  This wire allows my Dell Inspiron 9300 to use my Samsung HLS-5679W 56" LED Engine 1080p DLP HDTV as its monitor in full 1920x1080 resolution.

• Use from laptop to LCD TV!

  Like I write in the title I use this from my laptop to 32" LCD TV! Only reason to do so is to play Netflix instant movies from the "net" without having to watch them on the laptop's 15" screen! At 10' I can pretty much place the laptop anywhere I choose.
  You'll need a 3.5 stereo audio cable to tranfer the sound. It plugs into the earphone jack on the laptop.
  
  You could just as easily do the same thing with your desktop PC to your LCD TV, so long as you have the connectors match up.
  
  Lastly, it is a way to use your TV as a monitor, whether or not you play movies.

  Recently moved some things around in my home office...including my PC which meant my 6' monitor cable that came with it was too short...rather than use an extension cable because I've heard they are not as good as an option due to loss of signal strength etc., I opted for this as a replacement cable. I looked at several others in the 10 foot range...read somewhere over 12 feet and you start to lose signal strength and I just needed a couple more feet. The others I looked at...a Belkin for over $20.00, and another for $4 bucks and change...neither had Ferrites and this one did for around $8. Tiger Direct sent it so fast I almost found it on my door step after I hit Place Order on Amazon.com...very nice. I have a big 21" Nokia 445PRO from a long time ago...and this cable give me a nicer picture than the original cable that came with the monitor...no Ferrites there on the original either. Anyway...quality product...great seller.

  I'm getting beautiful 1920x1080 on my LCD TV from my computer with this cable. However, I think I should have gotten the shorter length, this length was to reach the coffee table, now I think it's better to have the computer near the TV, and use a wireless media center keyboard instead.

  Thanks for the excellent cable! I used this cable to connect my laptop to JVC 1080p HD TV (video only, no sound. This cable means to connect to TV as monitor). The display on my TV is much better than my LCD laptop display. The cabe is really thick but very soft and flex so it can turn conners.

  We purchased this cable not knowing that Sony provides a shorter cable as a standard accessory for the LCD television we bought. It is approximately twice the length of the supplied cable and is quite a bit thicker, presumably due to heavier shielding. The extra length allows you to sit a comfortable distance from the TV and the image is very sharp. For the low price, we view this as a very worthwhile investment.

  This was a great buy. A friend of mine purchased it and he loves it as well. Some complain about a missing pin, who cares? It will work perfectly for hooking your computer/laptop up to your HDTV (if it has the right port available).

  I looked at so many more expensive cables (super dooper gold plated...blah blah blah), but got this one hoping it would be fine for what I needed. It is more than fine - it does the job and then some. I have no complaints AT ALL about the picture quality - it is simply great. We originally got the cable to display our travel pictures for friends on our LG LCD screen, but have liked this cable so much, we have begun downloading movies and TV shows to our laptop and playing them back through the cable. Amazing. The cable has an audio plug too, so the sound can run through the TV as well. Don't hesitate - this is a great product and is reasonably priced. As far as I can see, no need for the super shiny expensive cable.

  Really there's not much to say about an svga cable. It does the job! I have a flat screen tv and have a computer that I use as a media center. I have a bluetooth keyboard and wanted to view the computer through my flatscreen. I didn't want just a vga cable, as I know the quality is not always the best. I absolutely REFUSED to pay $60 for an SVGA cable at one of the big computer outlets, so I purchased one from computers to go.
  
  This is the first item I EVER bought from amazon.com (and my first purchase ever on the internet was via amazon.com many moons ago) that took longer than they said it would. It took almost three weeks to get to me! I'm on the east coast, but come on! Get the cable, it does the job. Just get it from someone else!

  Note everybody that the cable is not SVGA but it is UVGA that is the highest quality available and supports HD 1080p. You can check that from the vendor's web. The price is cheap. I saw an SVGA cable in one local store for >$50! So go for it. Now I can use my 40" digital TV as a huge monitor!

  When I first took this package out, I thought I had stepped back through time - thick shielding, ferrites on both ends and even extra nuts for screwing in extensions; this is one serious cable, and for less than most retail "cheapo" models! Needless to say, it works perfectly when hooked up to my 20" LCD TV from my main rig.

  Cables arrived as promised, but included with the monitor cable was an integrated second single plug-in cable, not pictured or described in the order. I have no idea what it is for and I simply taped it to monitor cable for future use, if I ever discover its purpose. Cable works fine without it.

  I have a HP Pavilion notebook that I connect to my 32in HDTV (EMPREX). Picture is great, cord works great. Had a little problem getting it to fit the TV's slot because of the cylindrical thing on the wire kinda of impeded it, but worked fine. I would advise you to check your TV and make sure you can fit it, but I'd say most should work fine. I'm typing this review on the TV as I write. The picture is very clear and I am very pleased. ClearAV also did good job w/ shipping. A buy in my book.

  Reliability is no small thing. A faulty cable connection can make one suspect all sorts of failures in the attached components and can cost someone a lot of wasted time trying to diagnose the problem. This one now connects a CPU's USB port to the USB connection on my monitor, so that I can use the extra USB connections that are part of the monitor's perks. Their positioning makes certain connections neater and more practical than those on the back of the CPU or those in my attached small hub. Having a cable that worked immediately and continues to work just makes life that much easier. Cables to Go was out of this cable when I went directly to their site, but Amazon had exactly the Cables-to-Go cable I wanted readily available. Another plus for Amazon and its clever buyers.

  I hooked these cables up to my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop and my new Vizio 32" LCD HDTV. Excellent picture on the TV playing DVD's on my laptop as well as clear, sharp presentation of my desktop on the Vizio when using as a monitor. This is not a "plug and play" operation. Finding info as to how to get my laptop to output the signal to my TV took a lot of searching, but it's very easy once you know what to do.
