It's great. By A1T23QG73R7DB6 on 2004-12-07
I've had this cushion for a few days and I've used it everywhere. At work, on the train, the bench at a softball field and at school (they have metal chairs). I noticed while sitting in class for over an hour that I didn't cross my legs or figit around in the seat. A teacher tried and was also impressed. I love this cushion, and I would recommend it to anyone who has problems with their sit bones and any muscles around them. Defintely worth the money.
A good product By A1XFBTHZGYAZ8M on 2006-02-20
I bought this because of my broken coccyx. Before it, I tried on a "Tush Cush" and an inflatable ring. The inflatable ring is totally useless for me: (i) the 16" diameter is too small for an average adult so that you cannot stably sit in it especially when driving; (ii) when sitting in it, the inside circle of the ring is pressed down, causing the outside circle to squeeze your buttock, making my pain worse. The "Tush Cush" is made of soft foam, so the second problem with the ring still exists. So my experience is that you want to choose a cushion made of firm (if not hard) material. The memory foam that this product is made of is a right material: it is firm, yet slowly mold to your shape. However, sitting for a relatively long time, 30 min in my case, will make noticible pain. So my advice is to try to stand as often as you can if you have a broken coccyx like me.
Relief By A3NFGOTUXGPTCQ on 2006-04-08
I have a permanently bruised coccyx which aches after sitting too long, which means shifting positions, slouching, lots of Motrin, all that stuff. I was seriously looking into buying an expensive Aeron Chair when I decided to give this a try. I had used the "donut" pillows in the past with no satisfaction. This cushion works great. The heat sensitive foam forms to you when you sit on it, will reshape quickly anew when you get up, the cutout in the back is perfect for keeping pressure off the coccyx. I am very happy with the results I get and the quality of the cushion.
(as an update to this review, I started using a Herman Miller Mirra chair at work and after about 10 months I stopped using the cushion altogether as the coccyx no longer bothers me)
DO NOT buy into the hype!!! By A1OQNNIRW57EF4 on 2007-06-22
I am shocked and saddened to say that this cushion is absolutely useless. Given that almost every single review for the product on Amazon was overwhelmingly positive I hoped it would provide some relief (Not to mention be worth the ridiculous $35 price tag - PLUS $9 for shipping!?), but that is NOT the case AT ALL. Besides the fact that it's overpriced no matter what, this is NOT a "firm" cushion in any way, and immediately gives way under your weight (I am about 5'11" and only weigh 164 lbs. so I am certainly NOT huge by any means). So, it's not very comfortable as a result, and I don't think I even sat on the thing for but 15 - 20 minutes before I couldn't stand it anymore. I totally feel like I wasted my money, and quite a bit of it... There may be a ton of glowing reviews for this product here, but I can't fathom why, and would STRONGLY encourage you to try another product before this one (though sadly I have nothing better to recommend)!
Sciatica relief! By A92D5LDI2N13S on 2007-07-26
Three years ago I was admitted to the ER with extreme sciatica. It was two months before I could even begin to sit upright. Were it not for this pillow, it would have been much longer before I could sit without tears streaming down my face. Three months after the injury, I was able to take a cross-country plane trip that included an hour car trip to attend a conference with a week's worth of sitting... along with pain meds and an ever-present ice pack... because I took this pillow with me.
Since then, I've gotten one for each vehicle and have one at my desk and at my sewing/crafts table. Three years later, I still have sciatic discomfort, and I believe it would be worse more often if I didn't use this support regularly. The angled design causes my pelvis to tilt in the proper way when I sit, and this has helped to strengthen those muscles to improve my posture comfortably and improve my endurance when I have to sit without the pillow.
My mother-in-law broke her tailbone as a much younger woman and has had difficulty sitting for 45-50 years. She used one of my pillows for a few days and acted like she'd experienced a miracle! LOL! I had to get her one to get mine back for my computer chair! She recently took a bad fall and broke her femur near her hip and was confined to a wheelchair for two months. She says she doesn't think she'd have been able to endure it without her "butt pillow."
Neither of us sit anywhere for very long without one under our tush. Don't "save money" by purchasing a cheaper product unless it has the viscous memory foam and the angled design... you probably won't be pleased. The non-memory foam pillows just don't offer the same support and it is the angled design that tilts your pelvis forward slightly, relieving additional pressure on the tailbone, that provides so much relieve from pain and pressure.
If you have any sort of low back issues, I'd strongly recommend a product like this for any extended sitting... I couldn't believe how much longer I could sit after my injury when I brought this home... 2-3 times longer than without one. Which is why I've got them all over the place now! :-D If you have a "wider tush" search around for a product in a wider design, but be certain it is memory foam.
- Saved my butt!

I have been experiencing tailbone pain again since losing weight (and losing my "natural cushion"). The pain had really grown intense due to a new job with quite a bit of travel involved. I now carry my coccyx cushion on the plane with me and use it in my rental cars for the entire trip. This is the best investment I could have made for myself.
- Amazingly Comfortable and Perfect for Support
     By A32ODAXDO95III on 2007-03-17
I bought this cushion for my hard, wood, computer/desk chair. Prior to my purchase, I had used a variety of other cushioning methods to add support for my lower back, including pillows, blankets, other portable cushions, and soft clothing. My lower back had ached all day, every day since I first sat in my chair, and had continued to bother me until the day I received my coccyx cushion. The moment I opened up, placed, and sat on my new cushion, I felt entirely relieved. This cushion is amazing. Honestly, it is quite possibly the best purchase I have ever made in my life. That is saying a lot for a cushion. I've had it for about a week now, and my back pain is gone, I no longer squirm in my seat, and I can remain focused on my tasks rather than on my chair.
My only quibble with the cushion is its ability to slide on the seat, and the lack of lumbar support. To fix this, I placed a fitness non-slip mat underneath it, and it hasn't moved since. I also purchased a lumbar support cushion, which I am less satisfied with.
My recommendation to you is this: If you have lower back pain of any sort, constantly squirm in your chair, or if you work on a computer or at a desk for an extended period of time, buy this cushion. There is no question in its value to you if you meet any of those criteria.
The price is right, the shipping is lightning fast, and the company is trustworthy. I highly recommend this product.
- Inferior Product
     By A3OIHOU8TRMLA2 on 2007-08-06
Workmanship, materials and customer service are much less than should be expected. I bought this upgraded version with "memory" foam, and it is like sitting on nothing. There is none of the heralded spinal support. Had some trouble returning it, still after a month don't have a credit for it. I previously had a TUSH CUSH which was good and just bought another which is GREAT. Can't say enough good about the TushCush, and can't say anything good about the Allegro cushion.
- Great cushion!!
     By A38U2KHCHXB3GJ on 2006-12-14
I ordered this cushion recently for my chair at work and have been very pleased so far. I sit for 7-8hrs. a day at a microscope and was having trouble with my legs and (....) going numb by the end of the day. This cushion allows me to sit comfortably at my desk all day without pain. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who sits for long periods of time.
- Firm, but not too firm
     By AB01WHHHOIC9J on 2008-02-26
I dislocated my tailbone after giving birth to my daughter and I am so glad that I finally found a coccyx cushion that works well for me. This cushion is firm enough to offer support, but not too firm that it becomes uncomfortable. The cutout section in the back is properly placed to take pressure off of the tailbone. I am finally able to sit comfortable in a chair, in the car or anywhere I need to.
- Not happy with the coccyx cushion
     By A31FCLFKNL1RVJ on 2007-02-21
This cushion is way to thick and too narrow to be comfortable for me. I have a Toyota Prius and when I sit on the cushion, I feel like I am going to fall off of the side of it and it places my head too close the top. I used it for about 100 miles on one trip, threw it in the trunk and never used it again. If it was half the thickness and about 6" wider, I believe it would work fine for me.
I am 5' 10" and weight about 175 lbs, so no it is not because I am too wide or too tall.
Unfortunately, I lost me receipt and misplaced the cushion, or I would have returned it.
- You butt will thank you!
     By A3AUZCDKYES7D1 on 2007-03-10
I work on computers all day and have lower back problems. This cushion helps me get through the day. It seems a little pricy, but after using it for a few months, I can tell you its worth it.
- Memory Foam Cushion
     By AX1EFGUXGMSQG on 2007-07-23
I purchased for car use during extended trips.
Not a health issue.
Excellent. Much greater comfort enabling 4 hr drive segments.
Memory foam hits the spot. The rear end spot anyway.

- Greatly helped me during a broken tailbone!
     By A17U9JP58MLRL3 on 2007-08-23
I broke my tailbone and after the doctor confirmed it was broken (not bruised); I went looking for the traditional blow up donuts. They didn't help at all. So I went looking for the better alternative. The Coccyx Cushion is a life saver. Once I received it, I was able to sit again returning to somewhat a normal life (driving, going to the office, going to restaurants). I liked the first one so much I purchased a second so that I could leave it at the office.
My only complaint is I paid for the expedited shipping and it took 5 business days to receive the item. I was further disappointed in the shipping when I discovered that it was shipped locally in the metroplex.
- great product
     By A2DMSU7FVRL6Z on 2007-05-12
This cushion really worked well for me. It was the only cushion that was comfortable enough to sit on for long periods without damaging any nerves. I tried other seats to heal my spine problem but this is the only one that was comfortable enough.
- Relief
     By A3DPEA5E19SVY on 2007-08-16
It's just what I needed for my elderly mother. She's extremely thin and her tailbone gets very sore if she sits for any length of time. It's given her tremendous relief and we couldn't manage without it!
- Very comforable
     By A12G8PTK5JHDTA on 2008-03-09
I purchased this item for my lower back after I fell and landed on my rear. I was finding it very uncomfortable to sit for long periods. This cushion is helping me. It is firm and comfortable and seems to be holding up well.
- Works better than the donut
     By A3GH1MJHAWEGKF on 2008-06-04
My 77 year old mom fell and hit her tail bone. She was extremely picky about what she sat on. She was in alot of pain for a couple weeks. But she liked this cushion. She liked it better than big puffy pillows or a donut.
- BETTER THAN THE RING
     By A3TFL7L7W3FCET on 2007-07-13
I've used rings (dense foam type) for years, they are very helpful. Recently my dad had a small difficult-to-heal wound on the coccyx, the ring wasn't sufficent at relieving the pressure. We tried this product and are very pleased. it's a little more expensive than the ring, but well worth it.
- Excellent !

This was an excellenat transaction. Shipping was fast and the cushion was just as described. Works great, too ! Thank you.
- Fantastic!
     By AWVQO2H7J7IQU on 2008-04-21
Before I bought this pillow I was in almost constant pain and couldn't find a place to sit down that didn't make it hurt worse. This pillow is fantastic it is soft enough to be comfortable and yet firm enough to give great support. It also keeps it's shape quite well, you could be sitting on it for hours and then get up for two mins and the pillow will feel like you had never sat on it.Just be careful about doing the expedited shipping, I got a email from UPS that they had received the package info and telling me the estimated time of delivery, but the company took forever to get the package to UPS and the estimated time of delivery changed.
- Very comfy!
     By A1D9GUWR8T53SM on 2008-10-04
I bought a regular, cheap foam coccyx cushion about 3 years ago when I developed a pilonidal condition. It still helps to take pressure off of my tailbone but doesn't provide much cushion for my ample, yet bony butt. I have a computer job that involves several hours of sitting. Although my old cushion was sufficient, I wanted something softer. The first thing I noticed about this cushion was that it's much denser than my old one. At first when I sat on it I thought it was too firm but after sinking into it for a minute I found it to be quite comfortable! The cover is made of a very soft material and has a zipper for easy removal. I also like that this cushion isn't as wide as my last one so it fits in my car seat better without me having to fight with it to buckle my seat belt.
- my uncle loved this
     By A1E593XCLRUB2D on 2008-10-28
My uncle was very thin after cancer treatment and his tail and hip bones hurt when he sat for any length of time. This cushion allows him to sit without pain. He loves it.
- coccyx cushion
     By A2HEAGJ2GXQLDJ on 2008-04-14
Arrived promptly but was too firm for my mother-in-law. Was very expensive to have it not be comfortable.
- Great Cushion
     By AZXNNAKWJDR2H on 2008-08-23
My husband is in a wheelchair and we have been looking for a replacement cushion. When we couldn't find the exact cushion he normally uses, we shopped around and took a chance on this one. It was a great decision.
This cushion is firm, yet soft. Lots of support and with hours of use, it doesn't flatten out. It fits in a wheelchair with a flat seat as well as in a scooter type power chair. Great product, fast shipping and good price. Who could ask for more?
