Not your mother's Pyrex. Avoid this product.

We had this featured 9 x 13 inch Pyrex baking dish explode in the oven on Christmas Day, 12/25/07. We were baking a potato recipe in it, and about 30 minutes into baking, the dish exploded as I opened the oven door to remove a baking sheet on the rack above it. Broken glass and potato covered the inside of the oven. This is the second Pyrex dish I've had explode: the first was two years ago when I removed a casserole from the oven and set it on cork trivets to cool. I heard a large crash and ran into the room to find glass and food all over my kitchen. Some of the glass was found more than 10 feet away from the kitchen counter where the casserole was cooling. After this week's explosion, I won't be buying Pyrex ever again, and my glass Pyrex measuring cups went into the recycle bin. No more Pyrex in my house.

I have a pyrex bakeware dish which I love. It cleans well and bakes evenly. The lid is easy on and off and keeps food fresh. I bought this as a wedding present because I love mine so much. A MUST HAVE!!! for newlyweds and long time married or single folk.

I have had a ton of 9x13 metal pans with the lids because I usually end up taking baked good to work or other functions, after being frustrated with rusting pans, or hard to clean pan, I had given up hope on having a covered 9X13 - well then Pyrex did it! I love the flexiable lid, the easy cleanup of the pan, and the fact that all my products come out cooked evenly. This pan is worth more than $8.00 easily!

Sure, I tried to justify a more expensive/fancier baking dish. But it always comes back to Pyrex - tried and true, and a great price. It's a great basic for any kitchen.

I have also given up on disposable pans, even though a local closeout store sells them for 25 cents or less per pan. I don't use any fancy dishes because they are not durable and I'd feel horrible if they broke on me.
I have baked tons of dishes in these (I own a few), and the storage lid is handy.
Buy it and you'll love it.

I love pyrex dishes. I like the idea that it comes with a cover. My older pyrex that I've had over 30 years didn't come with covers. I bought two of these and pass along my older pyrex to my son. He loves them as well. Highly recommend investing in any pyrex dishes as they are an item that will remain in your kitchen forever. You will have many uses for them. It will make you look into buying some other sizes that Pyrex has to offer.

This is a great pyrex piece you can't live without. The cover is sturdy and perfect to keep a cake or a lasagna super fresh. Five stars.

This is great for doing deserts that don't really require baking. It's quick and easy to cover and it seals pretty well. So far there hasn't been any warping with the lid in the dishwasher and the glass cleans up great. If you are looking for a good summer time desert serving dish then this is the one.

My son gave me these for Mother's day. One for Lasagna(rectangle), Brownies (square), baked beans or casseroles and bread. Love them! Love them! The tops work great and easy to remove for old fingers. I am matchie matchie and I have tops too! Who says pretty has to be stupid!
