  I have two laptop tote bags. One is this bag and the other is an expensive leather Franklin Covey bag. The Franklin Covey bag looks fantastic and is great for business meetings and interviews however the size is too small for real functional use.
  
  This bag is perfect in size for realistic day to day work. I can fit my cables, mouse and laptop inside. I have a Dell Inspiron 600m and it fits so perfect. My husband has a larger laptop and that fits too!
  
  The best part is that the whole laptop section can be pulled out of the bag. Then the bag becomes a normal tote bag, which I have used already as a bag to put my gym clothes in. I love that this bag is so versatile!!

  It is a nice bag but it is super huge. I keep bumping into people with it. But at the same time, I can fit quite a bit of papers and books in it. Then, of course, the bag becomes heavy to carry which is a nuisance. I would simply say: (1) if you are looking for an everyday tote, then this is NOT the one for you b/c of its size; but (2) if you are looking for a travel bag that can carry your laptop, then it may work b/c it's sturdy.

  This bag has it all...
  
  Perfect size. I disagree that it is "too big" for daily use. I am 5'8", so perhaps people of smaller stature might feel differently. It is big enough to carry my bookd and some files, in addition to computer, phone, and misc. junk I need for work.
  
  Quality. Have not had it too long, so only time will really tell. BUT... construction definitely suggests that it will be a long-lasting bag. It looks like I could add a ton of books or heavy materials and not strain it much. I love the extra padding for my computer (removable, of course!)
  
  Style. Very attractive and professional. First day of use got several compliments.
  
  I really can't think of what I would change. Even the price is good! I plan to order another one for future use since they are on sale.
  
  It did come in a GIGANTIC box and the bag itself was in another Mobile Edge bag, so for a moment I thought they had shipped the wrong order. It really did not need all that bubble wrap, but I'm glad it arrived from Amazon in pristine condition.

  I am 18 years old and i am a college student. This bag is perfect for lugging around all of my books (ecspecially when i do not have time to come back to my dorm room). By the way, it is not too big, it is perfect and i have got a ton of compliments on it from my friends... its pretty much the perfect tote :-)

  This bag is huge!! I had read a couple of other reviews that stated that this bag was on the large size - well they weren't kidding!! The quality and the organizational features were great but I had to send this bag back because I was dwarfed by its size.

  the bag was ok. The material seemed a little low quality as compaired to the product description and the dims on the site and some of the reviews lead me to beleive that the bag would work for my laptop however when i received the bad the laptop in no way would safely fit. the return process with this company is annoying. you have to email them and once they decide you have a good enough reason to return the item (they dont let you explain you must choose from their completely unrelated reasons) which took a few emails for my reason to "qualify". you ship it back and are charged a "restocking fee".

  I borrowed this bag from my mother when my own laptop bag finally broke. And loved it so much I went out and bought my own!
  
  The bag is big true, (though I'm 5'3 and can carry it around just fine) but for a big bag it does have a relatively slim profile. It really is great!! I can fit my laptop, cables, PDA, charger, ipod and cell phone paraphernalia in the bag along with lots and lots of files. OR I can do laptop, electronics & accessories plus gym shoes and clothes!
  
  This bag holds everything you need for a full day without having to take two bags! And it is great quality, even when fully loaded the weight doesn't pull seams apart, or feel like it will rip the straps. I would definitely recommend this bag for anyone looking for a laptop bag that will also hold everything else you need for work or play!

  First the Pro's:
  
  This tote fit my 17" widescreen HP laptop perfectly. Well, once you take out the inner materials. It still was safe to carry around and extremely stylish. Noone knew I had a laptop in it until I pulled my laptop out. It is very feminine in a "classic black" way. I loved this bag because it is really hard to find a bag that truly fits this size of a laptop, for me anyway. So if you have a big laptop and want something stylish and pretty, this is the tote. However ...
  
  The Con's:
  
  Maybe it is because the laptop is heavy (7 lbs. doesn't seem heavy to me), but the straps on this bag caused my shoulders to hurt really bad. The tote is heavy with the inner detachable materials inside so I removed the inner portion and it was better but still heavy.
  
  I'm 5'10" and the bag was about 6 inches from the ground when holding the tote by hand instead of on the shoulder so if you're really short, you will need to carry this on your shoulder ... Maybe buy one of those cushion strap thingies (lol) for the shoulder part.
  
  All in all, I brought a backpack that holds a 17" laptop and it felt much better than this tote. I'm keeping the tote for a glitzy effect when I'm going to an important client or meeting but just for everyday lugging around, I prefer the backpack.

  I actually did not buy this to carry my labtop. I bought it because I'm a chef, and I carry a work uniform and work related items back and forth. This is PERFECT. It is huge, and you can use it with or without the insert portion which divies up the bag into different compartments. It is very sturdy, and made with quality materials. It's not the hippest looking bag, but that's not why you buy this bag - you buy it for its functionality, and I finally have a bag that's big enough to carry all my 'stuff'. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a large bag, and who doesn't want it just dumped into a backpack.

• A wonderful bag for my laptop

  I bought this bag after carrying a heavy backpack around for a year and getting tired of the burden. I wanted something practical yet a little stylish. It definitely needed to be able to fit my Macbook Pro as well as carry a few books, a makeup bag, some cords etc. This bag looked perfect and I bought it after being impressed by the great reviews on Amazon. I am not disappointed. This is a wonderful bag, more than enough to carry your daily essentials and more. It holds the laptop securely in the detachable case and has handy pockets for small items such as the little pouch just inside that is perfect for a couple of pens and other stationery. I disagree with the reviewer who felt it was too large - it's just perfect for my needs and looks great when you carry it. I've gotten several compliments on it and it's just made things so much more hassle free. Could not recommend this bag more.
  
  
• Nice Tote.

  The main reason I chose this bag was for my 17" laptop and I wanted a tote type bag rather than a briefcase style. It was the only one from the descriptions that I thought I could safely purchase to fit a larger laptop. It's a very nice looking bag but the padded sleeve intended for the laptop does not fit my 17" laptop very well (too small). I am still happy with the tote but did give it 4 stars instead of 5 only for this reason. The bag itself it still functional for carrying my laptop, it's just not as secure.
