finally something that does what it says By A3GQKB1KF0CRPE on 2005-05-19
been down the road with flea and tick collars. Most seem to work when they are new. After the first month it's down hill all the way. Also, after having problems with another brand and was looking for something that was vet recommended. This comes with that recommendation. However the proof is in the pudding as they say -- or in this case the pussy cat.
This stuff does what is say. It stops fleas. So do your pets the favor. They will thank you. It's given once a month on their shoulder blades. Nothing I have ever used works this good.
Enough said.
Caution: Some cats get determined to twist themselves in a pretzel to lick this. I can caused them to foam at the mouth and make them hyper for about 24 hours after. Solution is easy. Take an old sock and trim the toes for an opening for kitty's head and the cut two arm holes. Makes a kitty' vest and will keep them from licking their shoudlers. Keep them in it for about 24-36 hours. No problems.
My cat had an allergic reaction to this product... By A2TGIBQQ9UI1XU on 2006-04-10
My 8 year old cat suffered what my vet called 'a rare allergic reaction' to this product. The vet also said 'too bad, too, as it is the best product of its kind on the market'.
Within 24 hours of its application, my cat had bald burned spot about the size of two quarters. The skin looks like a chemical burn - irritated, pink and bit gooey. The vet said to apply OTC topical hydrocortisone cream and that it is possible the fur will not grow back in the affected area. In any case, the cat is on the mend.
I called the toll free number on the Frontline box and spoke with a vet tech. He documented the cat's reaction and medical condition. He also said to send the remaining product back to Frontline for a full refund, which was a nice surprise.
I am not saying not to use this product, just keep an eye on your pet if you do.
INCREDIBLE !!!!!!, .............NO FLEAS By ACYR6O588USK on 2007-05-16
INCREDIBLE !!!!!!
I've used powders, I've used flea dips and flea shampoos and sprays flea combs.I then even resorted to garlic in their diets and on their fur..........nothing worked.
Then I tried Frontline, with my discouragement. Fleas are tough !
Frontline got rid of my ENTIRE FLEA PROBLEM.
great product and service By AQO93E02G4BFE on 2007-05-16
This stuff works so well and I got it so quickly! Thanks so much.
Did it's job By AIL409L23XQL8 on 2007-05-07
Took care of our existing flea problem right away. Have not seen any more of them, we are on our third month now. I put it on my cat the first of every month, and will probably never stop using it. Much cheaper than a trip to the vet, to be sure. Excellent product.
- This is the only Frontline package you should buy
     By A1ECGP17HRBXXV on 2007-06-07
The company that makes FrontLine has one mission in life, and that is to utterly maximize the revenue it can generate from the stuff, I assume before it goes off patent. They pursue this mission with such zeal that they shamelessly and mercilessly rip off cat and small dog owners by selling the product per "dose" rather than per fluid ounce. Since cats and small dogs use much smaller doses than large dogs, cat and small dog owners end up paying about twice as much per fluid ounce of the stuff than do large dog owners. To prevent most people from doing the obvious, they package the stuff in single dose packages that must be ruined to be used.
So THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, to the enterprising people who are reselling large dog size doses with a simple storage bottle, a tiny syringe that lets you measure out an appropriate dose, and little reminder "paws" you can tape to your calendar to remember the next dose. Finally, cat and small dog owners pay a fair price.
Chalk one up for the good guys.
- Perfect for eliminating fleas
     By A2VE83MZF98ITY on 2005-09-25
In my household of several cats, many of whom enjoy going outdoors (and bringing occasional things inside, including fleas), we need something to keep the pests (the fleas, not the cats) under control. Frontline is one of the better products available for this purpose.
I've tried other solutions - flea collars, products from other sources, and have only found one other item that matches the Frontline effectiveness for eliminating fleas. Within a day of the first use, the cats had stopped scratching and licking incessantly at their fleas. One of my cats is particularly allergic to fleas, and breaks out with sores at the flea bites - for him, Frontline is nothing short of a miracle.
I have known cats to have serious reactions to the flea drops from some companies. My cats have had absolutely no bad reactions to the Frontline applications.
This is a product I will definitely buy again. My cats give this a big 16 paw salute (four cats, four paws each, you get the drift).
- Absolute essential for pet parents
     By A3GA09FYFKL4EY on 2006-12-29
Product works wonders and quickly brings the worst infestations under control. We moved into an apartment that turned out to be swarming with fleas from a previous owner. Frontline got them off the pets, we sprayed the apt, had everything under control within three days. Protects your pets long-term, and remember that cats often get tapeworms from eating fleas, so FrontLine keeps them healthy in more ways than one. Can't recommend this enough
- Frontline PLUS for Cats
     By A37NXN78G1DEY6 on 2006-07-08
We have 3 indoor/outdoor cats and live in the middle of a forest - so ticks and fleas flourish around us. I use this product once a month and have not had a problem with ticks or fleas... I went through a "house infestation" once and swore it would never happen again. And I don't think it will, as long as I remember to apply the Frontline PLUS!
- DONT BUY ANYTHING ELSE !
     By AU8ZCIUZS4TSJ on 2005-06-09
This is the ONLY flea and tick repellent you will ever use again. This product works 100% and doesnt carry with it the bad side effects that some of those other flea spot products can cause, including heart conditions. Its safe and works even beyond the 30 days recommended dose.
- Frontline Plus Cats 6pk
     By A4VXOPYZD07XR on 2007-05-06
I have three cats and they go outside in the backyard almost everyday. They have to use Frontline so they are not always itching and scratching to death! This stuff really works. One day I found a tick on me I had just picked up one of the cats and a few minutes later I found this tick. Had it not been for Frontline the tick would have clung onto the cat and God knows if I would have ever found it. They have long fur so it would have been a lot harder! The price isn't bad either. If you are a cat person like me and love your babies you will want to protect them and Frontline does the job.
- Too Expensive and Didn't Work
     By A1EENZXCQ3T0KG on 2006-08-15
This product was expensive and it didn't work. I applied it as directed to my cats and found fleas on both of them 1 week later. It didn't kill them as promised within 48 hours. I called the customer service line for the seller and they told me it might take longer because of the heat. I also purged my house with flea-killing products. It's one month later -- I ended up applying it again within 2 weeks even though it said to wait a month and it didn't work the second time either. So, after using the product twice, the cat is still not flea-free.
Also, one of my cats got very sick and died shortly after I applied this product -- The vet and I contacted Merial, the producer, and it didn't sound like it was related to the use of their product, but its worth mentioning because if you have a cat that is sickly or weak by nature, it may not be a good idea to use this product. Also, when this cat was in the vet hospital they used the competitor's product on her, Advantage.
- It's like Tina Turner said: "simply the best."
     By A39DJPSM962NVO on 2006-07-14
When I first got my cat he came from one of the filthiest houses I've seen outside of an episode of "Cops." Roaches crawling all over the walls, garbage pilled on the floor and the sink - I had to save the little kitten from that nightmare. After I got him home, it was no surprise he had tons of fleas, so I took him to the vet to get all checked up. The vet gave me a sample of Frontline and I think most of the fleas were gone by the first or second day. A couple of months after the inital vet visit I noticed he was starting to get fleas again, so I went out and bought the 3-pack of the Frontline and have been using it every month since. I haven't seen a single flea since! This stuff is awesome and I love it. It's better than Advantax (or whatever that other competitor is called) because Frontline also takes care of ticks, something Advantax does not do (according to my vet). I've never tried the regular Frontline. It's worth it to spend a couple of extra bucks to protect your cat and you seriously will not have any worries about fleas ever if you use this every month. The packs even come with stickers you can put on your calendar to remind you when to apply it to your cat.
- Way better than Advantage
     By A36N62I47U9IIH on 2006-07-08
This product actually works for more than 5 days! I used to use Advantage, but decided to try Frontline instead. Advantage will kill the fleas that are on your dog or cat now. But it doesn't keep them flea free for 30 days like it claims it does. I tried it three times on my cats. After about 5 days, they were back to their usual biting and scratching, and I was back to picking fleas off of them. I finally tried Frontline for the first time, and it's been about 3 weeks and I have't seen a single flea on any of them (I have 7 cats). I haven't been bitten once since I put the Frontline on them. Dont' waste your money on Advantage, buy Frontline.
- Frontline Plus Cats
     By A6XKNAN5VKRSK on 2007-03-31
Frontline Plus Cats 6pk is what I ordered and was the real product. I find Frontline works better on my pets than other company products. It also has no ill effects for my pets.
- Good transaction

I'm always satisfied with my transactions with this seller. The product comes in good condition and packaging. I have no complaints.
- Happy Cat
     By A126ZJOPKSVBJQ on 2006-08-05
We've used Frontline Plus for a couple of years, and my wife finds dead fleas within hours of its application. Opening the plastic applicator's packaging tests my patience, and the applicator itself needs refining: Snapping one open leaves two sharp corners, making it too easy to jab the back of Kitty's head when she struggles.
- It works, but PLEASE be careful!
     By A1XYJAGFBNIM2F on 2006-09-04
I used this product on my cat for years--since his kittenhood, and he's now eight.
I never had a problem until recently. It appears now when I use Frontline that he has an allergic reaction to it; a silver-dollar sized chemical burn appears within hours of application, and within a day he has a bald spot to accompany it.
He is now enduring twice-daily hydrocortisone treatments and a sweater vest made from an old sock. (Have you ever tried to put a 16 lb cat in a sock? I caution you; it is an exercise in patience and dexterity.)
- Invest in the competition instead
     By AX9FFS9AIVLV6 on 2006-11-02
Advantage (Bayer) is MUCH better that Frontline. Frontline worked for the first week, then the fleas came back. By week three my cats were infested, with one week to go for their next treatments. Horrible product. Advantage (the one made by Bayer), has cleared up 98% of the fleas my cats had in just two months, where Frontline couldn't keep them flea free in the 6 months I used the product.
- Great job

The service was good and the shipping was incredibly fast. Will use again.
- cat stuff

everything arrived quickly and undamaged. You can't ask for anything better than that.
- didn't work for my cats
     By A2QRFP4GZZQKMU on 2008-02-18
My vet doesn't carry Advantage any more, so my Neighbor and I tried Frontline. Between us we have five cats. Frontline didn't work at all for our cats.
When I asked my vet why they had stopped carrying Advantage, he said because the fleas in the area were developing a tolerance for it. However, we found the opposite to be true. After waiting for three weeks after a dosage of Frontline, we tried Advantage again and it worked immediately and lasted more than 30 days. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone studied flea tolerance trends for these medications in the US?
- Burn on my cat from Frontline
     By ATCD0SUGL7IP7 on 2008-03-21
My cat lost fur and has such irritated skin that it's bleeding. I'm following the previous advice and using hydrocortizone cream. Never buying this product again.
- What happened?
     By A1UDMY7BHK1XO1 on 2008-06-28
When this product first came out on the market it was THE flea control solution. However, over the last year or so I have had several people tell me it did not work for them.
We were going to a "Pet Friendly" hotel for Thanksgiving Holiday and taking our diabetic cat with us. I treated her with Frontline (I use Revolution on all my indoor/outdoor cats because it protects for heartworm and we have NOT had a problem until now!!!) about a week before we left. She came home with fleas and flea eggs. Not realizing it was Frontline Failure, I treated all my indoor only cats with frontline and treated the furniture and carpet. Three months of treatments later there are even more fleas! Frontline is NOT cheap and to keep spending money on a product while the fleas thrive is beyond frustrating.
I am hearing this same story more and more. I don't know if the fleas are becoming immune to the Frontline OR if the manufacturer has changed the ingredients. In either case, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
The cats treated with Revolution never brought fleas into the house. I didn't use it for Annie because I thought it would be "over kill" to treat her for a multitude of parasites when all I was worried about were fleas and ticks.
FRONTLINE USED TO WORK, BUT IN MY EXPERIENCE IT DOESN'T ANY MORE.
Please note that many of the positive reviews for this product are from 2005/2006--back when it still worked.
- Kills Fleas, Cat not Dead
     By A3PZ1KFHZ7PC1G on 2007-02-07
I've heard all types of horror stories about Hartz and other budget monthly flea medicines killing 20% of cats. Frontline has not killed my cat so far. Yay! Seems to work fairly decently, although you may need to apply every 20-25 days or so instead of every 30. Doesn't seem to work quite so well near the end of the cycle.
- Still Removing Ticks
     By A3SFHDVU9WXC74 on 2008-07-17
I have three cats that are always treated with Frontline and have been for several years. This order of Frontiline apparently was not effective, perhaps even too old to be sold. We applied it to our indoor cat as well as the two that go outside. A week after applying, I was pulling two ticks from my kitty's ears. They were attached to his ears and it wasn't easy to remove them. This particular order of Frontline did NOT work.

- Great Service
     By A3J9A73AEEA86X on 2006-11-07
This is one of the best products out there, a good price and very timely service.
- Seems to be working great.
     By A3LP4U6DH53JL4 on 2007-01-31
We've been having flea problems with our cats and been using various sprays since they were still young (under six months). Now that they're six months old we decided that Frontline Plus seemed to be a good option. So far its been a month since we applied it and I haven't seen a flea since. I plan on reapplying every month for the next few months to see if that eliminates our flea problem for good.
- Better than anything else out there
     By A66CWIHWUCTFL on 2007-07-25
It doesn't work perfectly, and it only lasts a month, and it costs too much--but it is better than the other products available, as far as I can tell.
