  • The Best There Is!

    By A3PWF2AQ5XYALW on 2005-06-13
Frontline Plus is the best way to keep fleas and ticks off your dog. It is applied once per month in about 3 minutes. It seems to have little or no side effects on the dog. It has been used for many years on dogs without problems. I checked all products and asked various vets and everyone agrees that Frontline Plus is the best way to keep ticks and fleas off your dog. The Plus even kills the flea eggs.

  • This product is not working.

    By A38OHTO17JYEJS on 2006-05-25
I bought this product for my dog. I have not seen any improvement in her flea problem. I called the company and got nowhere. I even suggested that maybe I had just gotten a bad batch of the product. They continue to say that I have to use the product for 3 months before they will give me my money back. I took my dog to the vet today and they even confirmed that my dear dog is covered in fleas. I will never ever use their product again with such an uncaring company policy. I believe that my dog does deserve better. By the way yes I have followed all the direction on the box and even treated my yard for fleas.

  • Best Deal

    By A25OLZRDMPVA24 on 2005-07-09
We love frontline plus! Our dog had a bad case of fleas d/t our move out to WA. We are renting a place that was seriously infested. She is slowly improving. The vet suggested that we apply it every 2 weeks until the problem is resolved and to keep her out of the water eventhough it states that it is waterproof. The vet also suggested that we avoid toughing her because it interfers with the action of the product. All of this info helped us and maybe can help others with a flea problem. This was the best deal we found!

  • Flea and Tick Free

    By A34W7QA4J5UTOR on 2008-07-08
My dog is a Chow mix and very furry. Ticks are impossible to find under her two layered coat until it's too late. At first, I tried cheaper brands. They work on ticks but do nothing for fleas. Then my vet recommended Frontline. I later tried K9 Advantix since they claim to also kill mosquitos, but I didn't notice any difference with the little bloodsuckers. And the protection from K9 Advantix didn't seem to last as long so I switched back to Frontline.

Frontline works great for us. My dog is an outdoor dog and our county reportedly has more deer than people. And with deer come deer ticks. I've seen deer in my back yard and my dog's house is very near the woods for shade. And she likes to take the occasional jaunt through the woods. Still I rarely find a tick on her. And when I do, they're usually dead (or soon will be).

I wish I'd known Amazon was selling Frontline for a better price sooner. I've been purchasing only 3 months worth for about $50 from another site for the last 2 years. Very frustrating since before you know it, you're out. With 6 months worth I only have to remember 2 times a year instead of 4.

  • Frontline

    By A2LY7NY39WOYMQ on 2007-01-18
The product is very effective on fleas when used once a month. It is less effective on ticks after three weeks so you should check your dog carefully if ticks are active in your area. We have used product fo over 6 years with our 70 lb lab and will continue to use it.

  • Side effects and reactions
    By A1LT9TWRAASNCF on 2008-06-08
Years ago I noticed that within minutes of applying it, my dog became lethargic and decidedly unwell. I reported it to my vet and he poo poo'ed the idea that dogs react adversely to Frontline. Well it happened a couple more times so I played safe and changed to another brand and surprise surprise, no side effects. Then recently, I did not have the other brand but had Frontline in my drawer and my dog was scratching like mad - so I applied it. Within minutes poor fella was acting strange - almost like a fit. I rushed him to the vet and saw a different one on duty. He confirmed that many people had reported their dogs reacting to Frontline. At least that made me feel I wasn't imagining things. So, all I'm saying is, just as with human medication and side effects, if you notice your dog behaving strangely a short while after applying Frontline,(becoming quiet, lying in his bed for an abnormally long time, shaking his head as if he was trying to get rid of something in his ear, etc.)you might want to consider something else. No-one wants their dog to suffer.

My neighbour swears by Frontline - says she wouldn't be without it and her dog acts no different when it is applied.

  • The product does what it claims to do
    By A1B8SX7SFZBOXK on 2006-04-30
Gone are the old days when I would spend over $100 for multiple products claiming to get my pets rid of fleas with little to no result. Remember the frustration? I am highly sensitive to fleabites, so I got pretty angry that there is an array of products on the market out there just NOT doing what they claim. Never buy Hartz products for your pets by the way, these are harmful, especially to cats!

Then, I found Frontline for both my dog and cat and started using it religiously, every month (1 single dose/month), from spring to autumn. ALL the fleas were gone. I didn't have to use any other product to back this one up. It works, and fast. Do something good for your pets. Buy this product! The doses are expensive but well worth it. Nothing else works like it.

  • Love it
    By A2OM2SA6QV91WL on 2006-07-25
I have had my dog on frontline plus since she was old enough. Once i missed a dose and she was covered in fleas. As soon as i put the frontline on she was rid of them in 2 to 3 days. I could not reccomend this product more.

  • Itchy Dogs
    By A2F6898KIIFGM1 on 2007-05-14
I've used Frontline before and was very pleased. My dogs and I go to the park a lot and of course the fleas get a piggy back ride to our home. I bought Frontline after watching the dogs itch like crazy and the product was delivered earlier than expected so that was nice for the dogs.

However, I heard that Advantage has an ingredient that prevents fleas from hitching a ride. So, I might try that next time.

  • There shouldn't be any other products claiming to do what this one actually DOES
    By A14EVLEXI93VZ on 2007-08-01
We tried multiple products on our ~40 pound chow. Some were sprays, some were pills, none of them ever worked. Please believe me - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANYTHING ELSE. I will not say it's the best product to kill the fleas your dog's suffering from, this is the only product that will do so. Apart from the itch our dog was suffering, it quickly developed some kind of allergy to the flea bites which caused drastic fur loss. I was kinda uneasy with the way I applied the product since our dog's fur is very long and it got on the way so I was ready to repeat the procedure in few days, but within 24 hours she was as good as new. No compulsive scratching and biting. A week later her fur was back to normal and all the hairless spots caused by the allergy are filling in great. Very pleased with Frontline.

  • Real stuff
    By A3LPXCS8YXDFLS on 2008-03-13
This is real Frontline in regular retail packaging. Registered EPA product and not immatation. Great price.

  • Whata price!
    By A23HWKXXUIMY0Z on 2008-04-27
Could not believe my eyes when I saw this Frontline Plus 6 pack listed for this price. From other online competitors, would have been at least $30 more for the exact same thing. Quick shipping, and expiration dates are 3 years away. Thumbs up!

  • Manufacturer of this product said I received counterfeit products.
    By A2GO6AOQN90HKZ on 2008-06-10
I researched this product before I bought it through ebay.

I was disappointed when the items showed signs of counterfeiting.

I called the manufacturer of this product - Merial- to confirm these signs. I was told by several layers of customer service that Merial does NOT put an expiration date anywhere on the packaging of this product.

Merial stated that counterfeits of their products have expiration dates.

Merial sent me replacement packages of the genuine product after I mailed them the counterfeits. I had to pay for the mailing...$$.

    BUYER BEWARE.

  • Buyer Beware ... counterfeit products, product divergence ... who knows what you are getting?
    By A326D2U3W6FYIA on 2008-06-29
Like many manufactures of veterinary medications and products, Merial, the manufacturer of Frontline Plus, has indicated that they only provide their product through veterinarians. Frontline Plus obtained from a source besides a veterinarian may be counterfeit or obtained through product divergence from other sources. If a manufacturer cannot track the distribution route of their product, they usually won't take responsibility for its lack of effectiveness or any complications associated with its use. Veterinarians help assure that these medications and products are used safely and that problems are addressed if necessary.

Just be careful when purchasing any medication from a non-veterinary source.

  • Frontline Plus(Only the best for my dogs)
    By A2ARELJA2FXIJP on 2005-07-05
Frontline Plus is a great product that works. I tried the cheaper products and none compare with Frontline Plus. My dogs deserve the best. Shouldn't yours.

  • Hard to get excited
    By A1JF567910L31H on 2007-11-01
My dog got a tick at the end of the month cycle. It is hard to state if my application was less then perfect or stuff just evaporates at the end of the cycle. At least there are no allergies noted so far.

  • Excellent Product
    By A3MZRI6F8C6MJ1 on 2008-04-18
We have a male Samoyed with a gorgeous, super dense, thick coat. He had fleas once and it was a nightmare! We started using the frontline and it is a wonderful product. Never saw another flea again! It is very easy to apply. My dog gets excited when he sees me pull the package out because he knows a treat is coming when I am done putting it on him!!! On the tick end...We have land in WV and in the spring and summer the ticks can get pretty bad. If we find a tick on him, it is either dead or just crawling on the tip of his fur. It will not dig down inside of his coat because the frontline kills it....and if we do happen to find one inside his fur, it is always dead! I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to eliminate dealing with fleas or ticks. IT WORKS!!!!!

  • SEIZURES and $1000 VET BILL - DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!
    By ACHVDTA8W3WPK on 2008-06-12
I've been using this product for eight years.
After using the one purchased over the internet,
my dog had two seizures within two hours and
two days of Diarrehea. After spending $1000
on emergency vet care, I'll stick to a flea collar!

  • A must have!
    By ATLSS6Q7WXNOB on 2007-03-21
This is by far the best flea and tick prevention that I've used. One dose will last my dog at least 2 months even when the fleas and ticks are at their worst.

  • The best
    By AN7NK92JUYU98 on 2007-04-20
If you have a flea problem don't waste your money on collars, soap and other products you will be disappointed with, just get Frontline. This stuff really works, incredibly well. One time to try to save money we tried a similar product that had a citrus smell to it but the product did not completely control the fleas. We went back to Frontline and have faithfully stayed with it because it works. I highly recommend Frontline to any pet owner who wants to completely forget about flea problems. I use this on my Doberman. She stays in our house and thanks to Frontline we have no worry of fleas.

  • Simply works.
    By A3LMQFHE1LQOEA on 2007-08-23
We had been attempting to rid our Golden Retriever of fleas for about two months and couldn't find a product that would work for us. We were trying to find something inexpensive to help us. We bathed with different shampoo products, we used different flea collars, but nothing seemed to work. Finally I reached my limit and I'm sure the dog did also, she was scratching day in and day out, so I purchased the Frontline on here from a marketplace seller. Once applied it did take about a week to notice big results; but it worked. It has worked great, we're about a month out and she hasn't shown any symptoms of having fleas again. Of course you have to do your diligence and continue to bathe and brush your dog but this will take care of the problem.

I have used Advantix and Front line plus, I belvie I have better results with Front LIne PLus. We have 4 large indoor dogs and no flea or tick problems to report. IF you follw the directions, front line will work for at least two months.

  • Frontline Plus...it works
    By AA64UG0NPUFKJ on 2007-11-12
Twelve years and three dogs and Frontline Plus never failed. All my dogs were flea ant tick free. I have lived in Florida with a sandy yard and lots of fleas--husky shepherd remained flea/tick free. I moved to an area of Maryland that backs to a creek, low-lying swamp wetlands, and is wooded. There are more deer than people and lots of other wildlife. None of my dogs ever had fleas or ticks. We take the dogs hiking in woods--no fleas or ticks. I love this product. It's especially nice that you can bathe the animal and not worry about the product losing its effectiveness. Unfortunately, some people apply the product infrequently in an effort to save money, or they apply it only when the dog shows signs of fleas or ticks. I know a person that only uses it in the warm months and stops it in the winter. These folks then say why didn't the product work? The product has to be used as directed--a once a month application. Buy it you'll like and your dog will love you more!

  • Good value! Good, good purchase.
    By A39O70DR5RQKSJ on 2007-12-26
If I get this stuff from my vet, I can't get it in these large packages and it's TWICE as expensive. I checked around at other local pet supply places, same thing, almost 2x's as much per dose.

This is great because I only have to order twice a year, it comes right to my door, and I save a lot of money.

As far as this product, I buy the cat and dog versions for my pets, it works great and doesn't seem to have any ill effects. In the winter my dog needs it about every 6-7 weeks, the cats only need it about every 10-12 weeks. In the summer my dog needs it every 4 weeks, cats every 6-8. Ticks LOVE my dog, and this stuff really keeps them away. Good stuff, good purchase, good price.

  • Powerful
    By A2RFS3ILG6DDES on 2008-02-15
I have a Siberian husky (~65lbs) and a black lab (~65lbs) that picked up bad flea infestations when I moved into a new apartment. Treated them with pyrethrin based sprays and all the floors with the same for a week straight, with very little relief or results from it.

After comparing Frontline with Advantage, BioSpot, and a few other brands, I chose to use Frontline because of it's proximity lethality for fleas - where the dogs go (corners they lay down in, anywhere they lay to chew bones, etc), the nearby fleas and flea eggs die, without having to hop aboard. The package says it kills fleas within 24 hours. My experience was about 24 hours for my Lab to be flea free, and about 48 hours for the husky. The husky had the worse infestation and the double coat makes for lots of warm hiding places for bugs as well as hinders the spread of any topical insecticide. This stuff still cut right through it through.

Apparently, Frontline also works well at killing spiders, or spiders' food supply. Before applying it to the dogs, we'd find several spiders every week, randomly crawling around the apartment. Since a little after the initial application, we haven't found any. Kinda nice having two roving insect killers who don't even know it.

  • Comparison of Reviews
    By ANO1GKGPE9L5A on 2008-03-09
I've used both, and to me the one that is least harmful to the animal is best. From the reviews, I see MANY more 'sick dog reviews' from Advantix, around 30%. I see no such reports of sick dogs with Frontline.

I'd like the mosquitto protection, but I have to rely on the heartworm pills.

  • Great Flea & Tick Meds.

I love the quality of service and products available at great prices. I couldn't be happier.

  • Great Product-Very Effective
    By A15B83I50GYBW9 on 2008-04-15
After trying several other brands and having our dogs still itch continually, a friend recommended we try Frontline.
In just one month we noticed a remarkable difference, the constant scratching was gone.
We now only have to use it periodically, not every month.
What a blessing for us and a relief for our pets.

  • The Best!
