The Best of the Best Reading Program Vedios! By A34G03ZJ0VVMXX on 2005-09-03
The bumble bee "Action words 1-3" videos are excellent. They helped my 18-mon son to speak and read greatly. Every word is so well illustrated in the vedio! The best part of them: My son loves these videos so madly and therefoer learned words from them so quickly!!! There are about 20 words in each vedio.
The "Motorized Madness" is also good, it has 10 machines such as "airplane, bulldozer, dump truck, backhoe loader, helicopter, bucket truck, boat, motlecycle, fire truck, and bus." It also explains each part of the machine, like the wings, propellers, engine, cab...
The baby bumble bee surely produce the best of the best infant and kids reading program vedios in the market--as good as Dr. Titzer's "Your baby can read 1-5" DVDs and Dr. Glenn Dorman's "How to teach your baby to read" book.
I love baby bumble bee's "Opposites", "Motorize", "Actions words 1-3" and "vocabulary builders 1-5" the most. Highly recommended!
very good, though slightly amateurish By A9NW9KV1D4RWG on 2007-01-05
it helped my two year old who does considerably well with nouns but not at all with verbs. it was worth the money but would be nice if there were some more words, and less repetition...i mean if i want to repeat sections for her, i can always replay the chapters right?
DVDs for children on the Autism Spectrum By A3IKLTT9JQACCI on 2008-03-08
At three years old my son was non-verbal (and on the Autism Spectrum), so someone suggested these BumbleBee brand dvds. I bought a 10 pack, which included Action Words and Vocabulary builders.
They're very slow and repetitive, so it didn't keep my son's interest at first. But after a while if I kept them on, my son would start saying the words while playing by himself. After about 6 months, he became more interested in them and would be more attentive.
They're also very basic. Examples are "Ball." They would show examples of kids with a ball. "Ball." "Ball." They would show more balls, "Ball." Again, slow and repetitive, but they worked for my son. I was thrilled when he went and got a brush out of the bathroom and kept saying, "Brush."
The kids are adorable, the production value is decent - mostly white backgrounds, the music is fine. Unlike Baby Einstein (which I also adore, but for different reasons) they're pretty straight forward and educational - no jokes or silliness, although the kids in the dvds are happy and joyful.
Overall, if you're looking for an educational tool for a typically developing toddler they're fine, but I highly recommend for children with verbal delays.
Autistic son knew these words after one weekend By A29OZDQRZRWMSW on 2008-03-24
Wow, they aren't kidding that your child will learn these words after a weekend of watching this. He knew them all. He is high functioning autistic, but it really got through to him. I understand from other friends that their autistic children receive the BumbleBee videos very well too.
great interaction By A1FG6LB1BV3UVD on 2008-09-29
My boys have all loved these videos. They have increased their vocabulary through these videos and can watch them repeatedly.
