  • Unfortunately, a bad design

    By A3HWFS1QAHX8AL on 2005-07-19
This product is poorly designed. I am very sorry I bought it.
The metal top has slits of the precise dimensions of the popsicle sticks, but once the sticks are in liquid, they expand, of course, which makes them impossible to pull out of the lid!!!! The lid, in turn, contracts, squeezing the sticks even further, so to get them out, you have to strip the sticks through the metal holes. I am surprised that no leeway was built into this part of the product, and that the materials chosen, metal and wood, while nice and recyclable, were not more carefully evaluated for performance in changing temperatures. Perhaps the mold can be used without the lid, but then the sticks will fall over until the liquid freezes.

  • it's ok but....

I like the Donvier molds better. This has a steel plate on top with holes for the sticks. Unfortunately, the sticks sink or float to the side because the holes are too big. You have to hold the mold under warm water for about 10 seconds to get a frozen pop out of the mold.

  • I don't know what the others are complaining about...

    By A3S3DZJ3PS73FF on 2007-05-22
...The popsicles come out pretty easily if you run the molds and top quickly under warm water, then squeeze the molds to loosen, and they pull right out! Just remember to not fill the molds completely to the top as to avoid the popsicle expanding and sticking to the lid when freezing. I love how this set has 10 molds!

  • homemade popsicle/fudgesicle are the best

    By A3MFGMRO2ITMJK on 2005-07-27
I love this product. I make my own sugar free fudgesicles and they are great. Even my finicky neighbor thought they were terrific. This product makes something that adults can really appreciate, and I am sure children would too. I have no kids but grandnephew though fudgesicles tasted just like store bought or better. Simple easy to make. Fudgesicles, pudding mix, 3 c. mile, and three dollaps of either plain yogurt or sour cream, mix in blender and poor into mold. Should fill up all ten. Freeze for 4 hours and ta da...fudgesicles. Enjoy

  • Fun Product!

All around a great product. Hard to get the sticks in straight, but other than that, I have no complaints. The shape and size of the popsicles is just perfect, and I like the fact that you use disposable wooden sticks. I love what you can make with them. My friends think it's a riot when I make them popsicles, and I like making them cause I can make healthy popsicles that taste great! My favourite is frozen pureed fruit...

  • NOT EASY USE
    By A39QVALEJAXU43 on 2007-05-14
Once they are frozen, it is a fight to get them out without wetting the container, and then what does one do with them after they are all loose? AND, if you try to leave them in the container to refreeze after you take out the one you wanted, then just try to get that stupid top back on ...Grrrrr! And if you do manage to get it on, it falls off anyway! Grrrrrr..

I always knew I could make better Popsicles than I could buy in a store.

  • Can't get the popsicle out of the container
    By A1V1DY6DG1EKCY on 2007-05-15
I was really looking forward to this product. After attempting to use it to make pudding pops, icecream pops, koolaide pops, etc, I have finally decided that they don't work. The popsickle does not come out of the plastic container. I called the company that makes them and they did not have any suggestion as to how to make these work. They told me to return them to the company that I bought them from. Well, my husband threw away all the information because he was frustrated so now I have these plastic things that are worthless. I don't recommend these to anyone. If the company would like to contact me and do the honest thing and let me know either now to make them work or how I can get my money back, it would be nice. I am sure this won't happen. I guess this is the way you learn your lessons the hard way in this world. What a rip off!

  • Not the best
    By AHRRUC0PK58Q9 on 2007-09-11
I bought 3 different popsicle making sets to have some fun and make some healthy treats. This one is my least favorite of the three by a long shot. It doesn't come complete apart so to get a popsicle out you have to soak the whole thing in water. Then it is wet and you must dry it before putting it back in your freezer... unless you would like it frozen to your freezer, of course. Also, the lid was a pain to get off. The first time I just ran it under water and that helped a bit (still wasn't as easy as I'd like for the little ones), but it's better just not to use the lid at all. Freeze the pops partially, then insert the sticks. I was most greatly disappointed that I can't take it completely apart though, that's the worst part.

  • Great

These molds work very well, the lid that holds the sticks is nice but can be a little hard to remove.

  • Great product
    By A1ELPYBYWDGM6V on 2007-06-26
We have only made popsicles once with this so far but they were great. Just remember not to shove the sticks all the way to the bottom of the mold like I did :-)

  • Not a good design
    By A2HT0OQN5Y0QXL on 2007-11-27
It's really a lot easier to make pops if we use individual molds. The fact that these share a bottom makes it hard to get out just one or two pops at once. I recommend Tovolo or Cuisipro popsicle molds because they are stand-alone.

  • Great Product
    By A1ZAC0ZV8RU3LJ on 2007-07-29
The ice pop maker is a sturdy product, well made and easy to use. The top is a little tricky to pull off from the sticks after the pops are frozen so instead I let the pops freeze without the cover until the sticks can be inserted. The top then really isn't necessary. I've made lots of flavors by blending instant pudding mix with milk and adding chocolate chips, chunks of cereal or packaged crumb crusts as I pour the mixture into the molds. A few hours later I run hot water over the plastic to unmold. Wrap the pops in waxed paper and place in a zip lock freezer bag to store in the freezer. Try combinations using flavored syrups for coffee drinks.

  • Yum!
    By A1MFYXU65P2M4B on 2008-08-12
If you soak the sticks in water for about an hour before you use them, they won't float up or expand...making it easier to get them out of the tray after the popsicles are frozen. Enjoy!!

  • Excellent

I love this product, I already had one and purchased this as my second. It's a well made prodcut, no complaints at all.

  • Popsicle Maker
    By A2GN895DO4FAPD on 2007-10-22
Works well - but picture is a bit deceiving. This tray makes the larger popsicles NOT the type that can be easily broken into (2) popsicles. (Like the ones you buy in a store)

  • Poor design
    By A14SUSCB0AMGSN on 2007-12-23
There is nothing easy about using this product. The sticks which came with our set were much smaller than the slot for them, so they float up out of the slots at strange angles. You have to let the icepops partially freeze (about 1/2 hour), then remeber to jam the sticks in. Also, the only way to get the pops out is to run hot water on the mold, which defeats the purpose of having a nice icy pop. There must be a better product out there.
