more.
  
  Before this, a $80 power converter (12VDC to 120VAC) that crapped out after a month of extremely light usage. No more Belkin for me!

  it's stable and when you plug your earphone in it won't come out easily which is good and the sound come from the ipod is really good~~ just prefect !! I can share my music with my friend when ever I want

  Amazon asked me to write a review so here it is. I got this splitter to plug into the back of my iMac so when I play music, I can sent it to TWO sound systems at the same time. One Bose, and the other a BrandX with a killer sub-woofer. Probably not what is was supposed to be for.. Like sharing tunes with a friend on ONE MP3 player. No one wants to listen with me to *MY* choice of music, so that would not work for me! Anyway, I digress;
  
  Amazon shipped it quickly and it arrived intact. Amazon *always* handles my orders quickly and effeciently. The quality of this Belkin dealie is as expected for the brand name it carries. Most excellent!!!

  Have you been with your IPod, or mp3 player, experiencing great music or maybe watching a movie and someone appears and ask you what is that your enjoying so much, and although you want to earbud that someone you can't because there is only a pair of headphone and you don't want to miss it? Well that problem is solved with this simple gadget. You just connect two headphones and you and that someone can experience the same thing simultaneously. It is really inexpensive and it does not harm the quality of the music or whatever is it your using your mp3 player for. So it is highly recommended...

  This audio splitter is great. Not only is it white, which in my opinion looks better, and is more "stylish" compared with the generic Black kind. The connectors are also gold plated, though product specs say it is nickel plated, making the audio loss a minimum. I personally bought 3 of these, which I connected into one audio output from my computer resulting in making my one audio output into 4. These splitters work great, since the two female connectors are separate, it doesn't interfere with how big the audio plug is. (for those 3.5mm plugs that are so fat, you have to squeeze to fit other plugs in) I havn't had any problems with these, no audio loss, sound isnt cracking like other splitters. Personally, from my experience these are cheaper in price, but better in quality. Two thumbs up.

  Product works exactly as expected. I am using three (L/R, C/Sub, Rear L/R) of these to seperate the sound out of my PC between my 5.1 surround sound and my 5.1 surround headphones. The split signal sounds great coming out of either the system or the headphones.

  Yes, I drive students. Yes, they are constantly leaning out of their seat to hear an mp3 player through someone else earphones. That had to stop for safety reasons. This little, inexpensive item, saved a lot of write ups.
  They now, just borrow one from me, as they get on the bus, and can use their OWN earphones. No more leaning out of the seats.

  I purchased this splitter to route audio from my computer to a 2.1 speaker set and to a 5.1 receiver. So far, so good, I've had no problems with it. It's a real simple component but simple problems don't necessarily guarantee simple, reliable solutions. It looks like we have a winner here.

  With the addition of a new HD television set and this splitter, I have been able to hook-up my computer system to output audio through both the TV and the computer monitor.

  This is a nice little splitter. Gold plated connectors, white cabling. It looks nice and does the job. I bought several of them to split the output of an IR blaster to run to multiple components. Most IR blasters use this same jack size, so it works well for this even though the cable is intended to allow two stereo headsets to be plugged into a single minijack.

  This was the best thing I've ever purchased at an airport, despite the fact that I paid $10 for it. Being able to watch movies on my iPod in stereo WITH my girlfriend made our flight cancelations and delays a little less tragic. :)

  I work in the computer lab in an elementary school. We only have enough computers for half a class, so if a full class comes in, for the kids to use the educational software, in the past we had to unplug the headphones so two kids could work on each machine, and the noise level in the room got ridiculous. With the splitters, we can now run 2 sets of headphones on each computer, and things are peaceful again.

  I am happy with this purchase. In my elementary school computer lab we sometimes have a need for two students to listen on one computer. The price of this item was low enough for me to outfit the entire lab for under $40. The item is easy enough to use that I can simply hand them out to the students and they can install them. We have even been able to "piggyback" them so that we had three students listening at one computer and all three could hear just fine.

  I bought these with the intent on using them with my iPod but I found that my kids use them much more than I do to listen to their portable dvd player in the backseat while on long car trips. They work great....I can't tell any kind of sound loss while using dual headphones (although, admittedly I'm not an audiophile). They seemed to work fine with everything I tried them with....iPod, DVD player, home stereo, car stereo.
  
  Can't really go wrong with these, and plus the price is pretty dirt cheap. I'd just pick up another pair if these got lost or damaged.

• Not exactly what I was looking for

  I had two problems with this item.
  1. I can't use it with my iPod without taking the case off first - the connector is too wide to fit through the opening (I have an iFrogz case).
  2. The item was not a Belkin product. I threw away the packaging and I can't remember who made it now, but I didn't see anything on it that said it was made by Belkin.
  
  Other than that, it seems fine - just not exactly what I needed.
  
  For a little more money, I ended up buying the Griffin splitter (see link). It has individual volume control which is nice and it comes with an adapter that I can use with any headset without removing the case from my iPod video.
