Great Cable, Great Price By A16URPJBSFLFQC on 2006-05-25
Purchased a Mac Mini. Needed a DVI cable.
My only local choices were Radio Shack and Circuit City.
RS had only one choice, a $105 dollar Monster Cable (6'). Pass
CC had only once option, a Belkin for $70. Bought, knowing that I wanted a cable immediately, but also figuring I'd find a cheaper one online. And find it I did, in less than 90 seconds.
Looking at my display (a ViewSonic N3200W 32" LCD TV/Monitor), I cannot tell the difference between the two. So.. Returned the $70 cable and am very happy paying only 15% as much, even including shipping (The cable came 2 days later, even without "expedited shipping").
So.. Great cable at a great price.
Why pay more? By A6J65Q31CSTMW on 2005-08-14
Circuit City and other stores for people of average intelligence sell a similar cable for $69.95. This one is of excellent quality and less than a quarter of the price. Why pay more for the same thing?
Rated 4 stars cause I don't know what a 5 looks like! By A310948KD2ZG2U on 2004-06-17
I dont know what the monster cable series dvi's look like so that's why the 4 stars but I can tell you the picture with 'cablestogo' is slightly better than component which I noticed on certain shows on DiscoveryHD but not much of a difference. All I really know is how much cheaper it is to monster, but I'm curious of the difference.I have the toshiba 30hf83 30" which I love so someone tell me if the pic quality is better with monster(not the cord design, that I already know)I'd like to know.
check the bottom line By A1J7WH2OR8UHME on 2004-10-11
this product is *not* sold by Amazon-dot-com but by a subsidiary of an affiliate company. they wanted to charge me $8 "shipping and handling" PLUS TAX for a $10 cable. $19 is too much to pay for a $10 cable. i can do much better locally.
Tech Depot / Office Depot was good about letting me cancel the order, to their credit. but avoid the hassle, check the bottom line. if the convenience premium is worth it to you, go for it, but be aware...
Works like it should By A2TOCBLEE7NIXQ on 2006-08-12
I needed the analog port on my Samsung SynchMaster 191T for a second PC to connect to, so I bought this cable to replace my missing DVI cable and connect it to PC #1. Shut everything down, installed the DVI cable, booted up - and it works perfectly. Definitely worth what I paid on Amazon (almost half the full price at the time).
- Mac Mini to RCA Scenium - Thumbs Up!
     By A2ELBBHG5K2M75 on 2005-09-20
I was a little nervous about hooking up my Mac Mini to my 50" RCA Scenium (rear-projection DLP HDTV-ready), because a couple of days earlier I connected the Mini to my SGI 1600SW through the SGI MultiLink adapter, and got green speckles on the display whenever there was motion. But with the higher-quality Dual Link cable, there was no problem at all.
Unfortunately, the Scenium has a significant amount of overscan, and MacOS X isn't really set up to exclude screen real estate, but both DVDs and TV signals (recorded through a Plextor ConvertX) are quite clear.
- Good affordable cable
     By A2E2YH993TVYRM on 2005-10-02
This dvi cable is a great value for the price. DVI cables in my area cost 5x higher so this was the only way to go for me. I highly recommend this item if you don't want anything longer and need to have a dvi connection that isn't going to break the bank.
- good cable
     By A2UMKQ8FXQ3OEG on 2006-03-15
I needed a DVI cable to hook up a flat screen monitor to my PC. Amazon's price was lower than local stores and a short digital cable is pretty hard to mess up. This is a good product. The digital connection looks better than the analog (VGA). I'd recommend this cable (although I thought I bought from Amazon and now they aren't listed as a seller).
- Works as it should
     By A3SRYDQK0XHIJE on 2006-08-06
Bought this cable to go with my Samsung 730B Syncmaster 17" LCD Monitor its a good buy works as it should
- Good cable, too bad I had to buy it though
     By A3EL5YZG4O7TPH on 2007-01-29
First off, I want everyone to know that I am idiot. When I was bringing my monitor home for Xmas break I managed to bend/break a couple of the pins in the cable that I had that originally came with my monitor. This cable works just as good as the one that can with my monitor when I bought it and at the time that I bought it it was the cheapest cable the I could find.
- Very well built
     By A2XIB400G5BJMQ on 2007-06-11
Works perfectly connecting my Mac Mini to my Westinghouse 42". Solid construction. Incredible price. Can't go wrong.
- A Great Deal
     By A3HW445DMEDLZY on 2007-07-14
Don't waste money on those other overpriced cables. This item is a good quality item at an incredible price. The picture quality is excellent. This one is actually something you shouldn't pass up.
- Great Cable
     By AI5CLDO5EA6U on 2007-02-08
I recently replaced a PC with a Mac laptop. The only video output on a Mac is a DVI-D port; I had been using the DVI-to-analog converter that Apple shipped with my laptop. I notice a pretty good improvement of the picture quality, probably due to the replacing the DVI-to-analog converter and another analog cable with a single cable. If you're considering replacing a DVI-to-analog setup, this cable is well worth the $14.
- Very good cable
     By A10XB56QFYLVC8 on 2007-05-02
This is a very high quality cable. It may not have the expensive marketing of Monster, but it has all the right materials, specifically high-performance polypropylene foam dielectric on the signal lines. The connectors are large and solidly molded. Cable diameter is somewhat large at about 9 millimeters or 3/8 of an inch, but that's a result of the good internal construction. That favorable construction also results in a cable that's somewhat stiff, but fully managable. Be sure to get a cable long enough so you can have some slack to make a strain relief loop at the connections. (In other words the cables should not be pulled tight at the connectors or into sharp bends anywhere. Bends should be gradual, with large radii.) Cables To Go also has 3 and 5 meter versions which Amazon sells, and probably other lengths also. It may take some searching to find them, but it's probably worth it.
- Works great
     By A1OBLTXJJ5ZHMA on 2007-05-20
I was looking for a DVI-D digital video cable to connect my new monitor to a laptop docking station. I looked around locally for a cable and I couldnt find anything that was reasonably priced. I ordered this from amazon -- since it was dirt cheap, I wasn't sure if it would work well. I am glad i took the chance -- it works great. The image quality is very good too.
- Doesn't completely connect to Video Card
     By A2FG6H5Q6A74W5 on 2007-07-21
I have a standard EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS Superclocked 640MB PCIE video card. It has a STANDARD DVI out. For some reason the 2 screws on the sides that screw into the video card do no reach the nut on the card where they are supposed to screw in. Other cables do just fine, but this cable does not. This is rediculous and very annoying. I would send it back but I'm just going to have to suffer with it because I don't have time for that right now. It was inexpensive but I guess you get what you pay for, so yeah, it's not only inexpensive but it's cheap. Don't companies test their products, things like this just blow my mind and make me sick, whoever gave this product the go to put on the market should be fired on the grounds of being STUPID!
- Nice Cable - Works Great
     By A21LRQT5HMD607 on 2007-04-11
After upgrading my computer's video to one of the high end card and upgrading my Monitor to a nice flat LCD (Norcent), I realized Standard VGA connection simply not doing the job. I am running Windows Vista Ultimate and display was getting analog connection (with a lot of visible lines). I went to some of the local stores and realized they are nothing but trying to rip people off. I got this from Amazon and right away my connection changed from Analog to Digital and awesome display. I simply love it. I probably would have loved it even more if the connectors were gold plated. But the way it is, does its job (very well, I should add).
- Excellent Value
     By A3GM7JU02WTOSG on 2007-05-07
Very reasonable price for a dvi cable--you really don't need the monster cable--probably couldn't see the difference anyway--a very good value
- Can't see the difference between DVI and VGA, but..
     By A2BJUKAFLIW3OT on 2007-06-11
It looks good regardless! Maybe the screen doesn't really need it...works for me! Item was delivered quickly, too.
- Great with high res monitors.
     By A2XRIU3SOYZ0ZC on 2007-09-02
If you have a high resolution monitor and are using standard cables then you are not getting the best display possible. This Digital video cable is great with a high res monitor because it lets the digital signal pass through it and this gives a crystal clear display that is sharp, colorful and bright. If you are a pc gamer and have a powerful video card and a High resolution monitor then you need this cable to connect the two and get a great display.
- Works as advertised.
     By A1LY46PBFQKDSL on 2007-04-02
This cable is about 5 times less expensive than locally. Good shipping speed. The digital interface increases the clarity of an image on a LCD screen while also removing the need to adjust the position of the picture in the screen.
- quality cable for less
     By A3GQ2MFJUMPH8T on 2007-07-09
hooked up to a media center pc and 22" widescreen lcd monitor(replacing the vga cable)and can definitely tell the difference.great value for the money!
- Works just as expected.
     By A1G89S3SABJV5I on 2008-01-04
I got a new Samsung monitor and needed a DVI cable to connect it. This cable works great. You may want to do a little homework on DVI cables before you buy to ensure you get the right one.
- Worked for a month
     By AJSJB2QGN0WKX on 2007-01-10
The cable failed after a month. No idea why, but could be because it cost ten dollars. Oh well, back to analog.
- works flawlessly
     By A2WX8F1IESDVGZ on 2007-03-08
Not much to say about a digital cable. It was a good price and it works. I use it to connect a MacBook (with mini DVI adapter) to a 20.1" Sceptre X20G-Naga LCD (which is beautiful by the way).
- 2m DVI-D cable
     By A3GBMWLQPOZ24Q on 2007-03-14
Good Product no problems so far except I had to bend back one side of the connector that plugs into the video card because it wouldn't go on properly other then that it works wonderfully and my fps went up because of it
- Great cable, good price...you can't go wrong
     By A26E22W18A41KW on 2007-03-19
Great cable especially for the price. Upgraded from analog D-sub cable to this DVI cable, immediately noticed a difference in quality on my LCD.
- Quality Product Prompt Delivery
     By A1TA8AGMG82YOG on 2007-03-23
Received item in excellent condition and promptly. Well packed. Okay by me as a seller. Thank you very much
- No issues
     By A38IE6LVA4181P on 2007-04-03
Using this digital cable between a Vista PC and NEC monitor. No issues.
- It works
     By A1F95U4KUK22DC on 2007-09-23
It's a cable, it works, and it was cheaper than Monster Cable. Have had prior quality issues with Monster Cable and I think you are paying for the name and the salary of the marketing people that come up with such imaginative descriptions for a cable. This cable worked fine for my 22" LCD monitor and I doubt a more expensive cable would make any difference. Cable used for light duty use and I would question the cable termination with the connector if this cable was used during travel or continuous bending and flexing.
