• Quality leather case, but no shoulder strap

  When I first opened my shipment I thought that Amazon had sent me the wrong product. The packaging indicates that the camera case and battery kit are for the Nikon Coolpix 4200/5200 cameras, and I had ordered the 5900/7900 kit. Fortunately these cameras have the same dimensions and use the same battery, so it wasn't a mistake after all.
  
  The Amazon product description states that the case is made of "sturdy fabric", so I was pleasantly surprised that it is made of genuine leather. The case has a belt loop on the back and a pocket on the front for storing the spare battery or SD cards. My 7900 fits snugly inside the case and feels reasonably protected. My only disappointment is that a shoulder strap is not included as stated in the product description. Overall though I'm happy with my purchase and recommend this camera kit to anyone who can live without the shoulder strap.

  If you take a lot of pictures and/or don't want any down time, the extra battery is a must have. The leather case is soft quality leather. It protects the camera and works great for me when attached to my belt.

  I ordered this case at the same time as I ordered my Nikon Cool Pix 7900, I was headed off on vacation within days and didn't want to have to shop around. The case is nice looking, made of soft black leather with a indiscreet Nikon logo on the Velcro-held flap. By not being a padded case it doesn't take up much room, I used the case on my belt throughout two weeks of traveling and never found it getting in the way, even when getting in and out of cars. It has a small pocket which I used to carry a spare battery but could be used for a spare memory card (buy a one meg card so you don't need to.) So far it has held up well and I am happy with my purchase.

  The case fits the camera like a glove, unlike other camera cases you can buy seperately. Even though the original battery life is good - the back-up is great when I forget to charge or for long trips.

  The case is very small, just what you would want.
  My only complaint is I like to have an extra battery for a backup and there is not enough room in the case for a second backup unless you leave one battery in the camera (not recommended) Other than that nice little case.

  There is NO adjustable shoulder strap. The unit itself is ok but not great. It's compact and stylish which is nice. The pocket for the extra battery has no padding or anything to hold the battery in so if it gets tipped at all while it's open the battery falls out easily. There is an opening for a belt loop but I'm sorry - who wears a camera case on a belt loop? I bought it to have the shoulder strap which is nonexistent. It's nice to have an extra battery but you could do better than this carrying case.

  Buying this combo of the case and the battery together was cheaper than buying the battery alone! This is exactly the same factory battery that came with my CoolPix 7900. Nice to have a back up. The case fits the form of the camera well. The carry strap of the camera exits the case through the top where the flap folds over and is velcro'd shut. There is a pocket for the extra battery as well. I think its real leather. The camera does feel a little bulkier in the case with the battery, but it still fits in a pocket. Just a bit more noticeable, but still protected. Also has a belt loop on the back. Interior is lightly padded. Good case at a great combo price.

  I was very disappointed about this item. Because this item is completely imitate. There is no pad in the leather case and looks very cheap! Especially the battery dose not has hologram by Nikon, means this is imitated. Nikon announce about imitation battery and there is a possibility explosion of battery. I do not want loose my Coolpix, I discard this battery immediately. Please take care!! Do not waste money.

  I needed an extra battery for my 4200. Most are $19.99 or more for just the battery. This one is $17.99 and has a Nikon case included. However, the case did NOT come with an adjustable shoulder strap - otherwise, I would have said 5 out of 5 stars. The battery works fine and the case is basic, but nice.

  Bought this combo because it was cheaper than the battery by itself. The leather case is small but the 7900 fits inside fine along with a spare SD card and the extra battery. The case has a belt loop and the Nikon name embossed on the front. I consider the case as "free" and it does the job. The Li Ion battery is the same that came with the camera. It's always nice to have a spare and it's cheaper than buying disposables.

  Am completely satisfied with the battery kit for my 4200 Coolpix . Camera fits into the leather case snugly along with the battery . After charging the battery, i used the camera with excellent results . The peace of mind in having xtra battery back up is well worth the nominal price of the battery kit . In my estimation , a bargain .
