nice keyboard, horrid website By A1N2D7LLBAY25B on 2004-09-03
First let me say that thier is a P/S version and a USB version of this keyboard. The P/S is the one that stinks like last years socks and only comes with the standard keyset.(it also REQUIRES you to buy a keyset for every game). This version sold here is the USB version and comes with 2 keysets. The standard is very sturdy and comfortable to type on. The keys are firm and resistant to presses(which I like myself) I have no problem typing on the standard. The gaming keyboard is just that, it is for games. I love it! It is for any game. It has a left hand controll keyset for most FPS but I have found that it also works in CRPG's like Neverwinter Nights(which a keyset was once avalible for but is no longer) and even old infinity engine games like Icewind Dale- set your keys to: W=select all q=quest journal e=inventory and s=return as well as spells in A(wizards) and D(clerical) R to default(stats) and F=attack and your set to be carpel tunnel free.
my gripe(and 4* rating) is the lousy website that requires you to register personal info to get support(Mother's maiden name and all that) as well as the Zboard.com website not loading on dial-up connections. Just because some of us use dial up does not mean we don't have a life, we game too(hacker free becasue of disconnect.)
No Warranty or Customer Support By A2A48EB1WVG6AX on 2005-04-09
I purchased an WoW addon and worked for about two weeks. It then completely crapped out. My PC's keyboard becomes non-functional as soon as the WoW keyset is inserted. Support does not publish a telephone and is accessible via the web only. They have completely ignored repeated requests for assistance. They have not even responded with an acknowledgment to my requests. I would not recommend a Ideazon product to anyone. If it ever breaks, you are simply screwed.
The Best Gaming Keyboard Ever? By ARCJC4RCESC5R on 2004-08-13
Well, I won't mince words, This keyboard has to be one of the best innovations of our time.. :) The fact that it is optimized to run with most of the 3rd and 1st person action games out there already makes it a worth buy, plus, if you don't like the way the "preset" keys are mapped, you can customize them to your favorite settings.. :) The use of the keyboard itself is phenomeonal, switching keysets couldn't be easier; snap on, snap off; But what really drew me about this item is the swappable keysets customized for some of todays hottest titles.. For instance, you get the universal Keyset with this set as well as your standard keyboard, this will work for everyday activities, as well as, popular titles such as Battlefield: Vietnam, Battlefield: 1942, Farcry, Unreal Tournament 2003/2004, GTA III/Vice City, and many more! If the game is not listed, don't fret, you can still use it in any other FPS or 3rd person action game (since, the controls are usually the same), but more to the point.. The swappable keysets? Doom 3, Everquest, Age of Mythology... Cool? Yes! Makes playing the game easier and or more fun? Yes! Costs 19.99 a piece? Yes! That's the only reason I can't give it 5 stars, the beauty of it, is also it's boon, *cha ching sound*. Want the Doom 3 Keyset? 19.99. How about the EQ one? 19.99.. Well, if you want to collect them all you'll have to order direct, but if you end up going that direction, you'll spend more on the keysets than the keyboard. That's the only real downside..
To summarize, If you own a lot of the titles listed, or just FPS or 3rd person action games in general, GET THIS BOARD! :), if you don't or aren't very hardcore about it, this board isn't for you. :)
Great Idea -- Bad Execution! By A2ZUWWUFIHLV1N on 2006-05-15
The Good:
When I first heard about this board I was incredibly excited. I have been playing BF2 (Battlefield 2) for almost a year now and still continually find myself stumbling over the keys. So it was a godsend to be able to purchase something like this directly intended to help me be better at my game.
The interchangable keysets for different games and applications is quite intriguing -- the first that I have seen. But the price for each is kind of high but well worth it.
The Bad:
The board is constructed well but don't expect this to replace your home keyboard. The "Windows Keyset" that comes standard with this board has all the keys as any run-of-the-mill keyboard but it is awkward to type with (I might be biased since I have a MSoft ergonomic split keyboard).
In-game typing is difficult at best (with the gaming keysets). With most of the gaming keysets the keys on the left 1/2 of the keyboard are laid out like your home keyboard but on the right 1/2 side they are all vertical (not staggered.. like U,J and M keys are 90 degrees vertically on top of each other). The keys feel a little "cheap" .. When you push them down they don't bounce back as much.
The Ugly:
About 2 weeks after I purchases this board (and the BF2 keyset) 9 keys went completely dead. I tried to reinstall the software, reboot and even resinstalled a fresh copy of Windows XP to no avail.
I contacted support and it has taken us 3 weeks to finally reach the decision that I have a faulty base unit. DUH! They are "reviewing my warranty" but most likely it will not be covered because it has been longer than 30 day. Maybe this post is premature but I don't think I am getting a new base unit.
Conclusion:
The expression "Great Idea, Bad Execution" holds true here. My opinion: Don't buy this board. Ideazon has too many issues, not enough support staff and a website that doesn't do anything but look good.
I had a mixed experience By AV8MDYLHHTUOY on 2006-10-20
I've been PC gaming for a very long time (essentially since there have been PCs (Yes, I'm THAT old))
The good:
I was pretty impressed when I first saw the Zboard. I picked one up about a year ago for BF2 and was very pleased with the smart game layout and the easy access to commands. Very slick.
The bad:
As others have said, the drivers are a bit flaky and I've had to reset my system a few times to get things back to normal. If this were a better keyboard for general typing, I'd be happier with it, but frankly I'm not happy with the ability for normal typing.
The keys are very mushy and seem to need a longer than normal push to type. The keytops are also very wobbly and vague feeling. I normally type fairly fast, but my speed has dropped about 50% with this keyboard. Since they've munged the keyboard layout around, In-game messaging for the various keysets is difficult.
Switching keysets is sometimes problematic and I've had the keyboard get so confused that I have to reset my system.
I ended up giving this product three stars. 5 for game play and 1 star for normal keyboard use.
I finally ended up retiring the Zboard a few months back and have switched over to a Nostromo Speedpad N52
- Great board!
     By A3Q71Y8FL8FA3K on 2005-02-04
The zBoard is sweet. The ease of the keysets and the keysets that are available (like the World of Warcraft one) make it a worthwhile buy. The keyboard is comfy and feels good on the fingers. And it has TWO low-power USB ports on it for accessories like your mouse. If you are into gaming and looking for a good keyboard to use, this is one to look at. I am quite picky when it comes to keyboards and I love the zBoard system. ^_^
If you decide to buy one, buying from Amazon.com will save you a few bucks. BUT BE FOREWARNED! As someone else has already mentioned here in feedback, when I received my zBoard, it came with the OLD version of the standard keyset. I have been told by zBoard.com support that that keyset is not even produced anymore so why (and how?) Amazon.com is shipping them with the new zBoard base and gaming keyset is beyond me?? FYI, the current zBoard model is ZBD101.
Amazon.com did offer a replacement if I wanted to send the zBoard gaming system back in, but I really don't want to wait on shipping. lol Plus, I bought mine for gaming mostly anyway so no big deal as I won't be using the standard keyset much. Amazon.com did offer me a 20% refund, though, since I didn't choose to return the item. (So yay! I saved even more money. ^_^) In case you are wondering, the new version of the stndard keyset has colored-coded labels (green, blue, white) with more keys/shortcuts labeled. The old version (which I was sent) has all white labels with fewer keys/shortcuts labeled.
The zBoard is a 5/5 for me.
Note: You will want to get the newest drivers from zBoard.com. I have had a problem in the past with updating the driver and had to contact zBoard support to have them tell me all the registry keys that I needed to remove before I could suceessfully install the newest version. I have never again experienced that problem, though. ;)
EDIT 2/4/05: I was contacted via e-mail by zBoard.com support again. They're going to replace the old version standard keyset that I received from Amazon with the new version. I think this is very nice of them, especially considering I never asked for a replacement. Just some food for thought since a couple people here have had problems with zBoard.com/Ideazon.
EDIT 2/21/06: Well, it has been a little over a year that I've had my zBoard. I've had no problems with it - with exception of the wrist rest tabs breaking off, but that's because that part is cheap and the zBoard got knocked off a table twice by my cat. The zBoard base and keysets are very durable, however, (it's been knocked off the couch a few times, too. lol) and work fine. ;)
The gaming keyset IS very awkward to type on like others have mentioned. Usually, I have my World of Warcraft keyset in, though, and have no problems typing. (My boyfriend hates it -lol- and complains until he snaps in the standard keyset.)
Easy, durable, functioning, feels good on the fingers.... Those all describe the zBoard.
Still 5/5 after a year.
- A Gift for Gamers
     By A23FC9FC8D732P on 2004-10-26
This Keyboard absolutely ROCKS ! I got mine last week from Comp USA. As a hardcore Gamer I can really appreciate this keyboard and its functionalities, first of all when using the standard Windows keyboard its really about the same as other keyboards with the pretty much the same features as other keyboards like Microsoft and Logitech keyboards and sometimes I find its even better, one instance is if you open a program often in Windows like Word Pad, you can program a hot key to open it instead of clicking through windows programs folders. It works the same as programming a radio station on your car stereo, it remembers the last thing you did.. nice ! now the keys do take some getting use to, nothing major though. The keys for do feel a little less quality then other more expensive keyboards but again nothing major. Now for the Huge difference. Clipping on the Gaming keyset is very easy and fast and Zboard automatically recognizes the change for you. right clicking on the Zboard tray Icon and selecting the keyset setup and choosing a Game from a big list that Ideazon supplies and they do frequently add to list. Choosing Farcry it loads all the keys needed that come with the Game and are really nicely appointed for your convenience and ease on the left side of the keyboard all within your left-hand and within fingers reach..Awesome ! Zboard even shows you with a color diagram all the keys and what they do and where they are, it also gives you the option to print out the diagram for easy reference while you play until you get use to what's what and where on the keyboard. UT2004 is also a breeze too with the included gaming keyset. The included gaming keyset isn't very type friendly because of the way the keys are positioned, but in games like these where type chatting isn't of importance especially when the action gets hot it does not become a problem, using talk with a microphone is so much better anyways. All default keys that are in a game will be programmed for you and on the Keyset. if the game isn't on Zboard's list of games well then all you have to do is program it yourself and still then you will have all the keys you need for use at your left-hand and in fingers reach like Thief Deadly Shadows. Other games that require more keys like the upcoming Everquest 2, buying a separate keyset for $20 will be well worth it in my opinion and all you OLRPG Gamers know what I mean when I say trying to program thousand of keys it seems at times and trying to remember what each key does can be a nightmare at the wrong time in a crucial part of a game. the Zboard Everquest 2 keyset does look like a regular keyboard which will aid you in typing in chat where it will be a must to communicate and all the keys will be labeled of their function for you to see and its all programmed for you. That in itself will Kick Butt and will make the game sooo much easier and funnier to play as does the gaming keyset that comes with this set which is excellent for games like Farcry, UT 2004 and Rome Total War. There is no any other Keyboards out there for hardcore Game playing and regular Keyboards that cost as much and more can't do what this Keyboard can do for your game playing and this keyboard unlike regular Keyboards that are always a threat while gaming because of the closeness and position of the keys, mistakenly hitting the wrong key and messing up your game and even taking you out to Windows ... done that way too many times on EQ and DAoC .. now that sucks ! hehe ! this Zboard almost eliminates those problems. I haven't had any issues with Zboard and using Windows XP or any Games. The Zboard is an excellent keyboard and well worth it. after using it I would gladly pay more for it if I had to. it's worth it in my opinion! and I don't mind paying $20 again for an EQ 2 and other Game's keysets for games that I love and play for long time. It's really a Incredible keyboard for Gamers and still Windows friendly.. I Love it !

- amazon cheat
     By AACJTJSHMK8KO on 2004-12-12
the item is great, but i was dissapointed with amazon.com, in the box, i've got the older version of standart keyset. the new one has all the shortcuts printed on the keys in green color, with little text, and even on the box i've got from amazon, picture shows, that it suppose to be gree. Of course its not a big problem, but you now, you want to get, what you paid for, espessially from such trusted store...
- I think I'll wait for version 2
     By A2CFJS8FE26Z4N on 2004-08-28
I really wanted to like this keyboard. The design, layout, idea everything was great. Well all was well until I noticed a couple of things.
THE BAD
--------
#1- I don't like install drivers/software for devices, since they usualy take up valuable gaming resources. Typicly like normal keyboards/mices etc. you don't need to have there terrible software installed to work just fine. On the other hand, the Zboard will not work properly without the "drivers" installed. When I noticed it was taking up 10mb+ of ram in the backround... I wasn't pleased at all.
#2- typing when your actualy using the "gaming" layout is horrible. The keys are spaced out akwardly (probably cause of the folding) of what and takes ALOT to get used too, and you can't hit space with your right thumb :[. I found myself miss spelling word after word, and I just didn't feel right.
THE GOOD
----------
#1- The left hand side is fantastic. Buttons don't feel cheap. Well constructed.
#2- usb ports on the keyboard
CONCLUSION
-----------
This would have been the perfect keyboard if they had a better layout with normal keys in "gaming" mode, AND if there software didn't take so much space. I'm sure they could reduce the memory usage if they took off so much useless graphics etc. I hope they make some revisions to the keyboard af for now I only recommend if you don't type at all when your playing, and you don't mind the relatively hight memory usage of there software.
- Good gaming board,period
     By A2TNCJ8EEJ53SS on 2004-11-26
This board makes all gaming experiences better. No more getting lost looking for the right key.One can program the gaming set to match the game or download a custom layout from the company. I do not recommend the keysets that are onlt for one game. They really dont make that much difference. I got a free Doom 3 set, yes its neat but the standard gaming keyboard can be programmed to do the same thing. Switching between standard and game sets is a breeze. Works flawlessly with XP. Support is good from the company. They usually answer in less that one hour. A really neat product for gaming. Price is right too.
- Awesome Keyboard!!!
     By A3OGQZV6NQ5KKZ on 2004-09-01
It did not take me too long to realize that I wanted this keyboard after seeing all of its features on Amazon.com. I can only say that I am absolutely blown away by this keyboard! You cannot get anymore features packed into a keyboard for this value!
First off, the construction of the base/keysets is top-notch, not plasticky-feeling like many keyboards out there. You get 2 USB ports to boot!
Second of all, I like the intuitive software that enables the gaming keyset to recognize the game that is loaded.
I especially like the fact that this keyboard comes with 2 keysets instead of one (gaming and standard). The Standard keyset has all of the key shortcuts beautifully integrated via color-coding on the keys. As for the Gaming keyset, I was very impressed with how comfortable it felt while gaming. The keys are very well spaced out and easily identifiable.
I've read complaints about how expensive other gaming keysets are for the Zboard and all I can say is this - with the customization that is available with the gaming keyset included, there really is no reason to get any other keyset (sorry Ideazon, but there isn't).
Awesome product!
- Great concept, but Quirky
     By A1Y1ROCARIDBDN on 2005-05-04
I LOVED the IDEA of this keyboard, and being able to switch keysets, cause in addition to gaming on my computer, I also do video editing in PREMIERE and AFTER EFFECTS, and also work in Photoshop. I loved the Photoshop keyset and the gaming keysets- HOWEVER- the actual hardware had ISSSUUUUEEES!!!! Like for example I'd be working away and all of the sudden a key I HADNT PUSHED would be going ENDLESSLY and in order to make it stop I had to remove the whole Keyset!! This started happening more and more frequently and cost me alot of time and effort when I had projects ruined or crashed by this keyboard. I contacted the manufacturer, got no response- downloaded the latest drivers and all that junk- but it never got any better- in fact it got worse! Finally I removed the whole thing and went back to my old keyboard- not nearly as fun, but it WORKS RIGHT!
- Lack of Information!
     By A26V8VGJIMWYGJ on 2006-12-20
I recently orders a Zboard Keyboard and WoW keyset they both arrived on time but to my suprise i found out they only were compatable with windows something it didn't say online. I happen to have 2 macs i had to send them both back which was a waste of time and money. Let this be a warning don't buy this if you have a Mac so lack of information screwed me. And my son is very disapointed which hurts me and i didn't know what to tell him this prodect lacks info and mislead me for this i have given it a 1 star. I hope this was helpfull.
- Cost vs. Value
     By AMBKEZOLI3ROE on 2004-10-22
$40 USD + $20 USD for customized keys just for a game? I thought I would like the product, but then when I saw the price, I jumped out of my skin. I picked it up played with it for a day, and realized that it takes some getting used to. Save your money and simply customize your own regular keyboard - because this is just the same thing, but it just has a graphic yet takes up RAM and is a bit awkward.
- Fantastic Gaming Keyboard!!!
     By A3540POP5Q7XTK on 2004-11-25
Awesome Keyboard for all gamers. Not only does it come with 2 key sets it also has 2 USB ports. I just hope they keep up with the latest and greatest games. It may not work with Windows 98 but if you are still using 98 please join the rest of us in the new millenium and upgrade your OS. For $40 this is a great deal especially considering other keyboards of high caliber are twice as much. And there is no other keyboard like the Z-board.
- Good Keyboard

At first i was skeptical about its useage but now i know that it is a good keyboard. I love the ability to switch between games for layouts. Its good for lan parties. Overall Good Keyboard!
- Versatile Keyboard with small learning curve
     By A1V81ZAUGS0LE3 on 2008-01-29
I got the Zboard a few weeks ago after I saw they finally had divers for Vista (It didn't when I got my PC, so had to use the Fang gaming pad before that). I also got the Tabula Rasa & Guild Wars keyboards from Amazon & ordered an out of print gaming keyboard & 2 business keyboards from the Ideazon site.
First, I had no problems with the Ideazon site. Found the Vista driver (not on the CD) and Warrantee info (1 year on keyboards & Gaming Keyboard inserts if you have the receipt & don't peal off the keyboard label.). Their site is well laid out, so I don't know what the complaints are, unless they are old reviews & the Ideazon site has changed since then. I also found they had keyboards for Business programs like DreamWeaver, Excel & Photoshop. I thought I'd try something I knew very well (Excel) and something I knew enough to get by (DreamWeaver) but more on them later.
The keyboard comes with 2 inserts, a "normal" keyboard and a gaming one. The normal keyboard has all the expected keys, but seems like the keys are about 10% closer together, so it takes some minor getting used to. It also has a bunch of functions at the top, like Sound +/- & mute, and instant start programs like calculator, notepad, e-mail, chat, Web browser, Ideazon site & Zboard key changer. After a day my typing speed returned to normal getting used to the compression. The keys have the same top surface area, but are less pyramid like at the base, so may not accumulate as much dust. Even if it does, it's an easy thing to shake off the keyboard.
They gaming keyboard put something like the Fang on the left side, removed the 10 key pad, causing me to purchase an USB 10 key pad to plug into one of 2 USB ports in the keyboard, since I used that for gaming a lot. There is also a weird break in the middle, separating the B from the N by at least 2 key spaces. Also the Tab is tiny and the Cap lock huge, so typing can be an experience. Have not recovered my typing speed on this, and resorted to "hunt & peck" on a few occasions. But I want to game more than type, so it's not a big deal. (I always manage to get myself killed if chatting too much during gaming, and if chatting is my objective, I can swap out the keyboards in less than a minute, even in the middle of a game.) I'm not sure this is better than my old keyboard with a Fang, except Vista has stopped crashing while gaming, which it used to do on occasion with the Fang. So it is at least as good.
Tabula Rasa has a normal keyboard with special keys in the num pad area, plus the letter keys list what they do above the letters. I like this a lot except I used unused keys to turn on the Fang, and the keys in that position have weapon switch listed on them, which is a problem with the game Tabula Rasa, not the keyboard. I hate mouse navigation.
The business keyboards were a delight. Excel has everything I knew how to do, but saved me keystrokes, instead I could type an Alt or Ctrl letter or such for the commands. Very nice & I picked up on it instantly. DreamWeaver had the keys labeled so I knew how to do stuff I was too lazy to research, and just fixed in HTML because it was easier than learning how DreamWeaver did it! Excellent! I am planning to get one on Photoshop, which I know nothing about & use a less featured graphics program instead of buying a manual to teach me how to use this powerful program.
The Guild Wars keyboard I purchased works well. The only problem I had, was one time I snapped it into place without having it lined up correctly (which wasn't easy for me to do. Really had to force that lock.) and the only problem it gave me was a slow response time. Other than that one time, it has faster than normal keyboard response time, lets me easily switch my powers, has a row that can be made into often used emotes, has excellent movement keys including turning, and everything has lables to remind me what it does. The num pad is replaced by movement keys & keys to bring up windows, like your armor, or stuff in your bags.
Not all gaming keyboards have normal keys. Civilization has well over 100 circular keys. I plan to get this one too.
So, changing keyboards take almost no time & pulls up the programming that goes with that keyboard. You can create sets of macros for keyboards & easily save them & the response time is very fast if the keyboard is in correctly. The only problem I see is that I want to get every keyboard they make for every program I have or might get.
I like this a lot.

I bought this keyboard with very high expectations, because I play a lot of FPS's. While the keyboard design is very ergonomic and innovative, I found it very difficult at first to adjust my play. I kept fumbling a few keys at very critical moments. Once I got used to the layout I am finding it much more comfortable, but it still very hard to kill your keystroke instincts. I also play a lot of world of warcraft. I also bought the special WOW keyset. This keyset really is great. It has everything you need for WOW. The other nice thing about this keyboard is that the different keysets lift easily out of the frame to adjust from the regular typing keyboard to the gaming keyset. All in all a good buy

The ZBoard is the next best thing to having a voice activated keyboard that writes for you. Its great for anything you want to do. If your a gamer, get this keyboard, it has changeable keypads for all the best new games and it helps a lot! If your new or experienced this is a great keyboard. And the best part is, it works for typing as well. The ZBoard has a layout specifically . designed for typing AND searching on the web so it's good for everyone not just hardcore gamers. I love this keyboard.
- Great Keyboard
     By ARS0QZW7YUK43 on 2006-10-22
I really like this key board. I find it to be very responsive and unlike some other reviewers I haven't found that I have to press the keys and longer or harder then I do with a normal keyboard. I often leave a gaming keyset on even when I'm not playing.
My only complaint is that there is not a good instruction manual. I got this keyboard mainly to play WOW. As anyone knows there are many commands in that game and in that respect the learning curve to fully use my keyset has been a little high. I also have the Age of Empires III keyset and I have the same complaint.
All in all I am very happy with this product. I only wish it had better support.
- It's Alright...
     By A2M1IWTQCP6VXH on 2005-06-01
Not bad for the neatness factor. I have an occiasional problem with one of the split space bar buttons not working sometimes. It requires a computer restart to correct (sometimes more than once). My biggest gripe though, is that the print on the keys wears off with extended use. This totally negates the cool look of the Zboard keys sets when you have ghetto-looking half letters on your often used keys (A, S, W, D, X, C, and L-Shift for me).
Had I known about the print wearing off I wouldn't have bought it, but some people may not mind. Or maybe they just don't play as much as I do :)
- Piece of garbage.
     By A2R0UB4ER8MZH5 on 2006-02-27
Great idea. Lousy implementation.
I had high hopes for this keyboard. When I received the keyboard, I took note of it's cheap, "plasticky" construction. It's built like one of those old G.I. Joe vehicle toys.
"W" key became sticky after 1 week of use. Cleaning didn't help. After 2 weeks, the keyboard stopped functioning completely. I don't believe power is even getting to the board.
The only satisfaction I derived from this keyboard was destroying it with my bare, furious hands. That felt damn good.
Complete waste of $40.00.
Beware!
- good idea...

it's just junk, the thing had potential but it was done terribly, as for hardware it's alright, but it isn't any better than a regular keyboard, AT ALL. the thing that makes it junk is the software, i used if for a few months because i didn't want to waste my money, but i just gave up, whenever i changed keysets it would freeze and i would have to reboot or unplug the usb, i tried using their costomer support but it was worthless, i then tried to download the newest version of the software, while installing it it just froze, then i couldn't use my mouse, so i couldn't do anything, the fact that the keyboard software messed up my mouse is pathetic, i had to manually turn off my computer and do a safe start to be able to finnaly remove the horrible software.
save your money, this keyboard is worthless, i'm using a $10 dollar keyboard that i got at wallmart right now, and it is way better

My boyfriend and I each bought one of these with the Burning Crusade Keyset a few months ago. At first we were very impressed with it and it functioned beautifully. This lasted aboout three months, then mine began to be scrambled, both with the BC keyset and with the normal keyset. I have tried reseting, reinstalling the drivers, and everythiing else I could think of--nothing worked. The same thing happened to my boyfriend's board two weeks later. Have had no help from the manufacturer.
In short we had two of these die 3 months after purchase. Not good.

I got this keyboard with the Battlefield board and my boyfriend is raving about how much easier it is to play!!! Definately a must for gamers, and with the different top boards you can add to the keyboard, it makes it so much more worth it.

This is a great computer addition for gamers everywhere. Although the key layout does take a little getting used to, your fingers will appreciate not being numb from game play. It is a great feature to be able to save websites, my computer, and other applications on the simple-to-use keysets. I love the USB port where I can plug my joystick in easily for game use. I highly recommend this product if you are a moderate gamer or are in need of a new keyboard.
UPDATE: Keyboard is still going strong and holding up well. The USB ports are still working well and the key board shows no signs of wearing out. The keyboard layouts are changed all the time and my initial worries about the locking tabs breaking off have been unfounded. Excellent product!

I purchased the Zboard after seeing it for sale in the store. I have long wanted a keyboard that made gaming easier and this seemed to fit the bill. The keyboard is easy to use with its interchanging lay overs for normal qwerty style typing or its many custom game styles. Although it took a little getting used to a first, I have found that gaming goes smoother and easier now. Equally important, no more mistaken keyboard keys being hit while in active, bullets flying, bombs bursting, combat. I have used the Battlefield 2 set and qwerty set. The only downside to the keyboard is that if you intend to type a message while gaming, you will get really screwed up trying to figure out where the keys are now located on the keyboard. I try to use the in-game speech channels instead of typing. Was it worth the money? Yes certainly after I bought it on Amazon.com where the cost was lower, so after shipping I saved a couple of bucks under the suggested retail price on the company web site (and no shipping expense on top of that).
