It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out, does it? If you have an Epson Stylus Photo printer from the R200, R220, R300, R320, R340, RX500, RX600, or RX620 series, you're going to run out of ink eventually. The only real bugaboo with these printers is the fact that you must have ink in every single cartridge (and there are six of them, counting the black cartridge) in order to print. Perhaps, if you have plenty of ink in five cartridges but are running low on, say, light magenta, it would make sense to go out and buy just the single replacement cartridge you need. More often than not, though, you probably run out of ink in most or all of the color cartridges around the same time. Adding up the cost of five individual color ink cartridges is not fun, especially if you have to drop a bundle on color ink when all you want to do is print in black only. What can you do? Read on.
First of all, go ahead and let it out - curse your printer and Epson for the high cost of ink and the fact that you can't even print a text document until you ante up for a bunch of weird colors like light cyan and magenta. That's Step 1. Step 2, which I would recommend just skipping altogether, is to take a gander at all of these cheaper third-party ink cartridges that are supposed to work just fine in your printer. You really don't want to go mucking around with any of that third-party stuff. Stick with the genuine article from Epson itself. Now you're ready for Step 3: hit the Internet and start comparing price information for online sellers, local office supply houses, etc. Unless something changes in the future, I can pretty much guarantee you'll end up at the page you're on right now. Buying all five color cartridges as a group is cheaper than buying them individually, and I doubt you'll find a better price than you'll find right here. Sure, it hurts to pay even this much for a bunch of stupid ink, but you really don't have a choice in the matter.
At least the ink cartridges are easy to change - and you won't even get any ink on your fingers doing it. And you know they'll all work just fine because they're genuine Epson ink cartridges. This multipack really is the only way to go.

Buying the ink for my RX600 in a multipack like this is a definite cost savings over buying the individual cartridges separately. I would have bought the ink from Office Depot or Staple's but they didn't have the multipack and their individual cartridges cost more than this multipack. Amazon.com wins again!

Of course using the ink that your printer requires is the only way to go when you are printing pictures from your computer. i really liked the idea of having all the colors in one package and the quality was great. the only thing i would have liked is a package that also included a black ink cartridge, i am sure there would have been a further savings, instead of a seperate purchase

Epson has come up with a smart item, for you get original cartridges at a good discount. Epson should add, however, a black cartridge, to make the buy smartest. Add the black and get a fifth star.

Please be aware that this so called Multipack does not contain a black ink cartridge. I use my Epson R220 for photos only and the black is used up as quickly as the reds and blues. Be sure to order a seperate black ink cartridge.

After trying a cheaper imitation ink cartridge, I can now say that using Epson ink cartridges is the only reliable way to keep your printer working properly. This is mainly true for color accuracy of printed color material. Now I am convinced.

There's not much to say about this product...It's Ink after all. The multipack is a decent way to save money and Amazon has the best price I've found for new Epson Brand cartridges IF you take advantage of the free shipping. Paying for faster shipping defeats the price savings over local office supply stores (if you can find the multi-pack in the stores). Most everyone has the individual packs, which are a rip-off if you are buying more than one cartridge at a time. Each cartridge is individually packaged so you dont have to install them right away if you only need one or two immediately. LOL, OK so there WAS a bit to say about it!

Epson ink is a rip off. Pages nowhere near the advertised number. They work well but don't last. Most ink cartridges are the same, they give away the printer and make their money on ink.

Bought the Stylus Photo R200 about a year ago so I could print onto CDs.
Initially I printed about 30 or so and let the machine sit for about six or eight months until I could get back to printing the CDs. Well I'd never purchased any additional inks for the printer and thought it was about time. Last nite I went to BJs Wholesale Club and guess what I found???
Yep, the ENTIRE 6 Ink bundled (from Epson) for $59.95. All six inks.
Talk about a happy camper. Now Amazon has good prices. No question. Staples and Office Depot are higher. But never thought to try BJ's. . . .If you have something like this in your neighborhood (SAMS?) you might give it a try. Never know what you might find.
PS. Very noteworthy to point out that the machine picked right up where it left off. Beautiful colors with no problems after sitting around idle for so long. Not so with a Brother all-in-one that I'd purchase awhile back. But then I'm told that buying some of the "compatible" inks (rather than the ink supplied by the manufacturer) could have a lot to do with the terrible printing that the Brother would do after sitting around for a week or so unused.

I am conditioned to purchasing this item at the store where the black cartridge is included in the multipack. This one does not have it so you have to purchase it seperately. This way you pay double the amount of money on shipping charges and you have to wait till you receive it. Meanwhile, tough luck if you run out of ink. Yeah; it is a little cheaper here but it all evens out with the shipping charges. Next time I'm going back to the store where you can get all six cartridges in one multipack.

Good price, if I were to drive to the store it would cost me $8 in gas (closest town is 50 miles away) plus the price of the ink. So for me the savings are somewhere in the $25 range.
