The Wiggles - Toot Toot!x$2.00
    (109 reviews)
Best Price: $2.00
After one ride in the Wiggles’ Big Red Car, you’ll be giggling and wiggling non-stop. "Toot Toot®!" and "Chugga Chugga" along with Australia’s hottest children’s band as they sing and dance their way form space trips to pirate ships. Join Jeff, Murray, Greg and Anthony, as well as Wags the Dog, Officer Beaples, Zardo Zap and many more, for a ride you’ll never forget. Start the car and honk the horn. It’s time to "Toot Toot" with The Wiggles.
A beloved children's band from Australia, The Wiggles are four music-making guys: Jeff, Murray, Greg, and Anthony. When the Big Red Car (a whimsical dune buggy) won't start, or as the Wiggles say, no "Chugga, Cugga, Toot, Toot!," it's an ideal time to sing and dance. There are songs about walking across the street and eating foods that are healthy as well as some that are more familiar like "Head, Shoulder, Knees, and Toes" and "Look Both Ways." The lads stir up a whole lot of energy with the help of their costumed friends, including Wags the Dog, Officer Beaples, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain FeatherSword, and Zardo Zap. Their videos have a retro '60s feel, very upbeat and fun. It's easy to see why they are so popular in the land down under. Ages 3 to 6. --Peggy Maltby-Etra

A magical experience! By A2RNUPVSNW1ZXX on 2001-01-24
Toot Toot is one amazing show! I loved this video! It is full of fun songs, dancing, and joy. It truly is a rare magical treat. I have the other Wiggles videos and I like them all, but this one stands out above the rest due to the show quality choreography and the movie-like rhythm of each song. The short skits in between are very funny and flow perfectly with the story. It is like watching a really good movie, which makes you feel like a joyful kid again. If you are in a bad mood watching this video will surely cheer you up. My baby is only 5 months old, but she loves watching The Wiggles. I am 35 and I love it to, and so does my husband. The songs are very good and catchy. The only problem is they will sing in your head while you try to sleep at night. The dancing is spectacular! In fact, I advice you to throw away all your aerobics videos, and dance to The Wiggles moves in this tape instead. It is much better due to the shear fun factor and the variety of steps, most of which are high impact aerobics. The Wiggles have the formula perfected for childhood imagination, fun, song and dance! This is a wonderful video to sing and dance to and it will make you feel young, happy and carefree too. What could be better then that for a child, or for a child's parent for that matter? No home should be without this video. I hope The Wiggles are aroud for a very long time.
Toot Toot Red Car By A1LGFZZ3AH7L02 on 2001-04-05
I'm not sure why we ever brought this video in to the house, but my son (24 months) is absolutely obsessed with it. He requests it by name about 3 seconds in the door home from day care. My husband and I constantly have the catchy songs stuck in our heads. The adults, kids and characters in the video are happy and active, although my son barely blinks during his viewings. Bottom line, he loves it, the songs are positive and teach things like how to cross he street, and luckily there is more than one video by the Wiggles so we can get them and at least have some variety (i hope). The Wiggles are a huge fad right now with the 2-3 year old circuit here in Seattle. They have everything toddlers like:cars, food, animals, kids, singing, dancing, pirates, cowboys, aliens. I recommend this video to anyone with a two year old. I encourage you to try to get them to move around while watching the video. Sure you'll go a little crazy, but who with a toddler isn't?
Toot toot the best yet By A3V7B1D06G9E3M on 2001-02-10
When you're buying videos for the kids, you have to find something they like and that you won't mind seeing 4 times in one day. The Wiggles tapes are about the only things we've gotten that really fit the bill. Our 3-year-old loves them, our older kids dance to them, and we don't have to find the time to do a work-out video because we can dance along. Toot Toot is the best Wiggles video yet - the production values are more sophisticated, the choreography is crisper, and the songs are integrated into the overall video better. I'm not sure how to describe them to people who haven't seen them - it's like PeeWee's Playhouse, only really for kids. The actor/singers seem to really enjoy what they're doing, and their energy is infectious. And unlike a majority of kids' musical videos, the music is actually good.
Confessions of an Adult Wiggles Fan By AOOI64A2NRXIP on 2002-11-09
My only regret about discovering the Wiggles is that I did so AFTER they finished their west coast USA tour. As I watch snippets from their live shows on some of these videos, I'm near tears envisioning myself and my 2-year-old daughter dancing at the foot of the stage. In my fantasy, we are so engaging, the Wiggles pull us up on stage and proclaim us honorary Wiggles. Tears stream down my face, Wiggle Jeff parades little Julie around on the stage on his shoulders...Okay, so I'm a little kooky. But this team of four average looking grown men, blessed with facial expressions animated enough to make Jim Carey jealous, are worthy of adulation. The kid appeal is enormous: primary colors, simple but larger-than-life choreography, songs about everyday things like food and animals, and oversized animal puppets. The mesmerizing effect it has on Julie is convenient when I need her to be distracted, but even more fun is the look on her face when she finally picks up the dance moves to songs like "Hot Potato". She is delighted, and I'm ready to burst. I wish I could put a finger on why this is so successful. It's not like this is a new concept, but I don't recall being this passionate about The New Zoo Revue or Sigmund and the Sea Monsters. I guess the only way to describe it is "chemistry." Each Wiggle and puppet has their own endearing quality, which combined with all others, makes the experience magical. I'd love to know how it all came about. Did four college roommates consolidate their juvenile, drunken antics into a million dollar idea? Was there an open casting call, ala The Monkees, for four goofy guys? I guess I'll just have to wait for the E! Hollywood True Story to find out, although I hope the truth is too clean and boring for that genre.
The Wiggles Keep My Two Year Old Giggling and Wiggling By A12NS3PI7S26V5 on 2001-01-10
...and this new release does more of the same. While some of the songs are recyled from previous videos, the performances are clever, fun, and perform the near miracle of keeping my little girl enchanted while not making her daddy want to throw blunt objects at the television after his 3713th viewing. The songs are catchy and not overly dorky, and the arrangements are fun. The Wiggles are more entertaining for me to watch than, say, the Teletubbies, whom I sincerely hope become roadkill, or Barney, who needs to have an industrial accident. But, my preferences aside, my daughter's eyes light up as soon as the Duck logo comes on at the beginning, and she keeps smiling all the way through. What more can you ask for from a children's video?
- BUY NOW, Don't hesitate!
     By on 2002-08-11
I bought one of The Wiggles tapes as a trial to see if my son would like it. I knew nothing about them except they that they sang lots of songs. My 8 month old LOVED it. I can't emphasize it enough! Now he smiles as soon as the first Wiggle comes on and introduces himself on the screen (they introduce themselves on each tape). Since then, I haven't found any tapes that will keep my son's attention as well as the Wiggles can. They sing songs and dance about every 2 minutes and there are brightly colored props and characters at all times. It's so captivating for children. We have since increased our collection to 4 cassettes and my son even watches their TV show on Disney in the mornings. It works like magic when he is really fussy... I pop in a cassette and he gets quiet and starts to smile at the faces wearing the bright shirts. EXCELLENT BUY!
- Great Singing, Music, Dancing
     By AH4NKNB6TYXRE on 2001-04-16
The most notable aspect of The Wiggles is their talent for writing songs. The singing is good, the songs are performed well, and the tunes are catchy. Although the songs tend to stick in your head relentlessly, they are actually musically good enough that they aren't going to drive you as insane as say, Barney. Still, be prepared to wake up at three in the morning with the Captain Feathersword theme song going through your head. The theatrics that go along with the songs are pretty entertaining too. My two-year-old son loves dancing along to the steps they do in the videos, which are pretty easy to follow. The variety of characters (dinosaur, pirates, dog, and various professionals) keeps the show entertaining and somewhat educational. My two-year-old loves the music and dancing. My six-month-old loves to watch the funny faces and interesting characters in the videos.
- Another winner from the Wiggles
     By AECUTK26W1WOG on 2001-01-06
Being an Australian, its hard not to be biased, but this is another great video from the Wiggles. My daughter loves them and will watch the whole video from start to end, which she doesn't always do with other music videos. There are a lot of great songs that we hadn't heard before on their CDs and just lots of fun for the little ones. Its one group that I can also watch over and over again - their songs don't get on my nerves like a lot of children's songs! The Wiggles are very popular in Australia and are becoming so in the US - their last concert in Minneapolis was sold out in the first 15 minutes! I can't recommend this video highly enough, even for the very young ones.
- Love the Wiggles, but don't like this video
     By A37FBAAGNKFBLC on 2001-09-18
We have a 2-1/2 year old that absolutely adores the Wiggles. She has already learned alot about the world through previous videos (I think her first words were quack quack). We bought this video based upon other customer recommendations but were disappointed in the quality of the production. Whereas in previous videos (eg WiggleTime) there were plenty of painted sets this video is almost entirely bluescreened. The songs that aren't bluescreened are all in front of the exact same set which is basically a wherehouse painted three shades of green. At least I think it's green, its hard to tell because the colors are alot less vivid. Jeff's shirt looks grey and Anthony's shirt looks green. (and it's not the fault of our TV or VCR) It also seems like there are alot more songs without words. After viewing this video, my copy is for sale.
- Dance with your tot!
     By A16RP7SWRV97G3 on 2002-08-27
This is a wonderful group of very danceable Wiggles videos. These are the older ones, so they focus on simple songs and fun dancing. Try to keep up with them some time. This is harder than some of my aerobics videos! If you want a Wiggles sampler, this is a good pack. Several of the songs repeat on each video. If you just want one video, go for "Toot Toot".
- The three best Wiggles tapes!
     By A1B7WQZVPBF4TS on 2002-08-29
These are definitely the best three Wiggles videos in the entire Wiggles collection. I would highly recommend them. My two-year-old son loves the Wiggles. No other videos are able to capture his attention the way these three do.
- I would give this 10 stars if I could
     By A17W7U47TGLPEA on 2002-07-09
The Wiggles are outstanding and this video is one of the best so far. My 22 month old is addicted, and my 5 month old actually stops crying if I put the tape on for him. I love the fact that this video is more like the t.v. show, which Disney has mercifully started running. The wiggles are fun no matter how old you are. Trust me if they weren't as entertaining for adults as they are for kids I would have jumped out a window by now. On the weekends I see the wiggles at least 4 or 5 times in a row. The songs are great. My daughter knows exactly where her "head, shoulders, knees and toes" are and she loves to "Toot, Toot, Chugga, Chugga". She loves to dance along and is even starting to sing along. Thank you Wiggles.
- Get This One Now!
     By A1Z54EM24Y40LL on 2003-05-30
The Wiggles are absolutely something else and this video is by far their best, I think. The songs are just so well written and it's so refreshing to hear something written for children that isn't just plain stupid like Barney. Three of these guys are teachers and it definitely comes out in what they're doing. Thanks a bunch Wiggles for all the fun. Just wish they'd include the dance steps so the moms out there can learn the dances faster! The song "Captain Feathersword Ahoy" is just amazing. The first time I saw it on the Disney channel I just sat down and couldn't believe it. Never has there been such attention paid to children's programming as what these guys are doing. A fully choreographed dance number, that song just captivates my child each time. Also, the song, Toot, Toot (Chugga Chugga Big Red Car) is an awesome song - just TRY to get that one out of your head. Grab this one for sure if you're not sure on what the Wiggles are all about. You will certainly be impressed.
- A First Class Wiggle
     By A37PV5GMP2ILJC on 2003-07-09
This is by far the best Wiggle production ever. There are 18 songs, and that's a lot of entertainment. Some of the songs are educational, an aspect sadly lacking in later Wiggles videos, and the children's dancing brings it all together."Look Both Ways", "John Bradlelum", "Henry's Underwater Big Band", and "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" are clear favorites in my family. There's even a story line of the Big Red Car breaking down, and the very British mechanic who fixes it and gives some good advice. Officer Beaple's performance is great comic relief, and you even get Wags and Dorothy dancing the Tango! To put it all together: "funny, entertaining, educational, catchy songs, professional choreography, cute kids, Wiggles at their best."
- Best Wiggles Movie
     By A21EVJ8V0Q7E3F on 2003-10-01
This movie ties together an ongoing story line, some nice dance numbers and lots of The Wiggles' classic songs. Toot Toot features Halloran choreography at its best, some better props and locations than earlier films, and lots of Wiggles tunes. This is easily the most watchable Wiggles video for the adult companions of the vidoe's small owner.
- What a terrific video!!!
     By A3TD7B0CT1NHO4 on 2005-02-23
This video gets better and better with each viewing. My little girl knows this video - "it's the one with Wags the Dog" - and she's right. Wags is featured quite often in this program, as are the dancers and the other characters. I must say, though, that the choreography in this video far exceeds some of the others Wiggles programs. There are great numbers of course, but the centerpiece of the show is that the Big Red Car is stuck in place and they need to find someone to fix it, so they ask Wags, and he can't, and they ask different others, but they can't, and finally, Captain Feathersword tries his luck, and fails and gets exhaust in his face.
Towards the end of the video, of course, there has to be a solution, and the "mechanic" is called, and he encourages the Wiggles that the Big Red Car "runs" on music, so they enlist the aid of everyone in the cast.
There are some really unique ensemble pieces, such as "Wags does the Tango," "Zardo's Dance," and a few other dance numbers which really make the video great. Then there's "Go Captain Feathersword Go," filmed outside, with the Captain and his crew on a pirate ship, and the other dancers on the dock.
This is a terrific video, and it's highly recommended for the whole family!!!
- A Fun, Educational Video for Toddlers
     By AGYIMLSL1FZ3S on 2001-05-21
If your child has not yet been lucky enough to see the wiggles, this tape is a must have! I have a daughter who has loved the wiggles since she was about 18 months old. Their songs are fun and educational. My daughter loves to sing and dance along with the video. It's a nice break from Barney.
- Can't Stop Wiggling
     By A3L4DP4WH4UXKU on 2002-02-07
Last year I bought this tape for my two and a half year old daughter for Christmas and BOTH my children LOVE this video!(My five year old daughter loves it too). They sing and dance to all the songs. They even argue over who is going to play "Dorothy" and who is going to play "Wags the Dog". The songs are so catchy you will find youself singing them. I'm going to purchase more Wiggles videos and I recommend this one highly.
- The BEST Wiggles DVD.
     By ABZ01WBFDB4WD on 2004-11-18
I don't much like the Wiggles. However, my daughter LOVES the Wiggles. She is 13 months old and started wiggling to the Wiggles at about 9 months. So as a dad who wants to keep his daughter happy, I bought a Wiggles DVD. The first one I bought, didn't have any songs that she recognized. So I searched and searched and found Toot Toot. This DVD contains 14 recognizable songs that my daughter has seen on the show. 18 songs total on the DVD. If your child loves the Wiggles TV show on Playhouse Disney, then this is the perfect DVD for you. I highly recommend it.
- Another GREAT 'down under' masterpiece for the little ones!
     By A24W5F0F1M6L8 on 2001-01-06
My girls (2yrs & 5 yrs old) are hooked on the kid's sensation from down under! The Australian group called "THE WIGGLES". 4 Aussie men donned in their own colored shirts, ANTHONY, GREG, MURRAY and JEFF aim to please the wee folk - and do so! - with their great songs, both original Wiggles tunes and modified traditional tunes and their dances and skits. With fun characters such as Captain Feathersword, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus and several children all singing and dancing throughout the video. Parents will also be hooked on the great tunes and can even "Wiggle" with their kids and get into shape! A must for any kiddie video library!
- Great Fun
     By AS8PKT7826K3R on 2002-03-21
My two-year-old LOVES this video. He watches it at least once a day and would watch it non-stop all day long if he could only reach the VCR. He's never been one for dancing to videos (at least not where anyone could see him) but he'll dance along to this tape no matter who's watching. I don't blame him; it's sort of hard to keep from dancing, myself. It's great to see how much fun he has with this tape.
Toot Toot lost a star for sound quality (there's a constant popping) and picture quality (kind of blurry around the edges in the scenes where they used blue screen) but these are things only a parent will notice. My son thinks this is the best video ever.
- One of the best Wiggles videos
     By on 2002-05-24
My 2-year-old toddler loves this video! He dances pretty much from start to finish. All the songs in this video not only appeal to him, but all the grown-ups in our house (from 30-75 years old). You can hear songs that have influences from rock-&-roll to polka to tango & others (My husband & I admit that sometimes we have "Toot-Toot, Chugga-Chugga" or "Do the Wiggle Groove" stuck in our head). We don't mind the warehouse-looking set in some of the segments. And we didn't notice anything bad in the picture quality during the bluescreen segments. The talking parts that bore my son are mercifully short---thank goodness there's no segment with Greg's magic tricks! (Sorry, Greg...). This is great buy!
- We love to dance to "Toot Toot"
     By A2KW83D0NR1BAQ on 2001-01-04
My kids love the songs on this video. We like to refer to our Wiggles videos as Kiddie Aerobics because of all of the dancing our toddler and preschooler do while the video is playing. The songs are well written, catchy and best of all are meant to teach kids things they need to know.
- Nice - but get Wiggle Time instead
     By on 2001-02-16
The Wiggles - Wiggle Time is innovative and fun. This video, The Wiggles - Toot Toot, is sweet, and my 3 year old son likes the car, but I find it follows a more run of the mill formula for children. It has grander choreography, but feels less real. The Wiggles compose good music and have lovely voices, so this video is good to add a variety to your children's collection, but for pure enjoyment and audience participation (kiddie aerobics), stick to their video Wiggle Time.
- Wiggles not as good as other popular kids videos
     By on 2002-07-15
There are some good points to the Wiggles. There are some really neat songs in here and I think that the singing and dancing are entertaining. I especially like the children they put in the video. The bad points start with some bad camera effects. I particularly dislike the underwater effect and don't think it is appropriate for toddlers who are learning about and trying to make sense of their world. The worst aspect of the Wiggles is that their animal characters are very bizarre. The Octopus is a person wearing an octopus costume. Four of the legs are the human's two legs and two arms and the other four legs are stuffed and flail about randomly from the human's neck. Dorothy the dinosaur has no bottom jaw and her single row of teeth is on the outside of her upper jaw. Plus, the animal character voices and mannerisms are very annoying. I bought this video because of all the good reviews on this site but was very disappointed. I don't think it even compares to some of the other kids' videos out there. Sesame Street & Elmo, Barney, Blue's Clues and VeggieTales are much better and are more likely to teach as well as entertain.
- Go, Wiggles, Ahoy!
     By A2D22II4RO5Z4E on 2002-10-24
We love to listen to the Wiggles. The songs are great... fun, catchy, imaginative. Their CD's rank highly in our collection. Toot Toot! is no exception. We simply love it!Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with some aspects of the video. My son, who is two, loves it and wants to watch it over and over. So, obviously, he disagrees with me (but he's not writing this review). As a parent, I'm very careful about what my son watches... and this just makes it past the censor boards. Why? Because some of the special effects are visually irritating (Henry's Underwater Big Band)and I catch myself looking away to avoid that slightly motion-sick feeling. Also, I find the bigger-than-life explanatory style The Wiggles use a little patronizing, but, paradoxically, it is also humourous and endearing. Now that I've said that, I also have to say that I'm very thankful for the Wiggles and I will continue to let my son watch Toot Toot! when he requests it. Why? Because the music is great, The Wiggles are real people (rather than cartoons or purple replicas of prehistoric beasts), and I love having dancing male human role models for my boy. You gotta hand it to them... the Wiggles really can groove.
- This is the best of their videos
     By on 2002-11-03
My daughter (1 yr old) has almost every Wiggle video and by far these are the best 3. If your child enjoy watching the series, they will like these tapes.
- Best of the Wiggles Videos
     By A2MPVDSW4C0X3E on 2005-12-12
We own a few of the Wiggles Video and Toot Toot is my son's favorite as well as mine. It is the most tolerable of them all and my son would light up when we would watch it! The Wiggles are so much fun for the little ones, I can overlook how annoying they can be. This is the least annoying of them all and if I were you I would get this one!
- Toot Toot
     By A16PV864GUDFQB on 2006-09-14
I enjoy watching this with my youngest daughter, the other two think they are too old for it. I say, "I'm watching it and I'm older than you," but they just roll their eyes and probably think I'm crazy.
The songs are great. It was the song 'Fruit Salad' that brought me to the Wiggles years agon.
Great, safe video for any child. And if you're not careful, you may find yourself humming Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car at work.
- A Journey through Wiggle-World
     By A2BNQGY6ZYXFFQ on 2006-12-27
The Big Red Car loses its mojo and strands the Wiggles in the middle of town. Jeff, showing remarkable leadership in a time of crisis considering he normally just seems to be the poster-boy for narcolepsy, hops out of the car to go visit friends. Musical numbers ensue, all of which are pretty good stuff and far superior to anything Barney ever put together. My only qualm with this video would be that Greg goes from being fairly competent in past DVDs to totally idiotic in this DVD. He doesn't know that mechanics fix cars and prior to figuring it out puts a dog and a pirate in charge of his car repair. I'm no technician, but that couldn't be a good idea.
