  • Excellent

    By A3BA8YMGPWARPM on 2006-07-12
It really makes good froth for your coffee.

I find it more consistent if I froth cold milk first, then nuke it for about 10 seconds. This way the froth stays "solid" instead of melting away (at least that's the way I like it).

I take it to work and whenever I travel, too. I've been using my extra sets of reachargeable batteries, cos the batteries that came with it only lasted me probably less than a month (I've been using this frother 3x a day since January).

  • False design and/or material

    By AFUEB65UIPMDN on 2007-06-18
There's no doubt that it's a great frother! It does what it's supposed to do; it froths any kind of milk darn good!
Sharing my 3-week-experience, lactose free milk worked the best. The foam stayed longer than other milk. The fresher the milk is, the more foam you get as well.

I would have loved it more if it did not have design and/or material problem.
It's made out of cheap plastic. The body can't get a hold of its own lid to battery. I wasn't comfortable using it because it's just about to pop out of the handle while frothing.
I tried to tighten the screws in, but it didn't do much.

Finally Amazon sent me a replacement, however it came with the same problem.
I am afraid I should return both of them and get a stainless steel version.

  • Great product

    By A3VK6I07J3FXPT on 2004-11-29
Bought 14 of these to be part of Christmas baskets for employees. Better than espresso maker steamer by far. Nice to have a product that really works.

  • Excellent choice

    By A1IOREKFBBW4W6 on 2005-12-13
This whip really does work great. I've worked in a couple coffee shops, and I'll tell you, it's almost (and I mean ALMOST, and that complimentarily) just as good, but the best way to get the foam cap is to heat the milk in a pan on the stove, then whip the whole bunch--the wide surface area will give you maximum foam. Block it with a spoon when you poor it into the espresso (of coffee), then spoon the foam onto the top. The travel case is also ideal for me, since I travel a lot.

  • I loved it, now I really miss it!

    By ALYG9ISSEWAHL on 2006-08-26
I have had my Aerolatte for 21/2 years. I use it everyday and have taken it on holiday with me. It just died and I really miss it. Now that I've found it on Amazon I shall order a new one immediately.

One thing, it is limited in it's uses. For frothing milk great! for beating eggs, it struggles (too thick), unless you beat the eggs first, then use it to froth the eggs more. Mayonnaise is too thick for it's little motor, but for emulsifying a viniagrette it's great. Like I said I love it and I cannot do without it for my morning latte/cappuccino. I don't even bother with my Krups capuccino maker any more; too much cleanup and takes too long.

Amazingly fast and effecient. So much fun to use, and easy too!

  • fabulous item
    By A10K2EL80AR5EL on 2006-11-20
I've had many foamers. I am, in fact, a foamer junkie. This is my favorite. It foams more easily and more items than the old bonjour I had with more of a blade at the bottom. I used to use the bonjour frother that includes a glass holder, but the glass broke and I had to replace it a number of times. I then tried the regular aerolatte, but without a cover, it stopped working properly over time because it didn't have enough protection. Now, this is my only foamer. I have two of them, one tucked away in my suitcase for travel, and one in my appliance drawer. When I want to froth milk for more than one person, I just put the milk in a tall glass and foam a larger amount, which I serve at the table with a long spoon. It is wonderful!

  • Perfect!
    By A259HHYBP6ZNJ3 on 2007-03-11
I bought this after reading different reviews on several frothers and I am so glad I bought this one. It froths the milk perfectly.
Very pleased with the Aerolatte frother!

  • Poor Design flaws a great idea
    By AH4H28OYG7PW4 on 2007-07-04
The unit is powerful and fast but the battery compartment is flawed by poor design. The lid which is located on the top is loose and ill fitting. I had to send the first one back because it would pop off in normal operation. The replacement still has fit issues, but seems to stay in place.

  • Convenient and easy!!!
    By A11IW7T1I52KEY on 2005-09-04
Great way to make quick lattes and shakes. The first one I bought died after a few days, but they replaced it and the replacement has worked great!

  • Awesome Tool!
    By A1QGEHENPXXZQR on 2007-01-10
I love this foamer! I recently decided to try making coffee drinks at home. I didn't want to spend much money on tools, and this product had good reviews. It works great! I didn't realize how much difference a foamer makes when making a latte, for example, but its huge!! This little tool is very effective and does a great job of foaming the milk up quickly. I don't use it for travel, only at home. Its a great price for a really cool little tool!

  • Home made Latte's
    By A24IOBSMWNM4JW on 2007-01-10
This Product is really amazing! Whips up the milk in seconds for great Latte's @ home. I would recommend this product with my eyes closed.

  • Portable Frother
    By A2P3W4Q4FCHF5L on 2007-01-16
Works fantastic - lots of power for it's size and travels easily with the compact size and travel container. Great value for the money! Practically a small mixer/blender. I have one on stand at home and use this one for travels. I get so many inquiries on where I got the one at home or on the road, that I purchased some for friends that were VERY well received!

  • not true cappucino froth but still fun
    By AGKSJ70C1ZBQD on 2005-03-19
I bought this thinking that in combination with my microwave to heat the milk, I might be able to make cappucini at home. Perhaps my expectations are lofty (I live in Italy right now), but after whipping my first milk with this tool, I was a bit disappointed. The price is right though, and I will try using it to also beat eggs for omelettes.

  • OK, it really works!
    By AHDOVYZJ7UNRK on 2005-09-08
I was skeptical about Aerolatte, so I went with the cheapest version. Once I got the hang of it, it really worked -- just as advertised. When this one wears out I may go for the deluxe model.

  • I love it!
    By A1CEGXSLZV8V44 on 2007-01-09
I love lattes but hate to spend over $3 for one at a coffee shop. I already had an espresso machine without an attached frother so I decided to see if I could find a portable, non electric one on Amazon! Thank you Amazon for leading me to the Aerolatte. I purchased the original one first that I used at home, at work, and at our camper. I then bought the black To Go one to use at home and take to our camper on the weekends. I leave the original at work. My daughter-in-law and sister loved the lattes I made for them so I bought both of them one for Christmas. They love them! Plus, I try to eat healthy most of the time and having a warm latte made with decaf espresso, fat-free milk, sugar-free carmel flavoring for only 90 calories is such a treat and very filling! Need I say more?

It works great. The travel one is all you really need, forget those other self-standing more expensive models.

  • Would have been a 5 but today...
    By A2VFS67W0RK60F on 2007-06-07
...it wouldn't run and had trouble with the lid to the battery. Have loved using it up till then. Use mine mostly for a "health mix" I make. Does well with some fairly hefty ingredients.

  • Excellent
    By A14ASF9SZY4R3 on 2007-08-03
Excellent. Works exactly as described. Whips up everything but water :-) Very nice little gadget.

  • Great for mixing powdered drinks!
    By A3IX159SIH7FFM on 2006-07-15
This tool mixes great, leaves little/no "lumps" in powdered mix drinks and cleans up VERY easily! I can not speak to making lattes, because I don't use it for that - but I HIGHLY recommend it for anyone mixing powdered drinks.

  • Aerolatte - Hand-held frother
    By A2R954QUJYMJJZ on 2007-03-22
We took a chance on this little battery-powered frother - at less than $20, how could you go wrong, right?

As it turns out, it's the very best cooking accessory we've ever purchased at any price. From stiff foam caps for your afternoon cappuccino to full-blown meringue, this light-weight, solidly constructed, battery-powered whip is unbeatable.

The unit ships in a plastic travel case and is of top-notch construction. The battery compartment is well-sealed against moisture intrusion and the stainless steel frother is a cinch to clean.

  • Perfect froth everytime!
    By A1B28SD4MAF419 on 2007-04-07
I read the reviews and hoped for the best. This works perfectly. I purchased a cappuchino machine (cheap model--I know you get what you pay for) and couldn't get the frother to work so thought, hmmm why not?

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who was thinking about buying one. And you can take it with you in its own traveling case! How wonderful is that?

  • Amazing Frother
    By A2D80MLE2B0L22 on 2007-05-31
A little gadget that's simply amazing. It's small, neat and fast. In seconds your milk is perfectly frothed. You have to heat the milk ahead of time, of course (unlike a steam frother), and it warns not to heat to boiling or else it decreases froth. But still, for ten bucks, you can't go wrong! Great for camping (battery operated, included), traveling, or for everyday use. A quick rinse and you're done.

  • AEROLATTE IS THE ORIGINAL AND THE BEST
    By A3S71QFH7BKVZ5 on 2007-01-09
There are other similar products out there but nothing compares the original aerolatte. the case will help protect your aerolatte from becoming bent when just thrown in a drawer. heat about 1/4 cup of milk (skim works best) in microwave for 45 seconds (all microwaves are different so test yours first) and then whip the milk to foam. it may take longer than the instructions especially if you like a lot of foam. then pour in your coffee and you have a PERFECT latte!

  • LOVE it!
    By A11JZ1F1M6Z77T on 2007-01-09
I purchased this for myself a while back and loved it so much I bought a number of them to give as Christmas gifts. Everyone equally loved them and the ones I didn't buy for asked where I got them and WILL be ordering them.
This works great and is so handy. I just let it sit on my counter by my coffee pot so I can use it readily. It takes about 10 seconds and you have great Latte!

  • AEROLATTE TO GO
    By A3FKZYZYLK9D5B on 2007-03-25
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST DRINK MIXING PRODUCTS---TO GO-ON THE MARKET. I TAKE IT EVERYWHERE.......

  • A lotta Latte!!!
    By A3LOCNXB7Z1WCH on 2007-05-13
My husband and I use the Aerolatte everyday and it makes the best foam you can imagine! He adds a little vanilla to the top of the foam and it's better than anything you can get at the local coffee shop. Plus, we're saving hundreds of dollars by making cappuccinos and lattes here at home!!

  • I am loving it!
    By A18L0RNXRTGX5R on 2007-06-18
I am enjoying my frother! I have a Cappuccino Maker with a frother attached, but I guess I didn't do it right, because my milk did not get any foam on top. I am thankful for my frother, it does a wonderful job. However, if you are looking for it to make your beverage hot or warm, it will not do that, but that's fine for me. If you have a warm or hot beverage, it will maintain it's temperature.

  • Works great!
    By A3UC3YT2E65LZO on 2007-09-03
Works great! Froths milk very well, and functions exactly as described. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I had the same problem with the battery cover that several other reviewers experienced. The cover is loose, doesn't fit properly, and sometimes pops off. Mine seems to be staying in place for the time being... if it gets looser, I'll probably just patch it up with some duct tape!
