As good or better!

This replacement is as good or better than the original that came with the camera. Charges well and holds a charge at least as well as the original battery. There is no lag time in taking photos and I have no reason to think it won't continue to be as good!!!

I'm conservative about by non-OE accessories for camera equipment. But these batteries were cheap enough compared to Canon's own that some risk was warranted. (and my 10D is old nowadays!). ANYWAYS...very nice battery. I shot 400 images in Colorado over the Holidays and the battery is still going strong. This is better than new Canon Batteries. Highly recommended and a good value.

This is a great battery at a great price. I just charged the battery for the first time since NOVEMBER... meaning that this battery appears to perform better than the factory battery I had to replace (since it quit holding a charge).
I highly recommend this item as a replacement for any Canon G3 camera.

As good as the battery it replaces

During a recent vacation where we used this battery as a replacement for the original battery, it did GREAT. With what I know today, it seems to be just as good as the original. Better value though as it was less than half the cost of the one that says Canon on it. I can't give it 5 stars due to the brevity of my experience with this battery. If it is still performing like this in 6-12 months, I'd give it an ecstatic 5 stars.

Short and sweet: I can only tell this isn't a Canon battery because my bank account has more money in it. Works great, no problems, holds charge, perfect.
- Not a High Performer

I was hoping this would be a decent alternative to the Canon battery. I charged it, shot 20 pics with it, let the camera sit for a week, and the battery was dead. After this experience, I am pretty certain paying the full amount for a Canon battery is the way to go.

I was a little skeptical of this product because it was priced so much lower than the factory product from Canon. I purchased them anyway because they had been given good reviews. I used them on a trip to Italy and was not disappointed. The capacity of these batteries far exceeds the originals. I was able to get about 250 pictures (with multiple reviews on the camera LCD screen) before the battery dropped to 25%. They also seem to hold a charge when not in use as well. I'm so glad I purchased these batteries. I paid about $12 for 2 and saved about $108 by not purchasing the Canon product! Save your money and get a superior product. The company also issued a warranty with these batteries as well.

This works better than the Canon bran batteries that I currently have. You simply can't beat the price either. I only wish I would have known about these batteries before I bought my second Canon Brand Battery.

I've been through several sets of BP511s. This one from Ultralast seems well built with decent material. I've been using it for several weeks and can't tell if there's anything different than the original Canon batteries.

The battery came on time. It charged about the same as my original Canon BP-511 battery and worked fine. I didn't see any difference in operation compared to the Canon battery. I am quite satisfied with this item particularly since the price was about 10% of the Canon part.

The battery works fine has allowed me to take over 50 6Mp pictures on a single charge. On problem however, is the indicator on the camera only shows the battery to be half full even when the battery is fully charged.

This is the second Canon DSLR that I have bought aftermarket batteries for and I have no regrets. These batteries charge just like the Canon and I have not noticed any lack of power. Have bought two more for my 40D since this one.

Like anyone, I was hesitant about replacing a $70 Canon battery with the $5 Ultralast. Since my SLR is several years old, it seemed worth the risk. The battery works great, and charges in my old Canon charger. It was perfect timing, just as my Canon battery started to not be able to hold a charge (after 30,000 shots, btw). I can't speak for longevity yet, but for $5, it's still a great value if it makes it for a 1/3 of the life of the original battery...for the price, I should've ordered an extra.

I purchased 2 of these batteries as backups to the included Canon battery for the 40D. After testing, I am using this as my main battery and the Canon as a backup. Excellent value.

My Canon supplied battery was slowly headed to the battery happy hunting ground. With the battery priced as it was, I ordered two of them. I have charged them up and the one I am currently using has lasted a long time on the first charge. I am very happy with them so far. Only time will tell.

The original Canon battery failed much earlier that I would have expected. Then I was disgusted to see that Canon already stopped supporting and making devices for this camera. I guess they expect you to throw away a digital SLR every few years like a PC.
I was a bit worried that this third party batter would not be compatible or not hold a charge but I have taken well over 100 pics, many with the camera's attached flash, and the battery is still reading full.

I bought 2 to keep one as a backup when the Canon battery gave out on me. They look exactly they same and charged fine. The long term quality of these will determine their worth, but at about 1/4 the cost of the Canon battery, I may still get more time out of these and spend about the same as on the Canon battery.

I bought this battery, with a little skepticism I have to say, since it was the first non-Canon battery for my camera. The generic brand has worked perfectly, so why pay twice as much for the name brand?

I picked up four of these babies for the price of one "Canon" brand. I figured if a couple were duds (I have had DOA rechargeable batteries before regardless of mfg.), I'd still have spares.
Imagine how pleased I was when all four worked just peachy! 2 months and some ten-thousand shots later, they're all holding charge fine. I ALWAYS have a fully charged spare ready to go now.
Buy this battery (hell, buy a couple) and spend the money elsewhere.

I bought the battery as a backup for my 10and30ds. I'll keep this short
Pros:
quick charge, works well, perfect fit, CHEAP!!!!!
Cons:
battery goes faster than other batteries. It gets through a 2hour shoot just fine. But by the time your done.. so is the battery:) Looking @ it i think it's bc the battery is rated @ 7.2V. The official canon battery is rated @ 7.4V. That things lasts forever! :)

I'd recomend it as a spare battery. I'd even get another one just for that purpose. The price more than justifies the battery life for me. I just keep my chargers close :)

This product works great. So far, I haven't been able to tell a difference in the quality versus the Canon equivalent. What a savings if this battery lasts as long as the Canon.
However, if you need this product quickly, don't hold your breath. I ordered two-day shipping and got it in four days. Beware!!!

This is an excellent alternative to Canon's expensive battery. It charges, quickly and holds a charge. My original Canon battery stopped holding a charge after 3 - 4 years of low to moderate use. We'll see how this holds up. At his price, can't go wrong.

I bought this battery as a replacement for the OEM battery in my Canon G5. So far it runs very well, takes a charge no problem, and last quite a while. It gets four stars because I have only been using it for a couple weeks, and still could die, but so far it is a good performer.
The only complaint I have is the company that handled the mailing, would add ANOTHER $6.00 for EACH battery shipped. This is a complete rip-off, as it wouldn't in reality cost any more to send four batteries, than it would to send one, AND it was sent 1st class, not Priority, and for $6.00 it should have gone Priority. The shipping is a complete scam, buy it local if you can.
