this is the pan you want! By AK8L2GQYMK6EH on 2008-03-27
To make a really good angel food cake you gotta have this pan WITHOUT the non stick feature. I've had this pan by Wilton for over 20 years and my mom had it before me. I've been looking for another one so i could make two and couldn't find this one or any pan that is NOT non stick. The feet on this pan is a must so that you can cool it upside down in the pan. Highly recommend this pan!

Still highly recommend this pan for angel food cake. A must have.
Perfect By A3PBR5571OLEJC on 2008-05-07
This pan works perfectly, better than any other pan I've tried (including non-stick) for angel food. The aluminum (not too thin, not too thick) has a subtely machined finish that the angel food climbs easily. The pan is nice and tall, and has "ears" to keep the pan off the counter during cooling (keeps the cake from collapsing, and keeps the cake-top crunchy).
If you've made angel food before, you know that it relies on sticking to the pan sides in order to rise. With non-stick pans (which this is not and you don't want) either the cake won't rise fully if the sides are too slick, or if the cake climbs correctly it has by definition stuck to the sides and you will ruin the pan's coating when you go to saw out the cake with your knife. With this bare aluminum pan, the cake climbs fully and there's nothing to damage - saw away. A brief soak and it comes clean easily. Perfect.
Perfect Pan By A2DZYQQPZHYV73 on 2008-07-03
I bought this pan after I got tired of buying angel food from the grocery store and being disappointed every time. There is nothing like a homemade angel food cake! This is the perfect pan. You will love it. Cleans up easy and the detachable bottom is great along with the tabs on the top so you can invert it in the pan instead of on top of a bottle like when I was a kid.
Wilton Angel Food Pan By A39XGHOCPBIIF1 on 2007-12-18
Item arrived in record time. The product is just what I wanted, can't find a angel food pan without non-stick coating in any store.
Cheap, thin metal - tube insert very warped By A21WX6G3H98C0K on 2009-09-17
The first thing I noticed when I got this pan home was that the tube insert was extremely warped. It was just shoddy workmanship and certainly showed little to no quality control. I also was surprised at how thin the metal was. It just looked and felt cheap. I hoped that wouldn't matter when baking a cake in it. After all, I told myself, Wilton is a well-known brand.
After removing the cake from the pan, I saw that my concern about the warped insert was justified. The whole cake was tilted or crooked -- not something you'd want to serve to guests. After frosting it, it looked even more crooked.
And when cleaning up the pan, I found that it was very scratched up after only one use. That was enough to convince me that I would be returning this pan.
- Great Pan
     By A2UVI55G1BQ7CX on 2008-11-02
The pan worked like a charm. It is important to get a regular (not non-stick variety) pan to make angel food cake and this pan fit the bill perfectly.
- Wilton Angel Food Pan
     By A2NEPKW6CY8V6J on 2009-09-12
Flimsy thin construction. Insert was warped and doesn't seal properly. I found a sturdier pan at Sears with a lipped edge on the insert bottom that seals well and it was cheaper.
- 3rd pan
     By A3G8ABJ9ENPGM8 on 2009-05-29
I bought one of this mini pan years ago, and just started to use it for a mini chiffon cake by splitting the batter from the big chiffon cake. I like the mini so much I bought a 2nd one and ended up given it away to my good friend. This is my 3rd pan so I have a pair for myself. This pan is perfect for mini chiffon, so cute and you can bake one for yourself and one to give away or freeze.
- 7" angel food pan wonderful
     By A31HR2I92NTSHA on 2009-04-08
I purchased the Wilton 7" angel food tube pan for a downsized cake recipe for two. This pan is perfect for two to six servings. The cake was excellent and the pan cleans up nicely.
- Perfect Angel Food pan
     By A3AWXH8AWGUG6O on 2008-08-03
I bought this pan recently and have already made several cakes in it. It's absolutely perfect for angel food cake, and the feet make cooling it properly so much easier. As one of the other reviewers mentioned its rare to find a cake pan that isn't nonstick coated, and that is just cast aluminum, which conducts heat well, and is easy to clean. Things do *not* stick to it.
- Really good pound cake pan
     By A2MRG7JZRUSIVI on 2010-05-06
I replaced my decades old bent up pan with a non-stick one. My cakes would not rise. Ordered this one and my cakes are high and tasty again!
- Perfect Replacement
     By A1K9SILOTDKJTC on 2010-05-03
When I discovered I had lost my reliable, 20-year-old, angel food pan, I borrowed one from a neighbor. That pan leaked cake batter from the bottom. I then went to Amazon and found Wilton Angel Food Pan, 10 Inch. I ordered it even though I feared the quality of a newer pan might not match that of my old one. The pan works as well as my old one; bakes evenly and does not leak batter. It is not non-stick as that surface is undesirable for some cakes.
- A Great Basic Pan
     By AA5XAQSSFX1YK on 2010-03-14
This is a perfect size for my smaller family. And in this diet conscious time I find even when I entertain everyone want's a "tiny" piece. This is a great basic pan. Easy to use. The rivets that hold the three cooling prongs don't get in the way, since the even cooking of the aluminum allows the cake to pull away evenly from the sides as it cools.
- Good size pan for 1-2 people
     By A3OXC797UCKMBU on 2010-01-28
I live alone and I was looking for a angle food cake pan for 1-2 people and this is the right pan! The bottom of this unit is around 6" while the top is around 7". The only thing that bugs me is that the knobs do not flush against the interior and I need to work my knife around the knobs to release the cake. Another thing I notices is that the removable insert is think hence it gets warp easily. Other than that everything else works great!
- Boy Was I Disappointed!
     By A1WXX7VUNQ16IT on 2010-01-13
This has to be the worse product I have ever purchased from your company. Most of the time I am more than pleased with what I buy at amazon.com. However this is a first, and I am extremely dissatisfied. I needed a 10" pan for fruit cake, and as I had purchased Wilton with success before I did not think twice about putting out for this pan. But as soon as I opened the box and saw the product I sensed I had made a mistake. It was inferior especially to my Chicago Metallic tube pan to any of my baking pans. It was too light weight, and poorly crafted. I went ahead with the cake any way, and boy was that a mistake. The cake browned way before it was done, and within 40 minutes and the baking time was to be 2 hours it showed signs of cracking. And to make matters worse it was hard as a rock. I thought Wilton was a top notch product. Now I know better. One mishap will not prevent me from shopping Amazon, but I will think again before spending money that I do not have on this brand. Thanks for previous great service, but this time you flopped. Perhaps I'll use it for a door stop!
- The best pound cake pan ever!
     By A3BLN6H22R8IKU on 2009-09-11
I have used many different and well reviewed cake pans for my pound cake without much success until now. The Wilton Angel Food Pan without a doubt gives the best result.
- Wilton Angel Food Pan - 10 inch
     By A1J80NN0SCOH72 on 2009-02-27
This was a gift to my granddaughter, as Angel Food Cake is her husbands favorite cake. I have had my Wilton Angel Food pan for years and love it. I know she will use it quite often.
- Don't use grease just use glue instead
     By A2XVP1G77LBQ2M on 2008-08-15
The pan is great but for an item that you don't grease for Angle Food the manufacture uses a glue for labels that doesn't come off. I've spent 45 minutes using hot water/soap , peanut butter and goo gone it won't come off the inside of the pan or the bottom of the pan even with scrapping. Once you bake in it with the glue you have a nice nasty brown spot. I will never buy another pan from Wilton with a glued in label.
- LEAKS......!!!!!!
     By A3AK1O8DRB186H on 2010-06-20
I gave this pan as a Christmas gift. It LEAKS. It does NOT keep the cake mix in the pan as it should, and even if you put a cookie sheet under it, it will leak out the cake mix, and not raise as it supposed to. Of course this could be due to the fact that my first order came through without the bottom piece...But I did return it for a complete set. Not sure now if it was a complete set, or just two different pieces of a set they put together?
All in all, I wouldn't recomment this pan to anyone!
