• Not great for those with glasses

  If you wear glasses, consider getting a different headset. Because this is a behind the head model, it rests on your ears -- similar to a pair of glasses. If you already wear glasses (like I do) you will most likely find it uncomfortable. The headset does have exceptional voice pickup and sound quality (for gaming) however. It is just a bit uncomfortable with glasses.
  
  

• Great basic headset, but cuts into the ears

  This is a great headset for the price, but I ran into some comfort issues. This headset wraps around the back of the head, not over the top and there is a groove along the band where the wire connects the left speaker to the right speaker. This band sits on top of your ears and after extended use, the channel tends to abrade the ears. Bummer, cuz it's great in every other respect.

  This is my second logitech headset. My first one is a Logitech Internet Chat Headset with item model # 980158-0403. Each of these two headsets has a microphone. The price of this one is a little bit lower, but that doesn't mean this one is worse. In fact, after compared them for a while, I have to say this one has a better sound quality. Maybe just as the description, this one is designed for PC games, that one is only for chat. Maybe, the price difference is because # 980158-0403 comes with four plates with different colors. A brief comparison (0 is worst and 5 is the best) is given as follows:

  I think for a headset, the most important thing is the sound quality and being comfortable to wear. I don't care how many colors it comes with.

• Great Sound Quality In and Out

  I was at first surprised to get this thing in less than 24 hours. I plugged it into my PC and used it right away. I was able to hear music from games and people's voices very clearly and the people I talked to said that my voice was coming in perfectly. I just find this works extremly well.

  I was at the Newegg 2k4 lanparty in Southern California .. they had dedicated systems with the Logitech Extreme for use during the Battlefield 1942 and Call of Duty competitions.. the noise cancelling, ratchet boom mic, sound quality and fit of the headset kicked azz! A lil to get used to on the wrap around but a great additon to any lan bag.
  
  
• Good... but Great after Modding... And Still Falls Short

  This headset has decent sound, and very good internet chat capabilities (I talk with my gf on Google Talk all the time and she has this exact headset too, and the talk is crisp and clear).
  
  The only problem is that after about 15 minutes of extended use my ears would start hurting from the headset. After a few days of that I started to really get annoyed, so I figured out the problem. The problem is that the plastic is folded to make the headset, and the edges sit on your ears... not a smart design.
  
  But... recognizing the problem I made a quick fix that has really helped make this headset a keeper. All I did was cut a strip of worn out sock (after washing it ; p ) and wrapped it around the part where the headset would sit on my ears, I then used some cloth duct tape to keep the sock strip together. It took only like 5 minutes and it seems to make this headset perfect for me.
  
  **Update 3 Months Later**
  
  Mod couldn't keep my headset comfortable for wearing over 20 minutes. Looking for new headset. ; (
  
  
• Unadjustable

  Sound quality is fine. Don't know how well the mic works, but other reviews indicate that it's is fine.
  
  However the only fit adjustment available is the mic on a ratcheted swivel. If you are tall, say six feet or more, and have a typical build or if you are just built heavily these are definitely not the headphones for you. You end up with poor earpiece placement so regardless of the sound quality you can't hear that well. Then the arm that goes over your ear ends up pinching. Finally the band squeezes the back of your skull to the point of headaches in short order.
  
  Top that off with packaging that must be destroyed before you can get the product out results in arguments when trying to return.

  I bought this headset for what it was. When I got it-- and wore it-- it made my ears hurt the way it's worn.
  
  I'm saying this: I'm not wearing it wrong and it makes my ears hurt. I'm disappointed with this product; they could have produced something a little more ergonomic.

  I'm very happy with this new pair of headsets. They look great.., they make me look more attractive when I'm gaming (I'm joking) But the materials used for the construction are excellent. Beleiveme that you will be wearing something good and confortable.
  The sound is just great and you can adjust the microphone in any position as you can, because the material allows you to put in any shape you want.

  I had had these headphones for a while now, and I have to say I am quite satisfied.
  
  They do not hurt my ears, and I use them for 6+ hours at a time.
  
  The sound quality is great, as is the microphone quality.

• I highly recommend!

  First of all, I was amazed at the speed of delivery! Second, I have owned many different headsets and I absolutely thought my previous set was the best I had ever purchased. There is a very distinctive increase in sound quality with this headset! Not to mention, they are so much lighter and comfortable then my previous set. I wish I had more info on the person that says they are having problems with others hearing them on the mic. NO problems here at all. As a matter of fact, with this headset, I had to uncheck my mic boost in the advanced sound options! As an avid gamer for 5 years now, for the moment, this headset simply can't be beat. Especially for this price!

• Mic can't reach!

  This is a really great set of headphones, except that I have a problem getting the microphone to register my voice. When I wear them properly, I have to talk very loudly for the microphone to pick up my voice, and I'm using full gain in the operating system. So, I'm now wearing these around my neck and then extending the microphone up in front of my mouth so people can hear me. I'm running everyone's voice through my regular computer speakers. This works, but clearly it isn't pretty and it isn't the intent of the product. So, I'm looking for something else.

  I only use this for Skype, so this is not a detailed review.
  
  This headset is great for Skype. All I need from it is for it to be bearable to wear for short periods of time; I need to be able to understand the other person; and the other person needs to be able to understand me. This headset fulfills all those requirements, so I am a happy customer.

  If you are a gamer, this is a pretty strong headset and for the price, you can't go wrong. The ear pieces go around most of your ear, the headset feels solid while you are wearing it, and the sound is great. The microphone works fine, and the volume dial on the cord is useful. It's a standard mic in/headset out connection...NOT USB, which to me is a positive since my expensive USB set gave me too many problems. Sound is supposed to go through the SOUND card...not USB ports!

  It's a pain to wear, and the sound isnt that great. But the kicker here is that after only 3 weeks of use, the microphone started making horrible high pitched sounds whenever I talk. Making it impossible to use for gaming when most people get sick of hearing it and muted me. So beware, some say it lasts and its good for the price. Mine on the other hand didnt work right in less than a month...

  These headphones are a great value, the input and output is great. The only problem is the plastic that wraps around the ears cuts into my ears. To combat this problem I wrapped tape around the part that hurt and now there are no problems. I recommend this product.

  I use this headset to listen to online radios and for voice chatting more than for gaming.......Its an excellent piece for its price. And even though I am a person who uses glasses, there is space for both the headset and glasses on my ears(I guess I have elephant ears:))....
  
  
• Awsome Headset

  Ive had about 5 headsets before this one and none were as good as this one. I am pretty rough on my headset and its holding up very well. As for glasses, i wear them and i found that i had an easier time adjusting to them because of the fact that i was used to something sitting on my ears. It is uncomfortable for the first week you wear it but your ears strengthen and they feel just fine. Just be careful you dont forget the Microphone's placement...ive done that while eating and it ruined the covering over the nicrophone. other then that this headset rocks out loud

  I have this for when I game online. It works well. However it is MUCH more comfortable when you flip it and use the right peice on your left ear and so on.

  The headset works well. The price was cheap. The only downside is that its uncomfortable. My ear turn red after 30min of using the product. It annoys me so much that it discourages me from using it any further. Overall it works fine for its price but as for being comfortable, its hard for me to adapt. Hope this review help those who are seeking a new headset. If you are looking for a cheap, good one... this is fine if you dont mine having red ears. I recommend those who are looking for a headset to be highly comfortable with it.

  I bought this headset after doing a search under "USB Headset" this device popped up...so I assumed of course it was usb...it is not, it has standard pc jacks!!! This was disappointing enough, but I set out to find an adapter that would make it into a usb headset...after buying a separate headset just get the adapter, it still would not work with a PS2...nor did the new headset...
  
  Do not buy this headset if you want to use it with anything other a PC...

  So functionality is great on this headset, but it is a little bit uncomfortable to wear after about 2 hours. I have a big head though, so people with normal-sized heads shouldn't have a problem at all. Given the price, this is a great deal though.

  I'm a casual gamer and daily computer-user. The audio quality is fine, and the microphone works great. I wear glasses, and I have to say that it doesn't always cut into my ears. It depends on how you position the headset. I've had no problems with it so far.

  I will keep this short and sweet. This product is solid quality, especially for such a low price (currently $14 - $17 on Amazon). The bass is not as rich as some reviewers mentioned (but sound quality is still good overall), and it will most likely hurt your head after a while just like a lot of other reviews mentioned. Look at the bright side of things, though. If it hurts your head after a while, maybe it is time to pause the game or activity and take a break from the computer. Also, the microphone is top-notch. I am very happy with the item. There is no perfect item for this price range, but it is a good, inexpensive investment.

  I just received the logitech headset, and it really good. It has a nice sleek design and is very comfortable. Yet when wearing a long time such as I do, they start to hurt your ears a little. Though the sound is excellent and my voice can be well heard. If you need to buy a new headset this would be the one to buy.

  This item was not all that I was expecting. I got this item to replace the free headset that came with Battlefield 2. In almost every way this headset is worse than that one. The earphones are a bit bulky and dont fit as well as some other headsets. The mic also seems to be a bit short, it ajustment moves alot, and overall lower quality than other headset mics I have. The one good point it has is the built in mute/volume ajustment.

  The headset sells at a fair price and does what it promises. Nicely long cord and cool design which is quite nice for long phone calls over the web. Perfect sound and voice quality, no complaints.
  
  The only thing I don't like about it is that the mic sometimes refuses to stay in one position. But this rarely poses a prob.
